Also a former judge who years prior beat his wife in front of their children is now accused of murdering her. They claimed he didn't seem violent(Even though he beat his wife and had an absolute arsenal of weaponry) and he was even given a high paying job after the first incident.

I think the article she shared mentioned around 400 people were hospitalized? Probably many more attacked but just not treated. I'm just mentioning that to give some perspective. I just would not want the impression given that these protests are ultranationalist related.

I went out again and I was on the phone. Does this happen often? Because across the ocean I tend to hear about major riots happening in France every two years or so... Not that I can say much about it though. We get that crap yearly nowadays. Although oddly enough, things do seem to be calming down this year.

We now know the FBI recognize the Proud Boys as an extremist group and threat. And that they've been warning Law Enforcement about them. Which is a bit odd given how often Police work with them and defend them and those with them. Which makes me wonder if the FBI were doing this while the police were hiding information about the members of Patriot Prayer setting up "Sniper" positions with long guns during a march featuring the Proud Boys that ended in a lot of violence.

The Ohio House of Representatives this week passed one of the most restrictive abortion bills in the country — one that would penalize doctors for performing an abortion when a fetal heartbeat can be detected and pose a potential challenge to Roe v. Wade.

A fetal heartbeat can be detected by an ultrasound as early as six weeks into a pregnancy, a time during which most women are unaware they are pregnant.

Under the bill, approved Thursday by a vote of 60 to 35, performing an abortion on a fetus with a heartbeat would result in a fifth-degree felony, which is punishable in Ohio by up to one year in prison and a $2,500 fine. The bill now heads to the Ohio Senate.

The measure includes no exceptions for rape or incest. Doctors may, however, make an exception during a medical emergency or if an abortion would save a woman’s life.

One or more gunmen on the loose at Mercy Hospital in Chicago. Several people wounded and at least two in critical condition  - one police officer and one gunman. :( Seems quite uncertain whether there were just one or more shooters, and how many badly hurt victims, but the police are still highly active at the site.

(Just caught this live on CNN, but the two other news sources I can find about this are both of them closed to non-Americans)
