Xandria

Surrounded by nature's beauty we wander

Such simple pleasures can be found, if one but stops to admire
The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. Resist it, and your soul grows sick with longing for the things it has forbidden to itself. -Oscar Wilde

Charm is a way of getting the answer yes without having asked any clear question. - Albert Camus

Mordred

But first, I gotta grab some water, my bloody foot's on fire!

The details in the daily grind, quite gorgeous zoomed up close

Anesa

Leaning into a mirror, is that a freckle on my nose?

Look outside the window, this day is fading much too fast

Rain falls in the realm I dwell, at the moment.. overcast.

Sadly, though, the air is thick.. a bit too humid for my taste

Geil

It's been raining cats and dogs here too, umbrellas folding out in haste,

But at least all this precipitation means I won't water the garden

Pumpkins growing two by two, turn orange before the ground does harden

A trick or treat, I know not which, too soon shall knock upon my door

With Autumn leaves of brilliant color, strewn across the earthen floor

In a worry of haste, to my closet I'll chase to find my warmest wool sweater

Mordred

Just please, I implore you.. Don't ask which one I like better?

If so, I gotta warn... I may just have to pull lots of threads

On my puppet theatre coming alive, knights and dragons craning their heads.

A princess leashed to a rocky wall, in anguish following the fighting

Good girl but bad  -- Proud sister of the amazing, blackberry-sweet Violet Girl

Sometimes bound and cuntrolled, sometimes free and easy

"I'm a pretty good cook, I'm sitting on my groceries.
Come up to my kitchen, I'll show you my best recipes"

Vulnerable

The clash of metal, the grating of scales all ensued by...lightning!

Oh dear me, I have drifted to sleep, time to put pots under all that leaking!
"To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken."

Geil

Trying to prevent the damp from spreading further whilst still freaking

Out, reacting to the quoted costs of reroofing the house.

In the attic two by two, the kittens watch a mouse

Twitching tails and whiskers, then one, two, three and pounce!

A funny sight, I had to laugh, when on their ears they bounced

A quick escape through a hole that gaped, they scrambled across the floor

Mordred

Sliding low, so very low, they barely fit beneath the door.

Outside with all protection gone, a rabid canine licks it's chops

Anesa

"Quick", one cried, "Dial 9-1-1, and call the "Animal Cops"

No bars were found, the cell was dead, their fate it seemed quite bleak

Mordred

Wait! For up above so high, a cape flowed behind a giant beak!

Upon it's wings the felines climbed.. each saved from losing one of nine

Geil

Off they soared, transported over snow-veiled woods of pine

Into the hills, safe from the dog, but, oh, so far from home.

Where meadows sprawl and creatures roam,

These prancing kitties march in rows, a piper plays a tune.

Until they reach and quickly board a huge hot air balloon

Up up and away, their paws go flying, another daring escape

But then the wind blows out to sea. They're in a whole new scrape.

The fire burns out, the cats descend. What are they going to do?

Leaping, landing, graceful exit, judges give a ten less two,

Transforming as their feet touch down, this pride of dashing lions roars.

Staking territorial claim upon these unknown distant shores.

The beasts here resident awake in fury from their nightmare slumbers

Yawning, stretching, from a cozy bed, the runt of the beasts slowly lumbers

Staring into a frightful reflection, the not-so-scary creature yawns

Ephemera

As the twin in the glass starts to mimic, the creature's chagrin slowly dawns.

The pen on the page is a vein cut, the ink spilling out is fresh blood.

I, with a deeper instinct, choose a man who compels my strength, who makes enormous demands on me, who does not doubt my courage or my toughness, who does not believe me naive or innocent, who has the courage to treat me like a woman.” ~Nin  Working on: Ink Blood Spilled
