I saw that off of another site sometime in the last week, and it made my jaw drop. I could not believe some of the questions they expect you to be able to answer.

And therein lies the conundrum of American politics.  We want change and bold new ideas and a thinking President--yet we'll crucify anyone who actually lived an examined life where dice were tossed, conventions bucked, risks taken, and mistakes made.

Exactly! Thats a tough paradoxon....the same -though slightly different - in Europe.

Well the Obama administration is going to the extreme of we want qualified people who dont make us look bad. To me its like they dont want to fight about who will be advising the new President, which, ok that is his desicion but, i dont know, it seems to me that they could end up excluding someone who is ideally qualified for something but because when they were 20 years old and mad at their parents they wrote something as an editorial that could make them look bad.

I am not holding my breath, but I do hope for and wish the new administration the best.

it sounds very much like an invasion of privacy to me...Big Brother is DEFINITELY watching and if you think we STILL have Freedom of Speech- I would think again!
