Originating from a negative story from Graham Linehan of the IQ crowd trying to get funding for a children's charity revoked, Hbomberguy a youtuber and "gamer" has been doing a charity stream for Mermaids and has raised over 30k for them, originally his final goal was 15k but reached that about 7 hours in. Currently he's asleep as he didn't perfectly plan the stream but after a few hours he'll return to continue the stream, he's aided by many left wing youtubers such as Foldable Ideas, Philosophy Tube, Shaun(of Shaun and Jen), Three Arrows, and Jim Sterling(He's more focused on the games industry but he's very pro-workers' rights, consumers' rights, and progressive so he's friends with lots of them). The guests are currently hanging out entertaining people while they await his return to poorly finish the 101% speedrun that has lasted over 19 hours to beat Donkey Kong 64. Though he has left a skeleton on camera to sit in for him.

Currently they're at about 44k for charity.

So update to the stream. It started out with a goal of 15k for trans and queer youth via the charity Mermaids. Mermaids being an organization that funds support groups and information and provides resources to trangender and queer youth, as well as for families with trans and queer members.

There are many more, but I'm not sure people would know who they are as they're mostly twitter people(I am friends with certain ones as well so I know of them but I don't think most would unless they're in trans twitter, such as CaseyExplosion who does great informative threads on trans rights and transphobic hate groups).

The stream is still going, they're during another guests only break as Hbomberguy is asleep. All subscriptions and bits donated are also going to Mermaids so I managed to subscribe to donate. But it's ok to just watch and enjoy all these personalities though I might recommending checking in mainly when Hbomberguy is actually awake. Otherwise it's more of a podcast of a few people trying to stay awake.

It was published a bit go but a recent article with more information and responses from some of the thousands of UK academics who signed the open letter affirming LGBTQIA+ rights and acceptance in universities in response to a letter signed by thirty or so academics who were against trans rights and acceptance.
