A peach, a walk in the park and a jump rope.


Thwicka, thwicka, thwicka, thwicka...

It was a plastic, cheap thing.  This simple rope with handles.

Thwicka, thwicka, thwicka...

But it was her most precious possession.

Twhicka, thwicka, thwicka, thwicka....

Again and again it strikes the sidewalk as she jumps, doing that special jump that propels her forward.  She's so good at it she's nearly running.  Ahh to be 10 again.

To the park on a beautiful sunshiny day.  A smile upon her lips, and that glorious fresh peach in her pocket for a snack.  She can almost taste it as she jumps.
