Muse

Over a millenia ago, Evelyn Nightrazor was a young woman, the princess of a the elven nation of Three Cataracts. Her father, Arnavran, wielded the moonblade Nightrazor, an artifact longsword blessed by the elven gods to choose the best king or queen for Three Cataracts and lend them great power with which to defend their land.

When repeated drow invasions at last sent the people of Three Cataracts fleeing through the ancient gates, Arnavran stayed behind. Evelyn's last view of her father was of him dancing between three drow weapon masters and the coils of a snake whip, singing a war hymn as he bought with his blood the time for his people to flee to safety.

For over a thousand years, Evelyn has sought sign of what became of Night Razor.

For a century, she has groomed her grandchild to leave the sanctuary of Evermeet, seek out Night Razor, and use it's power to make a new home for their people on the continent of Faerun.

And so here you are, honed by an almost obsessive woman into the perfect candidate to reclaim your birthright. With just a few powerful friends, you prepare to leave the idyllic isle that was the only home you ever knew, on a quest for a mighty sword that has been lost for a thousand years...

And if the sword does not think you are worthy when you find it? It will strike you down with lighting rather than allow an unworthy one to wield the sword of the king!

Elves of the Forgotten Realms:

Moon Elves

The best known elves of Faerun are moon elves.  They are shorter and more slender than humans, with cloudy fair or pale blue skin.  Their hair is often blue, black, or silver.  With silver or golden flecks in their dark eyes, looking into them is like looking into a starlit night.

Moon elves are the elves best known by other peoples of Faerun.  They enjoy traveling the world, seeing new lands, meeting diferent people, and testing thier skills in diferent situations.  Mortals--especialy humans--have a certain romantic and erotic alure to moon elves.  With their hot burning passions and mayfly-short lives, moon elves often find humans iresistable.

Sun Elves

Taller and more slender than the moon elves, sun elves (or gold elves) are somewhat fragile, but devistatingly inteligent.  Sun elves have pale golden skin and hair of blond, red or black.  Their eyes resemble emerlads or saphires.

Most sun elf families belong to a sort of noble class.  They have families of servants suporting them.  They have vast libraries of mundane and arcane lore.  They uphold the elven way by sword and spell, and with engineering and artistanry.  Most of them are quite arogant, and those that aren't still have a certain aloof bearing that can be off putting to mortals.

There's no need to play an elf to participate in this game.  Evenlyn Nightrazor has cultivated friendships and buisness relationships with a variety of families in the mortal world for centuries.  A human, dwarf, elf, gnome, or possibliy even something exotic could join the quest out of friendship or family obligation.

I'll be running this game on the NC Exotic System board, but no one will get into any erotic situations that don't interest them.  This is first and foremost a story of action and adventure that will take us across the face of Faerun, from the haunted forests of Coarmanthor to the steamy jungles of Chult.

Being Literate is the ability to read and understand a language. When you ask for literate, what you are looking for is Verbosity, which is the ability to use lots of words without actually saying very much... like politicians. I consider myself both literate and verbose.

I on the other hand have never played AD&D but would be quite interested in trying it out.

Brings back memories... is this going to be a full system game? What level, what sources? And most importantly... can I play a half-elven Bard/Sword Dancer of Eilistraee?  ;)

Tempted, I love AD&D, but I'm already in 3 of your games.

I'd love it if you would, Blinkin.

I love teaching this system--and it's awesome settings--to people.

I'll have to think about this, I know that the most common classes that I see are pscionicist and blade singers... so, those will be out.

At long last will I have the chance to create this character! I will need some help (and more information) though as it's been ages since the last time I read anything about AD&D...

Muse

Attributes:
4 dice, 6 sides.  Re-roll ones.  Take the best 3.
Generate 9 stats.  Take the best 5 and the worst one.
If you don't have an 18, turn the second highest into an 18.

If you still can't play what you want, boost your stats to the minimum to qualify for class and kit without dump starting charisma.

   Begin play with maximum gold.

Maximum hit points at first level for major characters (like the player characters.)

Beginning play under the affects of an armor spell costs 20 gold, + 2 per level of the wizard you acquired it from.

What else...

Bonus proficiencies from intelligence may go to languages, weapon, or non-weapon proficiencies.

Sworrdancers may learn: Ambidexterity, Style Specialization: 2 Weapon Fighting and Style Specialization: Targeting weapon proficiencies.

House rule: Firing into the melee.  According to rules as written, firing into the melee causes your target to be randomly rolled.  IN my games, this is not the case.  Firing into the melee is a 4 point penalty on your attack roll, reduced by one for every size category your target is different from your allies.  Style Specialization: Targeting reduces this penalty by 2 every time it is taken.

Please permit me to participate in the character creation process.  I'd love to offer as much help as you're willing to accept.  If you don't need any, I'd still like to coordinate the group.

You can reach me here, in a private message, or in Skype text (as Khadavla), in Yahoo (as TenshiMuse42) or in AIM as TenshiMuse.

Level and starting gold? Or, is this one of those rare 1st level things?

Well, it would be good to have a ranger.  If you want it to be teh "Same" ranger, well, so long as you don't midn that she's starting all over.

May I suggest we use subabilities from Player's Option? They give slightly more control over the character and they also make the system slightly more forgiving for spellcasters (what with Wisdom and Intelligence 18 needed to cast all priest and wizard spells respectively). Plus, it's got an Appearance score :D

*smiles*   nah.  I'm already being really generous with ability scores.

Everyone who's expressed interest so far is welcome.  I'll take one more application, but only for an evermeet elf, please.

Past that, I'm sure there'll be turn over, so if you' speak up I'll put you on the waiting list.
