There is also the crew from Landau, Luckman and Lake to possibly bring into the Deadpool movies. And, Sandy, Outlaw (I think that was her name. She had blonde hair and wore the cowboy hat). Taskmaster was the best foil to Deadpool.

There was a news article about the possibility that the X-Force movie will also be R-rated. The Deadpool sequel would be an interesting vehicle to launch the X-Force movie. Have Cable and Domino show up in the sequel. There was also Garrison Kane from the comics too. Another possible villain they could use in Deadpool are the Juggernaut and BlackTom Cassidy.

Awesome, more R-rated stuff! I just hope they do well enough to continue justifying it. This should teach the studios that it's the people who grew up with the comics back in the day that are buying the damn tickets, not their imaginary demographic which only supplements the bigger films (like the MCU) on top of the core fans' dollars.

What a wonderful thing to wake up to first thing in the morning. Glad I'm wearing something I have to take off anyway.  ;D

It looks like they might be changing the rating for the last Wolverine movie to R. It looks like Deadpool has really changed to the game for the superhero movies. Apparently there is a rumor that Taskmaster almost made it into the Deadpool movie but was axed at the last minute, same apparently with trying to get a cameo by Wolverine? It would be great if they had Wolverine cameo in the Deadpool sequel, like a bar scene where they are drinking beers after having just fought a bunch of guys.

Wait, does that mean Fox owns the rights to Taskmaster? What kind of bullshit is that? He's not a damn mutant. He's also wasted as a character if he's only there to fight Deadpool. You'd have to first get a sense of how deadly he is against other really talented hand-to-hand fighters in order for Deadpool's inability to be copied to make sense and really make an impression. So unless they spent adequate time establishing Taskmaster in the film (not bloody likely) or set him up in a previous film, it wouldn't do him proper justice. But this news is troubling...now we may never see him in a Netflix series fighting Daredevil and/or Iron Fist...

If they hadn't let the rights to Daredevil slip away, that could have been a possibility. But I think there's no way it would be better than how things actually went down.

It's in the past, so we can only guess and wonder...

Ahh, Crazy Inez Temple but yes she is Outlaw. Juggy and Tom should wait, until Copy Cat runs her course and they actully decide if they want to bring in Siryn as a love intrest. I still can't see Logan and Wade sitting down to drinks unless they skip a shit load of history and immediatly run the X-Force that was little more then Scott's personal hit squad. To do that they also need to introduce Riochet Rita which should be done anyways...

No, Taskmaster isn't a mutant but neither is Deadpool... They might might use him just because of the history between him and Deadpool.

Issue with Ricochet Rita is that she is tied into Mojoworld as Spiral. Which opens up a whole bunch of doors, considering Shatterstar who was part of X-Force. From what it looks like, it will be the original X-Force with Cable and crew. The issue with Scott's X-force is it has characters who haven't been introduced into the movieverse yet like X-23 and a few others. And from the looks of it, Scott is currently still in his teen years as of the new X-men movie.

Taskmaster while not a mutant per say. He has incredibly enhanced reflexes and memory and memory muscle and mimcry. He could watch something on fast forward and perform the fight in the same speed. The only thing he can't do is swim. It is his only fear, drowning. He and Deadpool are rivals. Wasn't till the later Deadpool comics where Deadpool was working with Sandy that Taskmaster was sort of an ally. Plus, Taskmaster was with Sandy.

Well Deadpool's not a mutie but he's got their powers from experiments directly relating to that sort of genetics. And I just won a contest and got free Deadpool IMAX tickets! Whoo!

Apparently, some spoilers are being dropped for the upcoming movies via the ToyFair with the launch of toys for said movies. An article dropped a "hint/spoiler" for Captain America: Civil War regarding one of the characters.
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
If its true it will be a "supersized" surprise!

Update: It has been confirmed, Kurt Russell has been cast in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy sequel. But they still won't reveal who he is playing.

Apparently, there is a petition going around to get Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool to host Saturday Night Live!

I'd heard about that surprise in Civil War, was kinda hoping we'd see it later on down the line, but honestly, I'm not complaining. It seems like the only way to really make a formidable stance considering the firepower both sides have.

I approve of Kurt Russel's casting. Don't give a rat's ass who he's playing, just want to see him as part of the MCU.

So Reynolds would be in-costume as Deadpool, not as Ryan Reynolds but as Deadpool in all his glorious fourth-wall-breaking character? Again, I approve of this. I mean, how perfect would it have been if they'd waited to do that Black Widow fake trailer until another superhero was hosting? You could show Deadpool's back to the camera and he's obviously wanking himself to the trailer, but quickly stops and composes himself once he realizes the camera's back on him.

The more I hear about the Gambit movie the more I want to sigh and go "Why?". Apparently Channing Tatum is trying to adopt the character's Cajun accent and attempting to do card tricks.

There is also the possibility that Kurt Russell could be playing Corsair from the Starjammers. They're still keeping his character role under wraps.

They're still plowing ahead with that, huh? Well, I DID say that they should just lay off the Fantastic Four and stick to doing X-Men ensemble films and spinoffs, but...that didn't mean they shouldn't really put a great deal of thought into them before just throwing a dart at a poster on the wall. Gambit is my favorite character from the X-Men but I just don't see a whole movie where a single character is the focus (a la both Wolverine films) being special. You've got to have a really great gimmick like Deadpool to pull that off.

Isn't Corsair an X-Men property? If so, surely Fox could branch out into the cosmic side of the X-Men universe and do the Phoenix saga for REAL this time, and have all those Shii'ar and others make their appearance. Besides, isn't that one of the most popular arcs from the series?

Corsair probably falls into the grey area. Pretty he and the StarJammers have been forgotten about so Fox probably doesn't have the rights to them. But, I don't know. It would be in their best interest to, since Corsair/Christopher Summers is Cyclops and Havok's father. Though, I think he would be best suited for the Guardians of the Galaxy since that movie franchise focuses on space and the numerous aliens. Which would make sense to also bring the S'hiar into Guardians of the Galaxy as well instead of X-Men.

True enough, but did the Ravagers already exist or are they kind of a made-up thing just so the first GotG movie had legitimate Space Pirates? Adding another group, the Star Jammers, might not work out unless the next big problem requires the extra muscle now that the Nova Corps is decimated.

SapphireStar

From what I remember of the StarJammers, they were something more like honorable space pirates. They had been former slaves of D'Ken who at the time was ruling the S'hiar before L'landra. After they escaped, they banded together to basically hit any of D'Ken's forces. If they are going to continue exploring space, then it would be an interesting move to introduce the S'hiar under D'Ken's rule as they attempt to invade Earth.

I'm not sure if the Ravagers are an actual established group. The movies often create new groups, characters which exist within that movie universe only. With space being so vast, they have lots to explore in the movie universe. Like the Kree and Skrull, since it seems they are bringing in the Kree, next logical story would be to possibly do the Kree-Skrull war. If they want to go a horror route, there is the Brood and Phalanx.

Sasquatch421

They went and put the Ravagers into the 616 universe, but there's no mention of them elsewhere other then the cinematic universe of course. Probably because the only other Yondu is a core member of the Guardians in the 691 universe.

The way things have been talked about the sequel Deadpool still might not have a huge budget. Which could effect what they do... Given this is Fox however they will do anything they want anyways. Which I get steamed about from time to time, but then again I have been a fan of Marvel for over thirty years. Others may have read for longer or less, I can only speak for myself. Still knit picking the movie as well...

Just saw Deadpool today! Holy shitsnacks, what a rush! I would not mind seeing that shit again, but a director's cut, completely unrated, would probably be better still!

That pissed me the hell off when it got to the end credits scene. Deadpool's all, "Oh, we already spent all our budget money" and I was like, "Seriously? Then why the fuck didn't you a-holes just NOT render Colossus all in CGI throughout the entire movie and just pay some hulking Russian guy (doesn't even have to be that great of an actor, obviously) and only bring in the CGI when in combat? That would have saved some money, right?" Unless paying an actor would have cost too much (not bloody likely). At least they did drop some nice tidbits though, it was worth staying through the credits and that semi-annoying song (would have been WAY better as a mid-credits scene, though. Fox needs to take a fucking leaf out of Marvel's handbook.)

What the fraggin' frak? How can they seriously balance the big 3 (only one of which has even had an introduction yet) AND Aquaman and wife? If I win free tickets again or something, I might see it in theaters, but damn, they're making me nervous about the lineup from here on. Their potential to alienate fans if they blow it isn't just going to affect the future of the DCCU, but will contribute to superhero fatigue in general. Deadpool just proved that a relatively small budget fueled by tremendous passion for the material by those involved in production (and having the balls to go hard 'R' rated) is good enough to essentially give a 10:1 return on the investment. I just wish we'd see this more often and not see such superficially desperate corporate interference. Although, I do like to know about this kind of stuff ahead of time, so I know to be careful about whether to shell out the ticket price. I'm seriously curious to see what the reviews are going to be like, but I've found that more often than not lately, most of my favorite youtube channels that review films don't always agree with me so I can't reliably take their word for it.

Unrated directors cut just like Spawn right? It would be neat to see what got left on the cutting room floor.... Though I might have to slightly disagree on the end credits scene simply because I love Ferris Bueller way to much. With Colossus I kept expecting a "More you know" thing to appear when he spoke. If they had cut one of his scenes possibly Negasonic Teenage Wasteland could have used her powers one last time? Though her powers are totally different in the comics, but she was a minor character.

Song? Not talking bad about the almighty Salt N Pepa are we? I'm teasing though I will agree with the Stan Lee cameo... I enjoyed it greatly!

They've got how much to fit into that? I think they are trying for to much too fast honestly. We're going to all get burnt out at this rate and there are others out there... Like Witchblade or Dawn? Now that I think about it what about a movie about The Darkness? Plus dealing with introducing villains? That's the biggest thing in my opinion.... You get get hero's with all that backstory, but the baddies get crap. Like how much introduction will Apocalypse get? Marvel or Fox could do two or three movies introducing Cable and Apocalypse. Heck probably a movie on it's own going over the fights between Clan Akkaba and Apocalypse against Dracula and his minions...

Exactly. They're jumping the gun big-time with this. Two major villains (Luthor and Apocalypse, and that's only what we know about), Wonder Woman is giving us no good indication about just how much screen time she'll have, between posing as a civilian and being in full battle garb and throwing down, and now both Aquaman and Mera, evidently, which hasn't even been hinted at in any of the trailers. Batman and Superman is already plenty, any extraneous heroes is just asking for this to become over-bloated. Maybe if all we saw was the actors playing their alter-ego characters or them before they obtain their powers (like Victor Stone before becoming Cyborg, apparently, from what I hear.) Then they can suit up in the mid- and/or after-credits scene(s).

In a perfect world, here's how things would go down to make sense:

1. Man of Steel
2. The Batman (I don't think any of the movies has used 'the' in the title before, so...)
3. Wonder Woman
4. Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice
5. Suicide Squad (by now the universe-building will have had momentum, at least with the solo Batman movie; though I would question how this is going to play out considering the caliber of the rest of the lineup)
6. The Fastest Man Alive (imitating the style of 'Man of Steel', not actually using the title character's name)
7. King of Atlantis (again, not actually using Aquaman's name)
8. Green Lantern Corps
9. Justice League Part 1
10. Cyborg (play this universe's technology up a bit more, also introduce Steel and maybe a few other tech-based heroes)
11. Shazam (play up the whole magic angle, maybe bring in Zatanna, Dr. Fate, or a few other prominent magic-based heroes)
12. Martian Manhunter (the last of the cosmic-based heroes, perfect since the villain Darkseid is of similar space-based origin)
13. Justice League Part 2

Are we taking bets how long it will be before we start seeing a bunch of hardcore R rated comic films? After the huge success that is Deadpool one or two critics (And I am not talking about Youtube reviewers) I have seen are expressing concern.

They fear that people will only see that making a comic movie R rated will be the next big milestone since the Avengers and try to make a movie with the rating without bothering to take a minute and to consider it was basis of Deadpool's character that made it great and not the fact it was R.
