Name: T'sh'lan
Race:  Tiefling (Someone who has a small amount of Demonic blood in them, usually from a far-flung ancestor)
Sex: Male
Hello.  :-) this looks like it has a lot of potential to be fun. Submitting a character.

Class: Warlock/ritual magic user
Alliance: Glaemrith
Strengths: Arcane lore,  demonic lore, natural night-vision (Black and white, can see up to 60 feet away in pitch darkness), long life span.
Flaws: Known defector, unsettling aura, slow speed and requires a walking staff/cane/other device to assist him in getting around.

History/Bio:  T'sh'lan originally worked for the  Kilictin, and this is where his knowledge of magic comes from. He was expected to do quite well--his demonic ancestry made him a particularly skilled wielder of certain forms of magic-- but due to escalating strife and conflict between himself and other mages, he eventually left.

Glaemrith, in keeping with their philosophy and seeing a valuable spell-caster, has accepted him into their ranks. However, he is also left in a predicament where his actions are questioned and watched, since he might very well be a spy (he is not).  Needless to say, the Kilictin aren't happy about his defection, and their's likely to be a bounty on his head. Even if not, he will easily be noticed by other spellcasters, and is likely to be singled out by them, since he's  a pariah to them now.

Additionally, due to some quirk that likely stems from his demonic ancestry, many people find it difficult to interact with him for long periods of time; something about him is distinctly "wrong", although if questioned, it is hard to say anything in particular is wrong. It's just a bad feeling.

Because of a magical mishap, his right leg is badly damaged and does not function as well as it should, in addition to being a constant source of pain, especially when it rains.  He often requires the aid of an implement to get around with, but even then, he is slowed down. He also has a very noticeable limp, which he can not hide without hurting himself.  Running is possible, but not something he can maintain for more than a few moments.

Equipment:
Robe reinforced with mythril thread, and decorated with semi-precious stones.
Staff made from yew wood. The bottom has a lead cap on it, and the top of it has a six inch diameter crystal orb.
Pouches for  ritual components, and minor magical items (detailed below).
Bound leather book detailing rituals, spells, and a handy reference for arcane matters.
Sturdy leather traveling boots.
Fingerless leather gloves.
An enchanted flask that keeps its contents fresh. Current contents is his own blood, for use in certain unsavory rituals.
13 inch long double bladed dagger. Very generic, made from steel, decent quality, slightly dull point.  Kept in a leather sheathe.
One vial of a healing potion used to stabilize heavily wounded individuals and to assist in the body's natural recovery.
One flask of an alchemical disinfectant solution for cleaning wounds. Highly flammable.
4 thundering stones; enchanted crystals that, when impacting into an object with force, explode. They release a blinding light and deafening noise, which will temporarily blind and deafen those within 20 feet of the explosion, and who do not have some form of protection (ear plugs, not facing it, etc.). The negative effects may last anywhere from 10-30 minutes.

Anyone who hasnt made a character should go ahead and post it here.
You can never be to young to die, but you can be to old to live. Might as well enjoy life while you can.

I'm going to make a formal sheet:

Glaemrith
Name: Vishod
Race: Human
Age: 35
Occupation: Void/Fire Mage
Appearance: Stands at 6'.  He wears a goatee and has short brown hair.  His skin is pale and his hazel eyes are hard to pick out from the scowl he carries around most of the time.
Bio: Vishod learned magic initially under the Kilictin.  He resented non-human masters and fellow students and did not appreciate the limits of the "proper use" of magic.  His prowess at magic caught the eye of the Glaemrith, though, and he quickly picked up the opportunity to practice magic freely and get rid of non-human presence.
Strengths and Weakness': Vishod's magic causes dramatic damage in the form of void and fire.  He is also very adept at disabling using his void magic, temporarily sucking the life and will out of his opponents.  He carries an odd staff attuned to plains of chaos and fire that greatly amplify his magic.  It is a very black and polished staff with perfectly sharp points on each end.  Oddly enough, it doesn't seem to reflect anything, even in the best light, and the polish has no shine to it.  The staff has been witnessed fighting off warriors around him while he conjures up a fiery reception.  Others have whispered that the staff comes to him at his mere mention of the thing.  His hatred of elves is well known and causes him trouble.  He will dispense with elvish foes first, even if they are not the prime threat.  He also does not carry anything that heals or restores.  One time he left his war party exposed to a human Kilictin group to overrun an elvish elite guard.  Even though the guard was mauled, the Kilictins almost wiped his war party out.  Those who know of the incident wonder how Vishod escaped death, but no one has bothered taking the risk of asking to find out.

Looks good, except Glaemrith is the good one, Kilictin is the bad one :P

Glaemrith
Name: Jacques Aquilius
Race: Equestrian
Age: 23
Occupation: banner carrier, Royal Infantry, attached to 52nd enginnering division
Appearance: Dressed in blue and golds of Glaemrith half-plate Jacques stands a full 7'6 in height, and is built like most of his species with powerful legs, a horse's head, and in his case white fur. making him the perfect posterchild for his division.
Bio: born in the town of Holshire, Jacques quickly entered the military as was family tradition, even attending a military academy. He hopes someday to become the first equestrian general. Jacques is a kind and honest man, if a bit stubborn.
Equestrians are the result of a mage trying to improve upon the heavy knights that became footsoldiers when the Centaur became the main heavy calvary. creating equestrians, by combining the mount with his steed. The first of their breed were horrified at what the "improvments" had done, and beat the mage to death on the day he presented them to the king. The king was impressed that the leader of a schol of magic was beatin to death by simple soldiers, and after a few generations they were made into specialist heavy infantry, brought out to fight mages or to charge the enemy front line, hit hard, and retreat. letting the orc and human divisions take advangage of the ruptures and strike hard.
Strengths and Weakness': Jacques's speed and ability to fight mages on a battlefield makes him a major threat, especally when providing cover for the Alchemist engineers he might have access to their potions in combat.
However he is vunrible in two ways. the first being his ego, he is likely to charge unsupported at calvary, or be the first man crashing down into the enemy ranks, he's gained a number of scars from near deaths this way. The second is between his legs, like all Equestrans has an unmatched libito, and a beautiful woman can to a ton of damage to the best laid plans.
Prudence, justice, temperance, courage, faith, hope, love...
debate any other aspect of my faith these are the heavenly virtues. this flawed mortal is going to try to adhere to them.

Culture: the ability to carve an intricate and beautiful bowl from the skull of a fallen enemy.
Civilization: the ability to put that psycho in prision for killing people.

Sounds pretty good Ironwolf.
I'm not personally familiar with Equestrians, but I think I understand what they are pretty well.

Its fine. Easy mistake to make.
I think I'll start the main thread when I wake up. Maybe another person or two will hop on board before we start.
Night, are you going to go with your Kilictin or Glaemrith(Or both) character?

I was thinking about making a Kilictin character, though I wasn't sure what exactly.  I'll have to miss over the details a little more and then I'll make a character.

Just because I like hearing other ideas, any thoughts on character traits that would round out the group well?  Like I said, I just like to hear ideas while I put a character together.  Give me about a day to sort it out, then I'll have something put together.

lenka

Pila (her hawk) can scout out area's that are far and rocky with speed and efficiencey that now one can get to.
Stealth and speed- very quick with the bow and knives, is a great fighter with her hands and feet if need be and is a fast runner. Has known to be able to whisper to the trees *nobody know's this*
Mandala- ability to draw circles with her elven knifes to create magical symbols that help protect her mind, flesh or something in particular *hasn't used it on others as yet*
Slitting throats is a personal enjoyment *especially when coming from behind*

Moving into the castle walls where she was taught the ways of survival by the young royal guards and worked as a horse stable until she was sought after by the king himself,  she was given an insight into the world of which she now breathes through...she would do anything to protect the world in which she knows of now and that of her King that had given her new life.

Striving for the very best she was an aggressive fighter even from a young age, never surrendering until she brought blood to the front line whether it was her's or the recipients...usually the latter.
She was watched by the king himself it was rumored as her impressive and impulsive strong nature was heard throughout the kingdom until she disappeared by the eyes of the locals...some say she was an assassin for the king himself, her eye was that of a hawk and her bow just as quick as she lived in a shadow of her once elven form.

Mia worked for the king for years, she stayed hidden within the walls alongside to his city to always protect and serve , the king was the one person she would take orders from for he was the one that had given her this chance at life.

.....So let me know if your interested in a female joining the ranks. :D
I can change or work with you guys also...just thought I'd put my bit in, I don't mind working as a Kilictin (the elven heritage could come out later maybe?)

Cool...let me know *crosses fingers*

Nooblet

@Nightender: Well Kilictin doesnt have to many melee fighters right now. If you dont mind coming up with a character for that kinda thing then it would fit fairly well. You could also take my charcter idea for Kilictin if oyu want(I think I'll go for the Glaemrith one).

@Lenka: The character seems great to me. Glaemrith may be the Holy Empire, but they still have many uses for assassins and the like  ;D

anthro race we once came up with around the table and I've enjoyed playing ever since. basicly a wizard said "I can make you all better warriors" and the knights said yes... they had no idea the wizard was a chymerist.
Equestrians in the world you've created, I thought would be a sub-group of other chimera enhanced infantry, i might come up with some others if given time, less anthro more stuff like Half-Golem seige engineers, firebreathing shock troops, and so on

though in reality this guy's based off my Avatar, including wings, i probably should have mentioned that.
Equestrian are Chimerian shock troops, many claim they look closer to pegsus than a horse. Their grafting of wings do not allow them to actually fly great distances, especally in armor, they are used to speed up when charging, then allow them to change direction and get out of the fight quickly.
At maximum speed in medium armor their feet barely touch the ground, they hit home, or can go gliding over the enemy lines.
Come to think of it there seems to be verry little standardization among Glamerith's army, that would actually be an organizational weakness. kinda like the ottoman empire... oh man... turkish bombards... I'm going to use those

Ok...I will take control of the Centaurian Royal Guards then, unless someone else had that in mind?
I will post, but we can modify if need be.

Hasn't been too clear on who's taking on what so I presume we will just play by ear.

Nooblet

You can do that. Roles arnt really clear-cut at this time, its more of a just roll with it kinda hting at the moment :P

What about posting rules?
So that everyone gets a chance and don't get taken over by others.

*shrugs* Just curious.

Nooblet

Well, I dont have any particulair order for positng. I figure just take the positng slow in general, and that should give everyone enough time to either keep up, or not be very far behind at all.
But, should anyone want some kind of order or more strict rules for postin I'll come up with osmehting to try and satisfy everyone ^.^

What are some of your other thoughts with the story line...besides the battle, any kidnapping or torture on the cards?

How many soldiers were we thinking of controlling..I haven't stated that yet and can modify, but I didn't want it to be too over powering or under powered...so the Kilictin and the Glaemrith have roughly the same or not?
