Devil

Hi. I've been absent from E for a spell and I'm feeling some of the old, familiar stirrings of my poor, battered and neglected muse trying to fan the flames of creativity once more. I have a few ideas for a plot and a few character ideas in mind as well. If you don't mind helping an out-of-practice writer ease back into the swing of things and knock the rust off this keyboard, I would appreciate your interest, your creativity, and your patience.

I don't have to much present right now, but I'm feeling like an original D&D story with original characters but in an established setting, Faerun. I'm not necessarily looking for romance, but story driven drama, action suspense...  all that. If your character and mine happen to be drawn to one another and something DOES turn romantic, that's fine. I just don't want the story to be BASED on that. I'm perfectly fine if there is plenty of plot and story and zero romance.

Hit me up if you're interested.

Devil

I'd like to add a little something more to this. I have three character concepts in mind at the moment that I'd like to explore.

1.) The first one being a female Ronin from the island nation of Wa, Kara-Tur. She was an Onna-Bugeisha who is now without a master, without a home and without a country. She finds herself in Faerun now, on the run from her pursuers from Wa, Kara-Tur.

For those of you who may not know, Kara-Tur is a continent, like Faerun, found on the planet Abeir-Toril that was created to depict the Asian nations here on earth. Wa is based strongly on the Japanese culture.

Taken from a google search, this is how it is described:

Quote"In the Dungeons & Dragons setting of Kara-Tur, "Wa" is based on the feudal period of Japan, specifically drawing inspiration from the Edo and Kamakura eras, representing a time of samurai culture and hierarchical society.

Key points about Wa:
  • Analog to Japan:
Wa is essentially a fictionalized version of Japan within the Kara-Tur setting.
  • Time Period:
Primarily modeled after the Edo period (Tokugawa Shogunate) with elements from the Kamakura period.
  • Cultural Features:
Expect to see elements like samurai warriors, traditional Japanese clothing, and feudal societal structures in the "Wa" region."
I'm very intrigued to explore this idea and this character concept, however I must admit I am lacking in knowledge of the Japanese culture ... of any period. I am researching now to try to better familiarize myself with the setting and culture, but there is a LOT to absorb.

2.) The second character concept I have is a half-orc, half Reghedmen Barbarian who has been orphaned, raised by an outcast Barbarian was was his uncle. After being raised by the barbarian, the half-orc sets out on his own after his uncle is slain by a <insert ferocious and deadly beast from the Reghedman Glacier and Sea of Moving Ice region>. He finds his new home in a much warmer climate where he lives in relative peace and solitude until <insert event that draws him into the story>. He is more of druid/barbarian... maybe more like a Beast Master type. He has a black lion companion that he saved as a cub and his uncle's trusty and faithful horse.

3.) The third character concept I have has probably been overdone by now, but I've never played a drow. She will be a drow who's house was defeated by a rival drow house and she was slated to be transformed into a drider. However, when a war-party of Duergar or perhaps Svirfneblin, or Deep Gnomes launch an attack on the drow city and she uses the chaos to make her escape to the World Above.

If any of this interests you, please send me a PM or reply here and we can discuss further.
