Stranger on a train. M for F

You are riding on a train to visit your wealthy but former inlaws.  They are very wealthy and you want to see them as their son, your husband had died under mysterious circumstances.  The stranger next to you rambles on about a person who fits your husbands description.  But not by the things she is saying about him.  After a small chat she gathers even more info but she still can't be sure.  You just get a phone call from your inlaws that said your fatherinlaw was in the hospital and she would be there.  You tell her you will be there by morning.  After a while you are eager for more information about this person and suddenly he realizes due to your call he overheard that you need a place to stay.  You agree so you can find out more info.

Is this the person behind her husbands murder who now is after your fortune?  Is her deceised husband the one that he is talking about.  Does she fall for him in either case?  Is she held captive?  All up for discussion.
