I’M APPROVED! Now what?

Congratulations on your approval into Elliquiy! On behalf of the staff and the community, we would like to welcome you into our little corner of the internet. Now that you've been approved and you've had a chance to look around, you probably noticed that Elliquiy is a lot bigger than it seemed and you might be feeling unsure of where to start. Don't fret, because the Elliquiy staff is here for you! We are the friendly users in purple and you can find a list of our entire Oracle team here. Please don't hesitate to PM any of us if you need anything at all.

Here are a few of the things we can do for you:

• Member Group Changes - we want everyone here on Elliquiy to belong to the member group they feel most comfortable with. If you feel like you've been approved with the wrong tag and would like another one, please just respond to this PM or contact another Oracle with your request and we can get it sorted out for you!
  Quick Explanation of E's Member Badges

  Lady (for those who identify as female), Legate (for those who prefer not to reveal their gender or are gender-less), Liege (for those who are intersex, do not identify with one singular gender, or who are transitioning), or Lord (for those who identify as male). A full explanation of Elliquiy’s User Group and Badge system can be found here.
• Name Changes - should you ever wish to have your username changed, simply send any Oracle a PM with the requested username in mind. Please be sure to check the memberlist first to make sure that username already isn't taken. We only allow one free username change upon joining Elliquiy, but if you make a donation to Elliquiy, you will receive the option for a second username change.
• Thread Moderation - should you ever need to have an RP thread moved from one forum to another, or if you wish to have a thread locked, a staff member will gladly help you out! All you need to do is send any Oracle a PM with the necessary links and what action you want taken and we will do the rest for you. If you are requesting a thread move, please be sure to specify where you want the thread moved to.
• General Information and Help - if you have any questions about Elliquiy, our staff will be glad to help you out. If you have questions about the site or about the different forums we have, if you need help finding a specific place to post a thread, or if you just need guidance around the site, you are more than welcome to PM any Oracle and we will help you find your way around.
• Issues and Reports - if you ever experience harassment from another member of the site, please report it immediately to a staff member via PM. We also have a "report to moderator" option, found at the bottom right-hand side of any post, which you could also use. You can also use that option if you see anyone breaking any rules around the site or if there is something you think we should take a look at.
• Anything Else - you can come to staff for anything at all. We are here for you and we want to do everything we can to help you settle into Elliquiy. If you have any questions or concerns, or if you just want to talk, please don't hesitate to send any staff member a PM.

There are also a few links around Elliquiy that I wish to bring to your attention:

• Tutorials - there are a lot of amazing features here on Elliquiy and in order to help others understand how to use them, our amazing community has put together a lot of tutorials for anyone to read. We recommend reading some tutorials to help you find your feet as you explore Elliquiy!
• If someone encourages you to isolate yourself, please report them - our approval process does a good job of keeping many harmful people out of Elliquiy, but sometimes, a few sneak through and they may try and reach out to you. Please be sure to give this thread a read and if you are ever contacted by someone who behaves like this, please send any staff member a PM.
• If someone tries to tear down your self-worth, consider reporting them - as stated above, sometimes, a harmful person will slip through the cracks and they may contact you. We rely on our community to speak up and report any suspicious behavior so we can intervene when possible. Please also give this thread a read and should you ever be contacted by someone like this, please send any staff member a PM.
• Logical Fallacies do not an Argument Make - this is a mandatory read if you wish to partake in the discussions in the Politics, Religion, and Other Controversies forum, which is where all of our debates take place.
  

Just to help you get started a bit, here are some quick tips that are always helpful when you’re brand new:

• 150x200 is the avatar dimension!
• Tutorials for creating Ons/Offs threads can be found in the Ons and Offs Boards.  Click on your Usergroup to be taken there.  Ladies.  Lords.  Lieges.  Legates.
• If you want to use an image in your signature, it must be uploaded to the Wiki first
• There's no limit on PMs! You can keep as many, or as little, as you like! You can even change the view of them to conversation style if you have a look in your settings.
• You can bookmark roleplay threads or topics you would like to keep an eye on. It’s along the same bar with ‘Home, Help, and Search’
