Here is a rough (and I mean exceedingly rough) sketch of what I am searching for / craving at the present moment.
Kindly note the following if you wish to roleplay with me:

1. I will do my best to post as often as possible, but my work comes first, so there may be times at which my posting slows to a bit of a crawl. Please bear with me when this happens and know that it is not you or the rp itself.

2. I am extremely flexible. If you think of something that isn't listed below (or uses some but not all of the elements listed below), feel free to ask me about it. Chances are I'll think it's a smashing idea.

3. I'm always willing to try new things. Push my limits, recreate my boundaries. I do enjoy a good challenge.

4. I adore plot. One-shots can be fun and all, but smut for smut's sake tends to get old rather quickly. This search is for well developed characters, worlds, etc. and it is my hope that each story that unfolds is going to be plot driven. In other words, make me care about the characters and relationships involved and I'll make it well worth your while, don't and... -shrugs-

(Fandom Plots - MxF)
Singing Through Your Veins (Dragon Age) - Lyrium, liquid magic, it sings through the veins of the templars, giving them the ability to subdue the magic of the Tower's mages...but at what cost? With each dose, it becomes less and less effective, and then come the headaches, the need, the symptoms of withdrawal. Many a templar has been thwarted by lyrium addiction, and many more fear it, carefully regulating their own doses during training so as not to become overly dependent upon it....but sooner or later, it becomes necessary. Templar Cullen has found this out the hard way. He speaks of his addiction (his own personal demon) to no one. Neria Surana has lived within the walls of the Circle Tower her entire life, and though she knows that she will never escape her fate, she dreams of the world outside, of escape. One night, she endeavors to make her dream a reality, but once on the other side of Lake Calenhad, she has no idea where to go. New to the world at large, it's only a matter of time before she is caught. Templar Cullen is sent to track her down, but the longer she eludes him, the worse off he becomes. It's only a matter of times before he runs out of lyrium potions.  (I would prefer to play Neria)

Accio Respect - Severus Snape is not a nice man by any stretch of the imagination, nor has anyone ever accused him of being fair, and he most certainly doesn't take kindly to aid or favors. When Hermione Granger finds him lost to the after-effects of the cruciatus curse on night while on rounds, she refuses to leave him be, even when threatened. She does her best to help ease his pain, knowing full well that it isn't going to earn her any brownie points with the surly potion's master. If anything, it only seems to make him more insufferable in the weeks that follow, and Hermione begins to crack under the pressure of his excessive scrutiny and scorn, which only grows worse when Dumbledore concocts a plan to pass Harry off as dead through the use of a new potion, and Hermione volunteers to help with it, determined to show Snape that she is neither incapable (as he seems to be suggesting more and more often these days) nor afraid of him. (I would prefer to play Hermione, but can probably be persuaded to play Snape if you catch me in the right sort of mood)

Once, Twice, Thrice(Mass Effect 2) - Rejected by Garrus, Commander Vera Sherpard finds herself in Chora's Den consoling herself, with drink in hand, until a certain turian detective shows up. Detective Chellik is surprised to see her alive and well, but he needs to act fast, lest his cover be blown. The mercs (a couple of known black market smugglers) in the corner are starting to get antsy and, in a fit of inspiration (or perhaps just desperation), Chellick asks Shepard to pose as his lover so that they might slip safely out of the bar under the guise of 'going somewhere a bit more private' in order to allay mounting suspicions about his reasons for scoping out the den (and avoiding a fire fight). Shepard agrees, and gods how she tries not to note the similarities and differences between Chellick and Garrus, as they move closer. Of course, Sherpard must admit that she knows next to nothing about turian mating habits and she finds herself at a loss when an enraged Garrus turns up and starts after Chellick. Little does she know, Chellick's scent is all over her and Garrus can't handle it. A bit of a crap summary I know. Also note that, in this case, I would be willing to play any one or more of the characters mentioned.

As Ragnarok Approaches (Thor) - He remains suspended in darkness for what seems like an eternity before he hits the ground. Dust rises, settles, and rises again. A figure approaches. Something about it seems familiar. Alright folks, this is meant to be a story whereupon Loki ends up on Midgard (earth) after his fall into the great expanse at the end of Thor, and ends up being found by Darcy, who takes him under her wing and tries to help him adjust to human life. Note that, for much of the story (or the beginning at the very least), Loki's powers/magics will be unreachable, likely a result of trauma. That being said, I plan to have him slowly adjust and fall in love with either Darcy, an OC (male or female), or Thor (come to collect him and return to Asgard). Add in a few crazed nightmares about the world's end and stir quickly. I would prefer to play Loki, but could likely be persuaded to take on another role.

The Contract (The Elder Scrolls Series - Oblivion) - A free-spirited young altmer at the Arcane University may have accidentally stumbled upon the long sought after secret of immortality during a particularly explosive alchemical mishap. The cost  - that which makes life worth living, the senses that make the world vibrant and beautiful. With each death, he loses a small yet integral part of himself and the void brushes against him, tempting him to give in to it until he wants nothing more than to give into its seductive embrace. The Dark Brotherhood never fails to complete a contract. To do so is to invoke the wrath of Sithis and invite death. Navarre St. Rosier is a cold, unforgiving man recently promoted to the rank of speaker, and this mission has been marked specifically for him, but what will the assassin do when he finds that his target cannot be put down for more than a few minutes at a time? Why, get creative of course! He cannot fail and so, he will not. Instead, Navarre resolves to bring the young mage back to the Cheydinhal Sanctuary while he tries to find a way to keep the altmer down for good, but the promise of an unbreakable toy may be too good to pass up. (I would prefer to play Navarre, but could be convinced to play the as yet unnamed altmer)

I'm intrigued by you magic tutelage idea.  What about it appeals to you?

Are you thinking an apprenticeship or a large institution?
Still the world is wondrous large,—seven seas from marge to marge—
And it holds a vast of various kinds of man;
And the wildest dreams of Kew are the facts of Khatmandhu
And the crimes of Clapham chaste in Martaban.

Interested in the teacher x student one. I know it's been done a lot but this would be my first time doing it. If you are interested pm me.

Ia! - I was actually hoping that something of mine would catch your fancy. That being said, I find the reclusive magus instructing the wayward student in the ways of magic to be to my liking. However, I am more a fan of the larger institution based magic teaching/training scenarios whereupon the building of a relationship takes the one and separates them from the many. I think it adds a certain spark to the relationship/mentorship as a whole. That and there tends to be a bit more to prove. As for the general appeal, I find that the connection between two individuals with similar brands of magic / similar abilities is rather intimate, even when a concrete relationship has yet to be formed. What are your thoughts on the matter?

yugi006 - I shall message you shortly to discuss possible scenarios.

What are your thoughts on the matter?

Currently, fairly vague and misty.  Avoiding rebuilding Hogwarts should be easy enough.  My preference would be for a setting that isn't our world, or, at the very least, an alternate version of our world where magic is known and a well-established part of life.

I'd prefer it if you did play female on this one.  I assume you'd prefer to take the role of the student?

My knee-jerk reaction is to do this kinda-sorta traditionally, with one player playing a single student and the other in a semi-GM role, playing the rest of the world.  But that's a knee-jerk based on habit, I'll admit.  ;)  And it certainly wouldn't mean one of us taking on the entire world-building responsibilities and the other being completely passive.  Just that one of us (probably me) would have a bit more latitude towards working in surprises and mysteries.  But this is a point I am extremely flexible on, since it is largely based on habit more than anything else.

I'm thinking we might want to start the world-building with how magic works, especially if that's going to be the first, possibly tenuous, lines of attraction between our principle characters.  We already know we don't want it to work the same for everyone.  And we should probably work a few kinks (the sexual kind, of course) into its operation.  Do you have any particular styles, modes, or models that most appeal to you?

An alternate version of our world ought to work quite well for this particular creative endeavor. I'm thinking magic could be something that resides within all humans, but very few of them have more than a spark or two, causing them to register as ungifted. Those gifted with anything above the norm are sought out and trained, perhaps turned over to a government sanctioned organization within X Kingdom/Territory/What have you. I prefer Kingdoms, as the threat of war and general politics in a more medieval-esque setting, coupled with an inherent fear of magic by the ungifted masses, tends to be a rather fun mix. But of course, I'm open to a great many ideas where settings is concerned. This is merely a single possibility among many.

Female it is! I can handle that. And yes, I would prefer the student role if that is acceptable.

I'm thinking it might be amusing to make characters as we go, the both of us that is. Pull out all the stops, create little twists and obstacles for one another. We could divide it by students/younger character and adults, or simply create what we wish to create as we move forward. Granted, if you would like to assume control over the majority of the characters in order to craft the hierarchy/balance of power I would be equally amenable to that. I really could go either way, so do feel free to bow to habit if you wish. I do love surprises. o.o

You had me at magical kink. I've always been fascinated by the way in which different worlds' magics affect the interactions between those who possess it. Adding some sort of sexual element / undercurrent to those with either similar or opposing elements. Though I'm not entirely sure that elements was the word I was looking for. While I have yet to come up with a particular design//model for the magic and its workings just yet, I would like to avoid the traditional based on the elements / each person embodies some element sort of magic, as I find that it tends to eliminate more possibilities than it creates.

Shall we continue to work out the specifics of the magic/setting/characters via pm?
