"New" Button for Posts

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed that the button to view posts one has not viewed yet in a topic will take the person to a previously viewed post on occasion, bt I have noticed it happening a lot. I know the fix is going back and clicking "new" again, but that can get tedious. Is there some way it can be fixed?

I think clearing your cache may help with that.
