Airindel

Setting:
Prohibition/Great Depression

Concept:
There was much speculation, rumours and gossip.
No one knew why she returned, that she came back home.

Far different was the never-ending forest of West Virginia, the curving hills and steep valleys of the Appalachians, by comparison to the city in which she ran to, escaped to… but one’s heart could never leave home.

No one faulted her for that, not even the man who had quietly loved her for years, his heart aching for her, whose heart belonged to her.
He would not lose her, not again. This time, his intent would be clear.

Trouble would haunt her.
From New York City, he would come, a man scorned and a man who believed he had the right to her …because no woman walked away from him. No woman refused him.

Notes: Searching for a partner to write from the perspective of ‘the man who had quietly loved her for years’. It is more or less a tale about the West Virginia man finding a second chance with the woman he loves, and while it is awkward, he does eventually secure his position as her lover and future husband…but when the New Yorker comes to town, he  threatens to ruin it. It is a tale that has romantic elements, but too, it involves elements of violence, abuse, jealousy, sexuality, poverty, social elements of the era. What the plot fully entails will be collaborated between me and my writing partner.
