The circus has always been a mystical, magical thing. Always traveling, never in one place long enough to actually settle down. This plot would take place in an era when freak shows were part of the regular circus, and not considered illegal anymore. The entire circus (tentatively named the Stardust Circus), is run by a clown. He acts on behalf of a ringmaster who only comes out of his decadent trailer for showtime, making sure that all of the performers are 'playing nice'...or at least not damaging each other enough to make the show suffer. Violence is usual, sex is everywhere, and everyone wants to stay on the clown's good side. There are plenty of directions that this could go in.

There are multiple character slots that could be filled here, and you can feel free to suggest a character that you'd like to play if it's not listed below. Both homosexual and heterosexual characters are welcome (as well as bisexual ones). I've included some slots that could hopefully be filled:

-Clown, [Jack]; he runs the circus and runs it with a tight hand. Often cited as a sadist, he has no qualms about taking what he wants from the performers and show handlers who run the set-up of tents and animal care. He is known for having a tendency to keep a very close eye on the performers he finds attractive. [taken, PeacethatPowerbrings.]

-Ringmaster [name of choice]: Nothing is known about him. He shares joint ownership, or so it seems, with the clown. He shows up mostly for the opening of shows but is known to have taken lovers from his cast of workers. [Taken, Saku.]

-Gloom: A young man who was smuggled from the 'Orient', whereupon he joined the circus. Both an impressive acrobat and a talented singer, he plays upon multiple Asian cultures, including Korean, Japanese, and Chinese, drawing forth the flashiest elements of theater from each for his act. Not much is known of his past. Seems to like being called 'Gloom', despite a fairly pleasant (if shy) personality, mostly because he likes the sound of the word. More than willing to do the dirty work of the clown running the show. Gloom, also, is homosexual. [Taken, by Sho.]

-Strong Man, male [name of your choice]; a physically intimidating man, his personality is up in the air for whoever wants the position. Either a gentle giant or a raging sadist, or somewhere in between. [position open]

-Snake Charmer [Shakti]: Shakti: Sherry Patel has a handful of elaborately crafted stories of her origins as a yogiri, clothed in Persian mysticism and fancy... but the sad reality is she's the American born daughter of an accountant. A gymnastics scholarship earned her the opportunity to fuck her way into graduating with a Sociology Degree.Though she lacks the appropriate background one might expect, Sherry does not lack the talents necessary for her chosen profession. Flexible with a high tolerance for pain and emotionally hollow, she eats flames, walks upon hot coals, pierces herself to the astonished gasps of the patrons. She has a genuine affection for her pet snakes, though she isn't so foolish as to think it's mutual. An elegant creature who seems as lithe and dangerous as her snakes, she dances with fire, performs feats of flexibility that astonish, and knows countless rope tricks... not all of them family friendly. It's odd that she has remained with the circus frankly, but there are rumors that one of the owners has something over her head. Irregardless, even if she is being blackmailed in some fashion, she strangely seems to enjoy it on some level. Or perhaps it's just a rumor.
[Taken, Mycroft.]

-Performers [names and genders of choice, multiple slots open]: People who make the show, a show. Acrobats, singers, dancers and animal trainers. Personalities up to the creator. [positions open]

-Clowns, [multiple slots and genders open]: Clowns who keep the show riotous, but who maybe aren't so happy with their lives out of the ring. Personalities open to the characters' creators. [positions open]

-Other Freaks [multiple slots and genders open]: Could be a hairy man, twins joined at the hips, or anything you can think of. [positions open]
-Freak One: Taken by Shihong. Deformed-ish woman.

-Show Technicians [multiple slots open]: The men and women who help set up the show, from caring for the animals to setting up the tent. [positions open]

Position of the clown is taken by Peacethatpowerbrings, as it seems. Other positions still open!

Given her skills it seems odd that she has remained with the circus, but there are rumors that one of the owners has something over her head. Irregardless, even if she is being blackmailed in some fashion, she strangely seems to enjoy it on some level. Or perhaps it's just a rumor.

Those who know her, are well aware that in place of emotion she has only appetite. A true hedonist with an affection for both ends of the lash, she is untameable and morally bankrupt... a dangerous combination that is none the less intoxicating and tempting.
