Here’s my O/Os!

I don't know who this Muse person is, but if it explains away the voices in my head, then I'm all for it!

Vergil Tanner

Haha, I've been in the same position before, don't worry :P We might open up second characters later on, though. If we do, I'm using my GM authority to bugsy Captain Britain. :P

Men in general judge more by the sense of sight than by that of touch, because everyone can see but few can test by feeling. Everyone sees what you seem to be, few know what you really are; and those few do not dare take a stand against the general opinion. Therefore it is unnecessary to have all the qualities I have enumerated, but it is very necessary to appear to have them. And I shall dare to say this also, that to have them and always observe them is injurious, and that to appear to have them is useful; to appear merciful, faithful, humane, religious, upright, and be so, but with a mind so framed that should you require not to be so, you may be able and know how to change to the opposite.

Dubbed the "Oath of Drake,"
A noble philosophy; I adhere...for now.

Ok guys! UNLESS YOU HAVE ALREADY HAD YOUR CHARACTER IDEA APPROVED OR DISCUSSED, we are temporarily no longer recruiting for the New Avengers; we need a couple of Wildcards! Further, we need FEMALE characters now to balance things out! Please and thank you! :D

Also, guys, please make sure to get your bios in ASAP so we can ascertain what our balance looks like. It's difficult to figure out what we need if we don't have committed people. It's first come first served, so...get it done as soon as you can, please. :-)

Ok, so, looking at our current concept list, it looks something like this:

= The New Avengers =

The Leader: Kitty Pryde / Shadowcat
The Tactician: Hybrid
The Techie: Peter Quill / Starlord
The Brute/Brawler: Lady Sif
The Sorcerer:
The Sneak: Scarlet Spider
The Heart: Sam Wilson / Captain America

= The Wildcards: =

The Leader: Flash Thompson / Agent Venom
The Tactician: Winter Solider
The Techie: Prowler
The Brute/Brawler: Khalidah Janneck / Callisto
The Sorcerer: Magik
The Sneak: Blade
The Heart:

In terms of balance, that leaves us with an even 6/6 split per team, but an 8/4 split M/F. So....we need Four More Female Characters, two in the New Avengers and two in the Wildcards.
Since we only have one more archetype, Alix and I have talked it over and have decided to introduce a final Archetype:

The Specialist: This character relies on one specific trait or skill to get their shit done, rather than an obviously aggressive superpower; be it their extraordinary brains, their compassion and empathy, their special gadgets, their detective skills, their extreme accuracy with ranged weapons or a special affinity in spycraft and disguise, they use their skills to make up what they might lack in sheer physical power in order to be a valuable asset to the team. They might not have powerful eyebeams or super strength...but they're just as dangerous in their own way.

The roles we are looking for female characters for are:

New Avengers:

The Sorcerer: Possibilities include Scarlet Witch, Satana, Talisman, Clea, Nico Minoru, Tarot and Amanda Sefton.
The Specialist: Could be literally anybody from Moira Mctaggart - a non-combatant, but extremely intelligent - to Black Widow, or the current Hawkeye (who is indeed female) to Black Cat. Even Kitty Pryde would fit the bill, were she not already taken!

The Wildcards:

The Heart: Could be literally any anti-hero who is at least a bit more cuddly than the others. This one is a bit too nebulous to give options for.
The Specialist: See above!

Those are the roles we need filling, and once they've been reserved - with FEMALE characters - we'll be closing applications and awaiting those bios to be turned in. First come first served, so get your Character Requests in quickly!

And if we've forgotten anybody, please let us know. XD

This is shaping up to be a real fun time! Come on, ladies! There's enough plot to go around!

A&A

Vergil Tanner

I agree, Blockade! More than enough "plot" to go around! And by "plot" I mean "Supercock!" AND real plot, since we already have an actual plot kinda planned out! :D

And haha, Z...there are actually a fair amount of them to choose from, providing you're ok with A) choosing a more "straight laced" character (or re-writing the background a little to make her straight laced) and B) choosing a more....obscure character. :-) OF COURSE, if they're above a certain "power level," you might want to consider toning the strength down just a touch. EG, if you were to hypothetically go with Selene, she'd need to be toned down since she's the single strongest female magic user in the MU. At her most powerful, she wouldn't really NEED a team. XD

Clearly a genderbent Doctor Doom is what we're looking for here  ;D

Haha, whilst that would be amusing if nothing else, alas, that isn't an option, simply because Doom factors into aforementioned plot and reformed villains are - at this moment in time - a no-go :P But I thank you for the case of the giggles you just gave me :P

That was the plan  ;)

These two were what I was thinking about so far.
A&A

Vergil Tanner

Ok, well! Both of them are powerful magic users in their own rights, BUT make sure to both ensure that they're decent fits for the more "straight and narrow" New Avengers, and that they are power-scaled to a more appropriate level for teamwork. :P This is the Marvel Universe, yes, but I still want basic limits on it. It's no fun if one character is heads and shoulders above everybody else. :P So no summoning an infinite army of demons, ok? :P

Out of those two, Alix and I think that Ananym would be the better fit, HOWEVER, no Ultimate Demon Form. :P

That's kind of what I was thinking as well, and obviously no MEGA DEMON AVATAR, hehe
A&A

Vergil Tanner

Haha, so....are you going with Ananym for New Avenger Sorcerer (if you are, we'd like Belasco to still be ruler of Limbo please :-) ) or are you still humming and haaing? If you're going with Ananym, I'll reserve her for you. If you're still considering, I have some other options that could be a good idea and I'll hold off reserving until you've made a choice :-)

Sure!  I'll go with Ananym, and naturally Belasco would be best to have around for a potential threat at some point  ;)

Might be a day or two before I get the bio put together

And yes, Alix...the Bewbage is strong with this one. :P
