Am I Evil?

Well, actually I'm not evil.  But I always wondered what it would be like to play a game of D&D as an evil PC.  Perhaps I could be an orcish raider or barbarian rising up the ranks.  Or a deckhand on a pirate vessel.  Ideally I'd start out at first level and work my way up from there by robbing, raping, pillaging, defenestrating, and whatnot , building up my power base.
