Since Genoskian is out of commission temporarily, I am putting this thread up to start some early recruitment. We have an absolute need of female duelist characters. So we need people for that purpose. For details I will provide the character sheet archives to help give you a sense of what to do to make a character and if you have questions or comments about duel monsters itself feel free to ask away. Im no expert but I know my ways around it as well. ^_^

Is it played online or with Duelist Network?

No solid plotline beyond slice of life at Duel Academy and misadventures. Barely started.

Just online via the forums. Not via dueling netwrok but dueling network can help in deck creation for sure.

I'll either reuse my Six Samurai deck (I'm sure everyone's thrilled by that) or I'm looking up Insektors, are those allowed? They sound fun as hell.

Decks currently have no xyz cards yet. Archetype decks are permitted.

Archetypes basically are decks pre made for most duelists ^_^

As for the new anime's universe no, it's in the GX universe. Adult content is being restrained for now to prevent instant fucking and strip dueling instantly.

 Make sure to double check, because some of them are simply limited. And the ban we have on xyz cards may or may not be lifted....

In either case I should mention that we use the elliquiy dice roller and ID numbers (which are sent to the GM to prevent cheating) to draw cards. The deck is marked from to your last card in the main deck. And as advanced warning match duels can happen as well so keep a good side deck ready.

oh well i suppose the deck can be edited to remove those couple cards..well 4 cards fromteh dakr magician deck: DMOC, dedication through light and darkness, pot of greed and graceful charity..i can go without em. takes a bit of umph out of the deck but thats okay, least i know my Ehero deck is legal

Its been that way for me as well and apygoos but some things you don't forget completely. You need a refresher then give the word or make a character that doesn't duel like Annie did.

Unfortunately you cannot use other archetype cards if you are using another archetype. So Naturia and X-Saber cannot be in the extra deck.

That was a rule handed to me by Gen and it was what Silk had pertained towards. Least thats how it came off to me. Someone of course can correct me if thats wrong.

Well Gen knew the rules I set down for decks, so I'm going to assume it follows those rules, I honestly don't mind people not having strong decks, after all your in a school to learn about dueling your not all megapros yet so mistakes and bad decks will happen :)

Yes because it's an insidiously evil card in the anime's history look it up. In either case on the subject of working on deck approvals, we can do that together without much problems. Still it doesn't seem that there is no other problems now with the deck as far as Thorn's go.

just remember that you'd still have to mark the cards in the main deck with a number to be able to roll dice for drawing cards in game.

perhaps a sample of a duel that has already taken place?

Basically the system is each card has a number next to it, then by using eliquiys random number generator the number that comes up is the card you draw. if its a card you have already then you reroll it until it's a card you don't.

Its nice but its hard to run an RP around it, unless we just shared the results but I don't think thats the point of the RP.

It's fine for you to use the dueling network for all but the story based duels, so if you and your opponent just want to have a friendly and have it in effect in the story go for it. But major event's it kinda needs to be done via main system, just keep in mind that you will be progressing faster than everyone else if you did.

Here is how I do my fields.

And I make a private note in my Word Doc's for RPs about the contents of my hand and what number is face down on the field. That way the opponent cannot tell what I have there but the GMs will because they have my rolls.

History: Jess is a young duelist who entered due to a lack of direction in her life. She found herself unsure in life what she wanted to do, but she knew she always had an interest in dueling. That was when she heard of the duel academy. With some direction in her life, she built a deck and worked to be accepted, finally earning the right ot join Silfer Red. She has a bit of a sarcastic side to her, and can get pretty hot headed, but its obvious she is not used to craziness and reacts to what she doesn't know with snark.

About decks and the ban list, I just wanted everyone to know that I use an Ice barrier deck, so I was allowed to use Brio, but only in special conditions.
