Over the course of her short lifetime, Olivia Adams had grown to believe that she was some kind of princess. Whether it be improper breeding, spoiling parents, or her natural appeal and beauty, she was quite possibly the biggest snob at Winchester High. Some might claim she fell short intellectually, but Olivia simply liked to maintain her 'blond' persona. Her football star boyfriend, Brian Wells, was no Einstein either. He happily maintained a 2.0 average, just enough to keep him on the team. Their most favorite pass time, besides getting wasted on the weekends, was finding some ridiculous way to embarrass the schools many other sordid genres. As far as bullying went, Olivia and Brian went far beyond the usual, and dabbled in the ridiculously out of hand.

However, despite the fact that Olivia had been caught time and time again, she had never been punished for her mistakes. Some would say it was because of her fair looks. There was no doubt that she was indeed quite the peach. Her silky hair looked as though it had been weaved from rays of sunshine. Her skin was smooth, her bright green eyes seemed to hold a vast river of secrets. To make matters worse, her smile was unreasonably perky. Her lips turned up in the corners, ending at the smallest dimpled cheeks. Most people would be infuriated with her smile, it knew too much. However, the principle seemed to pardon her antics far too much.

Today Olivia had planned her latest attack in a group of many, targeting nobody in particular. This prank was flawless and would succeed on the first person who happened into class unexpectedly. It just so happened that today her prank would trigger a two month romp, that would result in her final visit to the principles office.

Brian Stillson had felt he had lived several lifetimes sine he had made it to high school. High school had really turned into a long soap opera that he just happened to be a part of. But the sad thing was that he was always on the bottom of the totem pole. And he kind of enjoyed his place on the bottom. It kept him a nameless, faceless, person in the crowd. A person in the crowd that had short black hair, brown eyes, and wore glasses from time to time. He would get the occasional interaction with the popular regime every now and then. But he would do his best not to be thrown into lockers or beaten up. He had a good wit. And that had gotten him out of several rather sticky situations.

School work is where he excelled. He had a 3.9 average. The only class he had really ever gotten a bad grade in was P.E. But he was okay with just a 3.9, any higher and he would have had to join the nerd group. And that would get him noticed but the upper echelon. He liked his invisible status for several reasons. It allowed him to  play with his PSP at any time there wasn't class. And Brian really loved his video games. They were probably the reason why he had no girlfriend to speak of. Most girls were put off by his apparent addiction to it.

On this morning, he was headed to class a little earlier than usual. He was going to be able to play games for a while before the teacher got there. He opened the door to the classroom slowly. He did not want to make to make too much noise if someone was already there.

Olivia had spent all night on this one, rigging the door to create a small match to light, which would hopefully trigger the activation of the school sprinkler system. She also went a step further, and injected pink dye into the sprinkler above the door. For somebody who didn't exactly get good grades, Olivia was quite ingenious. Olivia had not anticipated being the only student in the classroom. People didn't normally arrive to class this early, the first group of students wasn't expected to arrive for another fifteen minutes. When the door knob trembled, Olivia looked up just in time to see some nameless face trigger the rigged door. Everything happened just as planned. The sirens went off, the school exploded into a slurry of water. Olivia and Brian were left standing in the middle of it, the only two culprits to be found. The school was cleared out, everybody was sent home for the day.

After the water mess was cleaned up and everybody was sent back to class, Olivia was called first thing too the principles office. It was no doubt that she had some major part in this little scheme. When asked who had helped her, (since obviously with her grade point average she wasn't smart enough to do it alone), the first name that came to mind was Brian. That was of course her wonderful jock boyfriends name. The slip of the tongue didn't go unnoticed, and when asked if it was Brian Wells, Olivia shook her head. She didn't want to get her boyfriend into trouble, he was going for a college football scholarship. Something like this could ruin it for him.  "No. It was that Brian kid, the one who is in my first period history class. He helped me do it."

Things went from bad to worse after that. Olivia had not expected such negative repercussions. Police were called in to take testimonies, and both Brian and Olivia were suspended from school until further notice. To save them both from completely ruining their careers on a single slippery prank, the principle offered them a deal. They could finish out the rest of the school year in, in school suspension, and they would both be spending the summer working on building and maintaining a garden and hothouse for the schools new botany class.  Olivia quickly agreed, this deal was much better then spending the summer in juvenile detention.

When the sprinklers went off spraying water all over the place, Brian quickly took out his PSP and clutched it for dear life. He was not going to let someone ruin his only source of fun. He couldn't let that happen. But then when he was ushered to the prinicpal's office he could not really understand why. He was a victim. He had taken no part in the sabotage. Water and him were not the best of friends. Especially when he was fully clothed and had his PSP in his pocket.

Sitting in the principal's office was no joke. And of all people he would have to be here it had to be with Princess Olivia, sitting right next to him. He knew that this all must have been some kind of misunderstanding. This was probably something that she and her boyfriend Prince Brian had worked out. He looked at the principal, dead in the eye and said:

"I hate this girl, why in Heaven's name would I ever want to do anything this elaborate with her? I think you should ask her boyfriend about all of this."

But the principal had already set it in his mind that this Brian was the guilty party. Or at least he would punish this one until they got any evidence on the contrary. Brian was forced to take the deal. On his way home, though he was already working on getting his way into another school for the remainder of the year. He had called several schools already. He was adamant about getting into one of them, at least temporarily till he made Princess Olivia tell the truth. The building of the hot house and garden were already being factored into his summer schedule even though it really did cut into his summer video game plans. But his most overpowering thought was about making Olivia pay for this. And boy what plans did he have for her.

Olivia spent her weekend shopping. Her mom was a Realtor and avid wine drinker, and her CEO father had been away on business for a couple weeks now. Olivia believed that he was secretly sleeping with his secretary. She had just narrowly skated by with this little prank, and was quite happy to have saved her boyfriend from the embarrassment of losing his football scholarships. The consequences that Brian might face meant little to her, he was just another nobody.

She arrived at school Monday morning to find that the entire school was talking about the prank. Olivia was every ones hero. Because of her little prank, everybody had gotten a wonderful five day weekend. Olivia was definitely not shy about all the attention she was getting. Her group of friends and her paraded around like a royalty. It hadn't occurred to her that her summer was ruined. The work didn't seem too hard, and they probably wouldn't make her do any heavy lifting. Plus, she would get to spend the weekends out at her families lakeside cabin.

Like usual, this morning she wandered around, showing up late to her first period class. And, Like usual, nobody said anything when she spent the morning texting too her best friend Amanda. Olivia made a point not to acknowledge Brian at all. She didn't apologize, or even make eye contact with him when she passed by him on the way too her seat. It was once again as if he didn't exist in her world. She had used him like a pawn on a chessboard and sacrificed him well for the sake of her king.

Brian spent his weekend playing video games. He had won a COD:Black OPs tournament online and got to line his pockets with a cool $10,000. He had only spent $1000 dollars of that so far. Half of that was for video games and the other half was for some professional surveillance equipment. He had plans for Olivia, big plans. When she walked by him like he had disappeared back into nothingness, he was happy. It would make it all the more easier for him to do what he had to.

It looked as though Olivia liked taking the credit for the prank. And Brian was left to drift into the background like he had done before. He was stuck in a perpetually happy mood. No one would notice when he began his plan. In fact, no one would really care. No one ever really cared what he did. All he was to them was a nobody, there to take up space and breath up their air. This invisibility afforded him various benefits. One of them was the ability to look at Olivia in the middle of class. If any other guy did it, he was on his way to getting noticed by some of the popular folk.
