Let's face it magic is awesome, and if magic was actually real you could bet that our economy and government would be based around it today. That being said this game is just that. The world is run by magic, the government is run by wizards, and when someone needs something done, they turn to the magic guilds to hire. This is where the players come in. The players will be a team of arcane casters within a guild and accept jobs from it, pretty straight forward.

Starting level 6, Classes restricted to Arcane casters (Bard, Wizard, Sorcerer, Witch, Magus, and Summoner) Multiclassing is fine as long as one of the classes is still arcane. Abilities will be a choice of 25 point buy, or 1d10+8 seven times, the top six becoming the stat array. Starting gold will be 12,000, however this will be a high magic game and magic items cost half as much, and no experience is used to make them.

Inspiration for this game did come from the show Fairy Tail.

I always counted Alchemist as "Arcane" caster's... Are they not? Most of they're formulae are Arcane Spells after all. They don't pray or make pacts with spirits or creatures.

And I always considered Summoner's "Divine" caster's... They commune with living spirits from other planes, like clerics and paladins (or they're own plane like druids). The elidion isn't something they just created. But something they made a pact with. Right?

I'm not sure what class I'd pick, if I decide to apply... But would not want to know all the choices. lol

Nah, just get a Necromancer of life that casts infernal healing, false life, vampiric touch, and if worse comes to worst, animate dead (and maybe restore corpse) to walk your corpse to the temple of [god of magic].

I've never played the magic side of things in Pathfinder, and don't know a lot about it, but would the majority of levels have to be in the arcane, or can it be about even... example, a 4th level ranger and a 2nd level druid? Or hell, 6 levels of druid?

I would like to have some ability with non-magical defense as spells eventually run out... If that's acceptible.

If i am reading the drscriptio right, we have to have at least on level of arcane caster. After all it is a mage guild not a casters guild.

I don't actually have any books and just use the srd, so my information may be different, but it clearly states that witches use arcane spells.

Anyway alchemists are arcane, but I never really thought of them as spell casters. However I guess they would fit in fine as their class features basically emulate spells.

Surprised no one has gone for a elemental bloodline sorcerer yet. You can easily recreate Gray or Natsu with fire or ice elemental specialty.

Healing in this game is going to be tricky, unless we are allowed to make healing potions and wands of the sorts, or just buy them.

My Lucy is already pretty buffy, so might as well go for something weird with the bard. I got bulls strength, haste, invisibility, and a flaming whip for added measure!

Go dragon bloodline, that way we have a hot head who is always getting the rest of us in trouble. We need a plot trigger character, and blowing shit up tends to do that.

After talking with Triggvi, I decided to go with the Sound Striker archetype.  He will have healing spells and be able to make ranged attacks without using weapons or spells (for 18 rounds at level 6).  He won't do as much damage as a 6th level wizard would, but he will be less squishy and be able to heal.  Besides, he'll be unique, and I look forward to playing him.  Will do a sheet this weekend after coordinating with Luna.

I don't see why there can't be two magus in a party. I can't tell you how many parties I've seen with doubled of some class or another. It's like saying that you can't have two fighters or two rogues in a party. ;)

I'm still looking at archetypes, but if doubled types is going to be an issue, no problem.

Personality: Melania is hot tempered, stubborn, and fierce, doing almost everything with a zeal. She is extremely protective of her guild and her friends, throwing her life on the line if needed. This tends to end up with Melania starting a good number of fights and, subsequently, causing extreme levels of property damage. Despite her temper, Melania is very intelligent and can analyze a combat situation to utilize the best tactics needed at the time. She loves to party and have fun, which is often a surprise to those who only know of her destructive nature.

Background: Melania Rouge is the daughter of Nyx Rouge, a retired archmage. Always living in her mother's shadow, Melania split her focus between martial and arcane studies, much to her mother's disgust. Why learn the blade when the spell is much more versatile and powerful. Still, if there was one thing Melania inherited from Nyx, it was her stubborn nature.
So Mel left her mother's tower and sought a master of the blade. Though he gave her no name, claiming to have given it up long ago, the swordsman taught Melania for five years after much pleading and challenging. Before her training could be completed, Melania caught wind of disturbing news, her mother's tower had simply vanished. There was suspicion of magic involved, of course, but few knew of such a powerful spell as to shift such a massive structure.
Melania joined the guild a bit after. Since then, she has proven herself a loyal, if somewhat hot tempered, member.

Since we're copying Fairy Tail anyway :P

I am interested in a Catfolk Synthesist Summoner. Figure what's more fun than a sly little kitty, who also happens to be able to summon Gundam-Armor and beat things up? (Gundam Armor negotiable, just a method of getting concept across.)

This would also help fill the con-sensitive "Frontliner" role, while still also being cha-based, as I get the whole "eidolon as armor" thing. Assuming none have explicit problems with a catfolk, else I could also go Vishkanya or Half-Elf.

You'd probably be better waiting until you have a caster level of 7 or better to take improved familiar. That's when most of the "fun" options open up.

I'm nearly done with the character, but the stats are:

Used the 1D10+8 system and got: 5, 6, 6, 7, 8, 9

Add in the racial bonus and 4th level boost and that's how the stats were generated.

I'm looking at going for a cold effect for the character's spells, although that's still in the air... should have it up sometime tonight.

Sure you can use this Element infused creature template like how the celestial, entropic, fiendish, or resolute animals are used from the improved familiar list.

I have a few questions- basically I am wondering if her fire resistances for race and bloodline stack? Also, do her +1 caster level to fire spells from her racial trait and her +1 caster level for evocations for her tattoo stack?

Fire resistance does not stack, but the caster levels would, so when casting a fire evocation spell it would have +2 to caster level.
