I don't mean to be dense, here, but I'd like to change my avatar to something a little more 'E', and less Gundam-y.

I'd love to use this image...

...  but there's issues.

Help, please?

Size would be your first thing.  Avatars can be no larger than 150 wide and 200 high.  (Oops, fixed that.)

It would be a kindness, Oreo...   One that I'd be extremely grateful for.

What's wrong with robots and power-suits? D:
If you're searching the lines for a point, well you've probably missed it; there was never anything there in the first place.

Keanu Reeves a la Constantine was a very good choice, in my humble opinion!

But the question still remains how to do it.  To resize and change your avatar so that we can learn to do it ourselves.  Its something I have always struggled with.
I hope that you're still searching for the start that has no end and all the plastic people have now become your friends before you start to drift and your soul begins to scream I just wanted to tell you that you're listening to a dream.  Ons and Offs]    [ http://rh.greydawn.net/browse.php?c=Nevaeh]  [https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?topic=83776.0]  BY THE WAY.... If I am slow in posting I apologize.  I have reasons, they aren't always the same so if you want to know why ask me, I won't be putting it for all to see.

Use any image editor to do it. This can be something on  your computer like MS Paint, or Photoshop, or GIMP, etc., or you can use an online editor like :

http://www.online-image-editor.com/
http://pixlr.com/express/

You'd have to resize it to a width of 150 or less and a height of 200 or less.

The problem with teaching you "how to resize and change your avatar" is that the program you use entirely changes the exact instructions for the process. It's highly dependent on the program UI. However, the main process is still what I outlined above:

1. Open the program.
2. Open the file.
3. Resize the image (or image canvas) to width of 150px or less, and height of 200px or less.
4. Save the image.
5. Go to this page to change your avatar: https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?action=profile;area=forumprofile
6. Hit change profile.

Also, Nevaeh, there is an excellent tutorial thread here that I found very helpful.  It talks about both avatars and signatures.
I can go from southern belle to ghetto thug faster than you can say "Bless your heart".
