Singapore is the largest (719 km^2) and the most populous (over 5.7 million) of the three sovereign city-states (the other two being Monaco and Vatican city).
It ranks 3rd in the world for population density (2nd, if you exclude the non-sovereign Macau) and  GDP(PPP).  It is the most expensive city to live in, and has the highest percentage of millionaires.
Only 61% of Singapore's population are citizens, and nearly 43% are foreign-born.
While 74% of the population is Chinese, Singapore's current president, Halimah Yacob, is a Muslim woman of mixed Indian and Malay descent.
