On another note, M-Day happened. But the mutant gene wasn't removed from the mutants who lost their powers. It was simply put into permanent remission. So mutant children are beginning to pop up rather frequently now.

When he was growing up, Ilyana taught Raiga all that she could about Magic and how to control the mystical energies of the universe, but spells and incantations never seemed to stick with the boy, and he could never learn them, no matter how much his mother tried. Frustrated, knowing her son should at least how to use it, she tried to devise a way for him to learn some control over magic, as he would be the next Ruler of Limbo after her. Finding an Old Spell book within an Ancient Library, Ilyana stumbled upon what is known in Limbo as "Aura Magic", something similar to Raiga's mutant ability. This 'battle magic' was used during an Ancient war to give the warriors of Limbo an edge against their enemies, and required merely concentration and sufficient magical power to activate. Ilyana decided to teach Raiga these Aura magics, knowing that the boy had magical power rivaling her own, but not the skill needed to form this magical energy into spells.

Her Training paid off, Raiga learning how to use this Ancient Magic after training for five years under his mother, but it was not enough to help him fully control it. Illyana sent her son to the only trustworthy people that could help him control this ability, the X-men, to help him while she stayed in Limbo as it's Ruler for the time being. He was 10 at the time when his mutant ability appeared, and has thus been at the Institute for seven years, learning to control his mutant ability.

Character Name: Jacqueline Soria
Nickname(s): Jack; Jackie
Code Name: Broodmother
Parent(s):
Mother: Adriana Soria
Father: Unknown
Role: Villain
Character Model:
With Makeup

Gender: Female
Birthdate: June 28, 2033
Age: 22
Birthplace: Facility within the London Underground
Nationality: Presumed Caucasian
Orientation: Pansexual
Dominance: Dominant

Height: 5'6"
Weight: 136
Eye Color: Violet
Hair Color: Violet (Natural, Dyed Bright Green)

Known Mutant Power(s):

Active:

  • Total control of insects and insectoid species.  Strong influence over other insect-related mutants.
  • Capable of producing pheromones to influence the emotions of others.
  • Able to give birth to a variety of mutant insects with enhanced strength and other unusual abilities.

Passive:

  • Immunity to poisons originating from insect species.
  • Reincarnation:  If "killed", Jacqueline is able to use her former body as a cocoon and be reborn several years older than her previous state.  Presumably, if her physical body became too old, she would come back as a child once more.

Weaknesses:

  • Insecticides and other man-made poisons.
  • Phobia of reptiles and large birds.
  • Without her insect swarms, Jacqueline is every bit as vulnerable as a normal human being.  Being a bit "soft around the edges", she is not much of one for direct combat.

Personality:

Jackie has a very eccentric personality, something most likely caused by her very unusual and physically exhausting ability to give birth to "monstrosities" on a regular basis.  She considers herself to be something of an artist playing God, with her womb as the canvas to give life to entirely new species that would otherwise never evolve in a natural environment.  Her interest in bugs is obsessive, and she goes out of her way to avoid killing them whenever possible.  Whenever someone purposefully stomps an insect in her presence she becomes visibly distraught, berating the individual for their "murderous tendencies".  When one of her own brood is slain she will become overcome with grief and rage; understandably, as they are quite literally her children.

Strangely enough, she does not harbor the anti-human prejudice that seems to be a common stereotype amongst most insect-inspired super villains.  Though holding the opinion that "her kind" are not meant to be at the bottom of the food chain, she also accepts that the consumption of insects is necessary for the balance of nature to hold strong.  Watching a bug be eaten by some predator is enough to make her uncomfortable, but if it is for sustenance she will not intervene.  Humans that do not go out of their way to step on "pests" are perfectly alright in her book.

Her insect-related tendencies aside, Jacqueline is not a typically nasty villain.  She does what she must in order to survive, and is not much one for grandiose plots or slaughtering innocents.  When "on the job" she has a tendency to fall into theatrics, even going so far as to forget the original goal of the mission in order to put on a good show and get a few laughs.  This does not do much to put her in the good graces of her fellow "Mutant Terrorists" that continue to follow the code of Magneto, though when she is forced to concentrate the results can be absolutely terrifying.

Though generally friendly, she can be understandably difficult to approach due to the nature of her powers.  She tends to require a great deal of personal space, particularly during "spawning periods", at which point she may hole herself up in her room for days at a time.  When her reserves of "children" are satisfactory she can be far more social, though even her fellow mutants have a tendency to shun her.  As a result Jackie prefers the company of the more "freakish" mutants, particularly those with inhuman appearances that have to deal with a similar amount of social stigma.  A bit chatty and naive, she prefers to put on a warmer front instead of dwelling on her painful origins.

Her biggest vice is her weight; the constant strain of having to provide for so many creatures forces her to require plenty of food so that she doesn't waste away to nothing.  Though certainly not fat by any means, she secretly wishes she could look like all the athletic, skinny, and "pleasing" mutants that she sees on television or during her acts of villainy.

History:

Though she does not speak of her mother to anyone, there are those that vaguely remember the infamous "Queen" that held New York hostage with explosives, mind controlled countless innocents, and even went so far as to mutate Spiderman into a hideous beast in order to spawn her own super powered children.  The plan ultimately failed, and Adriana Soria was presumed to have been killed in an explosion when her plans finally came crumbling down around her.  Jacqueline does not know the details of her mother's survival, only that she made her escape to Europe in disgrace after being severely wounded.  Though her power of the mind remained great, her body would only grow more and more frail from disuse.  Harboring an intense loathing for humanity and particularly Spiderman, the Queen plotted to give birth to a child that could succeed where she had failed.

Presumably the vile woman used her unnatural power to seduce some prize specimen of a man, perhaps even a fellow mutant like herself, and rape him for his seed.  Though the Queen eventually gave birth as a result, her unusual physiology resulted in an all too fitting end for the super villainess: Jacqueline developed into that of a prepubescent child within her mother's body, eventually bursting forth in a grisly display that killed Adriana almost instantly.  In the way of some insects her child was able to survive by sustaining herself on her own mother's body.

Thankfully the Queen suspected such an abnormality might occur, having remembered the near fatal incident with Spiderman years before.  The facility in which she was housed took over immediately, the computers instructing a quickly developing mind in the ways of humanity.  Furthermore, it indoctrinated her with a severe hatred of both Spiderman and Captain America and the way to combat them, all part of her mother's plan to unleash a weapon of vengeance upon her former enemies.  But by the time Jacqueline was directed to the surface world, supplied with an address to a home and enough money to sustain herself, the enemies she had been raised to defeat were no longer active or even relevant.

Without any clear purpose to guide her, Jacqueline became cloistered within her inherited estate until she reached the peak of her maturity, when her first mutant abilities became manifest.  For nearly a year she produced unspeakable creatures, transforming the house and the ground beneath it into a veritable hive, with her as its Broodmother.  Eventually her neighbors noticed something was amiss, and when the authorities arrived all hell broke loose.  As could be expected, the police panicked and some were immediately devoured by the insect hordes.  Special Forces were called in, along with several well-known heroes, in order to eradicate the infestation.  Confused and terrified she fled from her only residence, the shrieks of her children echoing in her mind.

It was some time before she came into contact with the followers of Magneto's creed in America, finally fleeing to her mother's birthplace in the hope that she might find some safe haven.  She has plenty of horror stories to tell of her times abroad, when "home" happened to be whatever abandoned basement could be turned into a nest, and each time resulted in a similar extermination that made her increasingly desperate to find those that would understand and accept her.  All she knew was that it would be "impossible" for her to ever become a "good guy", as she puts it.  Though society might accept mutants, there were certain powers that the general public would always despise.  Especially ones involving "Creepy Crawlies".  Her longing to be accepted by society, rather than its destroyer, frequently puts her at odds with her fellow Mutant Supremacists, making her more of a Reluctant Villain than anything else.

#28
Character Name: Gwendolyn Grace
Nickname(s): Gwen, Gigi
Code Name: Singe (Widely known mercenary title), Starburst (Abandoned X-Men title)
Parent(s): Scott Summers (Cyclops), Emma Frost
Role: Independent

Gender: Female
Birthdate: June 21
Age: 28
Birthplace: New York
Nationality: White
Orientation: Open
Dominance: Switch, leaning dominant

Height: 5'9"
Weight: 145
Eye Color: Brown
Hair Color: Brown

Known Mutant Power(s):
Energy Production: Inherited from her father, Gwen possesses the ability to open dimensional portals to produce beams of varying intensity. However, hers is more advanced, allowing her to open them anywhere on her body. She has also sustained no head trauma, allowing her to retain personal control over the beams without any mechanical or magical aid. This allows her much finer control over every aspect of the beam production. Gwen is also not limited only to kinetic energy bursts - indeed, she has developed the ability to summon several types of energy, greatly widening her applicability. Among her many talents are abilities such as flight via carefully controlled kinetic bursts. Skills like this do not come naturally, however.
Energy Accumulation: She gathers primary energy from ultraviolet radiation, but due to her psychic abilities, can gather secondary energy from the living things in the vicinity. This can be an effective strategy against opponents, but can be devastating to the surrounding biosphere. This is a desperation ability.
Diamond Form: Inherited from her mother, Gwen can instantly turn the outer inch of her body into an organic composite denser than diamond and just as resplendent. This gives her incredible superhuman strength and durability, but renders her incapable of energy production and suppresses her psychic abilities. She also seems to lose a measure of reasoning ability, turning essentially into a brute.
Telepathy: Instead of honing her abilities to make them stronger, Gwen has instead devoted her life to suppressing her telepathy. Being somewhat of a misanthrope, she would rather shut people out than be able to manipulate them. However, with her mother being one of the most powerful psychics known, she has a certain amount of innate ability and boundless potential. This in fact allows her to suppress it effectively, and most psychics are unaware that she is one of them, though higher level psychics can pick her out easily.
Telekinesis: A relatively new ability for Gwen, she is only beginning to practice it. At present, her talent is unwieldy at best, with unpredictable results. She discovered this ability in a moment of distress, and for now, she only uses it reflexively in battle.

Weaknesses: Psychics more powerful or skilled than Gwen can overwhelm her defenses and take advantage of her relative inexperience. Dimensional and temporal distortions can (but do not as a rule) interfere with her ability to form her energy portals correctly. She has a measure of mutant durability, but is relatively squishy, unless she is in crystalline form. When she is in crystalline form, there is a single point that, if pierced, would cause her to shatter. However, she is still not invulnerable in that form, and concussions of sufficient force can crack the material, resulting in a wound that will remain when she turns back. Many of her energy-based abilities such as flight can be rather easily disrupted by breaking her concentration enough, as no amount of practice can make portal creation second nature to what is essentially still a human.

History: Born Gwendolyn Summers-Frost, she was the youngest of a long line of Summers children. However, given Scott Summers' flaky ways with women, Gwen was raised primarily by her mother. Emma Frost was a caring mother, but her mind always seemed to be on something other than Gwen, leaving the young girl feeling marginalized, and planting the seed of discontent in her heart that would plague her for the rest of her life.

Gwen grew up in the company of heroes, but never truly associated with or related to them. They were people, just like she was, but they were occupied with a particular sense of righteousness that Gwen could never grasp for herself, despite trying. It never made sense to her to value other people, strange unknown people especially, with such single-minded reverence. She could only see people for what they were, compounding her discontent and slowly turning it into a seething misanthropy.

She kept to herself, mostly, throughout her childhood. Her mother occasionally offered to train her, but Gwen wasn't interested in the half-hearted teachings of a distracted progenitor. Having long since developed the ability to amuse herself, she decided to simply suppress her inherited psychic abilities and focus on her energy production, which was far superior in potential to her father's, much to her satisfaction. Gwen developed an incredible range of applications for her talents, becoming the equivalent of a Swiss army knife in terms of energy applications.

The breadth of things she was capable of made her very attractive to contractors, leading her into the life of a mercenary. She was never the most combat-minded mutant, and was rarely called in to do any “heavy lifting” as they called it in the business, but found work to be regular and well-paying. It was also an exploitative enough occupation to sate her undercurrent of disgust. She didn't allow herself to get carried away, and was never abusive, but was also never hesitant to follow the most convenient path towards achieving any given goal, particularly if it resulted in being able to cause a little suffering and be praised for it later. Perhaps she was not evil, but she certainly reveled in schadenfreude.

From birth she was already well known as being the daughter of the long-winded romance of Cyclops and the White Queen. However, because of her strong hate of her father and general disinterest in her mother, she changed her last name from Summers-Frost to Grace, her mother's middle name, which was not well known. She wasn't about to alter her appearance, but the name change allowed her a modicum of peace from time to time.

The newly named Singe became well known in her own right in mercenary circles for her particular brand of mitigated cruelty and the flashiness inherent to her powers. Her celebrity parents and considerable reputation have made sure that she is well known in all mutant circles. Disdain has given her a special kind of extended patience via not considering most conflicts worthwhile, but she is also known for merciless brutality once her ire is awakened. Having no particular aspirations or ambitions, she can't very well be considered a direct threat to anyone, but as she is for hire, must always be considered. Gwen very much enjoys the wariness she inspires.

Coriolys
Character Name:  Petra Maximoff
Nicknames:  Boomer, Pet, Petulant
Code Name:  Coriolys
Parent(s): Luna Maximoff (the daughter of Pietro Maximoff - a.k.a. Quicksilver) and another mutant.
Role:  X-Force
Character Model:  OC by Mogami Rio (Artist)

Gender: Female
Birthdate:  July 23
Age:  18
Birthplace:  San Francisco
Nationality:  Caucasian
Orientation:  Omnisexual
Dominance:  Switch

Height: 5' 5"
Weight: 120 lbs.
Eye Color: Aquamarine
Hair Color: Silver

Known Mutant Power(s): Coriolys - so named because of the swirling patterns use of her powers creates around her - is apparently a short range teleporter.  She can instantly teleport from any location she is in to any location she can see clearly.  Her multiple irises have associated lenses, giving her telescopic and macroscopic vision, enabling her to see clearly for a distance of two or three miles or focus on close to microscopic objects.  She has been known to comment that she cannot see further because of the pollution rather than incapability; visual testing reveals her acute vision is actually closer to ten to twelve miles.  Her nickname 'Boomer' comes from the sonic thunderclaps use of her powers generates.  She is also capable of creating shockwaves at close quarters, shockwaves powerful enough to shatter most materials, liquefy organic material, vaporize liquids, and create momentary vacuums in atmosphere.  This is a short range effect, usually limited to no more than ten feet or so.  Finally, she shows remarkable resilience to most kinetic damage, withstanding almost any form of impact with no injury if she is aware of the attack.  She is not invulnerable; when she is surprised she has been cut and has developed bruises from impacts when she's been struck or hit her body against an obstacle she wasn't aware of.  Normal heat, fire, and cold seem to do no harm to her either, while intense heat from lasers and burning napalm have been known to injure her as well as the intense cold generated by some mutant powers or liquid nitrogen.

Weaknesses: She seems to be unable to use her teleportation when in contact with living organic materials.  Whether this is a real problem or psychosomatic is unknown, as she can teleport with inorganic materials no heavier than what she can normally carry without effort.  Her shockwaves, while exceedingly destructive, have no effect on any adamantium alloys or on vibranium (though the latter does not absorb any kinetic force from her shockwaves).  Electricity causes her power to go wild, and usually several shockwaves erupt from her position, laying waste to anything nearby and causing her intense agony.  She also needs to breathe, and if she vaporizes chemicals nearby through use of her shockwaves, she can accidentally poison herself.  Her teleportation does not work through barriers; if there is a hole large enough for her head, she can teleport through it.  Boomer can teleport to places she cannot see directly, especially if she has been in them or seen them on camera; if she is unfamiliar with a place she will usually refuse to attempt a teleport unless the location is very obviously open and without any intervening objects.  Some energy barriers can hinder her teleportation, while others do not.  Invisible barriers will block her teleports; some mechanism in her mind or body senses them and prevents her from passing through, just as though it were a solid object that was visible.

General Personality/Traits:  Petra seems to have inherited her grandfather's arrogance and disdain for others, a trait which does not endear her to her teammates at all.  She dislikes the polluted atmosphere of cities and laments that that's where all the real problems are; in her opinion oxygen bars were the Japanese' greatest contribution to humankind.  She is not truly confrontational, despite her disdainful attitude, and will usually back down if told off or threatened.  At the same time she is a bully, and will not hesitate to cajole or intimidate others if they seem weaker than her.  She is very clever, and enjoys coming up with plans and ideas, though she takes offense if she is not credited with coming up with them.  While she will obey authority figures, Coriolys does not like being ordered around or treated like a child despite her somewhat immature attitudes.  Petra has a great deal of appreciation for the less humanoid mutants, and finds them just as attractive as she finds humans or human-like mutants.

History:  Petra was born on Earth; it was her mother's last concession to Petra's grandfather, that she would be born on the world where he and Wanda Maximoff were born.  Her father was an Inhuman, and was only vaguely humanoid; she has no body-shape prejudices as a result and can find even the most grotesque mutant attractive.  She arrived at the training facilities of the X-Men already versed in most of her powers, and wanting to do good.  After thorough screening, it was determined she was being honest and wished to reconnect with her Earthling roots as well as help the X-Men keep the threats to humanity at bay.  It quickly became obvious, however, that her powers were almost entirely militaristic in application.  While she could teleport short distances, it was only with a load she could carry easily and get into physically anyways, while there was nothing except extreme destruction that her close-range shockwaves could do, and the limited range didn't help.  The only other power she could contribute to the X-Men was her uncanny vision, which high tech binoculars or telescopes could easily duplicate.

It was not long before she was placed with the heavy hitters - and more vicious group - of X-Force, where she has demonstrated great skill at dealing with heavily armored opponents and speedsters.  Her quick thinking and belligerent attitude does rub many people the wrong way, but she is very fond of saying "The world is all sharp corners and steel wool; if you don't have a thick skin it will rub you raw."

The Well of my Dreams is Poisoned; I draw off the Poison, which becomes the Ink of my Authorship, the Paint upon my Brush.

Colette is a strong independant woman in most aspects. When Joseph is in the picture she becomes a very submissive and quiet.  She's typically a gentle heart who can be sensitive and is very understanding of others needs and feelings.

History:
Colossus and Kitty were two of the original romances of the X-Men and lived on to pass their love for each other into their children. Colette was the youngest and lived in Russia with both her parents during their final days. After M-Day, they just weren’t the same, just as many mutants around the world. They settled with their children, lending a hand to Xavier as needed. When Colette had nearly reached her tenth birthday her parents sent her to the States, with hopes she would become one of the best the X-Men could offer. And it was there, where she grew up, in the Xavier Institute, and within a couple years she learned of her mutant abilities. It started in her dreams and was discovered by her roommate who had nearly been blasted by a force bolt in the midst of one of Colette’s nightmares.

She is now, as her parents would be proud to know, one of the X-Men. She works hard and encourages the continued education of young mutants. Colette is often found at Joseph’s side where she follows him as leader of the Institute.

  • Pretty vulnerable to psychic attacks, and/or mind control
General Personality/Traits:  Claude is a strong willed individual, that tends to think things through and find the optimal way of dealing with the problems. Although occasionally  he does tend to achieve his goals by using some not so legal methods. It's not that he is a bad guy it's just that he tends to adapt even if that means walking along the thin line that separates the good from the bad.

History: After the M-day happened Gambit and Rogue retreated to San Francisco in hopes that there they could raise their children in peace. Since the mutants and the humans managed to live in peace side by side, both Gambit and Rogue figured that they could raise their kid without the fear of him being cast off from society. Claude's first few years went rather well his powers didn't started to come out fully yet, he was acting like a normal child. Playing, sleeping, eating and things like that. Because of that his parents thought that maybe the mutant gene skipped a generation.

His powers were active ever since he was a baby although not that much as someone could have thought, but as the years went by his powers started to grow in power more and more. It was in this time that his father taught him how to fight, during his teen years he had some troubles with controlling his powers, being almost thrown out of school because of destroying the the gym when he accidentally transformed the potential energy of a wight into kinetic energy and blasting a hole with it through a wall.

His parents figured that it would be best for him to go to Xavier's Institute where he could learn to control his powers, and that's what they did, they send Claude to the institute to stay there until he would learn to control his powers. From time to time they came to visit him but one day they didn't come. Later Claude heard that they were killed in a car accident, that made him want to be what they were heroes. So he started to work harder pushing his abilities to their limits and learning to control them. If they were alive they would be proud of him he managed to become a member of the X-men and he is using his powers to help mutants and humans live together.

Character Name: Vanessa Hardy
Nickname(s): Van, Nessa, Ayche (The H in Hardy)
Code Name: N/A
Parent(s):
Mother - Felicia Hardy (Black Cat)
Father - Unknown (Felicia would never tell)

Role: Student / Independent (Good)

Gender: Female
Birthdate: 2027/09/08
Age: 18
Birthplace: New York, New York
Nationality: Caucasian
Orientation: Straight... enough
Dominance: Submissive

Height: 5'6"
Weight: 128
Eye Color: Hazel
Hair Color: Platinum Blonde with Dark Brown low-lites

Known Mutant Power(s):
The alleged 'Bad luck' passive ability that affects probability fields, heightened senses, incredibly athletic (gymnastics, acrobatics, parkour), durability, hand-to-hand combat, the mysterious ability to climb walls solely on her fingertips.

Weaknesses: Unable to really combat any of the villains who are psychic, or can manipulate the elements. If they decide to stand up and fight her on her level, then i would be far more even, otherwise, she's going to be at a loss.

General Personality/Traits: Vanessa has been, for the most part, sheltered from the life of crime fighting and superheroes. Her mother made sure to have her stay a little ways out of New York City when her innate abilities and charms were starting to show in her daughter. Thus, the girl has not been exposed to the real problems surrounding her existence and those of other mutants who are bent on eliminating the human race, or at the very least those with ideals against mutants.

Inheriting her mother's smarts, looks, and charms (among other things), Vanessa is seen as a popular child, and is not disappointed in that fact in the slightest. At times, she can be seen as a little arrogant; over confident in her abilities that it can drive the average person into jealous fits. In essence, a good girl with mischievous tendencies.

History: Vanessa was born in New York, New York under rather incredible circumstances. Well, the birth was as normal as any other, but having a mother who is as famous as hers for all the wrong reasons, it was quite the spectacle in the hospital. Growing up in a rather lavish home with everything one could ever really want and definitely need, the girl grew up well. Taking after her mother in the ways of athletics and never seeming to fail, Felicia, Vanessa's mother, had figured out that her daughter had caught 'the bug' of mutant powers, and tried to nurture this in the most subtle of manners. When puberty struck, the brunt of Vanessa's powers had made itself known, and with a recent crime wave, her mother made sure to send her to live with some relatives out of Big Apple to keep her away from all of it.

For a year or so, it seemed to have worked. It was only when Vanessa read a little too far into her mother's past that her own little crime spree went under way. Being as old as she was, the teenager never went as far as banks or multi-million dollar pieces of art, but rather just homes of people she and her own group of friends didn't quite enjoy. Petty crimes turned into bigger crimes that eventually became rather boring and dull, leaving her instead to feel that her time is better spent getting rid of her 'competition'. Simply donning a black ensemble, Vanessa started her bid to become a local super heroine at the age of eighteen.

Luminous Form (Ability to transform into a winged, nigh-invulnerable, self-sustaining being of golden light)

Good Luck (Not consciously controlled and only works when used for selfless reasons)

Superhuman Agility

Uncontrollable affect that makes people he finds attractive sexually interested in him

Weaknesses:

Unless taking his luminous form, he is reliant upon the ambient light in an area

Fear of taking his luminous form as he can't figure out how to transform back and has previously been stuck in that form for two months, during which numerous people tried to worship him.  Most often, he can change out of his luminous form at will, but about every 4th time, he finds himself stuck in it for at least 24 hours.

Good luck only works when used for selfless reasons

General Personality/Traits:

Social
Dignified but with wild streak only seen by close friends
Slow to warm up to strangers, but not rude
Hesitant of romantic/sexual relationships for fear he's accidentally controlling the person's desires

Physical
Thin with well-toned muscles
Ever so slightly tanned skin that feels tougher than it looks
Only three fingers and a thumb on each hand
Two hearts

History:

Born in Utopia, his parents soon moved back to LA.  His mother “worked” weekends with her new band, putting on sold-out show after sold-out show.  During the week, his father performed missions assigned to him by Xavier for pay.  When Martin was 14, his powers manifested while watching a horror movie with his parents.  Due to the low ambient light, only a dozen people in the theater were mildly burned by the rapid fire of lasers before Longshot knocked his son out.

Martin's agility quickly increased over the next couple years as his parents trained him to harness his abilities.  In perhaps his most embarrassing blunder, Martin discovered his good luck ability when he attempted to rescue a woman who was about to jump off the Grand Canyon.  He tackled her off the cliff, grabbed an outcropping about 4 feet down and managed to, in one steady motion, swing them upwards to the cliff edge again.  The woman was base-jumping.

He discovered his light form while fighting his first villain with his parents when he was 18.  His mother had just taken an energy ray to the chest and Martin thought she was dead.  Freaking out, he suddenly felt his body become weightless and everything around him was bathed in bright golden light.  He blasted the villain thru three walls with a blast of light the size of a sewer lid.  As he rushed to his mother's side, he felt his body grow heavy again.  His mother survived the encounter with a few cracked ribs, but the villain barely survived and has been in a coma since the encounter.

Martin's coming out at 19 didn't surprise his mom, who claimed she always knew and that mothers could just tell these things.  Longshot was surprised by the fact but felt that Martin should live his life in a way that makes him happy.  Martin is guarded about his sexual orientation with most people, despite the number of advances he gets when he goes out.

Martin recently joined the X-Men and often laughs about being grandfathered in.  His mother always tells him not to do anything reckless, but his father often calls him in secret to ask about what adventures Martin's been having and to share stories from his glory days.

Character Name: Alice Patrice Chase
Nicknames: Al, Pat, Patty
Code Name: N/A

Parents: Beautiful Dreamer, Thomas Chase
Role: Independent
Occupation: Private Investigator

Gender: Female
Birthdate: N/A, officially 13th December 2020
Age: N/A, officially 25
Birthplace: New York

Nationality: Caucasian
Orientation: So far straight
Dominance: Switch

Height: 5'5''
Weight: 128 Ibs
Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color:Blonde, with darker blond ends

Known Mutant Powers:
Active:

  • Much like her mother she is able to manipulate people memories or watch them. Reshaping them to her will is no problem to her. She needs to be touching her target, not necessary skin to skin though.
  • Once asleep, she cam move her consciousness into other people dreams (one person at most per dream) and interact with them. Reshaping their dreams as she wants. If she is able to  have her 'victim' go with her to her dreamscape, anything that happens to the consciousness of the person, happens to their body too. They need to go with/after Alice on their own free will, though she can trick them into following her by taking an appearance that would cause them to follow her. Can be forced out of someone's dream if they have strong telepathic powers or someone with those powers backing them up.
Passive:

  • She possesses some telepathic abilities, giving her ability to hear people's thoughts like constant whispers (aside those who do not project their thoughts). During her life she learned to mostly ignore those whispers and they are rarely anything more then annoying buzzing sound in the back of her head. She is not trying to train her apparent telepathic abilities.
  • Her mind sometimes creates dreams or visions that are odd mix of memories (not only her own), nightmares, dreams and occasionally even visions of future, but she is not aware of this. Those dreams she can not reshape.
  • Mediocre shields to intentional telepathic attacks when awake, when asleep the ability switches to active and is far better.
  • Extended lifespan, slowed down ageing process.
Weaknesses:

  • After altering memories, during her next sleep she will be unable to pull someone into her own dreamscape and her abilities of changing the people dreams drops down a lot.
  • When asleep and in someone else's dream she can not be woken up before she returns to her own dream, leaving her vulnerable to assault.
  • If she is longer then 6 hours while not in her dream there is a possibility that she will be unable to return to her dream and body and will fall in coma.
  • Mutants dreams and vivid memories enter her mind when she is not sleeping. If strong enough they can momentary confuse as to who she is, where she is, what is she doing, etc. It can be momentary (few seconds) or long-term (even to weeks).
  • Not skilled in physical fight.

Personality: Alice is not really good, but nor really bad. Or at least she tells so herself. She has nothing against using her powers to complete her work when it was impossible to do so without it, or when it would take much, much longer. Humans and mutants to her are the same and as long as she will be not endangered by either it will stay like that. Threats are usually quickly dealt with, usually by simply changing memories and feeling that came with those toward herself. She does no charity and always awaits some kind of repayment for her P.I. work. But in private she can do some relatively selfless acts.

Tidy in her own way. What to everyone looks like a barely organised mess (her room was stacked with papers, cigarettes, books, clothes, papers again and the office was not much better), she knew where everything was. She does not let anyone clean the place up and gets annoyed when someone touches anything without her permission, though to lesser extent in her office. As mediocre smoker, she has no intention of stopping her habit, no matter what anyone says, but when visiting her father she never smokes in his presence.

So far she had no luck in finding that right person, and she often spends her free days dreaming, roaming in people dreams, most of times simply watching them. She is not prone to fits of anger and seems like rather... Bleak person. Hence she has not many good friends, but in her work-related business, she has some sort of good reputation and loose ties with police. Smart, but introverted, Alice loves reading and it is her hobby. She reads newspapers, books, online texts. And yet thinks little of the world future and politics, aside the few times that they brush her during work. She tends to shy from people, especially mutants, but not to a large degree. It just makes her look shy. To a degree cunning, she could be an asset to either side, but Alice simply hopes that whatever happens worldwide will avoid her.

History: To really know her past, one would have to track her mother to ask, or someone who knew her. Why? Alice mutation awoke early, or maybe it was always there, even in her mother's womb. And she changed her own memories, so many times as child that many of the true ones were lost. As no one no longer lives, who remembers those. So what is true fr her past? Alice does not know. Nor she really cares. The things that she remembers keep her happy.

She was supposedly born at 23:49 on 13th December 2020, in one of many hospitals in New York. The one in the slums, where no one really paid much attention to anything. Supposedly she was born there. Supposedly there were people who remembered that yes, some girl was born that night, but then again many other children were born too. To people the only thing that mattered were the documents. And those said that she was born then. As a healthy little girl whose mother filled all the necessary documents, paid and then few days later left with the child.

On 4th February 2025 Thomas Chase, a normal human met a child on his house footsteps, waiting for him. With the certificate of birth in hand words that mommy was gone, Alice was for the time being cautiously welcomed into the house. Of course Thomas was cautious, but good man. So he paid for DNA tests which did prove that he indeed was the child's father, as he had no twin and the results matched. As questioning the child to whereabouts of her mother was unsuccessful (then again what he could expect from asking a barely four years old girl?), he simply took her in and treated her with care, slowly learning to love that child of his whose mother he was not sure of (he should have listened to his mother that his playboy ways would get him into trouble). He did change his work and moved away with her, t o a place more suited to a child in his mind. Of course it was not utopia. They were a rather normal two-people family, they had good and bad moments, as Thomas had to learn how to care for a child (at least the daughter turned up to be a good way to get a lay).

Alice herself was a rather normal child. Maybe a little more quiet and withdrawn, but relatively normal and when around people she trusted or spend a lot time with, she opened up a little more, turning into bright and smiling child. She was a smart child. Not a genius one, but a smart one none the less and Thomas found what pride at his child successes meant. Of course the girl had occasional nightmares, but to Thomas it was something rather normal given her background. The blonde girl liked her father. He was a nice person. And Thomas never found himself plagued by nightmares. During the years, Alice was  growing up and her father completely accepted her and loved her, she was his only child, his daddy-girl. And Alice found herself spoiled, which was nice and she enjoyed it.

Rather normal teen years. She had her friends and her enemies and even crushes. She appeared as normal as she could. She made mistakes, she succeeded with some things. She was normal. Or at least seemed like normal. Middle-school. Then high-school. People and friends changed. And she grew up more, while her father seemed overly protective over his daughter. But then again he knew what kind of wolves the men were. To his relief, Alice enjoyed more being in home, reading books, surfing through internet and having female friends. Her grades were good. It was obvious that she was intelligent, sometimes even sharp, but some subjects were just not for her. Still, she gave her father little to none trouble, aside occasional skipping class, getting sick, or having few male friends. Or sometimes having different opinion.

All in All Thomas Chase knew that his daughter could be much more problematic. Alice was his baby-girl whom he would always love and protect. She was very dear to him. And the girl, now young woman took advantage of it. She never had to worry about money problems and she was fine with having only few loose friends. The school graduation came fast and then Alice decided to 'study' to be a P.I. It worried her father, it could be a dangerous work and there were others. far better suited for his baby possible futures. But Alice was sure, and would not change her opinion.. So he could only surrender and support her.

Alice was aware she was a mutant. But she was not sure if she wished for her father to know it, so she kept it a secret. Little mattered to her aside leading a rather normal, boring almost life. After finishing school with help of her father and the founds she gathered working as waitress, she opened her own firm. She was an official P.I then. Her office was rather small, not standing out. At first she lived with her father. But as his health grew worse and he had to be hospitalised.. She moved into her office. It had now only one room as office and the other one was hers living place.

Both, she and her father would not sell their house. So they rent it, while the pay went to cover the bills. Alice had enough cases to have enough money to not wory about them, while living not so bad. She enjoys living as she does, in relative peace and little worries, working as P.I. No matter who they were, former mutants, mutants or humans alike. As long as the pay was there and the assignment nothing too dangerous, she was just fine. And wanted to live like that for some time, even if for that she had to alter people memories and use her powers. For her own (and her father's) good, it was perfectly fine after all.

His mother was not around much, due to her music career, but his father was there through his entire childhood. One day, after school, Mike was confronted by an older boy who was trying to steal his bike. He started to run, and was chased by the boy. His mutant gene kicked in and Mike propelled himself through his front door, much to the surprise of his father, who thought that he had gained his father's mutant power. After later uses, Mike found what his true powers were, but used them only when absolutely necessary. Now enrolled at the institute, Mike's biggest goal is to make friends and live the life that his father tells amazing stories about, while learning to better control his powers.

Known Mutant Power(s): healing factor and superhuman resilience.

Weaknesses: Incredable bad luck around women, poor vision, absent-mindedness, clumsyness

General Personality/Traits: Colin is generally a shy, gentle soul, with a "Live and let Live" outlook.  He has been noted to twitch when any of his hobbies are made fun of. His most visible trait though, is his spectacularly bad luck around women. It is a rare day indeed when he doesn't trip and in an attempt to balance unintentionally grope a woman, or pull their skirt down, or walk in on them changing, or 101 other different things. Let's just say, his healing factor gets a work out regularly.

He doesn't know much about his past, beyond that he was adopted. That doesn't worry him that much though. All will be revealed in good time, he thinks.

Weight: 150lbs

Eye Color: Blue

Known Mutant Power(s):

-  Has the power Manipulate metals freely, altering their shape, being able to alter the metal and bending it freely to his will. He has a limit though however, he cannot control the iron in a human's body making it burst out of them or anything similar then that. Unless the metal in their body is the size of a marble, meaning if they swallowed a solid piece of metal or something similar, only then can he manipulate it, he cannot manipulate separate iron atoms to be precise.

- Can freely generate and manipulate magnetic fields. This includes but is not limited to creating an electromagnetic barrier, magnetizing metal objects, and using magnetic currents in his body to give him superhuman strength. He can also uses these fields to create EMP's, or make his body  emit a polarity that is opposite to the Earth's, making him able to fly. Magnetus however, is just as skilled as his father was at the same age, an as his father, his power come with the ages. Therefore lifting heavy objects using magnetic force and creating sucessful EMP's strains his body heavily. He can also disrupt magnetic fields to repel weaker psychological attacks, psychological attacks of normal strenghth are, at best, weakened using this effect, another effect of his young age.
Weaknesses

He hasn't yet achieved the powers his father has, meaning creating wormholes, astral projections, telepathy and altering materials at a sub-atomic level, these powers might be developed as a lot of age comes.....

Almost Genius level intellect.

General Personality/Traits: Has an Extremely bitter personality, hating humans for everything that they have done, shunning mutants wherever they can, he has fully adopted the will and desires of his father, creating a place for mutants and mutants alone, seeing humans not needed in this world. Will treat humans with disrespect and avoid them where ever possible. Although he has a dislike for Mutants which follow ''The way of Charles Xavier'' he does not hate them, leaving them alone in general, but will move and attack them if needed to achieve his goals. Which he believes to be absolute. He treats Mutants who share his belief with great respect, looking out as many allies as he can, he even somewhat respects humans who share his belief.
Because of the bitterness he also developed a sarcastic side, will try to be sarcastic on any given moment.

On the other hand however, he treats his allies and those who share his and his father's goals with the utmost kindness and respect, believing them and himself to be essential to building the new world. Because of his father though, he also believes that he is something of the new Messiah that Magneto was, spreading this belief further and further. Sees himself  thus as the inheritor of Magneto's will and is respected for that throughout the world.

History:

Born in Warsaw, Mateusz (the Polish version of Matthew) always knew that his father, the Great Magneto, would change the world completely, though as such a young age he did not know what his beliefs stood for. Growing older however, discovering his mutant power at the age of four, as he played chess with his father. His father always moved the pieces by mind, explaining that he was ''Special'' and wanted to create a place for ''Special'' people like himself. Matthew wished he could help his father and do the same, and his wish was granted, as his mutant powers jumpstarted and suddenly a black piece, his King, started to move by his will. Once he grew older, into his teens, he began to understand what his father fought for, and did not see him as a bad person. Visiting the concentration Camps Auschwitz, and learning about what his father underwent there, he grew angry. Angry at humanity, how could they treat their own kind like that? Now wasn't any difference, with mutants being hunted and hated. He changed the ''Arbeit Mach Frei' sign with his powers to have it say ''Mutanten sind die Neues Gotten'' At the age of fifteen he migrated to America, where Magneto had his base of operations. Changing his name to Matthew he started training Training, studying this belief, he took up the mantle of his Father's faith as he died, swearing he would make his wish come true
