@Wolfy - Well, I'll help you if I can, Wolfy, but I'm not sure what you need. From the looks of things, Zaer already completed your sheet, right? If so, then I'm not really sure what else you need. Equipment, maybe? Did you need help writing her story? Or is there something else you're looking for?

@EvilMegaCookie - Your concept was a seductive kunoichi, yes? The kind who entraps shinobi with her body and will? That sounds like Genjusu to me, so, I recommend going Charismatic Hero/Paragon then Genjutsu Master. Sure, there are some manipulative chakra control techniques and ninjutsu, but the vast majority of mental control techniques are Genjutsu. And, since it's Charisma based, it'll help a lot with her social skills as well. An alternative choice for a socially-based, Cha-heavy character would be Squad Captain. It's benefits are all about using the characters Cha-mod to grant benefits to allies, acting as a sort of coordinator for the party, and it offer her some pretty decent battle stats for herself. One of the few classes with a high Reputation progress, and an actual use for it.

As for her bloodline, I'm not entirely sure how it works. A clan that's used to marry off to other clans doesn't sound like it could have much lasting potential, as everyone of value would be married off to other clans (and thus, no longer be part of it). I'd say it would have issues lasting for more than a couple of generations. It might make more sense as a specialized school of techniques, that can theoretically be passed down to any kunoichi who joins them, where it's less about their bloodline and more about a special training that makes it so any child they conceive will more closely resembles the father, genetically speaking. That would have a lot of value as a school for kunoichi, and would explain how it remains for generations. Heck, nearly any clan, could be inclined to have a couple of their kunoichi trained in such a school, or at least make use of their services. We could also throw in some techniques to make pregnancy more likely (or theoretically less likely) and make a pregnancy shorter.

Anyway, system-wise, I'm not sure this warrants a bloodline at all. The system for Naruto d20 really only considers battle prospects, and this clan/bloodline doesn't seem to have any additional benefits to battle. It might be best just to create a unique Occupation for the clan, one that offers cheaper access to said techniques, and leave it out of the Bloodlines business. Even if it is a kekkei genkai, if it doesn't offer you any bonuses with your rolls, then it's really not worth making a template for, so you could just leave it as fluff. For example, the Nara clan might be known for the Shadow-Manipulation jutsu, but it's not a special kekkei genkai, and theoretically anyone could learn to use them. They're just predisposed towards learning them and have developed hijutsu around their specialization.

If you still think you want a bloodline, though, work with Keelan to decide how it will work. Maybe you can do something similar to the Satori bloodline, which is about mind-reading and telekinesis, or create a bloodline based around enhancing Genjutsu that can be transmitted by touch or something. But, I will warn you that bloodlines cost levels, which will hurt early on. Take it from someone who's making a Hyuuga. Starting at level 7 is harsh, considering level 8 is going to be a huge level for Masumi (+1 Wis, Tenketsu Sealing, Enlightened Byakugan, potential access to Divination Whirl and 64-palms, etc). I'm not saying not to do it, though. Bloodlines can offer some really neat benefits, like the ones above. Just saying to consider the costs when deciding whether or not to go with it. If it's not worth giving levels to, then it's probably not worth a bloodline template.

Yeah, basically what Wolfy means teach how d20 Naruto system works. Overall it's similar to d20 DnD but that all techniques cost chakra and if you tap on reserve chakra (which is usually bigger than normal chakra pool) you get tired, exhausted and worst case if reaching zero; into coma couple days.

Also for EvilMegaCookie; I noticed when making the ice user the shinobi adept you can enter early for nice benefits. However there is some sweet talents in charismatic hero which you could pick also. It's more of choice of 'shinobi technique mastery' over 'mastery over social situations'.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I was thinking of it being more of a... alliance of sorts? Fertility is highly desirable in both men and women, especially in bloodlines that desire to be around for long. And I take it by closely resembling the father you mean raising the chances of the child receiving his or her heritage? If so, yeah. That is what I was going for.

I was thinking of a clan that has plenty of social connections due to how out-spread they are.

... I can easily see this getting dark fairly quickly what with all the implications. Gee, sometimes I wish i was better at explaining. Of course, bloodlines aren't the only option. There could be members within the higher ranks like the Daimyo, however far fetched that sounds. :P

The user has complete control over the pheromones, a secreted or excreted chemical factor that triggers a social response in members of the same species, of oneself and others, including releasing pheromones that induce attraction between subjects (or within a subject for oneself), to exuding pheromones strong enough to induce sleep, change emotions and draw crowds.

Pheromones may induce a pleasure, or may put subjects into a state of high suggestibility (either of which is useful for limited mind control). Other uses of these pheromones can be used to mark territory (causing people to feel the compulsion to not go into a certain area), or to leave a pheromone path which others can follow. The user's pheromones may even increase stamina, slightly stimulate the healing process or (used offensively) cause foes to become disoriented, violent or extremely sick.

The power I had in mind for my character. Although not as potent in the beginning as described here. But I guess it'd be potent enough for an artificial boost in charisma. Or to lower it, depending on the situation.

Well, I can imagine a bloodline which specializes specifically for natural body scent to lure victims or make the subjective and weaker willed, or create sort unique scent trails or such. But same could be produced with specific clan unique jutsu (I would go jutsu route all honestly; all those sound genjutsu techniques with perhaps water involved if nothing at all). Genjutsu applies mind tricks (not just illusion or charms; but other stuff also).

Oh my lord sorry about slow responses!  Have been trying to sort things out for the other game I started, for another game that's getting restarted, and keep up with my solo games too...

I see. Well, again, we're around if you need help. Honestly, playing the game isn't too hard. I find creating a character in this system to be the most cumbersome part of the whole process, if just because there's so many numbers to sort out, and Naruto d20 has just so many freaking options to it, that it can be difficult to narrow it down to just a few choices. At least, that tends to be one of my delays. But, as Zaer said, if you're familiar with D&D 3e/3.5e or Modern d20, or most any other d20 system, this basically follows the same paradigm, just with a few extras thrown in. If you're not, we'll do our best to help you out if we can. ^.^

Shinobi Adept is a fine class for most any Ninjutsu or Genjutsu-heavy character. I only didn't mention it because it's more of a supplementary class than anything you'd actually build towards. It doesn't really define what you do, it just helps you do it. Unless you're a Taijutsu specialist, then there are probably other classes to help you do what you do.  ;)

I still don't see how this works too much as a bloodline-driven clan. If your main form of barter and appeal is giving away your members, I can't really say a clan would last that long, unless your clan breeds like crazy, or something (which would also presumably weaken the bloodline, if they aren't selective enough about their partners). Producing children that are genetically similar to their "fathers" is useful for families looking to preserve bloodlines themselves, but if their defining trait is that their genetics aren't passed down as heavily as their partners, then I'm not sure how you could even have a bloodline, as by definition, their traits aren't preserved to the next generation. That's sorta the whole point. Unless that ability can be turned off, or there's a ton of inbreeding, which would cause even more complications.

I think what you're looking at as a clan of seductive manipulators. They are attractive, charismatic, and have trained to perfect the art of keeping one's attention, and naturally, all those qualities make for a good Genjutsu specialist. They have their own set of techniques, and unique ways of training their members, but have no kekkei genkai themselves. One of their techniques involves preserving the genetic material of those they breed with, which is a rare and valuable technique that most clans wouldn't even begin to understand how to do (probably involves a fair amount of sexual training to a degree most clans don't pursue). So, they're valuable to that end, either as breeders to bloodlines who are looking to preserve their genes to the next generation as best as possible, as seductive spies, or to those hoping to steal genetic material from other bloodlines. And, because they play the social game rather well, they've got a good lot in the clan hierarchy at the moment, and possess a lot of connections to powerful types, often using their talents to bed them in order to keep hold of them. They're not powerful in and of themselves, but I bet they have plenty of dirt on those that are.

That's what it sounds like to me. How does that sound to you? Does it not fit your vision?

I'm with Zaer on this one. All that just sounds like genjutsu. Sure, the method might be different than most, but if there can be audio-based genjutsu, and visual-based genjutsu, I don't see why one couldn't have a scent-based genjutsu. For each effect you've listed, there's already a genjutsu that basically reflects that (save perhaps for marking trails, but you could accomplish that with a ninjutsu or chakra control technique, no doubt). But whether it's putting people to sleep (Jukusui no Jutsu), changing emotions (Kankiwamaru no Jutsu), drawing crowds (Zokuyuuin no Jutsu), inducing pleasure (Kyouhaku Warai no Jutsu, or the aforementioned Kankiwamaru no Jutsu), disorienting them (Shitsukentou no Jutsu), sickening them (Shinodoku), mind-control (Shinbuki no Jutsu), putting them in a state of high suggestibility (Zokuyuuin no Jutsu, or Saimin no Jutsu) or even self-buffing (Kouri Saimin no Jutsu), damn near everything you've described is Genjutsu.

My advice, even if you want it to be a blood-line, is to just fluff it, rather than make the effort of a bloodline template. Maybe create your own Occupation, maybe a feat that allow one to turn most genjutsu into a scent-based form, create a few unique techniques that involve breeding or social manipulation or what have you, and you're pretty much set. Just make sure to take the Charismatic Hero/Paragon class, which should give her all kinds of social bonuses, and lead her directly into the Genjutsu Master PrC, and you're good to go.

Umh, how Kyouhaku Warai no Jutsu (which is compelling laugh technique which induces mind breaking horror to trigger it) is pleasure jutsu :P. But then again fluff can be entirely rewritten on that jutsu and rename it something else, like 'orgasmic bliss jutsu' which renders target 1d4+2 rounds to feel a orgasm (not helpless but unable do anything else either) and then following minute they suffer -2 to all d20 rolls because high arousal (counts as if being shaken).

I see. Well, again, we're around if you need help. Honestly, playing the game isn't too hard. I find creating a character in this system to be the most cumbersome part of the whole process, if just because there's so many numbers to sort out, and Naruto d20 has just so many freaking options to it, that it can be difficult to narrow it down to just a few choices. At least, that tends to be one of my delays. But, as Zaer said, if you're familiar with D&D 3e/3.5e or Modern d20, or most any other d20 system, this basically follows the same paradigm, just with a few extras thrown in. If you're not, we'll do our best to help you out if we can. ^.^

Shinobi Adept is a fine class for most any Ninjutsu or Genjutsu-heavy character. I only didn't mention it because it's more of a supplementary class than anything you'd actually build towards. It doesn't really define what you do, it just helps you do it. Unless you're a Taijutsu specialist, then there are probably other classes to help you do what you do.  ;)

I still don't see how this works too much as a bloodline-driven clan. If your main form of barter and appeal is giving away your members, I can't really say a clan would last that long, unless your clan breeds like crazy, or something (which would also presumably weaken the bloodline, if they aren't selective enough about their partners). Producing children that are genetically similar to their "fathers" is useful for families looking to preserve bloodlines themselves, but if their defining trait is that their genetics aren't passed down as heavily as their partners, then I'm not sure how you could even have a bloodline, as by definition, their traits aren't preserved to the next generation. That's sorta the whole point. Unless that ability can be turned off, or there's a ton of inbreeding, which would cause even more complications.

I think what you're looking at as a clan of seductive manipulators. They are attractive, charismatic, and have trained to perfect the art of keeping one's attention, and naturally, all those qualities make for a good Genjutsu specialist. They have their own set of techniques, and unique ways of training their members, but have no kekkei genkai themselves. One of their techniques involves preserving the genetic material of those they breed with, which is a rare and valuable technique that most clans wouldn't even begin to understand how to do (probably involves a fair amount of sexual training to a degree most clans don't pursue). So, they're valuable to that end, either as breeders to bloodlines who are looking to preserve their genes to the next generation as best as possible, as seductive spies, or to those hoping to steal genetic material from other bloodlines. And, because they play the social game rather well, they've got a good lot in the clan hierarchy at the moment, and possess a lot of connections to powerful types, often using their talents to bed them in order to keep hold of them. They're not powerful in and of themselves, but I bet they have plenty of dirt on those that are.

That's what it sounds like to me. How does that sound to you? Does it not fit your vision?

I'm with Zaer on this one. All that just sounds like genjutsu. Sure, the method might be different than most, but if there can be audio-based genjutsu, and visual-based genjutsu, I don't see why one couldn't have a scent-based genjutsu. For each effect you've listed, there's already a genjutsu that basically reflects that (save perhaps for marking trails, but you could accomplish that with a ninjutsu or chakra control technique, no doubt). But whether it's putting people to sleep (Jukusui no Jutsu), changing emotions (Kankiwamaru no Jutsu), drawing crowds (Zokuyuuin no Jutsu), inducing pleasure (Kyouhaku Warai no Jutsu, or the aforementioned Kankiwamaru no Jutsu), disorienting them (Shitsukentou no Jutsu), sickening them (Shinodoku), mind-control (Shinbuki no Jutsu), putting them in a state of high suggestibility (Zokuyuuin no Jutsu, or Saimin no Jutsu) or even self-buffing (Kouri Saimin no Jutsu), damn near everything you've described is Genjutsu.

My advice, even if you want it to be a blood-line, is to just fluff it, rather than make the effort of a bloodline template. Maybe create your own Occupation, maybe a feat that allow one to turn most genjutsu into a scent-based form, create a few unique techniques that involve breeding or social manipulation or what have you, and you're pretty much set. Just make sure to take the Charismatic Hero/Paragon class, which should give her all kinds of social bonuses, and lead her directly into the Genjutsu Master PrC, and you're good to go.

You hit the nail on the head (couldn't think of any good innuendo >.<)! That is precisely what I was aiming for.

And it looks like my character will be a genjutsu-specialist. Perfume and other such things that has to do with smell could easily create effects reminiscent of that pheromone manipulation I pasted. :P

She even has the attributes for it if you ask me. And of course, just focusing on scent would make it difficult for her to work in certain areas like bars or places where a lot of different smells are blended together. Of course, being close to the victi-- I mean... subject in question probably renders that point moot. But it is always nice to have other mediums to use. :P

Have her in a dark-blue kimono with perhaps a flower pattern and that long hair tied up into a ponytail or a bun along with sandals... you have one beautiful lady with some awe-inspiring curves if you ask me. :D Charisma boost: +4 perhaps? Hah!

Alright! I think I have it done! Feel free to have a look! And do bring up any issues that might be a problem. I'll be happy to address them.

Masumi Hyūga

Standing just slightly on the taller side of average for a kunoichi on the cusp of adulthood, Masumi makes for an impressive specimen. Although she posses a slender visage, trim of any excess weight that isn't put to more feminine curves, along with a near porcelain complexion, she moves with the stoic grace of a trained warrior, with hardly any indication of weakness or vulnerability in her posture or stance. Her silky black locks contrast her fair skin, flowing down her figure almost down past her hips if she lets them fall freely, although she often wears her hair in an orderly ponytail if she is expecting activity. She often adorns herself in rather old-fashioned attires, be they flowing kimono or more practical slim-cut robes, favoring white and red trimmings, and rarely adorned in more modern styles unless the situation calls for it. However, despite her traditional dressings, her rather endowed femininity, or her prowess as a shinobi, there is one thing, by far,  that catches almost everyone's attention first about Masumi: her large, white eyes, ever watchful and scrutinizing, uniquely characteristic of her heritage.

The Hyūga clan, reputed to be one of the oldest, most powerful, and the top clan of Konohagakure. At one time, it was rightly said to be the most feared clan of all the shinobi villages. Now, however, that is certainly more in dispute than it had in times previous, with the unexpected revivals of clans once thought lost to future generations. Still, despite the challenge to it's dominance, the clan certainly inspires respect among the Village Hidden in the Leaves, and places far beyond. Even in today's day and age, there are few sights on a shinobi battlefield that inspire dread and caution like a practitioner of Jyūken, the Hyūga's legendary art, colloquially known as the "Gentle Fist", the style that kills one's foes without ever breaking their skin or bone, a style only possible by those who possess their Byakugan, a doujutsu that allows perception so powerful that it can discern the tenketsu points within the body with absolute precision.

That isn't the only thing that makes the Hyūga stand out among the hidden village, however. In a time of rapid technological advancements and multicultural values, where shinobi often adorn themselves in colorful and varied styles, and hold to rather progressive attitudes, the Hyūga still hold firm to the traditions and practices that they have for centuries. To step behind the walls of their territory is almost as if to walk a forgotten era, where nearly every form wears finely stitched kimono, shoin-zukuri architecture liters the landscape, and their personal shrine seems more like a temple than a cabinet in the living room. Wealth is certainly there, in little ways, but to many, if feels as if the clan is reluctant to embrace the changing of the times, staying instead to their massive compounds and past ordinances. Even the smallest changes seem to stir the elder clansmen. Truly, only one so stubborn and universally revered as the legendary Uzumaki Naruto was ever going to have much success in changing their policies, as he rid them of the branding practice that once separated the Main and Branch houses. In fact, there are rumors that it's just a matter of time before they attempt to bring it back.

Despite being a member of the younger generation, Hyūga Masumi is proud of her clan's traditions, and makes it a priority to uphold them. She is a confident, prideful woman, who tends to speak discerningly. She is often gentle of manner and polite, but she also isn't afraid of voicing her displeasure where she finds it, usually in a fairly soft-spoken manner, as she tends to abhor strong language as crude and inelegant. Although not particularly outspoken, she is firm in her resolve when she takes it upon herself to speak, and isn't easily dissuaded from her beliefs. She is insightful and perceptive, both on and off the battlefield, and holds enough social grace to pick up on shifts of behavior or the smallest of innuendos, with or without her Byakugan. In the eyes of many, she appears to be the very definition of the phrase "silk-hiding-steel", a woman with soft graces but a strong will that doesn't hesitate to do what she has to protect what she cares about.

That isn't to say she's perfect, of course. Masumi comes from a side of the clan firmly rooted in older customs, and sometimes has difficulty adjusting to more progressive ways of thought, and sometimes has a sense of pride in her traditions and way of life that some can find a little overbearing, or even haughty and arrogant. Perhaps a tad ironically, she finds loud-mouths and stubborn people annoying, and she doesn't take well to putting off responsibilities to "goof off" or for silly purposes. Although she isn't unfriendly, she doesn't have much experience with dating outside of that which the clan arranges for her, so she doesn't really know how to deal with flirtations or advances being thrown her way (not that it stops her from fantasizing about it in some unrealistic ways). She may often come off as cool, calm, and aloof in most situations, but deep down, she is still a teenage girl, and deals with the same kind of self-scrutiny, doubt, and insecurities that most girls do, even if she tries to deny it. Those that know her best generally know that, if she can be brought to feel safe, they can get her to lay her hair down and be a bit more open with her expressions.

Masumi is a talented shinobi, and showed strong signs of potential even as a fresh-academy graduate. Knowledgeable, hard-working, and wise beyond her years, she did admirably in her exams and made an exceptional comrade on the training grounds. She is sharp of mind, her chakra control was well above average, possesses and unusual degree of chakra strength, and is well-studied enough in ninjutsu to make up for any faults she might have in the subject.  But, as expected, she shines best in the realm of taijutsu, adapting the art of Jyūken as gracefully as anyone who has passed through the examinations in recent years, perhaps as closely as anyone has yet since the days of the late war hero Neji, who was a prodigy of his time unlike any other. There is talk of her being granted training from the Main branch in techniques that were once exclusive to the heirs of the clan, a powerful statement of confidence in her abilities to handle it, if they are indeed true. But, time will only tell if she can master such difficult and dangerous techniques, and she has much to prove still before she might one day have her chance to learn them.

Descriptions

Byakugan (Su): Masumi can activate this ability as an attack action that costs 3
points of Chakra every 2 rounds to maintain. She gains a +2 insight bonus to
Defense and Initiative, High Speed Sight 2, and the ability to constantly See Chakra.
She is also able to see through and thus ignore lighter forms of concealment, such as
smoke or mist. She may concentrate for an attack action while her Byakugan is
active to See Through Chakra for as long as she concentrates (as per technique) and her
Byakugan remains active. Deactivating this ability is a free action.

Keen Sight (Ex): While Masumi's Byakugan remains active, she gains a +2 insight
bonus to Perception checks and Conversation checks made to read others.

Combat Insight (Ex): Masumi gains a +1 insight bonus to Reflex saves and attack
rolls while her Byakugan is active.

Telescopic Eye (Ex): When concentrating to See Through Chakra, Masumi can also
spend a swift action to gain the ability to see through 1 foot of stone or concrete, 1 inch of
metal or up to three feet of wood, plaster walls or dirt for 1 round. She also
suffers a penalty to spot checks only every 50 feet instead of every 10 feet.
While this ability is active, she cannot apply his Dexterity bonus to defense against melee
attacks, and suffers a -4 penalty to melee attack rolls.

Side-note: If you do the calculation, you'll notice that, from level 3 to 4, it jumps up one higher than it should. That's because I accidentally forgot to include the bonus from Genin prior to that, so I added it in then. Their chemistry would be interesting to watch indeed. While I haven't set in stone how Eiko's personality is, I do have in mind of a fun-loving woman with little to no sense of personal space. Unless you explicitly point that out of course, whereas she will try to do her best not to be too close.

... I can't help but think of a beach episode right now. Fanservice FTW! :D As long as it is reasonable of course.

Well, not intentionally, but fan-service quite often isn't intended (at least, not by the character). Those robes of hers are pretty revealing, after all. ;)

Aside that, I wonder if the Hyūga have some interesting ideas about nudity. It's an established fact that the Byakugan can see through people's clothes, meaning they can see everyone naked every time they're active. Naturally, in the heat of battle, it probably doesn't really come into their heads, but they spend plenty of time outside of conflict using it, be it for training, scouting, or what have you. To a certain degree, they have to train themselves not to be distracted by it, and not to make it a big deal. That's not to say that they can't still be bashful about it, or take an interest in seeing someone in particular, and perhaps they're just disciplined strictly not to pay attention to it, but I have to imagine to some that it just makes them a bit unconcerned with the showing of skin in general. Maybe that's why Masumi adopts more revealing set of robes than most of her comrades.

I would also like to think there are things she can be rather silly about. I'd think she'd be a fun drunk, for instance.  :P

Anyway, I could see Masumi and Eiko having fun interactions, even if they're not on the same team. If they are, they'll definitely have a rough relationship going, especially if she's the playful sort. But, even if they're on opposite teams, it could be neat to see them interact with rather odd intensity for short periods of time. Aside from being possibly being the Ms. Fanservice of their respective teams (assuming everyone isn't Ms./Mr. Fanservice in this game), they couldn't really be more different.

Where it's mentioned that byakujan allows see through clothes? If so it can explain why Hinata had strong blushing each time she saw Naruto :P. But I think it would not be public knowlegde that byakujan users can see people naked every time they use their gaze (but it can explain why they can accurately land their strikes despite armor/clothing foe wears with their practiced style). I think there can be definately byakujan who do not mind being nude or wearing less clothes but can be bashful other ways (like compliments or such or actual physical contact with someone).

My char can fit any team and I think a 4 man team or even bit bigger team (like 5 man) could be possible if we include the GMPC in also. Bigger teams = more security (or missions just warrant it). In usual full team what I remember has squad leader, 1 expert for ninjutsu and taijutsu and then medic nin/genjutsu user. So total 4?

What, you think it can penetrate several feet of wood and concrete, walls of steel several inches thick, perfectly pierce through armor, and can see through people's bodies to minutely discern the tenketsu that is normally invisible to the eyes...but half an inch of cloth thwarts them? By all practical intents, it would stand the reason that they could. I suppose the argument is that it's too strong to really appreciate skin, they see muscles, bones, veins and chakra pathways, so it's about as arousing looking at a living cutaway anatomic model would be (though, there are some people who still get aroused by those). Still, I have to imagine that they have some control over how much they penetrate with their sight. After all, having sight that could see through several inches of metal would very much be able to see through someone's entire body.

If you're looking for cannon depictions of this, no, not explicitly. Then again, the Hyuga are pretty dignified people, and even if they could, they probably wouldn't say so or brag about it to any degree. That said, several of the sources imply it can be used this way. Neji was an outright pervert in his Road to Ninja incarnation, and he used it to spy on women in the bath (his own cousin, even, who, amusingly enough, was able to feel it, even through the wall). Granted, that's not their clothes, but if it could see through walls to gaze at them, without seeing through them, enough that a pervert could appreciate it, it stands to reason that that clothes wouldn't be that much of a problem. A similar feat was implied in the Springtime of Youth spin-off, but that's not cannon, I suppose, and Neji denied doing it (although he didn't say it was impossible).

So, it's speculative, but I think it's within reason. Certainly for the purposes of this game, which is presumably going for a more adult bent.

Heh. Well, that could be the source of much of Hinata's blushing, true. But, to give her credit, we've almost never seen her looking at him with her Byakugan activated, so if she does see him naked, it's pretty rare that it actually happens. Without the Byakugan active, their sight isn't much different from anyone elses. Then again, with 359 degree vision, she never has to be actually looking at him...  ::)

Well, balance is a good idea, but I don't think it's absolutely necessary. Naruto d20 is much more flexible than most the other d20 variants out there, because anyone could potentially have any technique (with few limitations). As long as you have at least one person who can engage toe-to-toe with threats, really any combination works fine. It doesn't necessarily have to be a taijutsu specialist, as puppets or summoning could work for a ninjutsu-focused team. Might I remind you that Team Gai had nothing but taijutsu specialists, and they were awesome!

I don't really have any preference, myself, and I think Masumi will work fine with any of the characters submitted thusfar. It's really up to whatever Keelan wants to do, be it two different groups or one large group (although even in the latter, we could still split up as the situation calls for it).

Vex can explain the mechanics of technique use, chakra and so on while I can grind actual sheet tomorrow. I use the stat attribution you used and go from there. I myself think (after quick view) either go; (A) Charismatic Hero 3/Shinobi Adept 3/Genjutsu Master 2 or  (B) Charismatic Hero 6/Genjutsu Master 2. I explain briefly the differences.

A= Has more focus on actual genjutsu techniques exclusively (pick genjutsu boosting talents from charismatic hero) and shinobi adept makes you also good at ninjutsu (which is good backup skill if genjutsu fails) and has quite bit more chakra (as every prestige or sub-class gives additional chakra and chakra reserve). Genjutsu master is good prestige class for any devoted genjutsu user and it has plenty of means to enchance them.

B= I would focus more on charismatic hero talent abilities here which can be very useful. I would focus to Charm tree to get ability to charm (both male and females) with getting bonus to all charisma skills equal your charismatic hero levels and also call in favors (like noble does in some other games). There is also captivate ability which can be useful even in combat (but your using genjutsu to do that so I thought instead take the ability charm women as well as the first talent affects one gender but affects both genders if taken twice). No Shinobi Adept so less focus on genjutsu (more skill based) and more focus on actual skill use. Still can qualify for genjutsu master either case in 6th level as charismatic hero (I found actual levels as charismatic hero more useful for this build as it affects on competence bonus and bonus how well you roll in favors).
