Spira.... It's a land that has been through much... In the events of 10 a summoner rose named Yuna and with enemies in every corner, she defeated Sin for good and brought forth the Eternal Calm. Life went on until the events of 10-2 and Yuna had to rise once again to defeat Vegnagun and Shuyin bringing what some call peace back to the land. Though for those that are extremely pessimistic believed that it couldn't last and boy were they right.

Reports started coming from around Spira about strange new places appearing in the land and people appearing along with the places. The first being the Golden Saucer appearing near the Calm Lands, other places have appeared as well. As things have gone on the people intermingle forming new friendships while the why has never been answered. The driving force of the change has not been found, but they are ignored. Then new developments have started to form in out of the way villiages being destroyed by an unknown force. The land has also started a change by taking those lost and forming new Fayth and bringing the Aeons back to Spira.

Out of the gathered people some old hero's and others new... They must start down the path to discover what is happening and stop it. The summoners must take up arms again...

This RP combines the various worlds together and people... Characters can either be original or stable characters of any Final Fantasy world although not all places will be included in the RP. I was thinking about adding Cosmo Canyon and Balamb Garden, any other idea's will be considered as well...

Vladimir valentine

I like this idea, (personally I love final fantasy 10 and 10-2) I wouldn't mind playing either rikku or an original character.

Sasquatch421

No problems there, I'll get a character sheet drawn up for original characters shortly while we wait for others...

Sasquatch421

Ok, here is the character sheet... You can use it with both original and stable FF characters.

Name:
Sex:
Age:
World: This is just which Final Fantasy and town they are from... Original characters are also from a FF and some town with in their world.
Class:Mainly for original characters... If the FF let you know the class.. Summoner, Theif, Black Mage etc. I know it's more difficult for FF7 since any character could do anything.
Limit Break: For characters that have overdrives etc...Just change out the words...
Personality:
Background:

Marie Reynolds

So I am  interested and wanted to bring someone in from Ivalice would i subsitute Limit break  for Job class?

Sasquatch421

Job class would go under regular class. If I'm remembering right Ivalice was 12 and Tactics. 12 had Mist Quickenings that would take the place of a Limit Break, I don't remember if Tactics had something like a Limit Break...

Marie Reynolds

I was going more from Tactics so no limit breaks just abilities what your class gave you.

Sasquatch421

Ok then just take out the limit break line, or if you want to be different, you can create your own. Like say your characters time with the others causes him to develop one for himself.

I was wondering, since in ffx 10-2 yuna rikku and pain could change class would I simply apply a level to each class she would use or do I simply just pick one?

Sasquatch421

I'm going to say, if you're picking certain jobs then you can apply certain levels to them. Since the events of X-2 they would have kept some of the strength they ended with. That would go with all characters. Since this is more freeform, levels won't be a huge part of the game since I'm not good with system games.

Fallenpaladin7

I would really be interested in joining this. I LOVE final fantasy.

Have people from Cocoon (FF 13) shown up yet? If so I'd be interested in playing a Guardian Corps trooper packing a gunblade. If not I guess a SEED gunblade specialist fromFF 8 would be fine.

Yeah, I'm a gunblade fanboy - they're the coolest melee weapons since lightsabres, and we all know it...

Niki315

I'd be interested.  I guess I'll keep an eye on this and see what sort of characters we have and I'll probably make one early next week.

Lightshock16

Definitely interested. I'll keep my eye on this.

Nope, no one from Cocoon yet... I'm glad to see interest in my game... I'll get a character up tomarrow or this week end, since I have to be up to get ready for work at 5:30 in the morning....

Edit: I forgot to put appearance in the character sheet, just toss it in after the overdrive...

Chaeronea

Actually, looking over the FF13 characters, it might be more fun to play Snow Villiers than a gunblade OC. We'll probably need some defensive-type characters anyway rather than everyone going for the attack types. Anyone have any objections to me playing Snow?

Sasquatch421

Name: Li Seran
Sex: Male
Age: 19
World: The Isle of the Fayth/Spira
Class: Summoner type with some fighting and magic
Overdrive: Grand Summon
Appearance:
Weapon
Personality: Once Li has a goal he will stop at nothing to achieve it, even if it means going through allies or enemies. Until one gets to know him he can come off as cold as he is unused to interacting with new people.
Background: There has always been a rumor among the some of the places in Spira about an island. This rumor had never been proved since it was impossible to find by normal means. In reality this was because one had to be summoned to the island by the Fayth or born there among the people. Very few have ever left the Isle of the Fayth due to the fact that if they leave they are deemed tainted by the outside world and can never return. The people of the island are special because of their connection with the Fayth and when they come of age they are bound with a Fayth that chooses them. This allows them to shift into a chosen Aeon instead of a straight forward summon, this connection also makes them a natural at certain spell castings.

Li himself was raised by his father as his mom died at his birth and through his childhood was taught differently then others so instead of focusing on pure magic and eventual summonings, he can use his fathers old naginata. When he came of age he was chosen by the Fayth named Lucia who was then bound to him. This binding was the only thing that kept Lucia in Spira when Yuna defeated Yu Yevon and brought forth the Eternal Calm. He had never discovered his original summon due to having no need to use it and time went on.

Now though with the occurrences happening in Spira a great fiend attacked the island and Li himself went to stop it. During the battle he shifted and to his surprise became something not ever seen in Spira before. While he had defeated the fiend Li faced exile for becoming tainted as the clan elder called it. That night Lucia convinced Li to leave the island and find out what was going on to the land.

(figured better make a small sheet for Lucia as well... I'll allow multiple characters, possibly 2 or 3)

Name: Lucia
Sex: Female
Age: unknown
World: Isle of the Fayth/ Spira
Class: Fayth
Over Drive: Grand Summon with Li
Appearance:
Animal form
Personality: Lucia is the opposite of Li.. She is fun loving and enjoys meeting new people. Usually while apologizing for something Li said, she also loves to explore.
Background: Lucia is Li's fayth bonded to him when he came of age. She really doesn't speak of herself, although when travelling she likes to take the form of a white fox... If not walking beside him Lucia can usually be found curled about his shoulders or in his lap if resting. Lucia also will take the form if there are chances that she will be found out to be a fayth.

Keelan

So... from what FFs can we draw again?  I've seen 10/10-2, Tactics, mentions of 7 and 8... any others?  I'm disappointed at no 13/13-2, much as I appreciate Fang, but I'll live.  Was most likely going to go with a female canon character in all honesty, just want to know what I can draw from

Teranis

I am interested, a bit late at night but I'll get a sheet created. She'll be original so it might take me a day or two to settle on a final sheet.

Sasquatch421

You can draw from any of the Final Fantasy games, so you can do characters from 13 and 13-2.  Town wise isn't set in stone so it could be likely that there could be some characters in the world with no place there that's familiar to them. Cosmo Canyon will be by Besaid, The Golden Saucer and Balamb Garden will be in the calm lands unless I can think of an alternate place to put the Golden Saucer... Maybe by Luca? Since airships are not big in Spira, Cocoon would be harder to fit in.

BlackestKnight

#22
Name: Morien Morningstar
Sex: Male
Age: 16
World: Final Fantasy VI, Zozo
Class: Onion Knight
Limit Break: Breaker Blade - deals damage and halves enemies attack power.
Weapon
Personality: On the surface he may appear no different than any kid, though Morien is quite a masterful actor and can use this to his advantage when delivering his craft to an unsuspecting mark. In truth, Morien is quite observant, advanced beyond his age, jaded if not on the cynical scale of thinking. He sees the world in terms of haves and have nots, those without power set themselves up to be abused by those who have it. On the other hand, when he was still a child  of means, he idealized the virtues of a knighthood and saw himself  becoming that someday. His personality best explained is that stuck between a knight and a rogue. He's a sort of chivalrous rogue if there is such a thing.

Background:Morien is the illegitimate son born from a wealthy nobleman and one of his servants. Morien's biological father found that his wife would not bear him  child and so he decided to allow Morien and his mother, the maid to live with him in his estate in Jidoor, thus he lived as a noble and heir for a brief portion of his childhood. However, While Morien was still young, his father eventually did manage to have a legitimate heir with his wife. His step-mother along with his father's family never too fond at the thought of having Morien or his mother around, managed to convince the Lord to throw the maid and her son out, denouncing both from all titles and inheritances. Without money or a place to stay, Morien and his mother relocated to Zozo, the city of thieves. Soon after, his mother fell into poor health and passed from a mysterious illness leaving him prey to the streets. It was this more than anything else in his life that shaped his distrust and dislike of the nobility

Subsequently,  he was taken in and groomed by a man by the name of Father Cornelius who ran a children's thief guild -- under the facade of a church. Here he's learned all sorts of ways to part a fool from their money. Using his charm, wit and other talents to thrive in a hostile world.

For much of his life he's had to hustle, sometimes taking on illegal professions to provide for himself after his mother soon passed, which one might imagine is a particularly bitter pill for anyone in similar circumstances to swallow. Though for the most part, he's managed to pull it  together, using his experiences as motivations.

Sasquatch421

Looks good Blackest Knight, I'm still trying to decide on where to put the RP. As soon as I figure that out I'll toss up a Character and OOC thread... Probably go with one of the Exotics so people could be free to pick a Ronso type character or take the reigns of Nanaki...

Ok here is my Original character for this

Name: Nicodemus
Sex:Male Hume (human)
Age:17
Appearence in armor
Appearence out of armor
Nicodemus stats 6' tall and weighs in at 185lbs
World: Federation of Windurst, Vana'diel
Class: Main Job warrior Dark Knight  Sub Job warrior. (if Subjob not allowed im fine with simply being a Dark knight.)
Limit Break: Great sword Weapon skills.  http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Weapon_Skill  (here is a list of all the skills he can only use the greatsword ones.)
Personality:  Nicodemus is Fiercely loyal to his friends and a terror to those who are his enemies.  Usually He is relatively jovial outside of battle. Nicodemus is a master tactician on the battle field and tends to try to think of most problems in a battlefield manner.
Background:  Born and raised in the Federation of Windurst.  Nicodemus's parents originally hailed from bastok.  His family left before the Crystal war due to pirate competition for the ores his mother needed.  They left for Windurst to restart the blacksmith.  His father was a Soldier, so he joined the windurst army while he trained Nicodemus.  Nicodemus had a normal childhood. Once the Crystal war broke out his father was called away on  war missions to defeat the beastmen.  The star sybil thought it would be easy to defeat the Yagudo.  For one of the few times the Star Sybil was wrong.  The outpost that Nicodemus's father was stationed at was quickly overrun and the soldiers killed.  The news of his fathers death nearly overwhelmed his mother. Nicodemus was 15 at this time.  Nicodemus tried to calm his mother down but it didnt work. She fell into a deep depression and closed her blacksmith.  Unable to  deal with his mothers depression and his own grief, Nicodemus sought out a galka named Zied to help train him to use these emotions in battle.  After a year of training under Zied, Nicodemus returned in the armor of a dark knight.  He had finally returned to his happy self outside of battle.  The change in her sons personality was just the boost she needed and Nicodemus's mother reopened the blacksmith shop.

Sasquatch421

I like him Fallen... I've still been thinking on a home for the rp. Would anybody be opposed if I put it in the Extreme small groups? My thoughts being if someone came a used Nanaki for a character they would be stuck with a character that couldn't take anything past friendship if they wanted to. Otherwise I was thinking NC exotic...

Sasquatch421

Anyone still interested in this? If so I'll put something up in NC Exotic when I get home from work today...

MaiMizzu

I think I could be interested in this. But I'm not 100% sure as to what character. I mean I love the summoners, but that's taken obviously. So maybe a ranger or thief? Or red mage.. always loved red mage.
The definition of a hero, at least in my mind, is someone who can protect what is right. To change and stop the wrong. To fight against the forces that seek to destroy you. And, at the very least ... live life well, and enjoy it with those you love.

Chaeronea

I'd be interested in playing too. I'm looking at playing Snow Villiers from FF 13. Is that okay?

Snow would be fine, I loved his character in the FF13's... Although I did love the funny answer that Serah did when asked about Snow. Oh he just this totally cool guy!

There can always be more then one summoner, but whatever you see fit.

MaiMizzu

If you have no issue then, id love to play a summomer. Like a healing summoner. Mine would be a different kind of class and sll. We'd have to coordinate what summons I use, so I don't use the same ones as you. I love the summoning class from ffxi, if that gives you an indication

I can swing that, I've never played XI so I don't know much... Other then his first Aeon change, Li will only have access to the Spira styled Aeons. Not all of them we can work that out as needed.

I was thinking about it, and I might expand the summons a little. If I remember, there's 6 or 7 of them I was going to use from FFXI. And by the way, I've played FFXI for years. So I know a bit about them. But I may not wanna just limit myself to the ones in FFXI. Maybe I'll borrow some from other games? I'm not sure.

I've got some interest in this... Could we add the FF1 world into this? I kinda want to play the canon Red Mage, since it allows me to make whatever kind of character I like, while still having them be relevant in the plot.

What do you think?
If you're reading my RPs from the outside and like my writing, feel free to drop me a line! I'm always looking for new, fun partners. :D

It's entirely possible, with the various place appearing on Spira brings things together. You could have people from Cocoon using Materia, others from Spira learning how to use GF's....

FF1's Red Mage can be in it, he might not have a place from FF1 on Spira though. The land only has so much room, so not a lot of places could fit in. Same way with Cocoon, while Snow will be a character, there would need to be room for Coccon and the means to get there.

SargentToughie

She, not he. ;)

I don't mind if she doesn't have a place on Spira though, as long as I'm allowed some freedom with her character and how she enters the fray even though her world isn't involved in the way things developed.

I'll get started on a character sheet ASAP.

Chaeronea

Name: Snow Villiers
Sex: male
Age: 23
World: New Bodhum, Pulse (post Final Fantasy XIII).
Class: Sentinel (defender) - primary.
Commando (physical attacker), Ravager* (attack mage) - secondary.
Medic (healer), Synergist (buffer), Saboteur (debuffer) - minor
* In FF XIII the Ravager class can use attack magic of any element, however Snow can only use Blizzard and Aero spells
Limit Break / Exclusive Skill: - Sovereign Fist (does extreme damage to one target and half as much to surrounding targets)
Summoned Eidolon - Shiva Sisters

Personality: Snow is flamboyant, hot-headed and emotional, with a firm belief that the strong should protect the weak. He's impulsive and usually cheerful, but can be straightforward and blunt with little respect for authority figures (possible the result of growing up in a Sanctum orphanage). He's not the smartest person around but he's no idiot. In combat he is almost fearless, using his prodigious strength and l'Cie abilities in battle and thinking little of blocking attacks targeted at other with his own body.
Appearance: Snow stands two metres tall with broad shoulders and a heavily muscled build. White-blond hair flows to his shouders but is mostly covered by a black bandanna. His skin is tanned, his eyes are pale blue and stubble decorates his jawline. His facial features are broad and genial, and he often has a jaunty smile. He wears grey cargo pants, black work boots, a light blue shirt that is open to mid-chest, and a tan trenchcoat which incorporates AMP (Antimatter Manipulation Principle) technology to enhance his strength and toughness.

I haven't completed Snow's background yet, but I was thinking of having it after the events of FF XIII and the fall of Cocoon. Maybe instead of Vanille and Fang sacrificing themselves to create the pillar to hold up Cocoon, it was Lightning and Serah who made the sacrifice, which is the reason that Snow is wandering Spira rather than staying at home with Serah and creating that big family he said he wanted :) Does that sound like it could work, Sasquatch?

Sasquatch421

Sure that would work, things might need to be changed around if someone wants to play Lightning or Serah. Though that will come later, since there is such a rich cast to chose from if one goes canon...

MaiMizzu

Name: River Vaasha
Sex: Female
Age: 29
World: Vana’diel. Born in San d'Oria, raised in Windurst.
Class:Summoner/White Mage. Her main discipline is the summoning arts, which she has nearly mastered in her own world. She has a stable of both Terrestial and Celestial Avatars, as well as pacts with the elementals of her world. She is also trained in the healing arts, or White Magic. Her White Magic isn’t nearly as strong as her summoning ability.
Limit Break: Every few hours she is able to perform what is called an ‘Astral Flow’. With it, her summoned partners are at the peak of their power and can perform devastating attacks or feats. However this can only be performed approximately every 6 hours, and River is exhausted after the feat. To the point she has to rest in order to perform spells again.
Personality: River always tries to seem like she’s carefree and nothing bothers her. But that’s not exactly the truth. She is very insecure about most things in her life, about things she has done. From a young age it was obvious she was gifted in magic, and being raised in the Federation of Windurst made that even more obvious. She is fiercely loyal to her friends, and sometimes can be quite outspoken. Even when it’s inappropriate to do so. Praise from others is something she’s always seeking, as a validation of the work she has put into whatever project she is on at the moment. She is very intelligent, but tries not to show that off to much. She feels it can sometimes make her stand out to much.
Background: River was born in San d'Oria, something that is not exactly commonplace for her people. To be born outside of Khazam is considered unusual for Mithra. So from the start it was obvious she was a special little one. As she grew up, it was obvious she had a penitent for magic. At that time, it wasn’t so obvious exactly what discipline would be best for her. So she was sent to Windurst and taken in under the care of a family of Taru there. The Taru were friends of her mother. Since she was in Windurst, she had access to much many more resources in regards to magic. At a young age she started to show real talent in the healing arts, and to most of her teachers it was obvious she would grow into the role of the White Mage. This all changed when she first learned of the forbidden magics known simply as Summoning. She happened upon a small blood red ruby, and to her it almost felt alive. She carried it with her wherever her training took her, and soon the ruby actually came to life. The ruby was the resting place of the Terrestrial Avatar known as Carbuncle, and River had freed him. He quickly became her partner, and he convinced her to seek out the other Avatars resting within the world of Vana’diel. Against her teachers’ wishes, she sought them all out.
Years passed and she became a talented Summoner, her ability surpassing most that had come before her in recent years. But she had still not obtained all of the Avatars, and so her training continues.

The definition of a hero, at least in my mind, is someone who can protect what is right. To change and stop the wrong. To fight against the forces that seek to destroy you. And, at the very least ... live life well, and enjoy it with those you love.

Chaeronea

Almost finished Snow's background. Once that's done I'll post him on the character thread - should be in the next day or so.

Sasquatch421

Ok, I'll work on getting the IC thread up....
