Fandom Plots

These are plots I have for various fandoms.  If there isn't a plot here for the fandom you're interested in (or you'd like a different plot) I'm always down for hashing something out.

Wiggle Room Josh Washington/Any. After the events of Until Dawn, Josh is found before he can begin the process of changing and has to cope with everything that happened at the cabin, on house arrest, while knowing that Hannah is still up there.  Ideally canon/canon but it could work with an original.  Definitely looking to explore his mental illness on this one, as well as the topic of redemption.

Live Another Sol Mark Watney/Any. After the events of the book 'The Martian' Watney returns home and has to go through the process of resuming life on Earth and dealing with the anxiety, PTSD, and everything that follows.  Could be Watney/Beck, or Watney/Original.

Now We're Two Bruce Wayne/Jim Gordon.  Batman.  Nolan-Verse.  After years of working together, relying on each other, fighting the good fight, Bruce Wayne comes to the startling realization that Gotham's Police Commissioner has always been there for him, has given up everything for their cause, and has been steadfast and reliable.  Amidst these revelations is the most startling one of all - Bruce has realized he's maybe kind of in love with the guy.  I'm looking for something that strikes a balance between the dark and gritty world of the Nolan movies and the awkward, hilarious reality of the Batman coming to terms with having feelings for the middle-aged, nerdy, excessively loyal police commissioner.  I'm looking for nights where they work together, long discussions on rooftops, awkward flirtations, and Bruce Wayne slowly inserting himself into a baffled Gordon's daytime hours. [Will play either]

Animosity and Other Team-Building Exercises Shawn Spencer/Carlton Lassiter. Psych. Working together has been a bitch, but amidst their petty insults and bickering, Shawn and Carlton have come to a sort of accord - the sort where they keep enough distance and Carlton won't shoot him in the knee.  It works.  Until the day they both find themselves taken hostage, waking up in a place they don't recognize and having to work together to escape. [Will play either]

Concierge of Crime Raymond Reddington/Donald Ressler OR Aram Mojtabai OR Original Character. The Blacklist. Raymond Reddington has been around the world enough times that he's got a few full passports and he's ready to do it again.  When Red goes on the run, he ends up with an unwilling traveling companion - this could either be Ressler, Aram, or an OC - and the circumstances can be worked out with my writing partner - ultimately, I'm looking to do a piece where Red is in a situation of having to bring someone along for the journey, initially via force, before it turns into a series of crime capers. [Preference for playing Red]

The Science of Chemistry Newton Geiszler/Hermann Gottlieb. Pacific Rim. They've worked with each other, fought with each other, survived with each other.  Post-Pacific Rim, Gottlieb is offered a position elsewhere and considers it, only to be met with an argument from Newt as the situation brings them both to the realization that they don't want to be apart.  Ideally, will turn into a kind of pseudo-detective situation as Newt uncovers a conspiracy related to the Kaiju and tries to draw Gottlieb into it to keep him around longer and both of them realize they're compatible in many ways. [Will play either]

The Rise and Fall of Sort-Of-Okay Powers Dr. Horrible/OC. Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog. Billy Buddy has made it in the world he always sought to be a part of but he remains in mourning, perpetually grieving the loss of Penny.  When Moist pushes him to enter back into the social world, Billy unintentionally becomes friends - and then more - with someone new to the city, who turns out to be a super. [Preference for playing Billy]

The Normalcy Fallacy X-Men.  Logan/Human OC.  Unable to cope with being around others like him, Logan disappears from the academy again, seeking out his past and some sense of normalcy.  What he finds is the opposite when he gets involved with someone who got in too deep.  Looking for a crime-based plot in which Logan and a human OC (one potentially oblivious to the Mutant population) end up having to work together. [Preference for playing Logan]

AVAILABLE ORIGINAL PLOTLINES
[Brackets denote characters I would prefer to play]

Most of these plots can be adapted to any gender pairing.

The Council
When an attorney is found dead, a tenacious councilman/woman discovers something suspicious about their death - upon digging, they uncover a scandal that extends through almost every other city official except one.  Trying to maintain a facade of calm, they are forced to continue with their day, to do the public announcement about the late attorney, to act as though everything is normal before taking their findings to the city police, only to find that the problem runs even deeper than they initially knew.

That night, their house is broken into and they're taken in the night, shoved into the back of a car with a bag over their head, delivered to a place where they face down the barrel of a gun - only to end up in the middle of a firefight where they're hit hard, knocked unconscious.  They wake up again, in the back of another car, with someone they recognize - a convict, one that the councilman/woman put out a warrant for, and they're going to help the official stay alive - in return, they'll get their name cleared.

I'm looking for a high-stakes, funny, modern, character-focused story between a city official whose life is in danger and the convict that they helped put out the warrant for.  Ideally, I would play the convict, but I'm flexible.  These characters can be any gender, hit me up and we'll concoct a scandal.

I Put a Spell On You
Frustrated with a series of over-complicated and unsuccessful relationships (or perhaps an unhappy and current one), someone decides to dabble in the supernatural.  Feeling ridiculous and following a roughly translated latin spell, they summon a demon - an affable incubus - with the nervous intention of fulfilling their fantasies for a night.  To their great surprise, it works, and they are faced with the reality of now having said demon at their beck and call - but it turns out things aren't so cut-and-dry.  Having made a mistake by putting their own blood into the spell (rather than that of a sacrifice; chicken or cow blood) they have bound the clever, trouble-making demon to themselves for the rest of their mortal life. [Demon]

We're In This Together
Old high school friends: one, a former loser goth, the other a straight-A student. Unlikely friends, but somehow it worked. They meet by chance later in life - the straight-A student has fallen into the trap of an abusive relationship while the other has gotten his act together. A run-in with the abusive husband leads two old friends to wonder how to get away with murder. [Old Friend]

Seeking Sidekick
Someone jokingly answers a bizarre ad seeking a crime-fighting partner and is drawn into a world of superheroes [Superhero]

Bootstraps
A several-times ex-convict, former bare-knuckle boxer, and addict on the mend has been taking odd jobs for so long that he's gained a reputation as the go-to guy for sticky situations.  With a history of bad luck, it would figure that the last job he plans to take has him faced with the dilemma of getting rid of his not-quite-dead former parole officer, only to find himself with a moral quandry about it. (Searching for a parole officer!)

The Family, A Story In Two Parts
On vacation, your character was taken hostage, thrown into the bizarre, terrifying world of a man with a penchant for collecting other people.  Alongside another victim (MC) who has been there for a long time, they work together and manage to escape back out into the jarring light of the real world.  From there, they must go through the motions of trying to return to their lives, but their time away has changed them in ways they cannot begin to fathom.

Part One: The Family
On a well-deserved and much-needed vacation, your character's travels are interrupted when they're drugged and swept away to a location they don't know, a sprawling and heavily-gated estate lorded over by a man who collects other people to be a part of his family and forces them to refer to him as Father.  Here, your character will meet other members of the family, some of whom have been there for a long time, but one in particular - a dark-humoured, sarcastic doctor who has seemingly survived with his sanity intact - helps YC learn to play the game, helps them survive.

Part Two: Emancipation
Having survived a long stay with the Family, your character escapes with the help of the doctor.  Badly injured and suffering PTSD, both characters have to go to the police, they must face the months in court, the questioning, the invasive questions, the media prying, and try to return to their lives, only to discover it's a nearly impossible task.

The Lowdown
I'm looking for a partner in this story who will play the vacationing character who is taken hostage and swept into this horrifying situation.  This story is meant to be long-term, involved, and very dark - there will be drugs, violence, torture, and hugely uncomfortable situations.  Your character will be forced to behave like someone they are not in order to survive the Family and the only relief from all of it is their connection to the only other member who seems to have kept some semblance of who they are, the doctor.  I would be playing the doctor as well as other members of the Family (including 'Father') and I'm looking to play this story out in two distinct pieces, with the first being your character's time in the estate, and the second being the aftermath of kidnapping.  It may not sound like it, but I'm looking for a dark humour storyline, and to explore the dynamics of people under duress.  Please check out my O/Os and look into my writing history to see if I'm a match for you - your character can be any gender, any sexuality, and this story could involve romance in the long-term, though clearly of a darker variety, as these characters will be surviving some very weird things together.

Note: This is not a sexually-themed story.  There could be sexual elements in it, in the long-term, but this is not meant to be fetish-focused.

Making the Cut
A surgeon leaving their workplace late at night is kidnapped by a bizarrely polite assailant, taken to a location to perform on-the-spot surgery on a man who has been shot.  With a gun to their head, they save the man's life, only to realize that the situation hasn't stopped being dire - they've seen the faces of a number of criminals, and now they have no choice but be put on the payroll or be buried with their enemies. [Kidnapper, Shot Man, Mob Boss]

Home Makers

A woman is not living the life she envisioned - she's given up her dreams to become a stay-at-home mother to uncontrollable children, her husband is staying at the office more and more these days, and her mother-in-law is vicious.  Placed in the 1970s in an idyllic upper-class suburb, she spends her days trying to look happy, trying to maintain a home that is too big, too cold, and entertaining neighbours and guests that she doesn't even like.

Then a new neighbour moves in, right next door.  She is perfect in the way all housewives are expected to be, maintaining her home and her image with a flawlessness that seems unnatural - she comes to a neighbourhood party alone, her husband is working, her husband is always working and no one has seen him.  Late at night, the perfect neighbour goes out and often doesn't return until the early morning.

I'm looking for a story in which two women - one stuck in the cold hell of a family life she hates - begin a friendship that, ideally, turns into more.  I'm looking for a dark story in which the new neighbour turns out to be a hit-woman, maintaining a perfect suburban image when she's not going out and killing people in the night.  This story would be dark humour, twisted and retro and very gay as the two come to recognize their attraction to each other.

Fix

The Start

Your character is on the run.  They've made some bad choices in their life that have brought them to this point - they got involved with the wrong people at a young age and now the consequences have come for them after a deal went south.  In a city they don't know, injured, and with no one to turn to, they break into the first dark building they can manage, a busted-up old auto shop, intending to lay low for the night and lick their wounds.

When they come to again, they're no longer on the cold cement floor, but they're on a beaten up old couch, a blanket thrown haphazardly across them, their wounds are bandaged.  It's still dark, there is the quiet sound of music playing, and they are being watched.

"When you're feeling up to it." he says, toying with the tuning on the radio, shifting between static and the blues, finally finding the sweet spot, "You're gonna need to tell me what the fuck you're doing here."

The Story

A life of crime hasn't gone well for your character and in a moment of desperation, they end up hiding out in the storefront of a mechanic.  This story can be M/M or M/F, or F/F (and your character can be cis or trans or non-binary, for clarification), though I initially imagine the mechanic as cis-male, I'm more than willing to bend it.

I'm looking for two very different characters - the mechanic is older, anywhere from mid-forties to early fifties.  He's a crabby blue-collar guy, he's an introvert, he leads a life of solitude and he probably can't type on a keyboard without having to stare at the keys for a while to figure out where the fuck each letter is.  He grew up poor, he's worked with his hands most of his career, he's on the fit side of middle age from a lifetime of sports and activity, he's got exactly zero patience for bullshit.

The character on the run is likely to be younger, anywhere from their early twenties to their early thirties, ideally they're the kind of person who doesn't know when to shut up.  Book smart but probably not street smart, they saw an opportunity to make money but unfortunately it was illegal.  They probably came from an upper or middle class family but life itself probably wasn't great.  They should be tech savvy, mouthy, extroverted.

What I want is for these two characters to end up in a position where they're both being hunted down by a group of criminals - it's possible your character stole something, knows something they shouldn't know, or both, but whatever it is, their former employer (or opposition) now decidedly wants them dead.  After burning down the mechanic's shop, they end up on the run together.

I'm looking for a bizarre kind of relationship between these two - different generations that ideally develop an attraction to each other that's confusing for both of them.  I want them to argue, to snark at each other, make fun of each other, I'm looking for banter and unlikely friendship and the development of a kind of loyalty between people from different worlds.

This story is likely to involve drugs, violence, age difference, and an appreciation for the crime genre.  Please note, I'm willing to play either role.

Bloodsport
YC, a low-level mobster (or gangster) has been trying to make their way in the world, but can't seem to get anyone to take them seriously.  They put out an ad looking for some muscle to back them up, but after a series of unsuccessful trials, they find themselves at a loss.  Drinking their irritations away in a pub, your character ends up witness to a brutal armed robbery that very suddenly turns tide when MC, a completely wasted patron at the bar knocks the robber out.  This could be the beginning of something beautiful.

I'm looking for the mobster to be something of a con-man - clever, but not exactly powerful.  Maybe he was raised with crime or maybe he got into it on his own, but what it comes down to is that he wants more than what he currently has, he wants to be taken seriously, but he doesn't have much of a stomach for the dirty work.  I want him to go looking for someone who can do the parts he can't and to end up finding his other half by accident, a good-natured and terrifying lunatic.  I'm looking for these characters to have an unorthodox relationship, a sort of mutual bemusement with each other, but they still develop an immense loyalty to each other as they stumble their way up the food chain. [Drunk Patron]
Keeper
A brilliant college exchange student living in the United States becomes notorious when his many years of killing are uncovered, leading the police to body after body left in his wake.  Temporarily put into the general prison population, it's discovered he cannot be kept there for safety reasons - the safety of other prisoners - and he is placed within a state hospital for the criminally insane.

However, difficulties stir when his father - a powerful local war hero - begins to demand his son be returned home and tried within his own country, an outcome that would potentially give the killer his freedom back.  With this as public knowledge, an attempt is made on the killer's life, demands for his death become overwhelming, and the FBI is forced to take over the case, placing two agents in charge of transferring him to a safe-house.

In the safe-house, in the night, a break-in occurs.  One of the agents is brutally murdered and the other is saved by the killer.  They make the discovery that the man who came in the night was there to kill the agents, trying to put the blame for their deaths on the killer they were transferring.  Because of this set-back, the FBI are forced to transfer the killer a second time, keeping the agent with him while a decision is made as to his future.

I'm looking for someone to play the agent in question - their gender doesn't matter.  I'm looking, ultimately, for a story in which these two vastly different characters are forced to work together and for the killer to end up playing a key role in the agent's life, ending up helping the FBI with their cases along the way while both characters struggle with their demons.  This is meant to be a dark roleplay for obvious reasons, it will approach some very sensitive subjects (drug and alcohol abuse, domestic violence, gore, horror, and obviously murder) and I'm looking for the agent to have to deal with the fallout of losing their partner and owing their life to a monster (and seeing how human he is).  Dark romance is possible, depending on my RP partner's thoughts - please note, I'm not looking for any dom/sub dynamic in this. [Murderer]

Enforcers
Two very different, down-on-their luck (or very bored) strangers meet in a pub; when YC leaves for the night, they're attacked in the alleyway, only for MC to come to their rescue, forming an unusual alliance as they work together and take the attacker to the police station, turning them in.  They recognize they work well together and, in their infinite wisdom, decide that it's something they could continue doing, thus forming an inexpert vigilante team.  The two characters are likely to argue, fumble, and fail at things, put themselves in immense danger, and begin to form a co-dependent, strange, and slightly obsessive relationship with each other.

What I'm looking for is a bizarre dynamic - these characters have met through circumstance and they likely come from lives so differing that any other time, they probably wouldn't have spoken to each other.  I'm looking for dark humour, a gritty antihero story that doesn't take itself too seriously.  This story could involve any gender pairing (assuming a connection happens) and has the potential to go in a lot of directions, but ultimately what I'm looking for is a bickering, snarky pair that ends up a little obsessed with each other.

Heroism and Other White Lies
When a serial killer saves lives and ends up a media darling, his life is flipped upside-down and invaded by a journalist/manager who wants to make him into a star. With his urges still present, he has to keep his habits out of the spotlight and still be able to act like a real person.  Ultimately, when his manager discovers their rising star's habit, they go out of their way to hide it and continue the money-making illusion.

Upgrades
A scientist that had been part of a morally ambiguous experiment gone awry relocates themselves to leave behind their past.  Years later, when things have normalized, they start to see things - a former co-worker, one that had been left dead in the wake of the chaos, and they aren't the same anymore.  What had once been a skinny, sickly man has been turned into a human weapon, and you owe him a debt.  This is a story about human experimentation, superpowers, murky morals, and making up for past mistakes.
