I think it's pretty funny, and I can't read Japanese at all.

But then, nobody ever really agrees on humor.

I imagine in the first panel she's babbling wondering how she ended up with Shinji, and in the last she says something along the lines of " WHAT THE HELL?!" or " OH MY GOD!"

You know, the dialogue may not be the issue.  This would probably be a lot less funny for someone totally unfamiliar with Evangelion.

Reminds me of the time my friends and I were in a light-hearted GURPS space-war one shot. I played a character that didn't know english, and would shriek at everyone in angry german (Though he always followed orders). He was given the handle 'Lassie'.

Very fun, very stupid game.
