Naruto-Based One-on-One or Small Game?

Well, having just recently been accepted as a member here, I am looking to make my first real foray into the, ah, "meat" of the forums.  ^_^  I don't really feel up to committing to a full-scale game (either running one or joining one) just yet, so I'm looking to start a one on one or small game.  What exactly is entirely up to whatever anyone who responds wants, as far as whether it would be a continuing story, a "one night stand", or something else.

The first idea that came to mind was to do a story set in the Naruto universe, as it's a setting that I have some experience with and have a couple ready characters for.  Now, it's important to note that this is not the familiar Naruto universe exactly; it's sort of the future of the Naruto universe.  This is because I don't want to have to deal with pre-existing characters interfering with things too much.  Basically, Naruto himself is Hokage of Konoha, and is in his late thirties, early forties.  Most of the other familiar Naruto characters are either dead, retired, or have in one way or another given up on a life of adventure.  Where exactly they all are is up for debate, but they likely won't be playing any more of a part in any events set in this universe than, say, the Hokage plays in the Naruto anime.  Other than this jump forward in time, many things are much as they are in the anime, including for the most part the relationships between the various villages.

As far as content, given the setting and my personal tastes I'd definitely lean towards Heavy Exotic, although that's up for debate if someone is interested but has a problem with heavy or exotic games.

So, with this world setting in mind, is there anyone who'd like to participate in such an RP?

Just FYI, the Exotic sections are setup for boards/threads involving beings that are largely non-human in nature (say Minotaurs, Rodians, etc.), versus the pretty much human (say Elves, Vulcans, etc.).  Given my incredibly limited knowledge of the Naruto stuff, I'm not certain which would apply to that world.

Thanks, but I'm not sure I want to join a pre-established game.  I'm also leaning more towards a one-on-one type situation than a small game.

And I think Naruto for the most part wouldn't qualify as Exotic, but if everyone involved was willing, I can see Exotic content happening.  "Special" Jutsu and all that... :)

Ah, ok.  I only mentioned it because you had "small games" in the original post . . . misinterpretation on my part (small in number v. site use of the phrase).  Mea culpa.  :)

I'm running the Naruto small game at the moment, but I'd be willing to take up a one on one as well, as far as GMing goes. I realize that, as a guy, you may be less than comfortable playing with a guy running the girls. It's fine if you feel that way. Either way, welcome to Elliquiy!

Hm... I'd be more comfortable with a girl, just because that's where my past experience lies, I guess.  That said, I came here to increase my experience, so... I'll take what I can get, is I guess what I'm saying. :)

You don't have to 'take what you can get' Kazuma.
Be patient and someone may come along.

Meanwhile, it may help you to get into things more if you can think of some other scenarios that aren't as 'specialised' as this?
That way you could get a game going and get into the way the boards run and people write here.....*smiles*

As I said, I'm here to increase my experience.  The Naruto setting was just the first scenario that came to mind; I thought it might be better to be a little specific rather than just "Hi, I'm new and want to RP, what do I do?" :)

And I think "take what I can get" might have been the wrong terminology; I'm bad with words sometimes.  I meant that while it wouldn't be my first choice, it isn't something I have a problem with.
