Close to the blisteringly cold Crown of the World is nestled the seven kingdoms of the Lands of the Linnorm kings.  Sveinn Blood-Eagle has long been the most powerful king in the realm, ruling over the expansive Thanelands, but now no more.  Slain in single combat by the newly crowned Linnorm King of Hagreach, his death has thrown the realm into a time of turbulence as the enormous power vacuum sends shockwaves throughout the lands and for the first time in decades, it seems that the peoples of the Linnorm Kings might actually wage open war against one another.

Yet, whilst the realms of men squabble, the mighty linnorms, once dormant, stir to bring madness and death to the weakening nation.  Rumours even abound that the legendary father of all linnorms, Fafnheir, has been seen outside his ancient demesnes in the Grungir Forest.  Meanwhile, agents of Irrisen – Land of the Winter Witches – walk the land with mysterious motives and offering aid to the beleaguered inhabitants.

A time of unprecedented change is about to shake the Lands of the Linnorm Kings.

Welcome and thank you for looking in for this Pathfinder campaign into the Land of the Linnorm Kings!  As any of you who expressed interest in the Interest Thread will know, I'm starting this campaign because of by my immense enjoyment with the Elder Scrolls: Skyrim.  Knowledge of the game is not necessary.  For those of you who have played it and want more, you've definitely made the right stop!

Please do familiarise yourself with the following so as to ensure that this is the sort of game you want to be in.

Please note that this will not be on a first come, first served basis.

Warning/Disclaimer: Time will pass between major adventures.  Secondly, time is capricious in the fey realms.

LANDS OF THE LINNORM KINGS

CAMPAIGN HIGHLIGHTS & POINTERS

  • The realm lies above a dormant rift to the First World of the fey, and the Lands of the Linnorm Kings is full of subtle enchantments, strange magic and supernatural effects the further one moves away from civilised areas.

  • Despite a prevalence of magic in their lands, the average Ulfen (a.k.a. Nords/Viking people) are a highly superstitious lot and don't take kindly to overt displays of spellcasting, especially arcane magic.  Martial skill, however, is highly respected; especially strength and toughness - they won't sneer at a finesse-based warrior, but such skill won't garner as much respect.  Priests of Gorum and Desna are respected, whilst priests of other non-evil religions are judged by their deeds.  Druids are almost held in awe, but with a healthy does of caution (like watching a spectacular bonfire - majestic, but you don't want to get too close)

  • The land of Irrisen was once part of the realm, before the legendary witch, Baba Yaga, wrested it away to form her nation of winter witches.  The two nations have been on poor terms since.  Most people of the Linnorm Kings have come to terms with the loss, though but it is a grudge that rears up from time to time.  Skirmishes are common along the border, but there has been peace between the two, albeit a (ahem) cold one.

  • This campaign takes place after the events of the Reign of Winter adventure path have resolved themselves.  Most people know a new queen now sits in Whitethrone, but little else other than that the new monarchy is attempting to reach out to its neighbors with a large number of ambassadors.

  • Currently 4 of the 7 kingdoms in the realm have Linnorm Kings (gender irrelevant): Broken Bay, Hagreach, the Ironbound Isles, and Southmoor.  In theory, anyone can take rulership of a kingdom if they succeed at besting (traditionally killing) a linnorm in single combat - people of Ulfen descent would be the obvious favorites, but outsiders could do so as well - present case in point: Hagreach.

  • The Land of the Linnorm Kings is quite rugged compared to many other places, so being prepared for environmental challenges is a must.  Whilst the people of the lands are a simple people, they are not stupid and nor is their internal politics any less vicious than anywhere else in Golarion - disputes, however, are likely to be settled by duels rather than trading words and insults.

  • Taken as a whole, the Land of the Linnorm Kings is Chaotic Neutral with regards to power centers.  Most people are Neutral in alignment.  Other details include:

    • Common Expected Enemies: Animal, Fey, Humanoid (goblinoid, human, orc), Magical Beast, Plant, Undead
    • Less Numerous Enemies: Dragon, Humanoid (giant, shapechanger), Monstrous Humanoid, Outsider (chaotic, evil, fire, water)
    • Common Terrain: Cold, Forest, Mountain, Plains, Underground

    • Popular Religion: Desna (CG), Gorum (CN), Gozreh (N)
    • Less Practiced Religions: Cayden Cailean (CG), Erastil (LG) Pharasma (N), Shelyn (NG)
    • Strong Cults: Lamashtu (CE), Norgorber (NE), The Eldest (varies)
    • Racially Practiced: Calistria (CN; Elves & Half-elves), Torag (LG; Dwarves, some humans and half-elves)

    • Common Languages: Common, Orc, Skald, Varisian
    • Uncommon/Racial/Regional Languages: Aklo, Aquan, Draconic, Giant, Goblin, Sylvan, Tien, Undercommon
    • Rare Languages: Thassilonian

    • Useful Skills: Climb, Knowledge (arcana, dungeoneering, nature, local, nobility) Perception, Sense Motive, Survival

STORY vs. SMUT
I love writing sex scenes, but I'd prefer if it wasn't the whole point of the game; my main motivation for this is adventure, camaraderie, and danger.  Inherently sexual characters are not prohibited (welcome in fact!) but please read the mood.

When smut appears (and it will), I'd prefer if it flows logically rather than be forced or
porn-plotted
"I'm afraid I'm going to have to pull you over for speeding ma'am." -> Sex scene

"Anyone seen my wrench?  I'm sure I left it on the table." -> Sex scene

Pizza man knocks -> Sex scene

"Doctor!  Can you do anything to save the life of my dying husband?" -> Sex scene ('dying' husband joins in, cue cheesy 70s porno music)
.

WHAT MAKES THE GM HAPPY?
I won't lie and say I'm down for whatever.  A good, well-rounded (and believable) character always has my interest, as does one that integrates with the story and setting at hand.  People who make an effort to apply the knowledge they've learned are also good in my books.

Whilst it doesn't hurt to get creative and unique with character creation, whilst pumping up their credibility as a potential hero, one of my pet peeves is failure to note character vs. in-game competence and ability, summed up with the following:

Player "From a young age, my character could do such and such and has vanquished 5 bandits who ambushed her/him on the road whilst s/he was helping to find the missing miners.  After saving the miners from the giant beast, s/he traveled a long and perilous journey to the campaign region to seek further fortunes."

Me "... but you're only a 1st level character..."

I won't claim to be entirely free from bias when it comes to choosing characters, and just like anyone, I do have things I like to see.  Here are some concepts that instantly get my attention, and help improve your chances of having your PC chosen for the game.

  • Have a goal.  A goal they are willing to die for.

  • A new take on a time-honored cliche.  I like cliches - they're an easy shorthand for what we want.  Now, just find a way to make it fresh.

  • A quest for justice vengeance!

  • Searching for a loved one who was captured.

  • Escaping their old life due to some crime, deformity (supposed or actual), or special (socially unacceptable) devotion or belief they might have had.

  • Earthy grounded types in tune with the highs and lows of their nature.  On the other extreme of the spectrum, visionary mystics who spout cryptic poetry.

  • Sex cult practitioners.

  • A pregnant woman looking to make a better life for her unborn child.

HOW DID WE GET HERE?
Short story: by boat.

Joking aside, for whatever reason, your character was heading north towards the Lands of the Linnorm Kings.  The boat you were on was attacked and plundered by veteran Ulfen pirates who enslaved the crew and passengers.  After several days in the slave pen, one night you hear an unearthly roar and the ship is thrown into chaos.  The boat is rocked violently under the assault and begins to tear apart... after that, there is only darkness.

When you next awaken, you are on the shore of a rocky beach with some others around you, amidst the timbers and remains of the boat.  After salvaging what you can (i.e. your starting equipment) its time to get moving.

CHARACTER CREATION GUIDELINES
[float=right][/float]
Name: Character Name
Age: Any.
Gender: Any.
Alignment: Any non-evil.
Race: Campaign restricted.
Sexual Orientation: Any.
Deity: (Who do you pray to?  If any.)

Physical: Even if you have a picture, tell us about (what you feel) is their best qualities.  Others need to know what to pay attention to!
Personality: Tell us how we can expect your character to act.  But no irredeemably selfish or atagonistic characters please.

In 2 Sentences: Summarize your character's identity, goals, and dreams in two sentences (approx. 40 words).  Basically, this is your sales pitch.

Ons: Sexual and non-sexual.  Let others know what you want.
Offs: Sexual and non-sexual.  Let others know where to draw the line.

You will have noticed that there is no background/history detail in the above.  Do not insert it.  This is deliberate.  No one would know these just by looking at another.  I believe that a characters background should come out during the course of a story (piece by piece at appropriate times; not an expository monologue please!) - here's a chance for you to wrack up bonus XP.

If your PC has a background that you want to have crop up/explored in the story (such as searching for a loved one, a personal nemsis, etc...), send it to me by PM and we can work on that (but only once I've made final selections).

CHARACTER BUILDING GUIDELINES

  • Starting at 1st level.
  • 20-point buy
  • Only Paizo-published material, no third-party content.
  • All classes allowed.  Barbarian, Monk, Rogue, and Summoner uses the Unchained versions.
  • I reserve the right to approve a particular archetype.  Generally, I'm looking to preserve the theme.
  • Starting wealth per character is the noted average.
  • All core races acceptable.  Plus Catfolk, Changeling, Dhamphir, Drow (Standard), Skinwalker, and Tiefling.  Aasimar are also permissible, but do not gain +2 to two ability scores, only one (choose between the two offered).  Those of you who want to trade the spell-like abilities of the aasimar or tiefling for another, let me know and I'll roll it.
  • Characters may begin with 3 starting traits or 1 bonus feat.  No flaws.  For those taking traits, remember that only 1 trait per category (combat, racial, magic, social, etc...) can be taken.
  • Max hp at 1st level + Con mod.  1/2 at every level thereafter.
  • Background skills permissible.
  • For those with animal companions, familiars, or other similar companions; they will be NPCs under my purview (though you may define their personality and alignment when applicable) during non-combat situations, though you will still be able to order them around.

So, I did a little browsing on the Lands of the Linnorm Kings, looking for a suitable character concept.

I was thinking of playing a Snowcaster Elf, the sole survivor of his tribe (right now, I'm thinking ambush by another Elven tribe, though I'm happy to replace it with a calamity more in line with the GM's tastes). He flees south, only to be captured by Ulfen raiders and brought aboard their ship. This goes a long way to reaffirming the traditional Snowcaster suspicion of non-elves.

In terms of build, I've got this really weird idea for a two-weapon fighter specializing in hand-crafted stone throwing axes. Basically elven tomahawks. The build doesn't use any 3rd party stuff, but it might use some  weird feats like "Sliding Axe Throw" and "Relentless Shot", and the "Disposable Weapon" and "Splintering Weapon".

Quasar

No worries on being unorthodox.  Just have fun with it.

I love the ideas and the way you've presented this.  Currently working on a Changeling Oracle, possibly the Seer archetype, who spouts cryptic poetry.  -grins.-

Name: Howling Wind
Age: 120
Gender: Male
Alignment: CN (Not the crazy kind! Just a stranger in a strange land)
Race: Snowcaster Elf
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Deity: Findelalara

Physical: Howling Wind wind is a Snowcaster elf, hailing from the Crown of the World. His hair, skin and eyes are all frost white. He is built sturdily for an elf, and at a distance might easily be mistaken for a tall human. His face is is lean and angular, and tends to be impassive and stoic.

His gear is certainly much "wilder" than that of typical elves. His weapons are crude stone axes, and his clothes are fashioned from furs and hide. His chain shirt is the only modern looking piece, and that appears to be a well-maintained relic, rather than something made for him.

Personality: Howling Wind was taught all his life that outsiders are not to be trusted. Other elven tribes are bad enough, but non-elves are even worse. Being captured by the Ulfen has done little to dissuade him from these suspicions, but he at least feels some solidarity with his fellow captives. At the same time, he realizes that he must adapt to his strange new world, and that might mean placing his trust in these outsiders.

In 2 Sentences: For the time being, survival is enough. However, Howling Wind's tribal homeland is sacred to him, and one day he knows he must return to cleanse it of the evil that has taken root therein.

Ons: In Character: Hard to say. I think his views of sexuality were tied up closely with his role in the tribe. Now that his tribe is gone, he's caught between a desire for closeness and community, and his peoples' own code of secrecy. He would be drawn to people who prove adept at navigating that tension. Out of Character: Camraderie and adventure. My character's definitely pretty aloof and distant to begin with, but I'd really like for him to find a new "tribe" amongst his companions. It would be really cool for him to bond with someone enough to trust them with his real name. Sexually, I'm fairly open. If it's not on my hard offs list, then I'm probably willing to give it a go.

Offs: Scat. Gore. Hardline non-con. Also, no dual-wielding scimitar drow rangers.

Edit: Changed faith to Findeladlara. Did some more reading, and I've decided religion is probably more important to my character than I first realized.

ChaoticSky

Interesting! Gonna have to narrow down my ideas before i present a concept though.

Side question; is Torag not also one of the main deities of the LLK? I thought he was up there with gorum and desna, mostly in the aspect as a honourable father-figure (not-Odin), in contrast with Gorum's battlelust and Desna's wandering ways. They are noted as one of the non-dwarf groups that revere him.

Angie

Name: Tinalia von Grazen
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Alignment: NG
Race: Human
Sexual Orientation: Unsure. Open to experimentation.
Deity: Like most common folk of Golarion, pays lip service to a lot of gods.

Physical: Draconic blood manifests in strange ways, and in Tina's case, it manifested as deep purple hair. She has a slender, round face unmarred by scarring. Her arms are a little shorter then most people, leading to difficulties with high shelves...
Personality: Tinalia is generally compassionate, believing in a sort of modified code of chivalry-defend the weak and protect the innocent, all that jazz. While she is well aware she cannot help everyone (her father raised no fool), she would be the first to buy extra food when she has extra gold on hand and share it with the less fortunate in town. She will not attack those who surrender, but if they take advantage of this and stab her in the back, bad things will happen to them.

In 2 Sentences: Tinalia and her father came to this land as merchants. Separated from her father and with new powers she barely understands, she seeks to find him and maybe do some good along the way.

Ons: Sexual: Uhh, let me get back to you on that. Non-Sexual: She likes people who can tell a joke, who can weave stories (she tries herself), and absolutely loves a filling, warm meal. Also really enjoys powerful rainstorms.
Offs: Sexual: We'll start with the obvious, scat gore non-con etc, and add more later. Non-Sexual: Can barely stand trail rations. Finds herself uncomfortable around stoic, near-emotionless people (more then most already do).
Avatar is by Lemonfont. Will remove it if he asks me to.

Man, our characters clearly are not a good match. Obviously they need to become best friends by the end of the campaign.

Angie

If he ever laughs at one of her jokes or smiles at a story, they'll get along fine.

Might take a while... But with time she might manage to wear him down. He's gotta get used to the all the weird, scary outsiders first.

Chulanowa

So far, Oracle, Druid, Sorcerer, and Dexterity-type fighter.

Alrighty! I'm feeling barbarian, Paladin of Kurgess or Torag, or Big Thumpy Two-hander fighter.

Maybe Skald or Monk? Depends on the image I settle on.

And I have a lot of them to pick from.  XD

Name: Zoe Stoneshard
Age: 54
Gender: Female
Alignment: Nuetral Good
Race: Gnome
Sexual Orientation: Lesbian
Deity: Green Faith

Physical: Barefoot, adorned with ritual tattoos, Zoe is a gnome Druid from the Stonehold Clan in the Stormspear Mountains. Her clan are survivors that fled Irrisen years ago when Baba Yaga and her minions started capturing and enslaving her kin.
Personality: Pensive, Wise and open to new experiences, friendly and interested in hearing stories and telling stories. Deeply connected to nature, and the Green Faith. She likes a good joke, and enjoys meeting and being around people.

In 2 Sentences: She is determined to learn of her people's history, while helping those in need using the gifts that her faith has presented her. Learning about other cultures and working with them, to help improve relations and fight forces that threaten their lands is important to her while protecting and promoting the sanctity of the fey and natural world.

Ons: Folks who don't look down on the short people, nature, in all it's forms, especially storms and water. Jokes, tattoos, bare feet. Sexually, pretty vanilla really but she is attracted to women. Storms make her come alive. History, lore, culture.
Offs: Pretty standard. No scat, vore, non-con, etc. Not fond of aloof people, or folks that continually make short jokes unless she's gotten to know them very well.

NSFW Character Pic

Name: Vera Frost
Age: 22
Gender: Futa
Alignment: CN
Race: Human
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Deity: Desna

Physical: Vera is pretty voluptuous and has very pale skin. She has large DD breasts, a slim waist, wide hips, bubble butt, and thick thighs that could easily crush a mans skull. Her eyes are sky blue and she has a very attractive face. She appears to be fully female, but above her pussy, she also has a cock and balls. Normally her cock is about 8 inches long and her balls are 1.5 inches in diameter, but a curse from a fertility idol she carries can cause her cock and nuts to become larger and her body to become even more voluptuous.
Personality: Vera is pretty laid back, relaxed, and just tends to go with the flow. She's a little bit hedonistic too. She enjoys fighting, drinking, eating steak, having sex, and collecting treasure. She is also very loyal to her friends and treats them with kindness and respect. She also tends to act a little bit motherly to her friends, trying to keep them safe and out of trouble. If someone were to ever hurt someone she cared about, she would fly into a rage and smash them.

In 2 Sentences: Single mom fighting and fucking her way through the land until she finds her kidnapped children. She's easily distracted so she may have some fun along the way, but she will never give up.

Ons: Her sexual ons are excessive semen, dicks, balls, being filled in every hole, breasts, butts, large size differences, futas, being bred, and much more. Non-sexual things that she enjoys are, nice people, shiny treasure, good food, sleeping, and a good tussle.
Offs: Her sexual offs are castration, extreme pain and torture, giving rim jobs, incest, scat, surgical needles, underagand haracters, and water sports. Non-sexual things that she does not like are mean people, rudeness, seafood, and deep murky water.

NSFW
Name: Elisa Morosan
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Alignment: CG
Race: Changeling
Sexual Orientation: Omnisexual
Deity: Gozreh

Physical: Elisa, aside from having the uncanny beauty and allure of her race, moves with an eerie grace that draws the eye and holds attention without trying.  Her body always seems to naturally settle into the most visually-pleasing pose, and her hands dance in the air as she talks, gesturing and seeming to form images in the air to accompany her words.  Her voice is a musical, low-pitched rasp made all the more beautiful by her exotic accent.  Her most striking feature is her eyes, one the golden-brown of a lion's mane and the other the dark, intense green of a pine forest.  Her pupils are clouded by foggy cataracts, but that only seems to add to the knowing shadows that lurk in her intelligent gaze.

Personality: Elisa is a woman of unbridled passions, inscrutable mysteries and unpredictable moods.  Others might expect a Seer to speak in riddles, keep to themselves and stroke crystal balls.  While Elisa has her moments of Sphynx-like inscrutability and ball-handling, she also loves to settle around a fire with a drink and a smoke to tell stories with her companions, trade bawdy jokes, and sing songs in a smoky, bluesy alto.  She does retreat, sometimes, from socializing in order to try and focus on the visions she receives and the foreboding she feels, in a desperate attempt to understand them.  But, for the most part, she craves pleasurable experiences, or exciting experiences, for she lives with the fear in the back of her mind that sometimes very soon all will be lost.

In 2 Sentences: Elisa senses something dark and dangerous in the future, like a shadow falling across the whole world.  She strives to know and understand this fearsome sense of foreboding, and to, hopefully, prevent whatever tragedy it foretells from coming to pass.

Ons: Conversation, skin-to-skin contact, wit, body painting, extended foreplay, intense passion, new sensations and experiences, mouths, hands, oral sex, mutual masturbation, games
Offs: Bullies, bigots, inconsideration, vore, gore, overly-skeptical or jaded viewpoints, being treated as 'lesser' due to her gender or race, slut-shaming, scat, face-slapping, non-con

Name: Kell
Age: Early 20s
Gender: Female
Alignment: CN
Race: Human
Sexual Orientation: Pansexual
Deity: Faithless from recent trauma. (Will likely adopt Feronia or a local deity depending on the evolution of the RP. Other characters should feel tree to try and convert her)

Physical: Kell has the sort of soft, healthy figure of one who has lived a life that was as happy and free of toil as it was high of station. Her hair is a pure platinum blonde and frames her porcelain skin. But her beauty is marred by a terrible scar that covers her face from cheek to brow, the result of being burned or branded.
Personality: After what happened to her on the ship, Kell isnt quite as sane as she used to be, though fortunately this mostly manifests in a sheer lack of fucks to give rather than violent pyrophillia. A bit weird at times, but very friendly and kind! She wants to move forward with her life, meet new people, see new things, do fun peoplestuff. But the flipside is that she cares about very little.

In 2 Sentences: A runaway from some southern land, Kell abandoned her pampered life for adventure... but swiftly fell prey to the pirates. Worse, she was picked to 'entertain' the crew on the voyage home... Having regained her freedom and discovered a power all her own, this damaged girl seeks the freedom to move forward with her life, and clings to the naive dreams of adventure that brought her this far.

Ons: She likes energetic, rough sex, and is open to almost any kink her partner might want to try out. Shes especially interested in new things, and a lover who can keep the experience fresh will keep her engaged best of all. Outside of the bedroom she has similar interests, being strictly interested in moving forward with her life means that she values novelty and has little interest in revisiting old sites.
Offs: Scat, sexualized gore and slow lovemaking? Thats about it! Kell's apathy towards the sort of things that would get most people up in arms means theres very little she objects to... She wouldnt even mind being raped again, exactly.  But she is resoundingly unwilling to talk about her past, and having it rise up to interfere with her current life would quickly damage her calm.

Proficiency: All simple weapons and light armour.
Elemental Focus (Su): Choose one primary element on which to focus. Determines elemental power, specific wild talents and class skills. Gains selected element’s basicutility wild talent. Element: Fire
Wild Talents: Wild talents are typically psychic SLAs (some are SU), and take a standard action to use unless otherwise noted. Always has the elemental descriptor of the element. Blast and Defense Spell level= half Kin lvl, must meet the lvl on other Talents before taking. Unless otherwise noted DC = 10+spell level+ConB. Kins use ConB on concentration checks for wild talents. At lvl 2 and every 2 lvls after, selects a new Utility Wild Talent. At 6th, 10th, and 16th lvls, can replace one utility wild talent with another of the same lvl or lower.
Burn (Ex): Can overexert to channel more power than normal. Each point of Burn causes 1 point of nonlethal damage per lvl.Cannot be healed by any means, but restored after a night' rest. Max 1 Burn per round, rising at lvl6, +1 every 3lvls after.
Kinetic Blast (Sp): Gains a kinetic blast wild talent based on their Element. As a standard action, can unleash a blast at a single target up to a range of 30 ft. Must have at least one hand free to aim. Damage is treated as Magic for bypassing DR. Blasts count as a type of weapon for the purpose of feats. Blasts involve a sizable mass of matter or energy, so blasts always deal full damage to swarms of any size. A blast can be used to counterspell any spell of equal or lower level that shares its descriptor.
Gather Power (Su): With both hands free can gather energy/matter as a move action. Gathering power creates a loud, visible display in a 20ft area. This reduces the burn cost of a blast wild talent by 1. 1 full round = 2 burn, 1 round+1move = 3 burn. If damage is taken during they must succeed at a concentration check (DC=10+damage taken+spell lvl) or lose the energy and take burn equal to what they were trying to reduce.
Infusion (Su): Gains infusions at 1st/3rd/5th/9th/11th/13th/17th/19th lvls. Infusions come in two types; substance infusion causes a additional effect, form infusion causes the kinetic blast to manifest in a different way. Can apply up to one form infusion and one substance infusion. DC uses blast spelllevel, rather than infusion spelllevel, and Dex rather than Con. If a form and substance infusions both require saves, save against form, and if fail, then substance. If both alter damage, apply substance first. At 5th/11th/17th lvls, can replace one infusion with another infusion of the same lvl or lower.

Thats a good thing Angie, lol. I highly promote party alignment diversity, A nuetral Good character can perform actions in a way that a CN character cant. A LG character can do things the good way and a CE character can torture some one while the LG character is otherwise kept busy. Of coarse it depends on what kinds of characters a DM will allow, but in the end Alignment diversity is another key factor to success. It is more important then people think. :) Lol.

Edit: It is also important for Party dynamics, a bunch of CN's is not necessarily a compelling cast of diverse personalities. In fact, it would be like a bunch of angsty teens trying to hike together. :P

Angie

It also helps that my Diplomacy and Bluff are both insanely high-hell, my Diplomacy is in the double digits already. So Tinalia could be the central character bringing everyone together and inspiring them to heroic feats.

"Just because our foes are the way they are, does not mean we must descend to their level. Let's help these people out, and perhaps they will return our kindness?"

Exactly lol. The main problem with so many being CN is the fact that a CN either finds it hard to care for others, or is unsure on if they still care about other human beings or not. This uncertainty of personal connection, Uncertainty of personal morals is going to cause to much of a head ache for the party as a whole. So having a CG and a NG in there to mix things up is important towards the over all dynamic. Nothing will get done otherwise.

It is like having a bunch of Spawn's (Al Simon's AKA: Comic book Spawn) and Jack Sparrow's without a Will Turner or homeless people around to spur our good side. lol.

Edit: Of coarse there are a lot of people for the DM to consider so I am not worried about it lol, in the first place just thought it was funny how popular CN was in this thread.

clonkertink

I think the big thing is just keeping that separation between character and player. Sure, my character is slow to trust and wary of betrayal, but as a player I acknowledge that by choosing to play that character, it's my job to make it work, and find a reason for my character to tag along.

I like starting at that point, though, because it gives my character a lot of room for growth. He may be wary and distrusting now, but after a few adventures and near-death experiences I suspect that will change.

Quasar

Wow, so much happened in the metaphorical blink of an eye, lol!  Guess I better start reviewing!

Torag is indeed one of the main deities of Golarion, however, his popularity in LoTLK is not as high and so his religion is not as prevalent - dwarves are his strongest proponents, and generally smiths and a few others.  LG in a CN land... go figure I guess.

Edit: For the record, I'm going to leave the recruitment open until this coming Friday (26th), so no one should feel pressured, and if you would like to revise your character to something else, you may do so as well.  After Friday, no further revisions should be made as I will consider who'll be heading off to the Land of the Linnorm Kings!

Name: Jacob Conner's
Age: 23
Gender: M
Alignment: Chaotic Good / Neutral (I will decide on which depending on what everyone else is if I am chosen. Personality works for both, just differ's in it's extreme's depending on which it is in the end.)

Race: Human
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Deity: Calistria (After a past event.)

Physical: 6 foot 1 inches tall, he has shoulder length brown hair, green eyes. He has a healthy, masculine figure from long hour's of physical labor in his past. He has a scar from a stab wound just under his right breast, narrowly missing his heart. He may be a fighter, but he always has his lute on him, never keeping it to far from hand.

Personality: To this day, try as he might to not be this way, Jacob still easily trust's and cares for others. He would prefer to be selfish, he would prefer to focus on his quest at all costs. But sometimes he cant help but to show charity to some, aid to others. Or a friendly ear to his friends.  There was a time where he would be called a happy man, a good man even. But past event's have left him with a cynical ire for the world. He try's to keep a happy, confident demeanor. But it is obvious that he is struggling with something. He typically is good about saving face and being himself. He typically does try to be calm and collected to. But he has a protective nature for his Lute which is something fierce, even touching it without permission will make him snap at you. Maybe even get into a confrontation. Regardless of that, he is a clever man. Strong yes, but not entirely that good at combat. Not yet any way. He prefer's to address situations with a thoughtful nature, using tactics if possible and dirty tricks if he must. Survival is his focus. Because nothing matters more to him then his quest! Right... Other people are expendable!... Or at least thats what he tell's himself. But deep down he is still a caring and deeply empathetic man, who will help others... They just owe him later for it!... (Though he would likely just let it pass if he likes you. ;) )

Essentially: He is the charming and self centered rogue, but try as he might to focus on himself he cant help but care for others and go out of his way to do them a solid.

In 2 Sentences:  Jacob is not typically open about his past, but a deep sadness follows him and one can easily tell something is hurting him. Draining much of his ability to show care for others.... A far cry from the Horse Tamer he used to be just a year ago, Jacob has begun putting himself out there as a Levy. A fighter for hire. Hoping to hone his skill's, for a daunting task that in all likely hood he may never accomplish.

Ons: Friendliness, cleverness, Charm, Soft Skin, Large breasts. Romance as well as Casualness, (He likes sex, it distracts from what happened well enough. He also likes making love.) Anal, Light Blood Play, Rough Sex, Oral play (Giving Receiving) Lot's of foreplay, Servicing him (Breast jobs, hand jobs, foot jobs etc) Multiple Partners, MMF, FFM, Two girl's going down on him ;) .

Offs: Typical dark and gross stuff.

A Cleric or a Rogue would probably be cool if you want to do a more supportive role for a party. Rogues get a lot of skill points which is great for that regard, as well as trap checking. (Though, generally in my experience Gm's don't throw many trap's or locked doors towards players that do not have a rogue or capable Bard in the party. So if there is not a rogue I am not to concerned about that.) And then Clerics make for great magical support with their holy magic. And no not heal bots, cleric's are so much more powerful then people give them credit for :D !!! Clerics can be just so op sometimes in my opinion.

Im personally making a fighter for now, but after level 2 I will stop being a fighter and become a lvl 1 Bard. (Provided I am chosen.) Which would allow me to proceed to try and fill the gaps where we need them. As Bards are more so, Knowledge focused support/fill.

Hmm, I think Eirian might fit in well, for the adventuring part. Might be rejected due to lack of smut but yeah.  Concerning class, I'm thinking about making her an empiricist investigator, maybe starting with a one level swashbuckler dip to improve her survivability.

Statblock
Eirian Avenstar
Female CG Half-Elf Inspired Blade Swashbuckler, Level 1, Init 5, HP 11/11, Speed
AC 16, Touch 13, Flat-footed 13, CMD 13, Fort 1, Ref 5, Will 0, CMB 0, Base Attack Bonus 1
  Rapier 5 (1d6+3, 18–20/×2)
Lamellar Cuirass,   Buckler (+2 Armor, +1 Shield, +3 Dex)
Abilities Str 8, Dex 16, Con 12, Int 18, Wis 10, Cha 10
Skills Acrobatics +6/+7, Appraise +4, Bluff +0/+4, Craft (Alchemy) +8, Diplomacy +4/+8, Disable Device +3/+4, Linguistics +5, Perception +9, Profession (Merchant) +4, Sense Motive +4
Condition None

That's an old version of the 1st lvl dip. Given that myth-weavers somehow has eaten my sheet though, I'll have to redo her. Main class will be empiricist Investigator (or any other class you gusy can suggest to build a merchant princess / artificer).

Throwing in my pitch (probably a W.I.P.):

Name: Harkon Stormknife
Age: 120 (looks early 20's)
Gender: Male
Alignment: CG
Race: Dhamphir (Vetala-born)
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Deity: Gorum

Physical: Tall and powerfully built, Harkon appears as physically imposing as any storied warrior of the north, with pale grey eyes that gleam with a sort of reckless intellect from beneath the dark mop of his hair, though his actual features are somewhat softer and less square than the typical Ulfen.  Unlike the typical Ulfen, the black sword he carries is definitely not of Ulfen origin.
Personality: Despite his somewhat gruff appearance and manners, Harkon maintains an amiable disposition when dealing with others.  With a keen relish for strong drink and plentiful food, he affects an Ulfen personality even though it's clear that his roots lie in distant Taldor, though he bears the name of a northman.  With the exception of his sword and family ring, he has an easy come, easy go attitude to whatever comes his way in life.

In 2 Sentences: A mysterious man on a journey with an unknown destination to seek out the answers his family can't provide him with, and restoring his name.  A scholar by temperament, but a warrior by necessity.

Ons: Friendly companions, the great open wilds, forgotten temples and ruins, inclement weather and storms.  Most of my sexual ons and offs can be found in my signature.
Offs: The usual suspects; scat, watersports, sexual torture and mutilation.  Sugar sweet fairy tales.

Winter witch archetype and cartomancer archetype for the witch class can't be used together because the winter witch 'changes' the familiar ability even though it's just a restriction on what can be taken and not an actual change right?

Oh, yes, I should check in on alternate racial traits too. Right now Howling Wind's basically swapped everything out. I'm not dead set on the changes but Desert Runner suits the setting quite well, as it confers a bonus to fort saves against cold environments, as well as hot ones.

Also this
Name: Velta Baradin of the Shundar-Quah
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Race: Half-Orc
Class: Skald (Battle Scion)
Sexual Orientation: Not picky
Deity: Cayden Cailean

Physical: Velta is towering for most women, standing just over six feet, though lean and muscular. Her skin is an olive brown hue, decorated with scars and small tattoos. She wears her coarse black hair in a style traditional for Shoanti, women, cropped close on the sides, shaved to the skin in swirling patterns, and leaving a crest of thick, long hair over the top of her head. Most would say she's pretty... for a half orc. Bright brown eyes and a face that mostly borrows from her human parentage... save for the irregular, sharply-pointed ears and sharp teeth. She moves with a steady grace often missing from civilized people, even when clad in armor. When nude, there is little fat to her; her breasts are pleasant, though her hips are slim and her muscles stand out clearly; where her skin is shaded by clothing it has more of a greenish tinge. She does not trim  between her legs, but otherwise has little body hair; even that much is short and sparse. on her back is the tattoo of her Quah's totem, the Storm Roc - though the tattoo is poor quality and clearly done through primitive means.
Personality: She's boisterous; she seeks to prove her Quah wrong, to show them and the world that an orcish bastard can do good things and make a great name for herself. Some people would say "reckless" rather than boisterous, and unkind wags might call her barbaric or warlike - she's not turned down a bard brawl yet, at least. If she can't partake in the adventure herself, she'll demand to hear the story about it; so far she's collected a good collection of stories, most of which are at least somewhat true. She has only recently taken on worship of Cayden Cailean, after her time in Magnimar; abandoning the totems of her people has caused some small crisis of identity for her, even if her Shoanti relatives treated her worse than dirt.

In 2 Sentences: Half-exile, half-runaway, Velta has left her birth people on the storval Plateau to seek not only her own fortunes, but also her father; a half-orc warrior whom she has learned now lived in the town of Averaka on Flintyreach. She wants to prove herself in the crucible of the world - she says it's to show her ancestors and the people who raised her what she's capable of, but it's just as much to prove that to herself.

Ons: High adventure, good stories, alcohol, and lost secrets of yore; Sexually she's not very experienced, having been with just one woman for a time, and a male prostitute she hired in magnimar. She appreciates both an agile tongue and a hard cock, but has not gotten to explore much past that.
Offs: She's quite racist against Chelaxians and - surprisingly - orcs. Including other half-orcs. Including herself, to some degree. She dislikes urban living, where "urban" is "anywhere with more than ten stone buildings." Oathbreakers and liars piss her off. Sexually, she would be put off by restraints - it's just not fun without a little wrestling. She wouldn't even conceive of effluvia being sexual. belittling, degrading, or otherwise abusing a partner is not just something she's not into, but something that would raise her ire against others - that's what orcs do!

Angie

I see Velta would work well in Shadowrun if we ever decide to go that route  ;D

Snake

Name: Calder
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Race: Snowborn Half-elf
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Deity: Yuelral

Physical: Calder is fairly tall as a half-elf and with a muscular build, but noticeably; he has a natural birthmark resembling the holy symbol of Yuelral; one of the elven deities.  It's on the back of his hand though he usually keeps it covered with fingerless gloves. And he doesn't have the markings seen in the pic.
Personality: Calder doesn't value much in the ways of social niceties. He's not a bad guy but he thinks that you'd be better served in trying new things yourself instead of just talking about what you want to do. One thing he can do well and knows exceptionally well is the nature of the world around him and enjoys teaching others about it and how to live within it instead of just tearing it down to force it to make way. He does enjoy the fairer sex, even if he lacks the social grace to be truly charming; he has an innate roguish charm about him though.

In 2 Sentences: Calder is the son of a Jarl ( a minor Ulfen clan leader) and a snowcaster elf missionary, he has a goal to prove to his hereditary elven clan that mixing blood isn't always a bad thing by trying to live by their ways of life modified by human sensibilities. His dream is to gain a noble title to try to unite that clan of elves with his human family.

Ons: Tall women, strong personalities, respect for the land.  Physical fitness, big boobs (sexually he's got no experience but Ulfen women are naturally...busty so he's developed an attraction to that.)
Offs: watersports, gore, vore, scat, the normal stuff people usually don't go for. Non-sexual: racism against elves, pointless killing, Jadwiga (Winter witches)

Well, if by "artificer" you mean "making mechanical doodads," then there's the Scavenger Investigator, in addition to the Tinkerer and Construct Rider Alchemist archetypes. If you're wanting to make magical doodads, more similar to the eberron artificer? Well... that's not really a thing in pathfinder classes. You've gotta be a spellcaster, and buy the item crafting feats (neither Alchemist or Investigators are spellcasters, so, no luck there.)

clonkertink

Alchemists not counting as spellcasters for the purpose of crafting always bugged me. I feel like that ruling that unduly splits hair over rules, rather than being in the spirit of the class.

Krys

I'm playing an eberron artificer in my PnP group, but was thinking to go a different way with Eirian here. Place more emphasize on her social skills, and thus might even go a totally different route. I'm not knowledgable enough in Pathfinder though,  to decide on how to do so.

But: my english is JUST good enough to lull many readers into a false sense of security. Think of it as the communicative equivalent to "false friends words" which, while extremely similar in outward appearance in two languages, mean something slightly but importantly different. Like "I want to become a steak" makes perfect sense to a german... that still would prefer not to be butchered.

Well, thus far we've got a few "social skills" characters... I mean no harm in putting in another, who knows who Qasar will pick  ;D But what we seem to be lacking is a character who's heavy on skills in general, social and otherwise. An investigator or rogue would be really good for that. So would an Inquisitor or a Ninja (and the crazy thing? Ninja actually get an archetype for this exact setting; the Frozen Shadow) If you're really set on social skills? Rogue and Bard are the strong contenders, with Mesmerist and Inquisitor in there too (Inquisitor can key some social skills off Wisdom.) Vigilante is also awesome, but god DAMN that class has a ton of moving parts.

Pathfinder is really just an updated version of 3.5. Some key differences....

• You get a feat every other level, instead of every three levels, so 1, 3, 5, 7, etc.
• You get the same number of skill points every level, and can only have a number of ranks equal to your hit dice. If you have ranks in a skill you are proficient in, you get a +3 bonus to it. There are no skill Synergy bonuses.
• Archetypes are class variants that trade out core class abilities for new ones; not too different from 3.5's variant classes. Some Archetypes stack, so long as they do not replace the same class abilities.
• Dodge and Toughness are actually okay feats now.

Anything else is probably class-specific, but I'm happy to help - as are other poeple here, I'm sure  ;D

Quasar

Well, the investigator is certainly a step in the right direction, as would be a bard.  Based on your description of the character, the investigator as core of your character would be better, unless you're really set on item creation in which case it'll have to be the bard as they have the magic needed to make stuff.

As said, I'm not set on artificing. It's something I like to do to support the group, but such things can be acquired by a good merchant as well. Concerning bard... they tend to be rather... very niched. As much as I love my char to be able to sing, I'm really not much in the "charismatic bimbo"  thing.

Do you think the inspired blade swashbuckler would be needed to make survival easier? Or can a character work as well, who serves her group from the behind the strong shoulders of her friends?

There's already a lot of PCs that can help in the survival department, so unless you're intent on having martially inclined character, there's probably no need.

One of the things I'd like to see in the game is characters relying on one another, rather than the all sufficient, all capable character ::)

If you're goal is to be a merchant princess that gets by on savvy and cunning, then go for that ;D

Given that I came like this close to making Velta a Bard - battle axe and all! - i take exception to that characterization  ;D

If you're looking to do social skills and help party survival... have you considered paladin? It would actually bring a few missing pieces to the party, i think. We sorta lack any sort of moral compass here. Plus I would love to have someone able to make good use of Velta's Inspired Rage. it gives you the charisma and attendant skills, excellent defenses, and a solid offense as well.

I think the skill-monkey side of the investigator is a pretty big addition to the pool of recruits here. We've got a lot of people well versed in the art of inserting pointy sticks into enemies. Now so much in the way of knowledge and trap disarming.

Honestly isn't there a max Int for any char relying on the fickle favoritism of those often more than just mildly annoying extra-planar beings of dis-appropriate power? ;)

As you might guess, I'm not good at playing religious chars. Eirian will be as close to a sceptic agnostic as you can be in a world were some "things" insist that might makes right and holy at the same time. :D

Also all things considered, I guess Velta can make a halfway-decent 'slab of beef" character for the party? I mean she will have Fast Healing II for most fights, in addition to medium armor, a constitution bonus, and a shield, I guess, if she has to?

Still, i'd like to have someone who can truly appreciate all the Rage Powers, combat bonuses, and teamwork feats she'll be sharing with the party  ;D none of the spellcasters will be able to, since Inspired Rage keeps them from casting spells if they accept the bonuses...

One of the archetypes should have something.  The only thing that comes to mind right now is one that changes alchemy for spells.

Edit: The sleuth archetype replaces alchemy for a more darin investigator.

Well, you can always just not take Craft: Alchemy. The Alchemist / Investigator class ability "Alchemy" is basically their version of spellcasting - you prepare extracts, which are basically potions only you can use.

If that's what you're trying to get rid of, there are a few Investigator archetypes that remove the Alchemy ability from the class, yeah. Sleuth, majordomo, and Spiritualist replace it outright, while Psychic Detective and Questioner replace it with Psychic and bard spells, respectively. I think there's one or two more in one of hte more recent books that hasn't been put on the resource sites yet as well.

Krys

Sadly Psychic detective and Empiricist don't work together due to both replacing the posion stuff... which is great in itself as I dislike posion anyway but... hmmm.

Name: Albin
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Alignment: CN
Race: Changeling
Sexual Orientation: Bi
Deity: Besmara

Physical: Pale and short even if plumper then one of her height should be. Dresses lightly as she very rarely notices cold.  One eye is a pale blue while her other is a faded purple. Has a pet fox with white fur.

Personality: Very curious and willing to poke her nose into just about anything if she can learn something.  Energetically cheerful but soft spoken, more likely to poke and point then shout or yell. Unlikely to take the lead unless positive she knows better then anyone else around what's going on. Talks to her fox and gets upset if other's don't believe she can understand it. Odd sense of humor and may pull pranks, although they can easily backfire on her.

In 2 Sentences: Hag's daughter raised in the south come north following a faint urge.  Follows the way of Transformation with a boatload of Winter.

Ons: Cuddles and Dungeons!
Offs: Really rough stuff, scat, piss, blood. During sex at least. If it's a fight don't expect blood getting her to draw back. :D  Bullies and thugs will earn her scorn

From what I can see, I can't find any way to combine them due to that poison ability.  I assume what you're looking for is the Int substitution to certain skills from the Empiricist.  The best I can think of right now is to go with the Questioner and then use some traits that substitute Charisma for use of Intelligence.

Maybe someone else might be able to suggest a more elegant solution?

*nod* Yes, it's Ceaseless Observation (Ex), as it allows a social char to shine without making her excessively beautiful/charismatic. Replacing it with traits will be rather difficult, but I'll look into it.

The main idea is, to give her just enough Charisma to make her a sweet and lovable person. But her main attribute will be her brilliant intellect, allowing her to fill in the role as the groups scholar as well as face. Ceaseless Observation would be extremely useful to do so, strongly supported by a careful selection of bardic spells. Also the bardic aspect would fit well in with my idea to make her an accomplished, but not professional musician.

Hmm, maybe there is another investigator aspect I could drop to allow for the combination?  Studied strike for example? Which if I get it correctly is a rather powerful ability, though doesn't fit with my concept anyway.

Clever Wordplay (Social)
pragmatic Activator (Magic)
Bruising Intellect (Social)
Student of Philosophy (Social)

However, my advice? Just go Empiricist. Alchemy is seriously the only thing that gives the Investigator an edge over hiring an expert for 10 SP/day at the low levels, and trading it off makes it very difficult for the Investigator to contribute and keep up with the party. And trading off your one and only combat strength is also not a great idea. i say this as someone who tried it with a Psychic Detective, and again with a Majordomo. Even a default investigator is pretty feeble before level 4, selling off its limited strengths before then is a complete pain.

If all you want to be is a walking ball of skill points? I'd suggest going Unchained Rogue and at least getting some incidental sneak attack out of the deal.

Autocad

Name: Inge Svaegdottir (Warpriest of Gorum)
Age: 18
Gender: Futanari (if not going that route, then female)
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Race: Human
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Deity: Gorum

Physical: The first impression most people have of Inge is her height, though technically it is often the second thing noticed, the first being her bosom straining against the confines of her iron armor, conveniently at most people's eye level, and only afterwards do they have to look up at her, sometimes needing encouragement from the greatsword she always carries around with her. She has the crimson of rusted iron in her hair and the green of corroded bronze in her eyes. The symmetry of her fair face is marred by a scar on her right cheek.

Personality: Like the god she worships, Inge believes in the mantra "might makes right" above all, and is not above taking what she wants by force. She is cold and calculating, willing - perhaps too much so - to make sacrifices for the greater good. But she knows all too well the strength of having comrades-in-arms, and gravitates towards joining a group, so long as it is worthy of her strength. As a warpriest of Gorum she has sworn an oath forsaking non-metallic weapons and armor.

In 2 Sentences: Inge's goal is simple: to coat her blade in the blood of her foes for the glory of Gorum. Yet violence unjustified by a cause is criminal murder, not glorious war, so she has to seek out honorable battle where ever it may be found.

Ons: Consensual, non-consensual, forced / multiple orgasms, dares (go into the next battle with your boobs/cock hanging out!), predicaments, sadistic choices.
Offs: Bodily waste, gore (during sex. Bloody battles are fine). In-character offs: oath-breakers, cheats, haggling, weakness.

Grizzly

Name: Hawk
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Alignment: CG
Race: Catfolk
Sexual Orientation: Hetero
Deity: Gorum

Physical: Typical of Catfolk, Hawk has a decidedly feline head atop a furry human-like body, complete with a tail.  His fur is a mix of a white base with black stripes, better for prowling about the snows of Irrisen.  He has a more athletic build, lean but muscular, emphasizing grace and agility over raw physical power.

Personality: Most Catfolk tend to be loners but not Hawk.  He enjoys the company of others but is not above prowling off into the shadows on his own should the urge strike him.  Cautiously curious, Hawk finds distractions easily and has been known to be drawn towards tracks.  His hunter instinct is well intact though he does not have a great deal of fighting experience to back it up.  A discerning and somewhat fussy palate has lead him to seek out new and exciting spices for cooking.

In 2 Sentences: A white furred hunter of interesting prey and spices, straddling the line between wild and civilized, instinct and upbringing.  An uncommon feline face seeking acceptance, even if instinct says otherwise.

Ons: Fairly open to ideas of a sexual nature, if the characterization would make for a good story.
Offs: Scat and other bodily fluids.

Name: Eirian Avenstar
Age: 16
Gender: female
Alignment: chaotic good
Race: human
Sexual Orientation: unsure

Deity: Coming to the gods, Eirian surely isn't one of the most devote of followers. Some would even say, her sceptic scientific mind is headed towards agnosticism. Which is not an easy task, living in a city where anyone could attempt the trial of the cathedral of the starstone... and return as a deity him or herself. If there are gods that have importance to Eirian, it should be Shelyn goddess of art, beauty and love, Desna goddess of the stars, travel and luck, and lastly Calistria with her lighter aspects of knowledge, trickery and lust. Though none of even these three is really touching Eirians heart in a way that would kindle the flame of true faith. As the aspects Eirian herself holds most dear are creativity, invention and curiosity, which are yet not represented by any deity.

Physical: Lithe of build, and with a face as soft and cute as her voice, she is often underestimated. But anyone able to see, will recognize the curiosity and intelligence burning in her dark blue almost violet eyes. Unlike most humans with elvish blood, she sports a sweet smattering of freckles around her nose. Her style of clothes is usually as simple but practically as her coppery/auburn hair. Still while she might not follow the trends of la moda, or intent to catch the eyes of young men, her natural grace, and the pragmatic body-hugging nature of her clothes (you do not want to have a long flowing robe get caught in a large clockwork apparatus) emphasize her young slender, slightly tomboyish body just in the right way.

Personality: Sadly none of the interested boys (or girls) has yet been able to find the right key to her heart. It seems as if she is (till now) almost oblivious to the meanings of the hidden or even open compliments given to her. Like a young budding cherry tree, she is at the brink of blossoming, opening up like a flower her petals for the sun. A sweet tease to all the bumblebees looking for nectar, to drink deep from the Calistrias and Shelyns blessings of love and lust. They have to wait... just a little while longer.

In 2 Sentences: A young optimistic merchant, always knowing an ode or saga about almost everything to be found anywhere. Knowledge and songs which she is just to willing to share

Ons: How would you know, what you are into, if you haven't even felt the need to look into it yet?
Offs: Violence, Smut ...

I'm deeply rooted in a culture with significantly different (much more direct) communcation strategies than typical for the extremely polite british or canadian cultures, or the "optimistic" approach often used in the USA. Additionally, I'm not neurotypical in several ways, warping my perception and communication to an even further degree.

So please, if you perceive my words as rude, my intentions as unemotional or just weird: ask me. I'm not always successful in my attempts to correctly guess the fluff and embellishments needed for successful communication. Not in my native german tongue, much less so in english. Please do not interpret them as bad intent, but feel free to ask for clarifications. I'll try my best to solve such misunderstandings, and learn to prevent them.

If it's not too late, I could give a paladin a try?

So now we know what Deckard Cain would be like as a 16 year old girl.  ;D "Ah, what you have there is a Thassalonian rune. stay a while, and listen..."

And a Paladin? Who said anything about a Paladin?

clonkertink

I dunno. I think it came up a couple pages ago in the thread. Don't really wanna go back and reread it. ;)

Also, hi Muse!

Okay, so in a few hours, I don't think it will be Friday in any part of the world.  Provided nothing new comes in, it should be a relatively short wait for the big announcement.

Okay, so we have the anticipated moment.  In some cases its been a bit of tough choice, since practically everyone brought concepts I'd like to explore.  Well, no point in stalling I suppose, other than to say no hard feelings on those who didn't make it.

Those who shall head off to forge destinies in the Land of the Linnorm Kings are:
You may now gather your party and venture forth to the OOC thread.

I would like to take the time to thank everyone else for their characters submitted and it was a genuinely hard time to choose between all of them as they all brought with them things that piqued my interest!
