Apocalypse World   Taken

The Golden Age had ended. All those who knew about the catastrophe, about that era, had perished.
The Golden Age was nothing more than history. Something that slipped endlessly from the minds of those that now lived.

It was dead, the world. For how long, no one really knew. Maybe sixty years.
Barren. Dry.
Water and food was scarce. Technology hardly existed.

People had evolved to change. Long lost were intimate emotions, but the instinct to survive thrived.
Cold and calloused were people. Savage.
Death was common. Famine was common. Violence was common. Disease was common. It was how they knew life, now.

Shackles of make shift cities dotted the rust coloured horizon.
No one dared to live in the Golden Age cities. Hollowed husks of buildings, all furnished, existed. ...but something plagued those Golden Age cities. Something more than the rumoured cannibals.

Shadows of the dead, some would say. A void that belonged to the dead souls from the Golden Age.
That electrical crisp hum—those that only the Chosen could hear—that hint of whisper from the Golden Age, was tuned to a select few.

Spider was one of the Chosen.
Spider was one of the few who selected to raid the buildings in the Golden Age cities, selling items for particular commodities.

And Spider had an older companion. A friend. A man who dared to accompany her in the cities, and one who dared to protect her from those that wanted to own her.

And there were slavers, but worse than that, there were the corrupt hardholders—those who owned the make shift cities—those who are sworn to protect their citizens, usually.

Spider did not know her hardholder became obsessed with her...and her life, that of her companion's, would forever change.

Notes:
Looking for a partner to write from the perspective of Spider's companion, and who is not afraid of taking control  of existing 'NPCs' or creating new 'NPCs', who can  add zest to the world and plot. One should not be queasy of violence, language, or N/C.

Looking to explore the theme of survival, of what becomes important in life, of difficult choices, of sacrifice, and of a rare relationship that can blossom between close friends/companions.

PM me if interested.
