Intrest Check: Exalted or Scion

Im kinda new here and I been looking for some active Exalted or Scion games.

I might be blind  8) but if I am please give me alink to such a game ;)


Anyway. Im considering to ST a Exalted or Scion game. (Id rather be playing as a char though)

What Im looking for is a plot driven system game, fast action and emphasises on roleplay (not rollplay), containing obvious sexual/sensual elements (But not Porn no Plot).

I know, rather vague... but its just a vague idea in my head still. What you people say will get it more solid if at all.

For Exalted: What sort of game?  Celestial or Terrestial?

For Scion: Starting as Heros? Demigods? Gods?[Just wondering cause with PbP games exp growth can be very slow]

Freeform.. setting wise.. or using the normal rules?

Exalted: Generally Celestial, mainly Solars but perhaps with a cast of Lunars and/or other Exalted who support them throughout their journey

Scion: Starting as Hero.

Setting would be canon, using normal rules, but focus would be roleplay, aka no rolling for silly things that could easly be managed, only full out combat and important tasks would be rolled.

Well, a Solar/Lunar mates intereaction would be interesting, I'd be interested in playing either part of that pairing.

A scion game would also interest me... and I'm sure to grab the e-book with the scion companion, the Tuatha De Dana are one of my favorite pantheons.

Actually what the hell... Im going to set up an Exalted game... will see how I can handle it with time and so and then perhaps start up a Scion game if enough players are still around.

Ok mainly it will take place in the East, among the Hundred kingdoms. Im going to have to study the books and so, otherwise Im just going to have to wing the settings.

Question now is what you people want to play, send me a pm or just post here what you would like to play, what you would like to see in the game and so on. So I can get a general feel for the group as it advances. Goals are a big thing for me, big and small ones for your character, Exalted games in my opinion is about the journey, inner and outer. Anyways, send away. As said Solars as core, Lunars, Gold Sidreals or even converted Dragonborn or Outcast works for me. I want chars that can work in a group. Doesnt have to be flawlessly working together.... but atleast wishing for it and seeing the advantage to stay together.

Hm...  I've yet to get satisfactory play out of Chocolate, and this is her stomping grounds.  Her or Shining Bright. 

Chocolate is a night caste courtesan/acrobat/theif trying to bring down the Guild's drug trade. 

Shinging Bright is a Zenith Caste Bride of Ahlat trying to free the Threshold from the Realm so that all peoples can pursue their traditional ways of life. 

I could come up with someone else instead. 

Do you mean for us to start as base charecters?

I'll probably dust off Raven, my ex-Ashigaru (Lookshy Special Forces) Night caste. A cocky, fast-talking rogue with an infectious devil-may-care attitude, a wicked sense of humour, and an eye for the ladies par excellence. His mouth may often get him into trouble, but his fists (or feet) will usually get him back out of it.

On the off chance you've ever read Nikolai Dante (2000AD comic strip), that's most or less the inspiration for this character.

Well, Shinging Bright is cool, but completly chaste (except for NC) except with Ahlat and his other brides.  (Where's the fun in that?  Unless an NC elemen or two showes up...)

If a Scion game gets up and running, I'd like to sign up as an investigative journalist scion of Tlazolteotl, the Aztec goddess of filth and corruption.  Basically, he exposes people's dirty secrets, using their suffering to honor the gods.

Eclipse, Night, Dawn seems to be taken at the moment. As Muse wishes to play the night.... rather hard for me to decide just like this

No the Zenith goals where -more- Compatible, didnt say they where -not- compatable.

If the players are up to it there will be NC oppertunities, in both directions

Just reading back through what you wrote earlier .. Sidereals? I haven't tried them in 2nd ed, but do you not find they tend to overshadow everyone else?

And as a stray thought, how about ronin Abyssals? I know the book isn't out yet, but I think it's due fairly soon.

I've not had much trouble with a loan sidereal in a celestial exalted game, and a hell of a hard time in 1E with a ronin abyssal in a celestial party. 

Just one guy's opinion.

Solare would be better off, the Night place -is- open now.....

Sidreal will be with a good concept there. The focus will mainly be Solar and Lunar, and they should work well in a group, abyssal is a nono in my eyes

On the off chance I was considering it, what's the view on the Eben Shadow martial art .. not so much from a style as the difficulty in finding a sensei?

Alright people the circle has been closed, Phunnie Bone gave me the answer I needed along with a char. I would all need you to answer the question I asked earlier. How you want the game to start out? In medias res... aka action from start and everyone already in a team, or start to work through the tying of knots to make you all work as a team?

Well, Fyrangel and I already started our shared backgrouns sometime last month.  If we do have a get to know each other event it should be a pretty fast one with a time cut off.

If we all started together I think we'd need some time to get acquainted. It would be awkward to assume that we've worked together for awhile but in reality not actually know how the other players think and act.
