Well, I would hope not with Darth Vader. That could get awkward fast :P
O/O: I was going to make a barebones F-list as a rough summary, but then it logged me out and I lost my progress, so I made a VERY barebones F-list instead: Here.

lets not forget the one stormtrooper that actually hit Leia! oh and the ones that hit the Rebel welcome party on the blockade runner. OH! and the ones that seems to be SO good at aiming, they torched Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru.
it is debatable howeve rthat as the original trilogy progressed, troopers were getting worse. I guess that's what happens when you cut off the clone supply and enlist the eager hands of the Empire go through the academy.

I think my Mandalorian's name will be...

Kiden Varr.

Still working out her personality and stuff, though.

Okay I'm home! Me and my council are gonna talk, and we'll put something together.

And yes, the lightsaber coming out will be something of a turning point, at least for the jedi. the whole point is that she wants to blend in, she doesn't want to be spotted. by anyone. after all this time, how does she know who she can trust at this point?
The definition of a hero, at least in my mind, is someone who can protect what is right. To change and stop the wrong. To fight against the forces that seek to destroy you. And, at the very least ... live life well, and enjoy it with those you love.

I am interested but will you allow characters with higher power in the chair of command?
Currently looking for a RP? Why not give my Thread a little look see, see if you can't find something you like?

It's set on a ship, and the captain is taken?

From what I gathered, the ship is not a part of any fleet... so... what higher position in the chain of command are you talking about?

... though it would be hilarious if some nutty character insisted that they were an admiral.

In our story, the captain of the ship is the one in charge. This isn't the military, not part of any fleet. Except whatever trading guild there might be. Whoever the captain wants to put in charge he can. Whoever he thinks will run his ship the best, he'll put them in charge. It is his ship, after all.

What needs to be decided... once we have our finalized crew... is just how long everyone's been on board and working for the captain. If any time at all. The Jedi will be the new prospect, just someone looking for a job.

the captain of the ship is taken. Since yall are on his ship anywaythough, a certain levle of respect should eb given him, but they're all generally equals, contributing their skills to teh greater goals of survival in the fugitive from the empire  lifestyle.
the captain is a pilot, and is a wicked gunfighter, we have an undercover jedi, so on the ship someone of a mechanic that likely knows a little more about ship upkeep than the captain does, a medic, a slicer. you know, things that generally meld together in a situation as that.

So... again, sort of like Firefly, basically?

A degree of respect and equality is given to the crew, but the captain makes the decisions and if you disagree, you can get off at the next stop (or sooner, depending on the severity of said disagreement)?

At any rate, as for my Mandalorian; most likely she's be the ship's 'muscle', or as she'd put it, she specializes in the practical application of blaster-usage in diplomatic and security-related functions.

I'm always terrible when I'm asked for a specific height and weight for my character >_> I just have no idea what to put down.

Edit: Btw, for clarification; how brief is brief? xD A paragraph? Two? Three? I don't mean to split hairs or anything, but I feel like if I don't have a more specific guideline, I might wind up getting carried away and writing a short novel xD

Understood.

Another concern though... images... I settled on Arkanian for Kiden's species... which leads to the problem... its really hard to find a picture that would fit an Arkanian.

They tend to have pure white eyes xD

There's quite a few if you use comics or drawings! :)

also might be someone on here that could shop pictures for you too.

Green Goo Theory

I have a small collection of pictures too.  Not all of them might fit for SW but I do have some relatively decent stuff if the search gets narrowed down.

Still working on a character concept too.  My two existing characters don't work here so I have to build something new.  Never used a droid or cyborg before but...eh.

Coming soon...

TheLostCastor

Name: Rashik Vahano

Age: 29 Years old, Ancient by street urchin standards.

Species: Human

Gender: Male

Height: 6’5

Weight: 205lb’s

Abilities: Sharpshooter, Infiltration specialist, Skilled Slicer, Expert level hacking capabilities, Knowledgeable of Underworld workings.

Specialty: Expert Slicer, average skill at personal weapon maintenance.

Equipment:Infiltration suit, masks his heat signature.DX-6 Disruptor Rifle/Blaster. Antiquated, but effective.

BRIEF Biography: Rashik has spent most of his life on the streets of Nar’Shaddaa. He began as a lowly street urchin, stealing chips and slicing difficult hacks for a living…before being picked up by Hanno, the Hutt leader of the Notorious Devano Hutt clan. Under Hanno, he has received extensive training in the art of assassination, his rifle and suit more comfortable than any duster wear…the man is rarely seen without the deadly combo.

Image/Facelaim:   Rashik     In combat gear Rashik

Sample RP:
Shit….should have had a stim before leaving…this is really getting out of hand...

Rashik’s hands quiver on his rifle, edging his barrel millimeters in either direction as he fights to control the tremors. His gloved fingers clench on the trigger, a hairsbreadth from triggering the deadly reaction. The man’s addiction was running its toll…the stimulant high fading as the need for another injection arises.

Focus Rashik…Mind on the mission.

“Two high…Take subsection B into the alpha relay, then reroute to the second elevator. Just so it’s known…we are officially operating the back-up plan.” He whispers into the open air, the transmitter in his beloved xenon infiltration suit filtering the sound before relaying it to his team…all in a millisecond.

The team. He forces his trembling hands to steady, monitoring their progress through the scope of his rifle as they worked their way through the power station. This whole damned operation should have been scrapped long ago…but the captain said the cargo was vital. And that was all Rashik needed.

Come on…three more floors.

The man’s hands cease their quivering as he shifts positions, sliding his knees along the roof top he was currently perched upon. His suit blended perfectly with the rooftop, the cold icy bite of the evening rain penetrated even it…better the rain than the Mandalorian’s bullets. Speaking of the devils…

Blundering fool…

The “Muscle” of their strike team appears to stumble, knocking down a holographic relay perched harmlessly in the corner…the captain’s passenger…the woman, extended her arm as though to catch the falling object despite her distance. But appeared to immediately think better of it. Her hand sliding to her hip once more, as though clutching some invisible weapon…that one was an enigma even to Rashik. He had an awful feeling she was keeping secrets from him…and he hated secrets.

Hell that was all the ship was lately. One big bundle of secrets…one atop the next until they all collapsed on some unwitting crewman.

Rashik visibly shakes his head, blinking once from inside his suit, the hologlass constantly measuring distances, wind speed, and atmospheric pressure to display in front of his eyes. To the inexperienced it would be a disaster…too much moving information. But to a man like Rashik…even one coming down a bad high…they were the tools of the trade. He rapidly finds the now alert Mandalorian guardsman, sights him, then aims towards the ceiling in a seemingly chaotic act of disregard….before squeezing the trigger.
The muzzle of his rifle, Annabelle, flashes red as a beam of scarlet death rockets forth. The Mandalorian barely reaches the door, his heavy blaster raised with the intent of opening fire on Rashik’s team…but as his right gauntlet closes around the durasteel handle, his left flies to his chest, where a now gaping hole was all that remained of his cardiac cavity.

“One down…do try not to wake all of the neighbors Mandalorian.” He snaps icily over the line, the hard edge of withdraws leaking into every tone. “You have two floors to go…keep it tight and we might just get out of here alive...” His voice cuts off as a new danger presents itself, his rifle once more flying into position his finger about to squeeze the trigge-.

“Don’t even think about it…” A deep voice booms on the roof, amplified by the helmet the Mandalorian was wearing. If he hadn’t been forced to fire, they may have never found the intruder perching on the side of the bio-dome. But with his intervention…

“The name is Dalai Ross. You have heard of me. Your head will decorate my wall if you mo-.” His voice turns into a blood gurgle as the prone figure executes a full body spin, utilizing his superior body length to his advantage as he rises, plunging his twin daggers into the warrior’s stomach even as he fires his twin pistols with abandon.

There would be no more stealth. “Over watch compromised! You are on your own Captain.” Rashik snaps over the comms, rapidly preparing his grappler for launch.

WHOOOSHHHHH CLINK!

The hook finds its mark, jerking its owner forward at break neck speeds even as guards swarm the building he had previously occupied.

How do I get in these messes…?

Cassandra LeMay

I've been thinking about this a while and I think I'll bow out (for now). While it would be convenient to revive one of my old characters for this game, it would also be me chasing nostalgia for a character I loved and a game I really enjoyed. That would run the risk of reviving the character just for the revivals sake, and I am not sure if that would be the best basis to enter this game right now.

In so far I will just follow what you guys do with this setting for a while and see if that can stirr up some fresh inspiration in me so I can jump in, should you need a crew replacement at some point.

Have fun, all, and may the Force be with you. :-)
