I'm not too big on Cradle of Filth. They're too.. demonic for me. XD

Do you like Avenged Sevenfold (A7x)?

I totally understand! Cradle is pretty sick and twisted on top of the evil stories they sing about.

I LOVE A7X!!!!!! Ever since 7th grade when my friend let me borrow City of Evil. I swear I didnt give it back for like two weeks lol xD

I listened to 'I Bleed by Halestorm. They are really cool!! :D

Where do I even start on this topic.  Considering their are so many varieties of "metal" and peoples opinions on what is and is not will vary.   Like I don't consider CoF demonic in any sense.  Danny himself said they where not and their music... I'll leave it at that.  A7x... Yeah.  I got nothing to say about them either.  While I consider CoF metal, I don't consider A7x metal.  So, I'd say if we are talking about the harder side of the rock genre then it would open up to more posts and more people learning about bands that they may have not heard of.  That is just my two cents though.

Well over the years ive gone through drastic musical tastes yet most of them I still listen to. Plus I was more or less just trying to meet different people that like different styles and just kinda see what happens without opening 80's metal, Death Metal, Heavy Metal, Metalcore, Post Hardcore so on and so forth topics. So.... Yeah. And by the way I know Danny isnt a satanist or anything but the themes of a lot of their songs involves evil hence why someone would listen to something without those themes.

You should! They're pretty good. I recommend Damnation, their only album without gutturals. It's a bit depressive, but it's a masterpiece. Blackwater Park is VERY good too.

Geeze where would I start? I like COF myself... I also listen to Five Finger Death Punch, Lamb of God, Amon Amarth, Children of Bodom, King Diamond, Dimmu Borgir, Behemoth and others. I started in the '80's and never looked back...

Thanks guys and gals... Just let me know when you all swing by and I'll break out the Guinness and bust out some Kittie or Arch Enemy... Concert wise I did see Emphatic when they were still known as Veneculas and they kicked ass back then. Great opening choice for Jackyl... Although there was also the time when 3 Day Meat Sale opened for Quiet Riot, they really didn't go together.

Someday maybe I get lucky and Jada Pinkett Smith puts Wicked Wisdom back together for a tour....

Actually I popped in the soundtrack for Dee Snider's Strangeland... I so love that movie and the soundtrack kicks ass... Dee, Sevendust, Coal Chamber, Pantera, Megadeth, (hed)p.e. and more... I would recommend finding the soundtrack for Alone in the Dark as well. While the movie sucked ass, the soundtrack was a metalheads dream...

Jackyl is an older band the lead singer will do solo's with a chainsaw and they always play Sturgis anymore. Heck I remember when Jesse James Dupree was on the Tom Green show and cut the corner of his desk off with the chainsaw. It was almost as funny as Bobcat Goldthwait setting the chair on fire on the Tonight Show. Emphatic has been doing some of the themes for the WWE. Wicked Wisdom was never really well known, but Will Smiths wife was the lead singer...

Another group to check out is Steel Panther... They are bringing back the old Hair Metal, but are extremely dirty with their lyrics...

Ahh the good old metal, the good old days and the good old guitars.

I used to play rhythm guitars and do vocals for a band back in college... did it for around three years or so. From Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer and Megadeath to Black Sabbath, Black Label Society, Rage Against the Machine and Killswitch Engage. Good stuff.

Anyone who likes metal bands with angry female singers should check out Otep, they are without a doubt one of the best bands out there

Love their 'Confrontation." Since the band had a female lead guitarist we used to cover that on occasion when she wanted vocals, pumpin' and energetic!

I'm going to miss Krofest... Alice in Chains, Bullet for My Valentine and Halestorm my summer would have been complete. Still get to see Lita Ford this summer though...
