Current Craving:

Generic Sci-f/Mass Effect Fandom

In the Line of Duty (FxF)

So this is mostly an idea based on the romance pairing in ME3 of Fem-shepard and Ensign Traynor. As my favourite way to play Shepard is as a soldier I particularly like the idea of this kind of pairing. Between a highly trained commando in peak physical condition and a more rear-echelon science and support type who is wicked smart and that's why she is in the military. Realistically she is too valuable to be given a rifle and treated like a grunt. I would love to play a pairing of this kind, with myself as the solider and my partner as the science officer. Really play up the idea of polar opposites.

The marine character (MC) would be very direct, forward and a take risks and assume the initiative type. Where as the science officer (YC) would be more reserved, demure. Perhaps even unsure and apprehensive about giving orders, especially orders that might lead to people dying.

Now there are a few different possibilities that this pairing could play out, power dynamics wise and also setting wise. And because I only really see one character in this pairing being combat oriented the actual rp will be more about the daily life at base and aboard starships, with some action thrown in if we want to jazz it up. MC goes into the fires of battle and it's YC's job to make sure she has what MC needs to survive.

The first option is to play a similar pairing as the game. With a human alliance marine, maybe a commando and one of her support personnel. Not a front line fighter but maybe an engineer, pilot or data analyst. My character could be an officer, like a lieutenant or captain, and yours an ensign or even junior enlisted. YC is completely overwhelmed, even intimidated by MC's physical power and general authority over her, and that excites both characters quite a bit. Lots of late night reports turning into impromptu date nights and remedial physical training.

The flip side could be that MC is junior to yours. MC might be a little more than a corporal or sergeant leading a team of marines on dangerous assignments, and YC is a Lieutenant responsible for planning and analyzing the data that chooses those assignments. MC might salute yours in public, but it quickly becomes clear behind closed doors who is giving orders and who is obeying them.

Whether this is a more generic sci-fi setting or set in the mass effect world, i'm open to it. If it was set in Mass effect I think it would be cool to have it during the reaper invasion. Adds those extra elements of adrenaline, stress, relief and loss. Also its the type of setting to push two lovers together, in the face of total annihilation, overwhelming enemy firepower, where every deployment could be your last. You probably wouldn't wait to long before making your move on the girl that catches your eye. Who cares if she's below you or above you, an officer or enlisted. It's literally now or never.

I do want to play this as a FxF pairing. Not FxFu or FxM. Strictly FxF.

These are the inspirational images of my character. NSFW

Warhammer 40k ideas

Commoragh

As for the 40k side we are going to mix up the roles a bit.

The kabal of the Darth Oath (which is totally a name I pulled out of my ass. If you can think up a better name for a dark eldar Kabal please be my guest) is a Minor kabal in Commoragh. Like almost every kabal it is known for the extravagent and unpredictable behaviour of it's archon, as well as the rigid and brutal initiation rights of it's kabal warriors. But only one of those facts will actually apply to us for the start of the RP.

We are both freshly raised Kabal warriors. One male and one female. The main difference in being how we both came to be at this point. My character is a half-born. One of the billions birthed in gestation tubes which has become the norm within drukhari society for the last ten millenia. Unlike most dark eldar I am spared from a life of slavery and unimaginable torment and given a chance at being the tormentor instead.

Your character is a Trueborn. A true rarity in Dark Eldar society. Conceived via natural conception and properly birthed into existence from a real womb. From that moment you were placed on a pedestal and given advantages unthinkable to most half-borns.

Together we are Kabalite warriors that are assigned to the same squad. Like all Drukhari it does not take us long to grow to resent our Sybarite leader and plot to usurp him. As a Trueborn you would have the rights to lead should the Sybarite fall. But you instead have other ideas. In my character you see someone you can manipulate. Someone you can work and bend to your will. Someone to use as a stepping stone, and enforcer of your will. But the trick would be making him think that you are 'his' ally and working for 'his' betterment.

It would not take long for you to try and develop a relationship of some kind with MC. Promising all the perks of Trueborn life in exchange for just a few small favours. We train together, fight together and look out for each other. And when the time does come for the Sybarite to fall you do not step forward as leader, but rather push MC into the spotlight. Thinking you have solved three problems in one fell swoop. First, you have someone wrapped around your finger with promises of pleasure and riches, so you are effectively in command of the squad and can wield it as an extension of your power. And since you are not the sybarite no one will try and assassinate you, just me. And you can always keep our relationship moving for as long as it is convenient to you.

Here in the only problem. My character knows you are doing all of this. He might be a half-born but he isn't a half-wit. He is drukhari same as everyone else around him. That means he has the same sense of paranioa and a constantly scheming mind and he knows exactly what you are intending to do because if the roles were reverse he would be doing the exact same thing. He is just playing along for the time being. Pretending to be the enamored and enslaved male. Because to him you are simply a means to an end. As as long as he can milk the advantages and wealth that you as a Trueborn can provide, you are as equally important to him for survival.

Now this will go far beyond just being Kabalite warriors. There are many stations we can rise to. And many paths we can take. The fractal nature of dark eldar society gives us options for what kind of characters we want. Personally I would enjoy us becoming succubi & inccubi respectively. Or maybe we B-Line it for the Archon's throne and work to raise the status of the Dark Oath kabal from the lower slums to the highest spires of the city.

Now despite this being an rp that really just boils down to us trying to manipulate each other, I do hope that some amount of endearment will bloom between our characters.

Idea 2:

I do have a second pairing for this. This one would be between a wych and a newly raised dracon.

The basics, much like the first idea are based on kabal politics. Where my character would be a newly elevated Dracon, like any Drukhari officer his position of authority is ever tenuous. Even at its most stable he holds it only so long as he continues to earn the favour of his Archon and hold the machinactions of his underlings at bay through fear and bribery, which by the skin of his teeth he is succeeding at for the time being.

But he is also looking to expand his web of influence and one of the easiest ways to do so is by making allies outside of the kabal. In the scourge eyries, hellion gangs, pain covens and the wych cult the kabal sponsors. One of the problems he frequently encounters while reaching out to potential allies is that they are distrustful and unwilling to attach themselves to someone only newly elevated to his position, anyone who could be assassinated tomorrow by a more powerful rival might then come after any allies he had. This uncomfortable truth has lead this dracon to re-evaluate his plans and attempt something more unorthodox and long term. Making friends in lower places and doing what he can to elevate them, and in turn himself in time.

This plan of sowing the seeds for a long term harvest leads the dracon reaching out to a young wych, barely a debutaunte (a newly inducted member of the cult), but importantly she is a cult member without allies and protection of her own. Two things that would see her dead sooner rather than later. Her own instability within the cult makes her a perfect target for the dracon's schemes, and thus he summons her to him to offer a bargain. She agrees to be his concubine and future ally within the cult. In return he offers her personal sponsorship and the protection offered by his position against from any future rivals. Doing what he can to aid her in climbing the cutthroat ladder of the cult's byzantine hierarchy. Of course in return, when he needs her aid and protection in the future she must provide it without hesitation.

This will be a story of mutual distrust, of both surviving assasination attempts and planning a few of their own. Conducting realspace raids and navigating the mind bogglingly complicated world of Drukhari politics. After all, he has his eyes on the archon's throne, and she desires nothing less than to rise to the ranks of the succubi! Of course, drukhari being who they are, the wych's duty as concubine will mean things will go waaay beyond a PG rating.

For the dracon i'm happy to entertain the idea of playing a male or female dracon.

Side notes Regarding all ideas posted here:

-Pretty much all details are open to ideas and adjustments if you want to put something forward. The worst I can say is no, but I am pretty open to most things.

-If you have any questions in general about the current idea(s) just fire away. I find that once my ideas are written down and posted they aren't nearly as refined as I thought they were. So everything is open to ideas and interpretation.

-I try with grammar I do, and I hope you do as well. But I am not a Nazi by any means and hope you will not be one in return. I make mistakes, shit happens. If by chance you are perfect and never make grammatical mistakes well than good on you, I am not one of those people and I would appreciate to not be looked down upon because of it. small reminders are nice every now and again if I completely and utterly butcher the English language. But not every little mistake.

-Length of posts I am very reasonable on as well. I understand there is not always enough to talk about to fill three paragraphs. And I hate it when people just type random things for the sake of filling space. I would rather have a single paragraph that speaks volumes than four filler paragraphs that say nothing.

-Details, How do things taste, Feel, sound, How do certain people and situations make your character feel. The little things they do like lick their lips, Flutter their lashes, Their breathing becomes shallower, Heavier, Whatever the case may be I hope you get my point. I drop the ball on this at times as well but I do try and I usually make the effort to go back and edit my posts to include many of the smaller details that I missed previously.

-The kinks and level of intensity desired changes with each idea. Some are much tamer and others are a little more extreme. If you express and interest and PM me with the Pairing listed in your subject line than I can Pm you a list of the kinks desired for that particular RP. And you can see if they match your own desires. Like the specifics of the RP itself the kinks can be negotiated but you may find I am a little firmer on which ones I definitely want to keep and what I am willing to part with.

-Really just check my preferences for what I like or am currently looking for, Or just ask. Nothing to lose by asking.

-If you don't like something that is happening in the RP, The direction it is taking, Feel it's to slow (I have been told I progress slowly at times) Or to fast or whatever. Tell me, we can either fix it or part ways. I am a big boy and I can take a criticism. Provided it is a criticism and not an insult or bitching. there is a difference.

-General note. I am not big into MxM. I have tried it a few times. And it's just not my thing. if you want a sexual MxM story or was thinking of adjusting one of the characters into a male or adding one for a threesome than sorry.

-For these stories, if they include D/s elements I will be looking to play the dominant.
Hi i'm a polymorphic alien who has taken the form of this signiature to have sex with your pupils, and by the smile on your face I can tell your enjoying it.

Star Wars Ideas

Each of these ideas will be compressed into shorter descriptions than I usually give for the sake of space and not having a huge fucking text wall. I personally envision most of these happening in the old republic eras. The cold war, Revan, Pre revan etc. Not that i'm opposed to discussing other time periods, but old republic is my favourite :)

Mercenary x Scientist

The bounty hunter (MC) -

http://i.imgur.com/c2bk0m4.jpg

https://i.pinimg.com/originals/98/52/ae/9852ae2fb4d07331136b569548bd39d5.jpg

Not too complicated of a premise. Your character is a respected member of her field of study. Most likely her knowledge and research are considered invaluable to the republic war effort. Your understanding of technology or medicine is saving thousands if not tens of thousands on the front lines against the sith. Of course this does not make you popular with the sith, to whom you have gone from a curious annoyance to a great inconvenience.

But despite their tendancy to give into their emotions, The Sith are surprisingly patient and dangerously cunning. Through the stellar efforts of Imperial intelligence They found your vessel while you were on route to one of the republics supposedly most secure labratories. Your labratory.

Even though you are travelling in an armed frigate with escorts it does not take much to overwhelm your defences. Though the Sith would clearly benefit from your death and seem very willing to kill you if necessary, they have also deployed boarding pods and shuttles. They mean to capture you, your team and hopefully as much of your research as they can for themselves.

Amongst the soldiers and interrogators sent to secure the ship and it's crew there are a select few bounty hunters also on the job. One of whom is specifically tasked with finding you, and capturing you if possible.

As he butchers his way through the ship to find your hiding spot it becomes clear the the republic will not give up it's secrets or it's scientists willingly. Most escape pods are being shot down or tractor beamed to prevent possible assets from escaping. But your pod has been delayed, a few republic soldiers hope that they can self destruct their ship and use the explosion as a temporary distraction to keep the escape pod from being noticed by sensors or the human eye.

The few soldiers left defend your pod with courage and zeal that would make any commander proud. But ultimately their numbers start to dwindle. By the time the bounty hunter enters they are nearly all dead.

What happens next is a blur, The Sith were aware the republic might try to self destruct the vessel but they figured they had more time to stop it. All the bounty hunter remembers is that he became engaged in a fist fight with one particularly stubborn republic officer. The other sith soldiers were too wary to fire on the officer because they could see you huddled in the escape pod and their lives would be forfeit if they missed their shot and hit you instead.

As the scuffle intensified the more the countdown marched down it's unyeilding path towards zero. What the bounty hunter does remember is that He had the republic officer pinned by the throat on the floor of the escape pod and was about to empty his pistol into his battered face when he blacked out.

How long he was out for he couldn't say. But when he woke up his head felt like two continents colliding and there was a sharp pain in his neck. When he reached to touch it he felt something cold and metallic. Adrenaline kicked in and his eyes adjusted to the interior of the pod. There was the officer. Battered and bruised but still alive. The eye that wasn't swollen over was glarring daggers at him. He clearly wanted him dead and the bounty hunter couldn't fathom why he wasn't indulging himself.

But there is also the doctor. If he had any guess she was the reason he was alive right now. But again he couldn't fathom why until it was explained to him. The diversion to self destruct the frigate and mask the escape pod's movements worked. He just happened to be on board when it fired. The doctor knocking him out during his fight and she equipped him with the very shock collar he was given to ensure her compliance and submission as a prisoner by the sith. He could appreciate the grim irony of the situation.

They crash landed on one of the worlds below the conflict but the Sith were already landed troops and scouring the surface for their location. It was a race against time. The sith were blockading the planet and preparing for the inevitable republic counter attack. Once they learned one of their brightest minds was in danger of being captured they would use all the resources they could to recover her.

But it was also only a matter of time until the good doctor was found. And now she needed the bounty hunter's help to help keep out of sight of the sith long enough for the republic rescue fleet to arrive, or to help escape off the surface first. And to ensure the bounty hunter's compliance she gave herself control over the shock collar. If he tries to betray them she will overload it and kill him. And it was already designed to explode if forcibly removed by it's wearer.

Jedi Knight x Padawan

https://img00.deviantart.net/bf71/i/2016/122/f/5/master_and_apprentice_by_alishmcmalish-da11aqq.jpg

This one is simple, the age old Jedi master x padawan pairing. But I really, really like these two characters. Both of them are just excellent and brimming with potential.

For example I see the padawan (the one of the left) as perhaps taken when she was older than normal. In her mid teens, and perhaps saved by my character's old master. I view her as coming from a harsh planet ridden with poverty. Perhaps she was working as a whore, a petty thief with a seemingly endless bag of luck (the force) and intuition. Her old life and habits, even personal dress and decorum (the non-regulation hair) are still very much a part of who she is, not having been raised in the serenity of the Jedi temple. Never the less she was discovered, partly by chance by myself, and my master who detected her force sensitivity after a brief run-in (perhaps she tried to steal from my character, not recognizing a Jedi or not thinking one would ever come to her world.) lifted her out of poverty and offered her a new life.

My character's old master who has since dissapeared into the outer rim shortly after granting my character full Jedi knighthood some years later. Your character may not have known this immediately as she was going through an accelerated training regime as is typical with older candidates, and padawan to another master.  But when news finally does reach the Jedi temple that a particular Jedi master has gone missing near the edge of the galaxy his former pupil and protege is alerted. Knowing that the bond between a master and pupil is never truly severed, regardless of ones elevation through the ranks of the order. He is believed to be the most capable individual to track down the missing master of the order.

In comes your character who has heard of the disappearance and is determined to offer her help. Her training is still unfinished and her master definately does not consent to her appeals and reasoning to abandong her training and join a galactic manhunt. She is still very much untrained and likely to get herself into extreme danger. Not ever one to sit idle or hold her opinions to herself however, the padawan sneaks herself into the ship of the Jedi knight mere hours before its takeoff.

From here I figure there would be a fun moment where she is forced to reveal herself, but only after she is certain they travelled far enough to ensure that turning around again to drop her off would be a waste of valuable time. She will probably lie, offer some tripe about being assigned as my characters padawan for the journey and that she is there on orders from the council. Which would quickly fall apart once My character calls the council to verify.

We can discuss further specifics of that conversation but in the end my character would relent and agree to let her accompany him. Both because taking her back to the temple would waste time and if she was this determined she would probably run off and find a way back to the outer rim anyway. But she would have to agree, unconditionally to be his padawan and obey his instructions as her master without question. The result is a learning experience for both of them, as she now has to learn how to behave like a Jedi as she no longer represents just herself by her actions. But the whole reputation of the order, And my character has to become an instructor years earlier than he intended to, and under less than ideal conditions to say the least.

The mission the two are on could span months of in-game time. Maybe a few years as they diligently search for the former master and any clues about the means of his dissapearance.

Sith Master x Apprentice

The Sith Empire has conquered another world. Tore through it's pitiful defences and brought it's population to it's knees. They quickly established their dominance over the locals through a series of harsh resistance crack downs. For a while executions were a near daily occurance but have calmed down. The locals still resent Imperial rule and still plot to contact the republic and overthrow their tyrant masters.

One plot in particular is in motion. It is a bold move but it is one that the resistance believes is worth the risk. The Republic has regrouped and is now fighting it's way back to reclaim the lost world. Both the resistance and the sith forces know this. The resistance wants to Eliminate the Sith lord in charge of the defences. Weakening the command structure and the blanket of fear and ominous power he represents.

As the Republic assault begins so does the Resistance's strike. It was a valiant effort and it certainly threw the Sith forces into a panicked confusion once they started being shot from behind as well as from the front. Unfortunately for the resistance A Sith warrior is not an easy target. And even with the element of surprise it takes more than blasters and a few grenades to bring one low.

As the dust settles and most of the resistance fighters are being butchered, the sith lord assess the damage of this attack. Despite the futility of trying to kill a sith. The panic caused by the assault on his position and the lives it claimed succeeded in weakening the Sith line. They needed to fall back. He saw the familiar green and blue hues and the distinctive hum of a lightsaber and knew the jedi had arrived to reinforce the assault.

He gives the command to retreat but not before stopping over the unconcious body of one of the resistance fighters. A young woman. Bruised and battered now but otherwise very pretty. But she also has something else about her. An aura much like those being emitted by the jedi rapidly approaching his position. Much like his own, But more wild and untamed. He stops one of his troopers from executing her where she lay and orders that she be taken with them.

Sith x Slave

This one borrows heavily from SWTOR.

http://img10.deviantart.net/a7bb/i/2011/356/a/5/the_old_republic_sith_juggernaut_by_tygodym-d4juld2.jpg

Use that picture as inspiration. I want to play a sith warrior opposite a twi'lek (or really any alien) slave. She will not be a slave picked at random to accompany him. She would have been caught for smuggling or some other crime that happened to be conducted within the borders of Imperial space. But she has a scrap of knowledge or a special skill that can prove invaluable, so she hasn't been killed or tortured.

She also happens to be scrapper. And more than a little sarcastic despite her perdicament of being imprisoned and subsequently enslaved.

MC will take an interest to her. Maybe he finds her rebellious nature amusing and refreshing compared to the average Imperial citizen who simply kowtows whenever he enters a room. Maybe he takes it upon himself to try and break that rebellious spirit. Seeing it as a challenge he cannot refuse.

Regardless, MC will own YC. And they will travel together on all manner of adventures.

Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Sith x Apprentice (2)

This is a more standard take where the Sith Temple will assign MC to take on an apprentice. The sith structured differently during the years of the cold war and around Revan's time. So it wasn't that unusual to see force sensative individuals assigned to a master. Often they were only discovered because they were captured/purchased as slaves and their force sensativity was discovered soon after. Some however come from strong families with a history of eugenics style breeding that lead to force sensitive dynasties.

That is how I want to start this pairing. YC would be a released slave who is now being given the chance to be the oppressor. Or a haughty silver spooned noble forced to bow and scrap as a meagre apprentice, barely above a slave. However she came to his service, with the right guidance and the careful cultivation of her emotions she could become powerful indeed.

There are other hurtles to overcome of course. Barring the rare exception and specifically what era we set this in, the Empire is a realm built on the ideals of human supremacy. The sith do not turn away force sensitive aliens, they are put through the same trails as any other acolyte. But they will always carry the stigma of being an alien and have to work twice as hard as a result.

possible apprentice character- http://jannetincosplay.com/img/s9/v16/p1703006870-4.jpg

Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
Sith x Apprentice (3)

Another variation of a fairly simple pairing. Where the apprentice in question is a former padawan whose master was killed by the very Sith lord she now serves. Did she enter his service willingly? does she mourn the death of her old master or celebrate her new found freedom to indulge her desires both subtle and gross? Then of course it's the question of how she views her new lord and master. Is he a liberator or a monster, an obstacle for her to overcome on her own path to power or a lover and master to be forever obeyed?

Jedi knight x Sith apprentice

This idea is the inverse of the above plot. Instead of a Sith corrupting a jedi to the dark side, what happens when a sith apprentice is given a chance at redemption? Her master is dead and sith honour demands she slay the jedi responsible. Perhaps she listens to jedi reasoning when he says he does not wish to fight her. He offers her a chance at a new life in the republic and the jedi order. Initially she might only accept the off because the alternative is death and she figures she can bide her time and strike at the heart of the jedi by gaining their trust.

Or perhaps she tries to kill the jedi and fails, is seriously injured and falls unconcious but is saved by the jedi at the point of death. Taken back on board his ship and healed she is then offered her second chance. Perhaps her personal code of honour demands a form of life-debt towards this jedi who saved her. She may not like it but her culture demands it.

Obviously this seems to be a MxF game but it can easily be FxF. and i'm open to playing either role here, though I lean towards wanting to be the jedi.

https://www.deviantart.com/hifarry/art/Commission-Zabrak-Sith-Warrior-Vay-834204297 I would love for someone to play this character as the apprentice, but of course it's your character.

Jedi x Trooper

I want this idea to be set well into the midst of the Great galactic civil war. When Tensions were at their highest and Sith were just as plentiful as the jedi. In particular the Story is between a Jedi Padawan and a Republic trooper, a sergeant of The Republic military squad/platoon. I am looking for this pairing because I want to explore some interesting differences. Perspectives of a galactic war from someone raised under the jedi code working alongside a ‘commoner’ for lack of a better word. As a Jedi she has a very different view on the war. She raised in a temple on mostly pacifist values, with arguably the best quality education in the galaxy being offered to her from childhood.

By contrast he is of a more common upbringing. The kind that people all over the Republic are familiar with in one form or another. Prospects for the future were likely more limited and his homeworld may have even been effected by the conflict. Enlisting would have been one of his only options at the time from a young age. And being raised into adult-hood while in uniform does colour ones opinions just as strongly as being raised in a jedi temple. Albiet in a different direction.

Differences of opinion may lead to arguments and outright shouting. But It is also the reason they stay together. Opposites attract. Because as much as The soldiers black and white views might seem simple and crude to the jedi, they exist because of a wealth of personal experience have somewhat jaded him. Those same experiences made him into a man of honour and discipline. In many ways the ideal Republic soldier.

And the Jedi’s constant desire for more peaceful solutions even when they are clearly improbable and their mantra of emotionless serenity can easily piss other people off who are trying to deal with them, people who are subject to those emotions that the jedi look down upon and find the jedi more than a little patronizing and self righteous to the point of arrogance.

For a basic plot to start us off I see both of our characters on a planet in the outer rim of the galaxy. On a world currently teetering on the brink of civil war between those who want to stay in the Republic and those who want to strike out on their own and seceed. No shots have been fired yet but there have been ugly brawls in more than a few cantinas.

The Republic sent a jedi master(your characters master) and their padawan to the planet in the hopes that they might help act as a mediator and beacon of calm wisdom in opposition to the heated tempers of Republic and Seperatist diplomats.

When the situation finally reached the boiling point the Republic wasn't nearly as prepared as the seperatists. The fighting was impossible to reign back and the situation devolved quickly. As quickly as the Republic reinforcements came there was an imperial strike fleet only minutes behind. Claiming that they arrived in response to a request for aid from the seperatist. Officially they do not engage Republic forces directly but claim to be responding to said humanitarian cry for help by offering aid and supplies to the bewildered locals and to support and stand up for their independence.

From there is where my character makes his appearance. Republic special forces was bound to send a team in as soon as the Imperials made an appearance. Gods only know what they want or why they chose to risk the ceasefire by appearing over this world. But the Republic will find out and they will stop whatever scheme they invariably set in motion on the surface.

My Idea of the Trooper-

http://swg.ucoz.ru/_fr/2/0611919.jpg

Sith x Imperial officer

To anyone who has played SWTOR and the Black talon flashpoint, this will be pretty familiar to you. i've replayed it recently and thought of how interesting of a story it could make with a few tweaks. For those unfamiliar with what i'm talking about. The setup is something like this.

An Imperial corvette, The warspite is just getting ready to leave dock and continue on it's mission to rendevous and join it's new fleet assignment, Only to have recieved a sudden and unexpected command to abandon it's current orders, take on a new, unannounced passenger and prepare to intercept and engage a much larger and more dangerous republic warship. The captain of the warpsite protests, he is a good man with a strong, if unexciting service record who believes this assignment will only lead to the destruction of his ship and waste many imperial lives. Unfortunately the 'surprise passenger' taken on board is a sith. One who is brooking no excuses and no delays. This sith muscles their way onto the bridge to demand an explanation as to why the Warspite isn't already jumping to hyperspace, and when the captain voices his concern in person he is executed almost immediately by the sith for cowardice.

Now the bridge is in chaos, the captain is dead, many junior officers are stuck between terror and confusion and the shipboard marines have no idea if they should be kneeling in deference to the sith or attempting an arrest. One thing is clear, the sith is still angry and demanding that someone, anyone with a spine to take command and carry out his orders. This is a chance one of the senior lieutenants pounces on, not just because it means they finally get their first command. But this lieutenant (if they play their cards right) can earn the respect and approval of a Sith. Having the gratitude of such a potentially powerful patron can be highly rewarding in the empire. The Sith, in turn are always looking for loyal officers with high (exploitable) ambitions and a ruthless streak to rival a master of the dark side. And such a working relationship can continue well beyond just one assignment.

This pairing could be MxF, FxF. I originally though of it with a female officer and a male sith. But it could be either.

Trooper X Trooper
This pairing is pretty vague and can be set in almost any era and faction within the universe. But basically the idea of ordinary troopers being put together in a special forces squad. Either as new members joining an existing unit or building/rebuilding a decimated one from the ground up. The purpose of this division can be anything really. It could be formed by republic/sith command simply as a response to a rapidly escalating conflict on a specific world/system and the entire rp takes place in one protracted and grueling campaign of conquest/rebellion.

Or more of a rapid response and assault team. Rapidly moving from warzone to warzone wherever they are needed or whenever a sufficiently high value target rears their head. This can be a crack republic assault team in the style of havoc squad. Or a imperial infiltration and suppression unit. Formed to hunt down dissidents, put down rebellions by assassinating their leadership, and combating their own republic special forces counterparts, etc, etc.

This idea can be MxF, or FxF and as I said, i'm open to brainstorming as it can be in any era and any faction really. Though I do prefer older eras and legacy cannon. Mandolorian wars, revanite wars, hyperspace war, etc. Or something based even earlier than that.

Jedi x Slave

Now bear with me on this one. Obviously this wont be a story about a jedi owning a slave, but what does a jedi do when they are sent to a blighted world like nar shadda, or into the lower levels of couresant itself to carry out an assignment. Pacifism and academic ideals will only take you so far and earn you little respect in places where life is cheap and absolutely any vice can be indulged for the right price, no matter how depraved or disturbing.

The jedi could be looking for someone specific, tasked with taking down a particular gang or just finding something really valuable, valuable enough that the jedi council couldn't trust its recovery to the army or Security & intelligence services.

In such a place which is the anathema of everything a jedi stands for he would need a guide. Someone who knows the lay of the land. Who can be bribed and who shouldn't be trusted, etc. Perhaps while attempting (and failing) to find people willing to talk in a local cantina the jedi is approached by one of the dancers/bar girls. After pulling him into one of the back rooms she makes him an offer. She can be his underworld guide and do her best to help him with whatever his job is. But her price is her own freedom. He can buy her, liberate her, whatever. But if he get's her out of slavery and takes her back with him to the upper levels or offworld entirely. She'll do anything and everything she can.

Jedi x Scoundrel

This idea would have many of the same story beats as the jedi x slave pairing. Only in this story the council thought ahead and instead of sending one of their own into a strange world they cannot hope to navigate alone, they hired someone to act as that guide.

Now 'Scoundrel' is a pretty broad description. This person could be a stereotypical star wars smuggler captain with their own ship, an outwordly greedy soul with a heart of gold. A hard blooded merc/ mandolorian who has experience on the world or actually knows something about the person/thing the jedi are after. or someone the jedi meets early in their travels and agrees to help, partly out of boredom, partly for the challenge, and partly for the considerable fee they were promised.

Jedi x resistance

Trooper x resistance

Intelligence agent x Scoundrel

Imperial Intelligence has always been given a broad mandate to 'ensure the internal security and stability of the Empire'. How it's agents accomplish this feat is varied. What is known is that the Empire's intelligence network puts the Republic's to shame. Partly because they have no moral quams about making great sacrifices and using tactics so despicable they would shatter the minds of their SIS counterparts. For those unfamiliar with this particular organization, a comparable institution might be the Spectres from mass effect.

Field agents are given near complete legal immunity to do whatever they have to do to ensure the Emperor's will is done. It's not just a liscence to kill, it's a liscence to terrorize, murder, torture, lie, cheat, steal and seduce their way to victory. They can also hire or recruit anyone they believe could be a potential asset.

For example, Rather than execute the blood thirsty pirate who destroyed three military transports and tortured dozens of imperial sailors. Why not capture him and offer to hire him instead? Pay him a paltry tribute and set a deranged murderer loose on the republic. It's a win-win.

So let's create a story with an II agent and one such low life scum they recruit to their cause. How are they recruited? Well that's a great question with several fun possibilities. But not nearly as important as why they are recruited. The answer to either will require a good deal of brainstorming.

intelligence agent x Scoundrel

Basically the republic sided version of the above story. Substitute all references of 'Imperial intelligence' for 'Security & Intelligence Services' Though obviously some parts of the story will be less tame. The Republic's intelligence arm has broad discrecenary powers too, but still has some moral and ethical lines it wont cross. Might be fun to push up against those lines though.

BattleTech!!!

My second favourite sci-fi universe behind Warhammer 40k. I absolutely love this setting and everything about it! Not just the big stompy robots though naturally they are the prime reason. But it's a fantastically fleshed out setting with neat cultures and history and politics and holy shit! So many details... It's a superb example of Hard sci-fi done right. Not everyone's cup of tea maybe, but it's certainly one of mine. And if you don't know anything about BattleTech other than the bare bones basics then that's cool, i'm happy to do a simpler story that can help ease someone into this setting. Because it can be overwhelming if you dive headlong into it.

I am very willing to toss around ideas for pairings in this setting. Either 1x1 or with a small 3-4 player group. Romance and/or smut would be optional, not strictly necessary as I just want to play a BattleTech game more than anything, but also not frowned upon.

I don't have any plots properly fleshed out, just basic concept pairings that need a lot of braintstorming.

Mech Pilot x Mech pilot, hardly original I know but I defiantely can't-not include this. But there are options for this beyond just playing mercenaries. We can play as Clan invaders during Operation revival, or as pilots serving in the army of one of the great houses during the secession wars (my favourite era by far). Or we can *ahem* "creatively emulate" a story similar to that of the fantastic computer game made by Hairbrained schemes, which I thought was actually a really fun story. And we can play as mercenaries fighting in some backwater periphery war. Working to overthrow a government or defend one.

there is definitely no end to the variety of foes we can face or missions we can embark on.

Small Soldiers: so I maintain that MechWarrior x MechWarrior is not the only pairing that is possible in BattleTech. Not everyone drives big stompy robots, and at the end of the day regardless of how high tech the battlefield gets. There is always a reliance on infantry. Like the tank or the plane, the battlemech can help take city or tear down a wall. But it can't hold that territory or enter a building to recover VIPs or steal sensitive data and cargo.

Playing from the perspective of an average soldier in a battlefield were literal steel titans the size of small skyscrapers fire volleys of rockets and laser beams into each other is a whole new level of terrifying. Again, either as mercenaries, spies or members of an official military I think there is some potential here. If nothing else it's a criminally under explored perspective of the setting.

The Family that Plays together...: This is an idea I got after replaying the 2018 video game recently (which is awesome by the way. even at full price it's totally worth it) and inspired by the character of Sumire Meyer. Basically this idea balances mech warrior combat and action with a side of business management. Specifically managing a mercenary company and all the trials and tribulations that come with it. The gimmick here being our characters are a husband and wife combo and this is their own family business.

We could be recently married and trailblazing in the periphery, making our fortunes on the edge of civilized space. Or developing a relationship as this game goes. Our company got beat up hard, the original owner of the company is dead and someone has to step up to take charge. What starts off as an effort by the surviving senior staff to run a sort of collective business becomes something simultaneously more and less complicated. After all there's alot of details that need to be discussed at length. No shortage of late nights and senior staff meetings to force the two into more than just a working relationship.

Both of us don't have to be mech pilots either. Drop ship pilot, Lead mech tech, Physician are all options. Though I think dropship pilot might be the best one, mech tech a close second. A developing romance between a mechwarrior commander and his expert leopard pilot could be a lot of fun.

One leads on the front lines and represents the brand image of the company to the outside world, while the other takes care of the vital behind the scenes details. Balancing the books, managing crew, supplies and maintenance, etc.

Mass effect

for pretty much all of these I would like to avoid cannon characters where possible. Either setting the rp before or after the events of the game. The exception to this might be playing a game set during the reaper invasion itself. Those 6-8 months when the galaxy goes to total shit.

Mercenaries, Asari x human preferably

This is a simple premise involving two fucked up main characters. Bounty hunters, mercenaries, smugglers, drug dealers, scum of the galaxy types. In my mind this particular story would start after the PCs have already met and become a pair of romantically involved co-dependant criminals. Were they rivals turned lovers, long time partners? We can work that out, the important bit is the two have decided they're sick of being on someone else's payroll and playing by someone else's rules.

So... the two decide to go into business for themselves, start their own merc outfit. Carve their names into the stars. They'll start small and they'll need to be tough, Brutal even to get ahead and stay ahead. A life spent grabbing power in the galactic underworld is not for the feint of heart. Larger outfits might ignore them, or try to overwhelm them early before they become a true competitor. Even hiring is going to be a potential minefield, choosing clients, making and breaking alliances with other organizations, pissing off governments, All that fun stuff.

Basically i'm looking for someone willing to play the female half of a pretty messed up relationship. Both PCs are going to be ruthless, certainly not citizen of the year material. But then again playing an anti-hero might be alot of fun.

Asari x human

An obligatory inclsuion, Can be MxF or FxF. An asari commando and an alliance marine. It could be a cross species military operation that throws these two together or this could be set during the reaper war. Both are front line soldiers just trying to survive as 150+ metre tall death machines obliterate everything around them. Or we can set it a little before or after that event. I have some ideas in that regard that could make for good games, particularly revolving around the krogan.

Quarian x human

Basically the same as the above just with the added fun of enviro-suits. A quarian serving on a human ship or vice versa. Maybe the alliance launches a new program, just as the Normandy was a cross species engineering project between the humans and Turians, the alliance is looking at the potential pros and cons of other species design philosophies and starts similar initiatives. Mixed race crews, etc.

Asari Crime lord x Human Bodyguard

So this is an interesting one, and one that i've thought about on and off for a long time. The basic idea obviously starts with a Crime lord, Not necessarily like Aria. But someone more refined, elegant, probably operates amongst the great and good and walks the presidium freely. Nearly anyone who knows her also knows what she does for a living but no one can actually prove anything. At least not yet. Of course, with power comes rivals. Amongst this woman's many assets are a small private mercenary company she heavily invests in and in return they provide her with armed protection, and other critical services.

Keeping one's bodyguards loyal is always a challenge. Sure the mercenary company has strong financial ties to her and they are on friendly terms. But her chosen field of industry is nothing if not volatile and a business relationship is only as strong as the last payment. If she has to trust her life to strangers she's willing to pay whatever the cost to ensure they are willing to step between her and a bullet, not just obligated to do so. And she knows better than to treat them poorly and make them resent her.

This means that assignment to her protection squad is actually seen as one of the best gigs in the merc outfit. She pays bonuses, gives them a snazzy apartment and often let's them indulge casual vices and evenings of 'entertainment and cheer' on her tab.

In short I would love to play an idea sorrounding this kind of setup. A powerful asari crime lord and her hired muscle. Neither character is a saint and neither is possessed of any significant feelings of mercy or pity. For the Asari, I personally picture her as a matriarch. Centuries of experience playing dirty, devilishly devious and an IQ bordering on genius. It's part of why she's stayed alive and wealthy all this time. She might be a practiced biotic but no warrior. Hers is the soft skinned and curvy of a consort, not the trim well muscled build of a commando.

i'm also liking the possibility of her being much younger. A maiden Asari dipping her toes into the underworld and finding she really, really likes it. The danger, the challenge, the sheer rush of not being caught or living on the edge of society. Whatever her goals this version of the game would have the Asari not as an established crime lord, but an aspiring one. And maybe her networking with a small but capable merc force is the first step on her road to power? In this version as well the bodyguard could be some random merc or even the man in charge of the whole outfit. Directly negotiating and working with a potential client/investor and ensuring they have a very friendly business and personal relationship.

Possible ideas for adventures and story points are obvious. Rival gangs, cartels and law enforcement run-ins present a host of never ending challenges and obstacles that we can brainstorm. As for their relationship, well maybe the Asari has never had a human lover before, after all they are the new species on the block. Only been around a few decades and she's curious. She's heard all kinds of rumours and maybe watched a few extranet videos.

For those that have already browsed this thread, this idea will be virtually identical to a Mass effect themed idea found below. Of a rising crime lord and her bodyguard, only this idea & character isn't bound to a specific cannon setting. This can be in any sci-fi or cyberpunk type of setting, including one we make up ourselves. So without further ado....

She started as a trophy wife. A young, blonde bombshell whose only job was to look great, giggle at the right moments and bob her head on command. She played the role of a crime lord's spoiled and doting bimbo well. So well that no one saw her coming when she made her move, or suspected she was the architect of their downfall until the last possible moment. It was a masterful move really, the damaged she caused not just to her husband's organization was almost irreparable. And with his death any surviving lieutenants are now left clawing over the scraps of the once great underground empire that remains.

This former trophy wife has positioned herself as one of these aspiring criminal warlords. Ready to bite, scratch and claw her way into her husband's former throne. Of course she has a target on her back... and her head, and on nearly every other part of her. Naturally she needs to hire protection and be very selective in that regard. Not everyone wants to take orders from a woman much less throw themselves in front of a bullet for one.

Keeping one's bodyguards loyal is always a challenge, even for her husband. Sure she signs their paychecks.

Better pay, a running tab in any establishment she owns to indulge their vices, whatever they may be as long as it doesn't impede their duties. From wine to woman (or men) to song, if her men are content with their position and their salary they are less likely to shoot her in the back. At least that's the idea. They live like princes in exchange for making her a queen. A reasonable enough deal for most.

She might even take to giving a more personal reward to a particularly high achieving and loyal guard. Of course it's not all one sided, she is a woman with needs and itches that need scratching from time to time. So the idea of wining and dining a muscular and strapping man with lots of energy and endurance, and giving him the night of his life in exchange for her own pleasure is good deal for all parties involved. She may even treat him to that experience more than once, developing something akin to affection. Or at least as close to that concept as a sociopathic crime lord can achieve.

Some quick Warhammer pairing ideas, these can be MxF, MxM, FxF,

I'm moving these ideas to their own post entirely so I can more easily track and edit them. Plus, at least right now, none of these are being craved by myself at the moment.

Battle brothers (of any chapter, if you have a favourite chapter then pitch it, there is a ridiculous amount of options and potential stories to tell. From sons of Russ embarking on one of their great hunts to find their primarch, to the blood angels standing against the living battering ram of hive leviathan, to the Raven guard desperately stemming the growing tide of Waaaghs in their segmentum)

Space Marine captains (from different chapters fighting in the same warzone)

Imperial knight pilots

Deathwatch marines serving in a two man kill squad

inquisitor x acolyte/psyker

inquisitor x Sister of battle/hospitaller

Sister of Battle x sister of battle (we can be regular sisters, seraphims, zephyrs, dominions, etc. Or we could each be sergeants of our own squads)

Imperial guardsmen - There are far too many possibilities with this to fully list but I'll wring off a few. There are so many possible backgrounds, ranks, warzones, crazy shit to be done that we would have to try to run out of content.

-Lieutenant x sergeant
-sergeant x trooper/corporal
-heavy weapons team - This could be a great pairing I think. A gunner and their loader/spotter. Naturally they have to work closely together, more-so than most guardsmen. Learn each other's queues and quirks and whatnot.
-trooper x trooper (this one would just be a fantastic tale of two bootfuck infantry desperately trying to survive day to day, if not hour to hour in the hellscape that is 40k. Everything from the terror of coming face to face with the tyranid menace and the awe of having space marines literally crash down from the heavens into your warzone. Coupled with the benality of simple guardsman life, like trying to stay warm and dry while it's pissing down rain in the trenches. No strictly romance required, just a hard tale of survival)
-Imperial Battle psyker x Guardsman/officer
-Two Wyrdvane psykers attached to the same regiment/stuck in the same warzone

Switching it up to some Aeldari goodness

Aspect warriors (of the same shrine or different aspects altogether)

Exarch x farseer
-I like the idea of two eldar lost down their respective paths. Two very different perspectives on the task at hand. Farseers are highly respected and their wisdom and guidance are virtually never ignored by any sane eldar. But... once bullets start flying and battle is joined it's the exarchs and autarchs who typcially assume command and it's their orders that the guardians and aspect warriors listen for. In the heat of battle most seers simply serve advisory and support roles, giving deference and leave to the masters of war so they can perform their bloody art. Most seers anyway, some try to maintain control even as those clearly more qualified are trying to salvage a chaotic situation.

Aspect warrior x Drukhari warrior or wych (ynnari based rp, to better explain why a craftworlder and a denizen of Commorragh are repeatedly working together without knifing each other in the throat.)

Drukhari x drukhari (anything really, but warriors or wychs would make a fun pairing. Hell we can both be scourges if there is a good enough story for it)

Exarch x Guardian/citizen- The exarch can be from any aspect, and I figure the easiest pairing is to have the other character be a guardian that finds themselves under the exarch's command/fighting alongside them on several occasions. the fact he is an exarch and lost on a path of violence and blood might initially make the other wary. But even exarchs can have families and children, do their part to keep their dying species going another generation. I would prefer to play the exarch in this but i'm open to discussion. Here is a lovely eldar woman to hopefully wet your appetite for this idea as it did for me ;P
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

Corsair prince- Based largely off this image
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
the idea of a corsair prince and his second officer? or personal bodyguard?

And of course there is always chaos. I am going to be pickier about this one as by its nature this kind of game can go off the rails much easier and character personalities tend to clash more noticeably. So it would need to be a really good story and pairing. But some characters i'm personally interested in maybe playing are.

Chaos Lord

CSM sorcerer, unaligned or perhaps Thousand Sons

Mortal Sorcerer

Cultist Champion

Traitor guardsmen

Aspiring champion/exalted champion

Plague marine/Plague Champion

Mortal Champions. Perhaps the captain of a ship and their sorcerous advisor/second officer, They want to stay alive, gain dark glory and not be killed by the nearest Chaos Lord who would seek to take everything they had gained for easy power and resources.
