UPDATE: I found enough interest in a 5e Based Open/Shared World (aka West Marches Style) that I'm putting together an advertisement. 

Right now, I'm committing to 1)Running a single adventure as GM and 2)Building a draft of the framework for the shared world.

For the past 4+ years, I have been a part of a group running a PbP WestMarches style game on another forum.

A WestMarches Style supports multiple GMs and allows for players coming and going.  A GM and a group of players get together for an adventure.  I have found the format to work out well. 

  • GMs can shift between GMing and playing.
  • GMs and players can take a break without shutting down the game.
  • It is easier to find existing players and GMs.

When you express your interest, please let me know if you are interested in being a GM and or player.

FAQs

  • Why Elliquiy? The forum on which I am gaming has a strict PG-13 limit. I'm here on Elliquiy to be able to explore some more mature themes.
  • Why 5?  Why not another system?    5e is widespread, and I have several years of experience with it.  I would encourage others to start a WestMarches style campaign using their favorite system.
  • What Category (e.g., Exotic, NC, Extreme) would the Campaign go in? This detail is one of these TBD details of running a shared campaign on Elliquiy. I hope that each group can adjust on an adventure by adventure basis.  One group might find Light or Light exotic works for them, while another group might want to play in NC or Extreme.

I love this idea.  I tried to do something like it with a Pathfinder Society group, but I was never able to pull it off.

I'd love to try this out as a player, but I don't feel very comfortable GMing 5e, though I've tried.

IMO, GMing in a good West Marches is actually easier than running a solo game.  You have a group to ask for advice (and stuff like adventure reviews).  As well, The Characters are already reviewed and set. In addition, I have done a number of variations on helping out - e.g., ride along as a player, co-DMing, helping/reviewing building a GM outline.

I’m not familiar with Dungeon Overlords or Adventurers.  As well, groups can tweak the West Marches format. 

The intent of the West Marches format is to have a pool of players and GMs.  A smaller group gets together out of the pool and agrees on playing an adventure.  At the end of the adventure, the group goes back into the pool.  So, a player might have GM A for an adventure, be the GM for an adventure, and then have GM B for another adventure.

Mechanically, each player creates a character (with review/approval).  Then there is a Party Planning thread where the players (including GMs) discuss what they are interested in playing. Once a group is formed, they create a pair of threads OOC and IC for the adventure.  At the end, the characters split the loot and experience and then go back to the pool.

The West Marches group in which I’m playing has found that milestone advancement (e.g., 1 level every adventure) and relatively fixed duration adventures (e.g., 3-4 months depending on posting speed) works out well.   

This approach does require a bit more coordination between the GMs. We have found that the coordination is mostly around character progression (e.g., allowable races and classes, how to distribute treasure).

In terms of adventures/stories within the West Marches, I have seen a wide sweep from mostly a dungeon raid to a murder mystery (involving no combat).

@ihinka, I know your concern about getting one line responses in the West Marches.  Additionally, there is a issue of how much and what types of Errotica/Smut will be in an adventure.  My plan is to use some version of an abbreviated Session 0 and Game Palette.  This combined with players O/O should allow forming compatible groups for an adventure.

If/When I get enough interest, I’ll run an initial adventure to give people a feel for the format.

I tried playing the dungeons and adventurers large group a year or two ago but none of the adventuring groups were available for the entire adventure.

On that note I'd love to offer adventures and characters, even an entire party if desired.

@Thera Regina, Neverwinter, yes. GMs should be able to use whatever World/Campaign they want.

@mrbatou, my experience is that things work well as long as the adventure rewards (Advancement and Treasure) are relatively consistent across GMs and adventures.

I have some questions as both a player and a possible GM.
Would a setting area help people decide. If I understand WestMarches, we need a starting locale. Normally a Town or village and some idea of the area round abouts.
I would like to suggest either an Island or a peninsula. A coastal town allows land and water adventures as well as trading and a way to have new people arrive in the area.

I really like this and have at least one character idea ready to make and also already glimmers of several adventures.

A few things. First, there is enough interest that I’m going to start a West Marches Campaign here. However, I have got my arms full with games and some IRL stuff. So, I’m going to take it a bit slow.

A bit of history and then some answers.  I actually did not start the West Marches Campaign in which I’m currently one of the GMs.  Someone else started it and then abandoned it.  Another player and I stepped in and took it over.  So, we inherited a bunch of guidelines.  Over time, we have kept what worked (for us) and adjusted what didn’t. BTW, I have watched this happen with a pair of Shared Worlds - the originator getting burned out and stepping away, only for the other GMs/players to step up and take over.

The original West Marches had the concept ‘boring inside the wall, dangerous outside’.  This meant combat-centric to combat-exclusive adventures and only Wilderness adventures. We did away with that, and are in the process of moving towards a multi-verse game (e.g., Inifinite Staircase, Hall of Doors, Calahan’s Cross-Time Saloon).  I would encourage people not to limit the game to a single world - hence my comment - ‘Neverwinter should be fine’. This would allow people to use various WoTC worlds - e.g., Ebberon, Faerun, etc. as well as Homebrew Worlds.  Personally, I’m leaning towards the Mall at the end of space and time, where heros are recruited to handle various problems.

As a software geek (can you be former if you are retired?), I like stuff that is strongly cohesive and loosely coupled.  In Game-speak, this means that the GM has tight control over the individual adventure, and there is a minimal interface between adventures.

What we are using in the West Marches Campaign currently is Milestone Adventure.  Adventures are of approximately the same size/duration (6-9 encounters -typically 4-6 combat, and run around 3-4 months real time and say 36 or so posts).  Characters get a level dependent amount of treasure per adventure.

Now, a couple of suggestions that I would like to implement that would be different here.  First would using a consistent character generation method (e.g., Point Buy possible supplemented with a few extra points, and or an extra feat).  Second, I think that it would be more fun/interesting to allow characters to start at 3rd level.

GMing, some people love it, some people hate it.  What I have found in the West Marches is that there is some extra overhead - from helping orient new players, to researching how to handle the cross-adventure aspects of the game (e.g., Downtime, Crafting, Treasure), to help with some useful Guides. 

What I would like to do is to consider anyone willing to ‘help’ with maintaining the World a GM.  We have discussed various ‘perks’ (e.g., extra level or treasure) for being a GM in my old West Marches campaign.  However, the only perk on which we have settled is being able to run more than one character at a time.

Let me tease my first adventure. It is going to be ‘Silk Road Caravan’.  The group will be part of a caravan traveling in the Wilderness between two Empires/Outposts in my Homebrew world - Samarkand (in the Dragon Empire) and Terminus (on the Edge of the Phoenix Empire).

I am up for helping maintain the setting and offering locales and adventures, once I am sure of how leveling works for this.

May I suggest that since you have this 'Silk Road' that would be the west Marches setting. Close to the road is lower level adventures. Further out all sorts of things. Gms can make a place along the silk road. Example I would make an Inn/Tavern and the area around it if I were to GM.

Not being limited can be good and bad. As GM I would not be pleased to find the players now have laser pistols and cyberware but I guess i would figure out how to handle things.  ;D ;D

I do have the old Sigil adventure setting which would be fun to have players end up at.

A lot of things can be changed by the collective GMs.  However, what I am going to for in the Campaign as a whole is - The Mall at the End of Space and Time.  A multi-world location, where adventurers can re-group/plan, buy/sell gear and generally socialize. 

So, the Silk Road Caravan might be a setting for one or more adventurers.  However, the other GMs would not be locked it the location. For example, I have read about but never played in Neverwinter, so I would be excited to have Thera Regina run an adventure (or perhaps a campaign) there.

I had planned on getting up a recruiting post and possibly a few initial threads.  However, IRL events have overtaken me. So, below are the bullet points for character generation. If people are interested, feel free to begin crafting a character.

Next up is a pair of bullet lists (and examples) for GM posting and adventure posting.

Stuff that is still TBD is adventure duration, advancement, and treasure/magic.  My general plan is to crib a bit from UA (or appendix) about Open/Shared worlds.
- All adventures would be a relatively fixed length (e.g., certain number of scenes/encounters and a max IRL time)
-Advancement would be Milestone Based (e.g., 1 Adventure/Level)
-Treasure would be tied to level - e.g., the characters level would set the amount of mundane and magical gear they should have
- I would set the treasure level for a ‘low magic’ world, which would allow the GM to provide additional gear at the beginning of an adventure as they feel suits the adventure.


Character Creation
- All Official WotC Sourcebooks (e.g., PHB, SCAG, XGtE, TCoE)
- TCoE Customization of Origin is allowed
- 27 point Buy
- 3rd level
- 500 gold, and 1 Common Magic Item
- Custom Backgrounds allowed

Priority for this new adventure will be people interested in helping flesh out the shared world - e.g., GM an experience, help new players with character creation, assistance in developing the 'few' cross adventure rules.

...and does anyone know what it takes to start a game in one to folders? Can anyone create a thread, or is some permission required?  I'm thinking of the following three threads in Elliquiy:
1) Character - ideally one post/character
2) OOC - may eventually split into party planning vs. rules questions
3) IC - in character RP outside of adventures

Then the party (including GM) will decide where to run the adventure(s).

Thank-you for your generous offer. My current West Marches campaign actually has around 14 active campaigns, each with 4-6 players.  Additionally, I have watched a significant number of GMs come and go.  So, I am cautious about linking resources to a single person.

I think for now, I will allow players to create a character sheet wherever they want, as long as it is publicly accessible.

Mythweavers is a good site for that, and I do have a list of resources for D&D to use for those that wish to contact me.

I would also suggest Exploring Ebberon as a resource, gives a few more options and is written by the original creator of Ebberon setting for the 5e ruleset. That along with Explorers guide to Wildemount is almost Sanctioned 3rd party

Isengrad, makes a few good points.  For simplicity purposes, I/we use the list of Sourcebooks from DnD Beyond as the official list.  Explorer’s Guide to Wildmount is on the list.  I would like to steer clear of ‘Exploring Eberron’, because there is some variation in the material - e.g., Artificer and Warforged varied slightly between the two documents. 

Also, I encourage reaching out to people with more experience in character design.  The good and the bad of 5e/WotC is that there is a ton of material out there - races, classes, abilities, not to mention Spells.

This is a cut and paste from the document linked in my previous post. It covers character creation and an example (Khat my 3rd level Shifter (Swiftstride) Rogue (SoulKnife). Hopefully this will spur some folks that are interested in creating/running characters. 

I'm still debating where to post the initial threads (e.g., OOC, Characters). 'NC:Exotic System Small Groups' seems to be the likely starting point (there are non-human creatures). However, I don't want people to think that all of the adventures need to happen there. 

Character Creation:

Character sheet

The usual suspects - Name, Race, Class, picture, link to character sheet.

Physical, Description, Personality, and Background.  I want these four sections in bullet format and, ideally, a short text name for each bullet. I have a couple of reasons for this format.  First, I want to make it easier to flesh out and elaborate the character as the adventures go on - e.g., just add, modify or delete a bullet. Second, I would like brief descriptors (e.g., Khat Cat-like Face, White and Black striped fur).  This format makes it easier for the GM and players to insert descriptors into the text. For example,

“As John gently stroked Khat’s white and black striped fur, her cat-like face relaxed, and the Swiftstride shifter began to purr.”

Sexuality: This section is not a laundry list of Kinks or On/Offs. Instead, it is the sexual dimension of your character’s personality. What are the three key things that define their sexual personality?

Biological Clock.  Khat feels the urge to have and raise children (Kits ?) before she becomes too old.
Hormonal.  Khat’s sex drive and her biological clock are connected.  She will go from being disinterested to wildly horny depending on the time of the month.
Suitable Mate. Khat is looking for two things - someone with whom to procreate that would produce superior children and a long-term partner that will help her raise her children. The two might not be the same or the only person.

  • When his musical talents were discovered he was granted a position as the Duchess's personal entertainer, eventually earning the favor of the entire family
  • Was caught at the center of a great scandal when he was found having an affair with the Duchess's son AND daughter at the same time. He was promptly run out of the court, and eventually the Feywild itself when it became clear the Duchess's soldiers would never stop hunting him.
  • Ever since being driven to the mortal realm, Drip has made his way a traveling bard and part-time adventurer, hoping to lay low until he is strong enough to fend for himself and return home.

  • Coy: Despite being both a Satyr and a bard, he asserts that he has taken a staunch vow of chastity, a claim that is questionable at best
  • Power Thirsty: Is easily attracted to people stronger than himself, whether it be physically, magically, or socially
  • Giving Lover: Tends to prioritize his partner's needs first, whether it be satisfying their fetishes or changing his role to better suit them. As such he is highly flexible and willing to try out different things.

Doesn't encounter any spirit-y figures. But passes out in the forest none the same. Morning comes and she appears none the worse for wear. Like mother like daughter.
  • Nine months or thereabouts I come into the picture. With air genasi traits. Just like mum. And, apparently, grandda.
  • I get my magic and with the first few spells I cast, we learn the consequences of mum's lil nap in the woods.
  • By the time I was like sixteen mum split, leaving nan to raise me. And if I took one thing from her, aside from the herbalism craft, it was that romantic notion of that one fated companion we each apparently get. Wouldn't it be real neat to meet that person, fall madly and passionately in love. Only, instead of settling down, just go adventuring the world over together. I am an air genasi as well after all. It is not in me to put down roots.

I have character sheets from pdragon and ihinka.  Also, crabmouse has PMed that she is working on a character.  Also, there were a number of people who expressed interest earlier. 

In the meantime, I wanted to introduce a. Tool for adventure planning - the adventure palette.  This helps us all get on the same page about aspects of the adventure.  Think of the adventure palette as a set of guidelines for the adventure.  The group can tweak them. As well, the Game Palette give the GM (in this case me), a series of Guidelines for adventure design.  For example, if someone is Excited by Femdom, that is a key to try and build a female dominant into the story.  Note, Excited by does not guarantee that something will show up in an adventure.

Now, a bit about my personal preferences. I like a good story, particularly with a system adventure.  So, my preferences are around 70-80% story (although I could go 100%).  In terms of pace, I would prefer 2-3/week, but could go with 1/week.

Note: Players can/should set individual On/Offs.  However, the entire group will abide by the Veils and Lines in any public forum.  A few examples:
The group is excited by group sex. The GM will try and set up a few opportunities for group sex in the adventure.
Player A has expressed a veil around same-gender sex, while Player B’s character enjoys it.  The GM and Player B may briefly allude to a same-sex encounter (e.g., Fade to Black). If Player A desires it, they might go to a private or smaller channel (e.g., email, a separate Elliquiy thread, or private Discord Channel) to act in more detail.
One player has a hard-no (line) around watersports.  There will be no mention of this in public threads for an adventure.

So far we have Barbarian(crabmouse), Bard(pdragon), and Sorcerer (ihinka).  You cannot go wrong with any of the big four - Cleric, Fighter, Rogue, Wizard.

A couple of cautions. 
1)I’m still working on the various rules for this campaign/adventure. Think of this as an Alpha test. 

2)This is going to be several firsts for me - first time running a game on Elliquiy, first time running a group X-rated adventure (I have done non-Smut groups, and a few solo games with a fair bit of smut).

A couple of things to think about.  There are going to be things other than combat in the adventure.  So, look to the characters skills and tools as well as their combat abilities.

In terms of the Echo Knight, I have never GMed or run one of them before.  I think that they are going to require a Grid Map. Fair warning, my grid maps are Google Sheets with coloring.

I'm in the early stages of working with the adventure palette (trying it on a couple of adventures).  However, I am pushing people to contribute to it.  On the GM side, I will attempt to craft the adventure based on what I see in the palette, the adventure needs to provide some opportunities for things like bondage, gender pairings. On the player side, I hope that the Palette will contribute to more cohesive player groups and reduced dropout.

I haven't posted a character yet because the one I already have is...difficult to build in 5e and the latter needs a little more tweaking to make sure I have the character I'm imagining.

The latter also needs a pic reference that is more appropriate than the original one I've been using.  She's sfw but future/sci fi doesnt feel like she'd fit.

Adventure size:
This Shared/Open World version will have a relatively consistent adventure size and milestone progression based on the adventures. Right now, my plan is for an adventure of ~ nine scenes/encounters, of ~ four rounds (everyone posting)/ encounter.  At 2-3 posts/week, this will run around 12-18 weeks (approximately 3-4 months).

This format is going to force GMs to plan relatively encapsulated stories.  As well as break the stories down into smaller pieces.  I tend to think of this as TV shows, where each wraps in an hour, but there are Character and Season plots arcs that carry over multiple adventures (aka Episodes).  More interestingly, different parts of the story may star other characters.   

High Social Adventures.  Part of the Feedback in the game palette that I have gotten so far has been a preference for Social over Combat in the adventures.  As well, I have several characters interested in some variations of Dom/Sub relationships.  This means that I need to flesh out a number of NPCs rather than just grabbing Monster Stat blocks.  I'm going to limit the group size to four PCs to allow me to focus more on the specific players/characters.  Additionally, this will give me some experience running a High Smut group adventure.

@crabmouse, I think I have an idea of your Game Palette preferences based on previous gaming.  However, I would like you to contribute to the palette and then I can flesh out a version for the group to review.

crabmouse, Ekhoe, ihinka, dragon; you all will be in the first group. I do want to get a complete Game Palette. The feedback you all have given me is influencing my ideas around both the structure of the Game Palette and the adventure. 

Given the interest, I'll likely be starting a second group in a few weeks.

A quick update, I’m working on a consolidated Game Palette and some ideas for the story. I wanted to get an OOC thread up so that we could do some planning outside the recruiting (this) thread.  However, I have run out of time for the day.

I want to highlight a couple of things.  It is useful/easy to think of a Shared World Adventure as made up of 10 Scenes - Three Acts, 2-4 scenes/Act.  So, 50/50 Story to Smut ratio means that approximately half the scenes are going to involve Smut.  Similarly, a 2/4/4 ratio for combat/social/exploration, means that four of the 10 scenes are going to involve some type of exploration/investigation.

Also, it looks like a number of the character want to be dominated. An interesting question is will a group Dom work, or do I need a Dom for each character?

  • Hospitable: An adventurer with the soul of an Innkeeper, he is quick to offer up a brew and a hot meal to anyone looking for one, all of his own make.
  • Thrifty: As charitable as he is, he is a bit stingy when it comes to parting with money and he will always make sure he gets the best price he can get.
  • Proud: He is proud of his skill, he earned it through hard work, and is more than happy to give you a few pointers. He does have a tendency to get...well a bit off when someone else's work is better than his.

  • Falgrim was an only child to an Artisans Guild Chef, It was at her Apron strings that he first learned to Cook and Brew and where his passion for it came. In fact it's his mothers spice pouch that he now carries with him.
  • on his 35th year is mother fell Ill and unfortunately was gone by come the spring. Without his father around(stationed far away) he instead became a ward of the guild where he began his studies in earnest.
  • Once he came of Age he officially joined the Artisans guild, apprenticing under a master Artificer Thakag Bronzebeard, learning the tools and trades he felt he needed to know. While registered as a Chef with the Artisans Guild, his training as an Artificer let him branch out into multiple fields.
  • He ended up cutting his teeth on a Guild shipment to another town, during transit it was attacked by bandits which, with the help of a few others there, he was able to turn them back and even secure a few more goods to trade.
  • When not Adventuring for more(or rare) ingredients, or for more pressing matters he tends to pass the time serving as a Cook at some establishment, lending his knowledge and skills to those that need it.

Sexuality: (~3)

  • Free love: Falgrim is a dwarf of many colors, excited by those that tend to sport a feminine look but appreciating all comers.
  • Creative: The Artificer is not above making toys to delight and tease, this can include all manner of techno magical gadgets.
  • Stout and in Charge: Though just freshly an Adult by dwarven standards, Falgrim tends to fall into the Dominant role very easy. He does take pleasure in teasing, testing his partners limits, and introduce them to delights. Afterward he is there with a warm embrace and if needed, a cure spell and a nice beer.

Caution, this is should be considered someone what of a Beta product.  It is my 1st attempt to run a Campaign/Adventure on Elliquiy and my fist attempt to run a group R/X-rated adventure. I’m part of a successful PG-13 West Marches game on another site, and I have run several solo Smut/X-rated adventures - both 5e and freeform.

I just formed the first party and I’m working on getting them started on their 1st adventure.

Group1 (crabmouse, Ehkoe, ihinka, isengard, and pdragon) is in Adventure Planning.  I have the OOC and IC threads up, but there are a few details around the adventure palette that we need to iron out.

I'm looking for people to flesh out Group 2 (including hopefully a GM).  When I have a quorum, we'll launch Group 2. My preference with Group 2 is that I will be a player to see how the process works from the other side.

With the launch of group 2, I put up a few Campaign level threads (e.g., Characters, House Rules, Adventure Planning, possibly an IC thread for the actual CrossRoads). 

And a quick Re-cap.  This is a Beta of a Shared/Open world with different adventures run by different GMs in different Worlds.  The rule set is 5e.  Feel free to ask questions.  If you are interested, fill out a character and adventure palette.

Lots of detail below and a simple offer.  If you are interested in running an adventure using Crossroads, I would be happy to help you plan the adventure, with no commitment to running it.   

The steps:
1) Create a character,
2)Express an interest in going on an adventure. For my first adventure here, I took the first few people who expressed an interest. However, I hope that like-minded groups will form. 
3)Find a group of like-minded players (and a GM).  Some people will be picky about the adventure palette, while others will take the 1st available.
4)Play out the adventure. Note, I have tried to limit the adventure to a defined scope (e.g., ~10 scenes/encounters, ~40 posts, ~4 months IRL). This size gives everyone a defined end.
5)Level up your character and go back to step 2

If you want to be a GM, I suggest starting with the adventure palette (see below). Fill out the points where you have a strong preference and leave the rest blank. Let players know that you are willing to GM. Let people know if you want to use your homebrew world or a piece from a standard World (e.g., Eberron, Faerun).

Then you want to Outline your adventure - what is the Objective, where is it taking place, who are the various players (factions and unique NPC/Monsters). I like to limit myself to a one-page set of bulleted lists. If you are new to GMing, you may want to start with a location-based adventure. For my 1st adventure, I had an encampment over top of three caves next to the seashore.  I have run at least six adventures around the location as PCs traveled there and back to investigate parts of the location.

I have mentored several GMs in the West Marches Campaign.  From reviewing their adventure outline to coming along on the adventure as a player or co-GM.  For example, one person had an adventure outline but was not comfortable with the combat mechanics.  So, I ran the 1st encounter.  Then they ran the second with some suggestions from me. Then they ran the 3rd encounter, and I gave a bit of feedback at the end.

Yes, Recruiting is still open. With a couple of caveats. First, I'm hoping to get someone else to GM Group Two for a variety of reasons - wanting/needing to start developing a group of GMs, wanting to see how my GM stuff works in reality with other GMs, having a bunch of characters that I would like to play.  Second, this is an experiment for me.  I may after a few games decide that a West Marches Style play does not work well on Elliquiy.

Mjrbatou, please PM me with any questions about GMing. Generally, a GM is free to do as they see fit the only caveat being holding approximately to a time line for Milestone advancement.  Right now, my plan is to base treasure (gold, magic, Lifestyle, etc.) on character level - freeing the GM of having to worry about treasure.

As well, my plan is to have the magic level set relatively low. This will provide GMs the option of adding magic to the character (e.g., specific items or a budget) to bring them to a desired level. I have not figured out what I’m going to do about disposable magic/gear - e.g., rations, healing potions, scrolls.  Feel free to provide them to the group as you feel appropriate.

Also, I tend to base my adventures on an Adventuring Day - the characters get two short rests over the duration of the adventure, and no long rest. However, you should adjust the based on what you feel appropriate for the adventure.  As an example, I have given out extra hit dice, and or spell slots (arcane recovery) for some combat intense adventures.

Just to reiterate for prospective players, the actual smuttiness is still up in the air.  I only mentioned the least favorite that could be included and did not mean it as a guarantee.

I wrote this up back when I was really thinking about how creatures reproduce...plus it's hard to write everything during a 10 Mon work break.

I just realized that, at the lowest posting rate, 2 encounters could end up as half the adventure.  I may need to adjust the expected ratios once I've sat and thought things through a bit more.

A bit about Blessed of Corellon. Some Elves - Blessed of Corellon - are able to change gender.  Mechanically, it is done on a long rest.  However, I'm sure that GM and I will figure out some interesting times and ways for Seran to change.  Physically, Seran will either be male (Serano) or female (Serana).  To avoid real confusion with pronouns, as a writer, I will generally stick to male pronouns when Serano and female pronouns when Serana.

- Sylvan. Lean and short.
- Dancer.  Moves with a dancer's grace
- Clothes Make the Person.  Seran is skilled with cobbler's and weaver's tools. They have worked hard on creating a bespoke wardrobe that is androgenous.

Personality
- Introverted - Seran is more comfortable alone
- Intellectual - More comfortable discussing the intricacies of a spell (or Sociological theory) than trying to charm others.
- Experimental - Seran is looking for new information and will to try new things out.

Background
- Orphaned when Adventuring mother and father failed to return from a secret mission
- Fostered with a Great Aunt in Elven University
- Made fun of by classmates who consider ‘adventuring’ a fullest/stupid endeavor
- After loosing a physical confrontation with a classmate, turned to Bladesinging

Sexuality
- Blessed of Corallon.  Seran is blessed (or cursed ?) to have his biology change between male and female. Sometimes this change is based on their partner's desires.
- Pan-sexual.  Seran, does not really care what type of plumbing (e.g., penis, vagina) people have.  They are more concerned with the building.  Sexually, Seran goes for their physical opposite - big, tall, bulging muscles.
- Switch.  Seran's grueling Bladesinging (martial) training has left them equally adept and giving and receiving pain and pleasure.

I decided that getting two games going may have been rushing things, particularly given the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays.  So, I'm going to close this recruiting thread. 

Right now, I'm going to focus on running the 1st adventure. If things go well, I'll open recruiting for a second game in January.

We are still running through the first adventure right now, I think Red knight wanted to finish that before opening back up. Since this is a west march style game we can have multiple adventures running in a shared universe using the crossroads(what we are setting up with this first adventure) as the staging point. It feels like were almost done with the first adventure though, so here's hoping

I’m about to re-open recruiting.  The current adventure (link below) has few post more posts ( a week or two to go).

Quick Notes:
The campaign is designed to be episodic (each adventure takes ~3-4 months IRL).   
Based on Player/Group Desires (expressed in Game Palette), an individual adventure could go anywhere from Non-Adult (traditional DnD) to the NC:Extreme forums.

This is awesome. I just started getting into 5e about a year ago and love it, although haven't played in a PbP with a system/dice rolls yet, so not sure how that works on Elliquiy, per se.

In any case, I'll keep an eye on this thread for recruitment updates, or is a new thread going to be opening up?
