Dark Deception

A Dark Tale

Once upon a time in a land far, far away, there existed a realm by the name of Fantasia. The forests were green, the rivers were crystal, and all sorts of flora and fauna lived in harmony. There were creatures one might have dreamt of or read about in storybooks; and in this land, no tale was ever wrong. In this land, fairytales were real.

There were princes and angel-haired damsels, trolls, goblins, ogres, and demons—fairies, dwarves, and talking animals and trees. They all existed here. But alas, as most tales go, the stories are not always peaceful.

One day, the king and queen of Fantasia discovered a complication. The queen was sterile and the king desired an heir. Although loving his wife more than anything, he was slowly giving in to the suggestions from his adviser to divorce her. A maidservant happened to overhear the discussion amongst the king and his adviser and quickly relayed the news to the queen. Fearful and distraught, the queen called for the most powerful being in all the land unaware that her wish would change Fantasia for several years.

A witch came to the queen with the solution she sought. In a vial, the witch carried a bloody serum that within it held a black seed. She said to the queen that the seed would give her a child and that her king would love her again, but unknowingly to her, the seed was far from normal. Desperately, the queen took the vial and sent the witch away. In just a few days, the queen became round and plump with a child. The king was overjoyed and all of Fantasia celebrated.

As days passed into weeks, to the king’s horror, the queen would not stop growing and soon was crazed and bedridden. The queen's condition was kept in tight secrecy from the rest of the kingdom, and any that dare speak of the situation were either killed or disappeared.

One night, the queen was found dead, her belly torn open as though something had clawed its way out. The king was found murdered, and striding back into the castle was the witch, taking the throne of Fantasia as queen. All the creatures of the land were left in ignorance to what had happened that night. Rumors said the queen gave birth to a monster that was now controlled by the new queen. Whatever the story be, Fantasia was no longer the same again.

There was a new monarch that cast her dark hand across the kingdom, destroying or enslaving those who wished to oppose her. Fantasia quickly morphed from a land of milk and honey to a land corrupted by sin.

The Main Plot – The Run Down

There are two main factions that exist in this role play: The White Order a.k.a. The Rebellion and The Dark Court a.k.a. The Queen's Legion. You will plot your character’s story around those factions. As for neutrals, I am only allowing three neutral slots in order to avoid there being more neutral characters than there are characters in either faction. So the three neutral slots are first-come first-serve and the characters that wish to be neutral must have profiles that pass the profile process. If they don’t, then the slots will be open.

In this RP, players will be secretly plotting against other players. Depending on how sides team up against each other will determine if this RP has a “happily ever after” or not. So understand that your characters are capable of making serious mistakes that can lead to the advantage of the other team. Also understand that this is a storyline game. I put this on Elliquiy because this is a mature role play, but this RP is more storyline than porn. If you want to join this game for the sole purpose having your character screw another character and that is all, then I will ask you to leave the game.

The Setting

This was a little difficult to convey, so I hope you get an idea of what I'm looking for after reading this. The fashion is 1800s Victorian Era, but the technology is 1700s, meaning guns do not exist and gunpowder only exists as fireworks. The transportation is horse and carriage. I will also allow lace being invented during this time (even though that was 1900s). The architecture is 1800s to early 1900s. I hope this help conveys my crazy idea. All this and fantasy. Medieval is even allowed.

Animals talk, sometimes trees can too, but you'll be allowed to have free reign over those ideas. Fairy tale aspects are always allowed here since this is a fairytale RP.

Oh yes, and this is a horror RP. There shall be horror aspects.

Characters

The only kinds of characters permitted in this game are characters from: Grimm Fairy Tales and Hans Christian Andersen. No other storylines are allowed. You can Google these fairytales to get ideas for a character that is not currently listed. The characters listed below must be role played as their gender. I will not allow for there to be a male red riding hood. If they were female in the fairy tales, then they must be female. If they were male in the fairy tales, then they must be male. Some of the characters below have set jobs and positions already, so any characters that aren’t listed below that you decide to make, you must run their job by me.

You are allowed to portray the characters however way you like. Characters that are animals do not have to appear anthropomorphic or straight up quadruped. They can be human with animal features. Go crazy with the background history, but to enhance interaction, try to form histories around enemies or other characters. Please avoid dictating another character’s life. If you Rp a character that originally was paired in a fairy tale with another, if a player ever decides to join as that character, I doubt he or she will want to RP what you dictated happened to him or her. So please write a history focused ONLY on the character you’re playing. That way, if a character joins that is related to the fairytale your character is from, THEN you can rewrite the background to fit him or her in.

Yes, you are allowed to role play a character that will eventually become good or a character that will eventually become bad. The "***" next to a role's name are roles that MUST be filled in order for the RP to begin.

Just adding some new information here. I will not be allowing anyone to role play The Snow Queen. She's just kind of overpowered. Her story also kind of seems too big for this RP and would conflict with the queen of Fantasia. So no snow queen. I'm sorry.

The Queen’s Legion

  • ***The Wicked Queen (The Witch)Nazora – Leader – the queen is wise in the art of potions and spells. Magic is her forte as well as her best weapon. She is a clever and devious leader who is not to be taken lightly even by her own subjects. A player wishing to take on this role must be confident in his or her ability to play an evil ruler. This role is very important.
  • ***The Wolf a.k.a. The Big Bad WolfEbb – General – A Master of Disguise and loyal knight of the queen.
  • ***GoldilocksLuella – General – Mistress and enslaver of all talking animals. She hates bears especially.
  • The Frog Prince - Dark Deception - General - A cursed prince turned monster by the magic of a wicked fairy.
  • The Shadow Princess - ladyelizabeth - General/Deceiver - A dark princess of the court.
  • Sleeping Beauty - Serishen - Seer - A narcoleptic and useful addition to the Dark Court. Despite her condition, her premonitions can prove to be rather haunting.
  • Rumpelstiltskin - Goss - Blacksmith - The ironworker of the court with kidnapping tendencies.

New players can be added to the above list. Be sure to run your character by the GM.

NPC Evil Subjects

  • The Three Little Pigs – Three piggy lords that run a brothel where they enslave young men and women. They are fat and wealthy piglets that love to make money and also love to whore around. They are pigs after all. They work under The Wolf.
  • The Muffin Man – The Muffin Man? Who lives on Dreary Lane? Yes, The Muffin Man. He assists the evil queen by baking her giant Gingerbread Men or otherwise known as Golems. They range in sizes from giant to tiny proportions. These creations are only out for one thing, blood.
  • Matilda – The queen’s cousin. Hansel and Gretel would remember her best. She is the old woman that lives in a house of desirable sweets. You don’t want to eat her desserts or you’ll never be able to stop. She loves rounding up fat little boys and girls to bake into delicious cookies. She is a cannibal. Don’t let her sweet and frail nature fool you, she is quite lethal and very frightening. Thought to had been killed long ago, the witch has returned thanks to her cousin’s rise to power.
  • Humpty Dumpty - Minister of Propaganda - court jester, town crier, and propaganda master. He sits on a wall and shouts queen's news to the world. [created by Nazora]
  • Trolls, Goblins, Giants, Gargoyles, Demons and Gnomes – They are the typical henchmen of the queen. They can be found as soldiers, scouts, guards, etc.

The Rebellion

  • ***Little Red Riding Hoodmidnight diamond – Leader – Perhaps no longer “little.” She is the creator and leader of The White Order. A once innocent little girl gone dangerous, she swears revenge on The Wolf. A player choosing to RP this character must be confident in their ability to lead. This is a very important role.
  • Little BearDownfall347 – Knight/Berserker - One of the three bears, whatever happened to his parents? Far from “little” the bear has grown up and swears revenge on Goldielocks.
  • HanselAusGre – Executioner - A long time ago, he and his sister escaped the clutches of Matilda. It was thanks to his sister that he wasn’t trapped under her spell. [D e a d]
  • GretelLadyDiscord – Executioner – A long time ago, she and her brother escaped the clutches of Matilda. She freed her brother from Matilda’s clutches and swore they had killed her long ago.
  • Puss in BootsDino – Strategist/Assassin – She’s not just your average cat.
  • The Valiant Little Tailor - Moon Hound Hati - Conman - A clever addition to The Order, Tailor proves to be an asset to the faction by taking on the dirty jobs. He is capable of getting the group information or materials most cannot.
  • Snow White - Open - Boss of Seven - She is the mafia head, dona, and leader of the notorious group known as Seven. Remember Snow White and the Seven Dwarves? Well, you haven't heard this version.

New players can be added to the above list. Be sure to run your character by the GM.

NPC Allies of the Rebellion

  • Talking Animals – These fable creatures are usually enslaved. Animals used to talk, but ever since the rise of the new queen, they have become afraid to. The animals aren’t stupid. They are smart and hear better than you think.
  • Fairies, Plants, Elves & Dwarves - These creatures are also friendlies if they aren't slaves, caged, or servants to the queen in some way.
  • Seven - They are the notorious, seven dwarven killers. [Any of these seven NPCs can become an actual playable character if a player is interested]
More may be added as the story progresses

Neutrals
Rapunzel - Pearl Ruby - Potion Maker - A troubled, once-enchantress, owner of the Apothecary in Brogdin. She is renown for her master potion-making and experimentations.
The Little Mermaid - Aragem - Prostitute - An exile with the gift of song. She's not just a woman. Prostitute at The Three Little Pig's Brothel.

Rules

1.   OOC will remain in the OOC thread. That is what the OOC is made for so please do not post OOC bubbles in the IC. If you’re going somewhere or are trying to talk to someone specifically, PM them or use the OOC thread. Thanks.
2.   Do not post pictures in the IC thread. I never saw the point in that. We can always go see who your character is. Please don’t post pictures in the IC thread. Also, I notice some people like to post pictures in the IC thread because they feel it helps them convey what they are describing better. Usually people who post pictures in the IC thread, post ridiculously enormous pics. If you are a writer, then conveying the mental image you're trying to present in your writing won't be difficult. A mental image is more effective than an actual image because the reader's opinion creates what you're trying to describe. If you are reliant on pictures, then use this RP to learn how to not be reliant on them and to practice bettering description and detail in your writing.
3.   Do not auto-hit another player’s character. There is a correct way to attack the character of another player and that is to write the action as an intention. Meaning it hasn’t happened yet, but depending on the other players response, it can happen. Example: Bob swings his fist at Jay’s jaw. In that statement, the action was never confirmed to have happened. The intention is just there. In the case of two characters running into conflict, I recommend they discuss how the fight will occur in the OOC to eliminate any drama.
4.   What I say goes. I try to be as fair as possible, if you’re trying to ask a favor of me that I say “No” to, then please respect that it’s no. Do not argue with me. No is no.
5.   Interaction. Do not join this RP if you do not plan on interacting with another player. I will not allow tea parties. Tea parties are when two players constantly post to one another and ignore everyone else. This RP kind of makes interaction very impossible. I don’t see why a tea party would start up when your characters are all working together. If your characters are separated from the group, then this is fine. I’m sure you know what I mean by tea parties anyway, so I’m not going to drawl this explanation on.
6. Respect each other’s O/Os. I recommend players keep in contact with anyone they are interacting with. Always make sure that what you are doing doesn’t offend another player. If there is a problem in the RP that you wish to tell me, the GM, you are welcome to PM if you think it may affect your continuation with this RP.
7. Do not control another player’s character. Always give the other player a chance to respond. If you feel impatient, then go do something else. Take a break. There is no hurry.
8. Post at least 200 words. This isn’t a lot. I just do not like one-lining. So please try and meet the 200 words minimum.
9. Communication. This is what makes RPs last a long time. If you disappear please be courteous to let us know in the OOC. I can make adjustments to the RP this way. If you quit, then please say you’re leaving. But once you quit, please refrain from talking in the OOC. Once you are gone, you are gone. The OOC is for players involved in this storyline.
10. RP Speed I expect people to post once a day or at least 2 to 3 times a week. I understand everyone is busy. I'm busy at times. I want this RP to move at a comfortable speed. If a player hasn't posted for 4 days straight, without informing the Rpers of his or her negligence, then skip him or her.
11. No Futanari Self-explanatory.
12. Have fun. Please write enough so that we can appreciate your character. I am very lenient with this RP, but please don’t give me a reason to be strict. Use spell check, read over your posts, and don’t post for the hell of it. If no one has posted yet, then don’t just post to post because it makes you feel accomplished. That is clutter. Do not clutter up the RP. At the end of the day, when people get out of classes or off work, they want to come online and find something worth reading. Just go find something to do until someone posts a reply.

Q&A

Q: I plan to use the profile template, but am I allowed to plot the profile however I wish?

A: I want everyone to use the template, but if you wish to create your own layout, you are welcome to. You are also allowed to mention any information that you think will be important or portrays your character best.

Clarifications

This is a dark role play. There will be macabre. What there won't be are any fetishes that involve toiletries. There will be gore, sex, maybe rape, and just things along the dark fantasy lines. This won't be Clive Barker and this won't be Playboy (meaning endless gore or endless porn). This is simply a RP with a storyline. I expect everyone to respect each other's O/Os at all times. This is RP will be placed in: NC: Exotic Free-form Small Groups.

If the character you chose didn't have a name in the story, you are welcome to give him or her a name for this RP.

Nazora

I'm a big fan of your role-play ideas, they never fail to amaze me.

I would love to play the wicked queen. I'm going to use the profile template but I am wondering if the profile for the wicked queen would be different in any way. I'm busy, but I'll find a way to fit it in.
All about what I like!

Info: I find that 98% of the time my interest in a story outlasts that of the other party. If you are no longer interested in continuing a story, please let me know promptly so I'm not checking the thread.  Thank you.

Status: Posting a bit slowly due to chaotic schedule, bear with me please.

You are free to use the character code as a guide. If you want to write more than what the guide offers feel free. I will be adding this question to Q&A, and I have reserved The Wicked Queen for you.

Update

I made some changes to the Puss in Boots character. Originally, the character was male, but I am making that role an exception. Puss can be either male or female, and I have marked the role as "Open." It was closed originally, but I opened it for grabs.

I also added a new rule.

Moon Hound Hati

I was just going down the Grimm's Fairy Tales list on wikipedia after reading your setup and thought the Valiant Little Tailor might be a nice addition and fun to role play. Mind if I play him? I'm not sure which side he'd be on though. Judging by his tale's summary, he seems like a very manipulative guy, but not evil or anything; just very cunning.

Here's the link if you want to take a look for yourself.

But if it's not allowed, the big bad wolf sounds like a fun role too.

Dark Deception

I think it sounds fine. I can't think of a side to suggest for him to be on either. He can always be neutral since I'm allowing three slots. But it depends on what side you feel like playing or you think you'd play best. I can imagine the Tailor being a recruiter, negotiator, or as they say, swindler lol. He just seems on the same level of guile as Puss in Boots.

Moon Hound Hati

Well, I guess he could be like the more shady member of the good guys, the one most of the others are weary of but who can get them the harder to acquire things like illegal items or dirt on their enemies. A swindler, as you say; a black marketeer; a con man; a manipulator.

A Dirty Harry lol. Yes, I'm sure he'd be the best man to get them things most can't.

I'll go make the sheet then. Already found a nice pic for him. :)

Val Tailor

Alias: The Valiant Little Tailor
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Height: 6 feet and 1 inch / 1.86 meters
Weight: 176 pounds / 80 kilograms
Basic Appearance: Having spend some time as a pirate before joining the rebellion, the Valiant Little Tailor still incorporates some of the dress style into his own. Most notable is his parrot companion, who has a mouth worse than many a seaman.

Personality: The Valiant Little Tailor -- "Val" or "Tailor" for short -- is not a good man, and he'd be the first to admit it. He manipulates both friend and foe when the opportunity presents itself and is hardly a novice at lying, deceiving, and telling half truths. He knows how to exploit ones weaknesses, or how to turn ones strengths against oneself, making him a noteworthy foe both on and outside the field of combat.

Likes: Mystery novels, mint tea, teaching his parrot new swear words and insults, seeking his fortune.
Dislikes: Royalty, the military, giants, unicorns.
Psychological Disorder(s): Though it has not been confirmed, some believe he might be a compulsive liar.

Background: Born a common tailor's son, he set out at a young age to seek his fortune and become something more than a simple tailor like his father. The young man's bright mind was soon corrupted by the harshness of the world and its inhabitants. But rather than succumbing to it, he adapted to it, using his cunning and intelligence to deceive and manipulate others to his own advantage. The world was his apple tree, and he was picking ripe ones left and right. After spending almost two years at sea as a pirate on one of the more infamous pirate ships, he joined the rebellion under the guise of wanting to free the land of oppression just like them. However, his main motive was to hide from the pirates he had robbed blind after slowly and carefully gaining their complete faith and trust over the last two years. Though far from being a fully trusted member of the organisation, he does prove his worth to the rebellion by supplying them with hard to get information and items from the black market. His real name is unknown to both ally and enemy, but he goes by the made up name of Val Tailor, which is a play on his nickname, "The Valiant Little Tailor".

Partner: No one.
Weaponry: Having grown up a tailor's son, it was almost natural for him to trade in the needle for its larger cousin, the elegant rapier. Strapped to his right lower arm, just beneath the part covered by his long gloves, he has a wristband packed with several thin needles. However, those are not sewing needles, but rather needles used for acupuncture. However, he still carries a normal needle and thread around for other reasons.
Powers: He has the ability to sew closed small to moderate wounds or gashes with needle and thread, after which the injury will heal itself within moments without leaving any visible scars. It cannot heal deep wounds that cause internal bleeding or other such serious injuries. Aside from that, Tailor also uses the mysterious eastern art of acupuncture to paralyze specific parts of and enemy's body by placing tiny needles on specific pressure points. He can use this skill with deadly accuracy, even in the heat of battle, and rumours say that he even knows a pressure point on the body that can cause the victim to die horribly.

@ LadyDiscord: I'll reserve Gretel for you.

@Moon Hound Hati: Accepted. I'll make a character thread when we get more players. Your screen name reminds me of the Norse Mythology Rp I wanted to make. I have its blue prints, but I won't be going through with the idea unless some RPs I'm currently in die off first.

Just to let other players know who may be reading or plotting characters that I am unaware of. I'm currently working on The Frog Prince. I was going to be Puss in Boots at first, but meh. Someone else can play him/her.

╬══→мαɾgαrєt╬══→

Alias: Gretel The Witch Hunter. Formerly Little Margaret (Gretel in German).
Age:  20
Gender: Female
Height: 5’6
Weight: 127 lbs
Basic Appearance:
Appearance
uniform 1
uniform 2
Personality: Gretel is witty. She has always been witty ever since she was little girl. Always thinking and pondering about how to fix things or solve a problem. Her quick wit and slick tongue have always been a part of her appeal. Since the days of her childhood her best interest was to always take care of brother for she loves and cares for him deeply in a way that is almost borderline romantic. However her dreams soon turned to dust in her hands when she found out that the Matilda had survived her trickery. At first Gretel wasn’t willing to believe that the witch lived because she had seen the witch burn and watched her die or at least she thought she did. Gretel is as logical as she is beautiful, but her willingness to kill can prove problematic.  Over the years trust has not been easily to gain with her and now every old and ugly woman she see’s she shutter’s at in distaste. She hates trolls, goblins and anything else ugly and frightful. On the other side she is very passionate almost to the point of obsessing. Like any Heroine she dreams of returning the land into the beautiful realm it once was. However she is not as quick to adapting to situations like her brother. So she has become ‘darker’ with a “hit first ask question later” attitude towards solving problems. The best way to remove a obstacle or solve a problem is to kill it.
Likes: The idea of revenge on Matilda, sweets and shiny objects.
Dislikes: Injustice, that terrible queen ,Old ugly women, when men call her “sweetie” and Matilda.
Psychological Disorder(s): Obsessive compulsive
Background: She remembers those things they witch made her do and say. Every action lead to her further betraying her brother. She remembered giving in to despair and realizing that the evil old woman would have her to as soon as she was done with her brother. Eventually she got tired of crying and praying and built enough courage and hatred in heart to defy the old man-eater. When she pushed that woman into oven and watched her burned she took a moment to watch and it indulged her. That’s completely normal for one to seek justice even at the cost of killing, but somehow the old woman didn’t die. It eats at her every day the thought of Matilda surviving. She joined the rebellion to seek vengeance and swore that then next time her and Matilda meet will be the last time. In between then she uses her wits and femininity to get her way.
Partner: Hansel
Weaponry:
Spear ➸In the presence of evil the alicorn will glow with  bright light. Her spear is nearly unbreakable. It can pierce through anything and when summon by it's wielder it will appear. The weapon it's self has a slight intelligence to it. The alicorn horn it's self can purify any tainted element such as water that has been poisoned or venom from a snake bite.

Bloody Rose

Mmm can I make one of the Neutral people? I am maybe planning to do a half girl half cat character (if that is allowed? I did not read anything not allowing this so I thought I better ask first)

The half-cat girl has to be an actual someone. If she's not a character from a fairytale or a talking animal (and I mean animal not half or anthropomorphic) or any one of the listed miscellaneous creatures, then I won't be allowing it because I don't want non-fairytale creatures popping up in a fairytale RP.

Edit: You know, if you were making a half-cat girl, you could just make her Puss in Boots, and if you were hoping for Puss in Boots to be neutral, I can make it so.

@Dino: If you think you can handle the leadership portion of LRRH, then be my guest (oh god, Disney reference  O:)). I only expect the player, playing Red to be the one who is organizing the "hits," "infiltrations," and keeping everyone in the know by arranging meetings. She will be organizing most things, and if she needs assistance, then she can look to her strategist for ideas. But if you need OOC assistance to make sure what you're doing doesn't seem rushed or affect the plot, you can always PM me. I can also help you arrange some things so that it follows a plot. Perhaps slip you suggestions so you're walking into one of my NPC-run storylines (such as any of the NPC enemies).

@Luella: I'm glad you found someone you like. Welcome aboard =D.

Oh yes, I'm reserving Little Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks. I'm reserving LRRH just in case if you decide to take her on.

As for me, I'm still working on The Frog Prince. No, he isn't hard, but I had realized I had a ton of homework due for French Literature last night. I was up until 6am doing it. My professor is crazy. I should have him up by tonight (perhaps in my wine class), but if I don't, it's because I'm working on another chapter of French. Just French, French, French...

Dark Deception

The role of Red Riding Hood is open. It is no longer reserved. I only ask that any players seeking to play any of the "Leader" roles understand that they are important in the sense that if you are playing that role and are ever called away or forced to go away on hiatus (leave the RP) or for any reasons, the RP can fall apart if I can't find a replacement. Usually, it is very hard to find a replacement if the RP gets deep into the SL. So, just understand how dedicated and committed you have to be to play the "Leader" roles. I'm not asking you to post every day or every second. I said in the rules either once a day or 2 to 3 times a week, which isn't much. If you need more time, if you're going to be held up for a couple days, just let us know and you'll be all right.

Dark Deception

#21
The Frog Prince
Face Claim – Brandon Stoughton

Name: Prince Alrick Gerste
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 175lbs.
Personality: The Prince used to think highly of himself that is until he was transformed into a frog. The world has made him bitter since. Children try to catch him and little boys try to harm him. Women scream upon seeing him and try to kill him. He has long lost his appreciation for human food. When he gazes at fine wine and roast, he doesn’t smell or see anything desirable as he once did, but flesh is another thing. As a frog, he not only just enjoys the slurp and crunch of insects and vermin, but the chomp and chew of human meat. The Frog no longer trusts others, and feeling that no woman would ever change him back into a prince, he has become quite diabolical with his eating habit.
Likes: Women, eating others, bugs, ponds, travelling, and learning new things.
Dislikes: Peasants, people who remind him of his curse, the ill-mannered and unkind.
Psychological Disorder(s): Trust issues, pride, and self-loathing.
Background: Once upon a time, there lived a prince in a glorious castle. He was handsome and wealthy, and felt that he could have anything he so desired: the hearts of women, riches, and endless pleasantries. It was one day when he had caught the heart of the wrong woman, an evil fairy, that she turned him into a frog and tried to eat him. The prince, however, discovered that when exposed to a certain level of water that he grows in size. In retaliation, the prince ate the fairy and fled his kingdom in shame and embarrassment.

The prince travelled the world, seeking one with the power to undo the fairy’s curse. He learned that Fantasia’s new queen was a powerful witch and so travelled to the kingdom with hopes that the queen would take pity on him. Feeling sorry for the prince, the witch gave him a seed and said if he ate it, he would become human again. The seed transformed the prince into a monster that the witch unleashed upon the land to devour and destroy villages and towns. She hopes that in the monster frog’s craze that he would destroy the rebellion that had been secretly rising against her.
Partner: HeinrichNPC – Alrick’s servant that has been following him around, making sure he is well. He sympathizes with the prince and is trying to find a way to cure him from his curse and the witch’s spell.
Weaponry: Tongue, venom, and appetite.
Powers
  • Devour - as a frog, the prince can devour almost anything. People, weapons, magic, if it goes into his mouth, chances are, it won’t be seen again.
  • Venom – A disgusting sludge the frog will spew from his mouth to coat anything in its path and reduce it to nothing.
  • Mucus Guard – The frog can secrete a sticky film that covers his body and acts like a glue to cling to several things.
  • Tongue Lash – The frog’s tongue is dangerous. It is what he uses to snatch up food.
  • Vocal Shield – The frog’s vocal sac swells and deflates when he is croaking, but it can also swell to become a shield against frontal attacks.
  • Leap & Climb – The frog can leap great distances and cling to large buildings.
  • Water Absorption – When not a monster frog, the only way the prince would have been able to reach colossal heights is if he was exposed to a body of water. His body absorbs the water and thus increases his size, but when not around water for too long, he’ll shrink back into a dinky frog.
Passive traits: the frog carries a foul odor and frogs migrate wherever he goes. He is a prince after all. One may notice the plague of small frogs entering a town or city before they see the beast that’s following.

Not the scariest frog one might have ever seen, but there aren't too many monster frog pictures without the monster no longer looking like a frog.

Frog Monster Written Appearance: The frog is enormous, warty, and one can smell the beast from miles away. He smells like a bog, and it’s even worse when he’s in close proximity. When he’s a tiny frog, it’s not as awful. The frog’s skin is thick with protective black warts, sticky with mucus, and two, long antennae stretch from the bridge of the frog’s nose to fold back behind his head. The frog is fat and round with a short, tadpole-like tail. When face to face with the beast, he is quite a frightening sight.

If the prince ever becomes a prince again, well, then this profile will read a bit differently, but for now, he’s this way for event purposes IC.

Nazora

Alias: The Evil Queen.

Age: ???

Gender: Female

Height: 5’7

Weight: Unknown

Basic Appearance: An elegant woman of famed and ponderous beauty. Her silky raven hair falls in a delicate straight line to her ankles like strands of liquid, yet has a sheen like silver under most lighting. Her dark eyes are firm and commanding as if the very elements would obey her. She casts a tall and stately figure, long and slender yet with well defined curves. Her body remains eternally youthful, her soft ivory skin as soft and smooth as a freshly opened rose petal. As far as dress she does not prefer full regalia unless there is occasion for it. Most times she can be found in something elegant, feminine, and comfortable yet flattering to her form.

Personality: Ruthless, devious, and cunning. The queen gained her power by her ability to stop at nothing and spare no one who was in her way, and she retains and expands her power via the same means. She would put her own parents through a meat grinder if she felt it would further even an auxiliary goal or help her subjugate a far off province. Persistence is her forte, she will stop at nothing to get what she wants, yet she is willing to go the long way around if that is the deemed the best way to achieve a goal. The queen a thinker, a strategist, a tactician, and a chess master who moves her people around like expendable objects in a game. To hold her power she is more than willing to entertain disagreement and infighting among her most powerful minions, as it must be seen that no one acquires enough power to challenge her authority, especially among those she regards as her own. At times she will pretend to be caring, loving and merciful in the most convincing manner, but only as a means to an end. Her favor can be gained, but it must come at the price of blind and unswerving loyalty to her will. Yet one might get the impression that if everyone obeyed her absolutely she’d have no one to plot her intrigues against and would become bored rather quickly.

Likes: Those who obey without question, acquiring power, plotting intrigues against her enemies, making potions that disfigure or turn people into monsters, magic, the art of seduction, the night.

Dislikes: Day light, Old People, Enchanted mirrors, Ignorance, Stupidity, Exhausting her magic, and those who profess a higher cause as a motive.

Psychological Disorder(s): She likes to impregnate her enemies with malicious beings if they are women. Watching her enemies struggle as they grow hugely with a beast is something that she gets a sexual pleasure from. She considers the former queen one of her greatest art works.

Background: After acquiring the curse of immortality, she lived in the swamps as an old witch while centuries passed. Over this time she devoted herself to the study and practice of magic. Eventually she became an incredibly powerful sorceress, a legend of the swamps that people sought for favors and made trades with. She could not find death, but she found power, and in her power, she was able to make a pact with a demon. If she could not find death, then she would find yet more power and gain back a youthful form as well. Fantasia would soon taste of her suffering. The demon she made a pact with wanted to be born into the world, she wanted a youthful and beautiful form so she could rule over fantasia. A deal was struck.

Partner: No one.

Weaponry: None

Powers Potions that transform and disfigure. Magical abilities that manipulate available elements. (More Details later)

Luella

Character Sheet

Alias: Goldilocks
Age:  Unknown (resembles a young girl, but she is far from young)
Gender:Female
Height: 150cm
Weight: petite
Basic Appearance: Goldilocks looks like a little innocent child but looks can be deceiving. People and creatures alike have been drawn to her angelic looks. She dresses in white frocks and carries a bloodied teddy bear in her arms, with a bandage over its left eye.

Personality: Sweet on the outside, evil on the inside. Goldilocks is known for her charming childlike beauty. She uses this to her advantage to seduce everyone that crosses her path. Like a child, Goldilocks likes to play games with her subjects, and sometimes the games can get quite cruel and bloody. Goldilocks behaves like a child and addresses the Evil Queen as her 'mother'. If anyone insults or tried to take away her toy bear, she will throw a tantrum and start plotting ways to kill the person.

Likes: Sweets, toys, toying with her victims
Dislikes: Bears, not getting her way

Psychological Disorder(s): Loves to inflict Stockholm syndrome upon her victims, watching the look of betrayal on their eyes before killing them off.

Background: Goldilocks grew up in a cottage in the forest. One day, when her parents were out, she decided to explore. Taking Mr. Worddlesnout with her, she discovered a little quint cottage in the forest. Little did she know they were inhibited by bears. She spent the day there, trying out their cute furniture, tasting their porridge but when night fell, the bears returned and chased her off, destroying Mr. Worddlesnout. Enraged, something snapped inside her. In the very same night, Goldilocks returned to the bears cottage and had a little game with them, killing off the bears, leaving the little one cowering in fear at the corner. Bathed in the blood of the bears, Goldilocks changed that night under the full moon. La Luna frowned upon her actions and punished her by not allowing her to grow up, but to spend eternity as a child.

Partner: Her toy bear, Mr. Worddlesnout
Weaponry: (none, she uses what she can find)
Powers: (none)

Wow...this sounds like a really great roleplay. I'd love to give it a go. I am soooo tempted to try my hand at Little Red Riding Hood--I can already picture her in my head. Now if only I can find an image that will do her justice.

Dark Deception

Many replies, and I'm always happy to see them :p. Now, where shall I begin:

@ Lady Discord: You made Gretel quite the warrior so perhaps give her powers or "skills" based around how you imagine her fighting. She has a spear made from an alicorn's horn, perhaps it has magic powers that can assist her in combat?

@Luella: Your profile for Goldilocks is just brilliant. I love it! You are accepted~ (sings)

@midnight diamond: I am reserving Red Riding Hood for you.

That is right folks. For any who may be browsing this recruitment thread, we need a Big Bad Wolf. Now, don't look at this message first before reading the front page. Read the front page, and then look at this message to see if you're still interested. The Big Bad Wolf is another general beneath the Evil Queen, and he also has ties to The Three Little Pigs' Brothel. I will be GMing the pig lords, so you won't have to NPC them, but how you interact and use them for digging up dirt is up to you as the player of the Big Bad Wolf. So, if I get any interest, I'll reserve the spot until you can get a profile up.

As soon as the Wolf and Red players get a profile up (no hurry): I'll make the character thread that we can post all of our profiles into, and this RP will remain open to any other players who wish to join either the Dark Side or the rebellion. I will create three threads: one thread for The Rebellion, the second for the Queen and her dark legion, and the third will be a plain-old Burg where any events can happen in. If the players IC ever decide they may need to go somewhere else, they can let me know, and I'll just make another thread for them, such as if they visit The Three Little Pig's Brothel or The Muffin Man's domain.

So that's the run down folks. I'll also be keeping a log called "Chapters" that I'll post on the front page and perhaps the OOC thread to keep everyone up to date. So if new players would like to join, they can read the chapter summaries and pretty much be caught up.

There are a few things I would like to discuss with you guys concerning how the first chapter is going to go:

1) Would you guys prefer for Red to recruit your characters? Say, she is having a meeting and you guys with interest in The White Order (The Rebellion) show up at the secret meeting, and any plans she decides to come up with can be discussed there. Likewise, the evil queen can have a gathering of her generals and mention the suspected and unconfirmed rumors of a rebellion forming. She can issue the generals their duties (whatever she decides), and the drama can kick off from there.

2) The first IC event I'd like to happen to get out the way is The Frog Prince. He's going to be a "boss" so to say and depending on how things go IC, he can be changed back to a normal frog (if they find Heinrich) and he might even become human  ::) (not saying he has to because I can RP him a frog just fine). That'll just be the first event to get everyone warmed up. How you guys decide to go to war or learn about each other's whereabouts is up to you.

3) Now, I have been thinking about a name for "The Dark Side," like something that has "Knights" in it since she's a queen, but if you guys have any ideas for a name, feel free to share. If it sounds cool, then we'll go with it.

4) If you have any questions from now into later, feel free to ask them even if you think I might say No. You just never know. We are always accepting more characters as long as they come from Grimm or Anderson. Don't let the front page deceive you, if you come up with characters you'd like to try out, then "be my guest" (I said it again!)

Here we are. Comments and changes are welcome.

Alias: The Big Bad Wolf
Age:  45
Gender: Male
Height: 6 foot, 9 inches
Weight: 240 pounds

Basic Appearance: In his natural form the Wolf looks like a classic werewolf, complete with dark fur, slavering jaws and bipedal, though slightly hunched, stance. Despite his lupine muzzle and permanent claws he can speak clearly and seems to have no problems manipulating small objects. The Wolf typically does not wear clothes.

Personality: The Wolf is a beast of ferocious appetites, often a slave to his bestial needs. He is cunning, however, capable of exerting great subtlety in the pursuit of that which he desires, whether it be food, sex or simple, brutal violence. He is brash and boasting, and considers only one being, the Queen, to be his superior. She is his Alpha, and he serves her unquestioningly.

Likes: Gluttony, Power, Sex, Blood, Terrorizing those weaker than himself

Dislikes: Patience, Restraint, Any fight where his side doesn’t have a distinct advantage, Admitting defeat, Vegetables

Psychological Disorder(s): Rage issues, Lack of self control, Cowardice in the face of defeat, Bullying behaviors, Nymphomania, Narcissism

Background: Once upon the time there was a Wolf, who was born the runt of his litter. He grew up in the shadow of his larger brothers and sisters, learning the ways of bullying from the receiving end. One day hunters came to the corner of the woods where he and his family lived. Seeing an opportunity for revenge, he made a deal with the hunters. In exchange for his safety, he led the men to where his family lay sleeping, and then watched as they were slaughtered and skinned. Once the skins were taken, the Wolf ate what remained of his family, becoming bigger and stronger with each meal.

The hunters became frightened of the much larger Wolf, though, and pursued him through the woods. He was injured and barely managed to escape, coming eventually to the cottage of the Evil Queen in the swamps. She healed him, feeding him elixirs and bits of living faeries, until he became the strong and magical creature that he is today.

Now he serves the Queen who has taken her rightful place on the throne of Fantasia. He craves her approval, and is thus terribly easy to manipulate. In the Wolf’s mind he has no equals and only one superior; the notion that the Queen’s generals are of the same rank is laughable, but he understands why She might wish to perpetuate that fiction.

[At some point should write a summary of his past encounter with Red Riding Hood. There’s definitely meat there for roleplay, but I’d prefer to work it out with whomever ends up playing Red.]

Partner: The Wolf has no partner, but he oversees the Three Little Pigs and their brothel operation. “Oversight” in this case often means arriving unannounced, having his way with any of the staff, threatening to consume the Pigs, drinking the good wine, and then leaving. They put up with this because between his visits they have a pretty easy life, and they couldn’t stop him if they wanted to. He is supposed to keep track of the money too, but money only interests the Wolf in terms of what he can immediately get with it. Counting coins bores him to tears.

Weaponry: Powerful teeth and claws. The Wolf can eat nearly anything.

Powers He can consume almost anything, even things that are bigger than himself. In the past he has been known to eat six whole goats in one sitting. Curiously, the things that he consumes often remain intact, and there have been incidents where he has been cut open only to have those consumed emerge apparently unharmed. Having no pockets, the Wolf will occasionally swallow items and then regurgitate them in order to carry them from place to place.

The Wolf has the trick of Glamour, earned from a Faerie he once devoured. He is able to disguise his appearance and voice, normally to become someone whom his next victim trusts. This would make him an ideal spy, but he doesn’t have the patience to remain undercover for extended periods; usually he only pulls this trick for a few minutes at a time.

It is rumored that the Wolf’s father was the North Wind. From him the Wolf has inherited the ability to blow a great and powerful blast of air, strong enough to knock down all but the strongest dwellings. He can only do this three times a day.

The Wolf is a master of the Woods, and knows many of the secret paths and shortcuts through that dark place. In general, though, he is not on good terms with most of the animals that dwell there. This is fine with him; he would rather have their fear than their friendship.

Dark Deception

Your profile is excellent. I'm surprised how quick you were to make it (since it took me forever to make mine  :'(). Welcome aboard! I have no analyzing comments to honestly give though it did make me wish to see The Prince and the Wolf in an eating contest lol. I'll write you up on the front page.

Currently involved in: 6 role plays

Ebb

Thanks. I think the Wolf probably fears and resents the Frog Prince a little, and would not be sad at all to see him defeated by the Rebellion. But after all, that kind of infighting is half the reason the good guys win in these sorts of stories.

As a possible name for the Queen's side: "Nightwatch" - we watch for threats to the Crown, and eliminate them. Makes the whole thing seem a bit more virtuous.

Dark Deception

Yeah, I'm starting to see some equal rivalries beginning to develop between the characters. As far as the name, I think it sounds okay. I've heard Nightwatch from two things: A vampire movie (I think it was a vampire movie) and then I think Marvel had something going on with it. But if the other players on the dark side like it, then we'll incorporate it. If other players come up with names, then I might throw a poll if they all sound good.

I'm going to hopefully try and get more baddies, since right now it's 4 vs 3 only because The Frog Prince may eventually change sides (depending on how the battle goes). He's not exactly sane at the moment, so we'll see. I would kind of like there to be a Hansel as well. *ponders more*

You're probably thinking of DC's Nightwing, who used to be Batman's sidekick Robin if I recall correctly.

Edit:

Also, there's a little contradiction in Ebb's BBW profile. In the profile the hunters are mentioned to have guns, but I believe you said in the opening post that this game would have a setting where guns do not exist yet, right? Not trying to be a nitpicker or anything, but I just wanted to point that out to avoid any misunderstanding that might have occurred during IC otherwise.

Thank you for pointing that out because I really wasn't analyzing profiles. Guns are not permitted in the RP, but either or, if I saw it in the IC, if anyone had a gun, I would just tell them that and ask them to correct their posts. lol But thank you for pointing that out now Hati.

Naw, I meant this one Night Watch, and this one lol Nightwatch. I swear I'm not a marvel nerd  ::). I just forgot where that guy was from.

Knights of Ether or Obisidian

Also I like the idea of Red Ridding Hood recruiting characters because it would make sense for her to want to seek out the 'best' in their fields. I actually pictured Red popping well Gretel is in the middle of a battle or hard at work saying "You've been chosen." However it doesn't really matter to me how we go by it.

Ebb

Profile has been given an emergency gun-ectomy.

I like "Court of the Moon", but the Wolf is biased. In general, I like the idea of a name that doesn't scream "We're Evil!", since I figure the majority of the people in the kingdom don't really think there's anything evil going on. Only the Rebellion sees clearly.

Maybe "The Silver Court"? (Wolf doesn't like that one, but he didn't get a vote.)

Dark Deception

The way the RP goes is the Queen is evil. It is why Fantasia fell into darkness. The talking animals are all placed into slavery. Why wouldn't Fantasia not think she's evil? It's no different than living in a society with a horrid ruler. There are just those who are too afraid to do anything, those who rather kiss ass, and then those who actually work for her because they think she can't be beat any way. There are also the neutrals who care about their own survival and just try to benefit any way they can. The Rebellion is the group who has the courage to try and go against the queen. I hope that clarifies everything.

I'm also not speculating, this is how the RP is. If you're now realizing this and are thinking, hey, I don't think I want to be evil anymore. Then there's always neutral or the goodie side, but we do need some baddies.

Dark Deception

Hm, people ask me that question occasionally, and I'm not good at giving a decent answer lol. All I can recommend is to browse the Grimm Fairytale and Hans Christian Andersen characters, perhaps even read some of the short stories because you can find them online. They aren't too long. If there's a character you fall in love with (not literally of course), and would like to try to play him or her, then let me know of your interests. Also, usually you can tell by the fairytale story if the character could be good or diabolical. I am looking for some more baddies, but if you can't find a character that seems bad to you, and you're still interested in this, then just make the profile. I'll add you any way. I have enough NPCs to assist the baddies if they ever need anything.

I was going to add another NPC for the allies. "Seven" they are the seven dwarves but they're a mafia kind of group. It's hard to have a mafia without guns, but eh, I'm sure they can still function like one with their seven professionals. But if there was a Snow White, I would believe she would be the mafia boss.  ::)

Alias: Zilla- The Shadow’s Princess
Han's Christan Anderson's "The Shadow"
Age:  28
Gender:F
Height:5 foot 4 inches
Weight:145lbs

Basic Appearance:  Zilla has alabaster skin that would lead one to believe that she is almost albino.  Her hair is a jetblack and falls midback in waves.  She favors black over any other color but the darker crimson, purple, and blues sometimes come into play.  She covets jewelry and showing her importance. Her eyes are an eerie light orange/yellow that is very rarely seen.  She is slender but busty enough to have to have special made corsets.

Personality:Pettiness and class concerned are the two things that actually describe her personality most.  She is concerned with her own self status and could care less about others.  She is manipulative, vengeful, and conniving depending upon the situation.

Likes:money, power, status

Dislikes:crusaders for the lower classes, being challenged by someone lower than her

Psychological Disorder(s):Inability to control certain urges. Partial Sociopathy.

Background: The princess unwittingly married the Shadow after he had killed his original master.  She had no clue that he was indeed the insane one until after being with him for a bit.  She learned from him and soon became just as immoral as he had learned to be.  She caught him being unfaithful one night and set to kill her himself.  She didn’t do it straight out, she poisoned his drink knowing that even a shadow couldn’t survive that. His last view was her dark face looking down upon him with a haunting smile.

I hadn't caught all of those details from the original post. I'm fine with all of this, and think it's a good idea to have everyone on the same page. So for the Rebellion, it's really about working against the Queen, and possibly inspiring others to take up what seems a hopeless cause. Not about convincing anyone that the Queen is evil; that's taken for granted throughout the kingdom. Correct?

A question: At the start of the game, do the Queen and her forces know about the existence of the White Order?

Nazora

Tenebrae Order

It means Order of Darkness. This would be the governing body of Fantasia. The queen herself would be at the top. Her ultimate goal to establish her version of order on a fantasy land that is far too care free and chaotic. Like any true evil dictator, she won't necessarily see herself as evil and have a host of rationalizations for her actions. She might actually believe that if the citizens would simply stop opposing her, accept slavery, and bow at her feet she could bring a reign of darkness through the land and everyone would be better off for it.

Tenebrae custodes

Guardians of the darkness. This would be the Queen's elite guard, it would include her most powerful and loyal servants. The leader of the Tenebrae Custodes would also be a member of the Tenebrae Order.

This sounds about right, like a council of villains.

--------------------------------------------

On the matter of the frog prince. I was thinking that the queen might use a carrot and stick approach by offering him a chance to get back to his human form once he is is 'finished' serving her.

-------------------------------------------

It might be a good idea to know how much scenery I can write and how much freedom I am given in as far as world creation. I might run my more descriptive posts by the GM first so he can read them and suggests edits. It might be good to have some descriptive writing that portrays the oppressive order and the new 'laws' that the citizens of Fantasia must follow. I like the idea of a heavy tribute being imposed on all citizens, and forced labor for those who speak out against the queen or her favorites. There might be an army of underlings, npc goons, maybe the ginger bread soldiers, that would supplement the elite guard. The queen would also have the power to draft citizens into her service for any purpose she see's fit.

Little Red Riding Hood aka Garnet Phoenix

Age:  29
Gender: F
Height: 5’7
Weight: 145lbs

Personality: Garnet, more commonly known as ‘Red,’ is the embodiment of passion in all its forms, and just as flighty. She is quick to anger, but once it is out of her system, it is like nothing ever happened. She is also quick to love (if one can call jumping from one flavour of the week to another love), and just as quick to forget. She is demanding, argumentative, and sometimes a downright bitch. Over the years, however, she has enclosed all of this inside a cold, hard outer shell composed of a mixture of her own personal vendetta against the Big Bad Wolf and the desire to restore Fantasia to it’s rightful owners (if one still exists) and end the Evil Queen’s reign.

Likes: fighting, drinking, laughing, sex, men, and Grandmother’s apple pie.

Dislikes: Wolves (one in particular), being disagreed with, the word ‘no’

Psychological Disorder(s): Displays a number of symptoms of an anti-social personality disorder, including: promiscuity, aggressive behaviour, inadequate control of anger and temper, recurring difficulties with the law, lack of remorse/empathy for others, and an often dangerous disregard for safety.

Background: Garnet Phoenix was a happy child. She lived with her parents deep in the woods, away from the worst of the Evil Queen’s influence, but it ended in a single night of horror that would forever change her. (More of that story to be revealed after discussion with Ebb)

Garnet recovered physically from that night, but mentally she was irrevocably altered. Everything she had ever known had been destroyed, and she now wears her red cloak and hood as armour. She has worked for years towards her ultimate goal of revenge—the destruction of the Evil Queen and her reign of terror is simply an added bonus.

Partner: none

Weaponry: A double-sided, silver-infused halberd (pictured) and four daggers.

Powers: Shortly after her recovery and her vow to take revenge on the Wolf, Garnet discovered that she had the ability to draw the life essence of those she killed into herself and focus it into her halberd during battle, increasing the strength of its blows.

Dark Deception

@Ebb: The people already know she's a dictator. There is no reason to try to convince them. As I said previously, they are living in a state of hopelessness and cope. As long as they survive they have no complaints, and the Rebellion is the organization that wants a revolution to restore Fantasia back to what it was.

@Nazora: You got good ideas, I want to know if everyone will be okay with the Tenebrae as the name because I honestly don't mind it. I don't take the "name thing" seriously. Putting The Frog Prince on a leash would keep him longer, but then I thought since the seed turns him into a monster, it might have made him quite the ravenous hound. Once unleashed, just a mindless wave of destruction. But I think your ideas for the RP are okay because they follow how I envisioned it also. With the Citizens also being recruited, the typical dictatorship.

@midnight diamond: Great! I'll add you to the front page and now all the thread making shall begin. I'll start with the Character Thread, then the OOC, and if I'm still awake after that (feeling kind of drowsy) I'll put up the three settings. Just nobody get all anxious and excited because if I get too tired, then I'll have to put the main threads up tomorrow.

Tenebrae works for me.

Also: where the eff did my image go? >.> it's there when I go to modify it, but not when I look at the thread.

Dark Deception

It could be a code error or something. I've been having to delete certain codes to make font colors and lists or getting any other formatting to work. By the way, I put up the Character Thread.

Voila! Character Thread

OOC

Feel free to continue to add more beauty to your already beautiful profiles. If you change anything major, just make sure to let me know.

Dark Deception

I updated the front page with the current new links. I also edited my last post with the OOC page. I'm hoping to get the ability to be able to modify my posts in the NC Exotic section soon so I can keep all the pages up to date. Until then, I'm not going to be able to update the information if any new characters join or if I make new threads.

midnight, you should scale that picture down a bit. o_o It's enormous, and I'm glad I got a laptop with a decent graphics card. In case you may be unaware, there are programs where you can do such that such as photobucket or image shack. There are also online photoshop freeware/flash programs that can help you do so and also modify it.

Dark Deception

I'm actually going to wait until I have that modify ability because I would hate to make a mistake on any of the three threads and be unable to fix it. So hopefully it won't take several days.

Downfall347

Hello everyone, I was reading over the plot layout and character roles and thought I would like to give the role of 'Little Bear' a crack. Let me know what you think, if you think I will fit your game I would be happy to play.

LITTLE BEAR aka URSAK

Age:  26
Gender: Male
Height: 7'4
Weight: 430 lb's
Personality: Ursak is unto granite. Cold, solid, but doubtlessly dependable. He prefers to leave his thoughts unsaid, and to allow others around him to take the lead on most things. He puts forth a mask of self control and regimented determinism, but it is only a thin shroud stretched over a black malice. He may love, may laugh, may mourn, but above all, he hates. It consumes him, the anger that boils just under the surface, like a tea pot heated by a single burning coal. Slow to anger, and slow to cool, his personal battle with his own rage defines him, so much so that it frightens him at times. So he forces calm on it, order onto a chaos that is too dark and twisted for his freshly sane mind to truly comprehend.
Likes: The Night Sky, Battle, The Chase, Feasting, Napping
Dislikes: Little Girls, People who talk too much, Thieves
Psychological Disorder(s): Ursak suffers from very serious anger issues, although it takes a moment to notice. He does not lash out at the slightest inconvenience, but rather absorbs it, speaking little to none of his own thoughts on the situation, building until he explodes in a rush of adrenaline and rage that never ends without blood. Furthermore he experiences periods of borderline sociopathic behavior, experiencing episodes of total detachment from himself and those around him, viewing the world rather than experiencing it, and removing himself from his own actions.
Background: Like all things twisted, he was born in blood. One dark night, the hushed tones of his parents as they discussed the young girl they had discovered in his bed. He remembers leaning over and smelling his own pillow, the light feminine touch of her scent almost intoxicating. It was that same scent that awoke him when she came back. Her hands were engines of death, the blood that hit his face warm and thick; it smelled like mom. He hid under his bed while she did the deed, her eyes, so degrading, so hateful as they bore into him.

For days he lay there, believing she had killed him, or perhaps too shattered to accept the cold reality of the dried and caked blood in his fur. It was not until the corpses of his parents began to rot and attract flies that he clawed his way out from beneath his bed, and forced himself to look upon the maggot eaten faces of the only people he knew in the world. He burned down the cottage, and took the wilderness. For years he went feral. Hunting where he could, scavenging until he was large enough to pursue bigger game, starting with the goblins who patrolled the near by roads for the new dark queen. It was his night time raids that got him noticed by the rebellion.

For a long while he struggled with the feral heart that was born in him that night. The rage, it consumed him, and he turned it into a blade against the dark queen and her agents. He has now risen to the role of a knight within the rebellion, using his trauma's and flaws to benefit those around him when he can, and getting them out of the way when he can't, always fearing that the next time the feral heart claims him, and the darkness of that night consumes him, he will not be on the battlefield.
Partner: No One
Weaponry: Natural claws and teeth which are kept at an unnatural sharpness.
Powers He is fueled by his hate. The trauma he endured at the hands of the golden haired devil awoke something primal in his heart, awakening the primordial beast within the animal. When angered in battle he is prone to entering a rage, during which his eyes glow a demonic red, and his strength nearly doubles, his already sharp claws becoming like razors. But such an exertion exhausts him, and after a prolonged rage he is weak, and needs to rest.

I think my Tailor might be a little underarmed when compared to some of the other characters. :-(

Guess I'll toss in something else... Hm, how about acupuncture? I remember seeing a Jet Li movie once where he used acupuncture as a means to disable and even kill a foe. It would certainly fit the Valiant Little Tailor well, I think.

~Puss in Boots~

Art created by CreativeUncut

Background:
It’s funny how nicknames come about.

Once upon a time, there was an old miller with three sons.  When the miller grew old and died, he left all of his belongings to his three children.  To the oldest son, he left the mill.  To his middle son, he left his donkey.  There wasn’t much to leave to the third son – only a cat.  Now, the cat was a curious thing.  During the miller’s youth, there was a tavern in the town that was quite the place to steal a kiss from a pretty miss.  On a night full of drunken escapades, the miller stole quite a bit more than a kiss from a particularly pretty miss.  Unfortunately for him, she turned out to be more than met the eye.  Nine months later he found a basket sitting on his front steps in the rain, and underneath the wicker lid was a tiny orange kitten.

The miller had always been fond of animals, and he couldn’t find it in his heart to leave the sweet little kitten out in the rain.  He brought the little thing inside and gave her a saucer of milk.  Of course he was shocked when she thanked him for it.  A talking cat!  And so the story goes.  The kitten played and grew in the miller’s home, keeping him company as his parents died and he started a family of his own.  She would often leave the house for days at a time, but she would always return home to the miller – her father.

When the miller died, the cat was quite torn about what to do with her life.  Shortly after the funeral, she heard the third son declare that he was surely doomed.  “I have nothing but a cat.  How shall I make my way in this world?  After I eat the cat and make a muff with her fur, I will have nothing!”

Now, the cat certainly did not want to be eaten or turned into a muff.  Luckily, she was more than just an average cat.  She was a cunning thing, and she vowed to find a way out of this tricky predicament.  She could have just run away, but it was best to stay and utilize the resources that she had.  Though she had not played with the rotten third son since he was a young lad, she went to him and promised that if he would find her a pair of very sexy boots and perhaps some other equipment, she would improve his lot in life.  The third son was skeptical, of course, but what did he have to lose?

The very next day, she went out and caught a fat, juicy rabbit.  She took the rabbit to the King and requested a private audience with him.  She presented him with the rabbit as a gift from her Master, the Marquis of Carabas.  After presenting the King with the rabbit, she showed the King something that she had only ever showed the miller – she transformed into a tall, lithe, leggy miss wearing sexy, thigh-high boots.  She locked the King’s audience chamber and gave him a gift truly fit for a king.

She continued her private visits to the King for several months, and the King looked forward to the weekly visits from his “Puss in Boots.”  She knew that the third son could never get away with killing her now.  She even considered leaving the son to flounder and die for his wretched thoughts, but she felt that she owed the miller for his kindness.

One day, when she knew that the King would be traveling the countryside, Puss told the third son to bathe in the river if he wished to secure his fortune.  Just as the King was nearing the river, Puss hid the man’s clothes and ran out to the King’s procession in her feline form.  “Help, help!” she cried.  “Someone has stolen the clothes of my Lord Marquis of Carabas!  He will surely drown if he cannot leave the river soon!”

The King, recognizing his “Little Puss in Boots” in her feline disguise, agreed to help the man by giving him an outfit of fine clothing.  He even let the Marquis ride in his fine carriage with his daughter, calculating the brownie points that he was earning with his Little Puss.  As his carriage ride continued, Puss disappeared, running ahead of the train of carriages and servants.  She slipped into her human form just outside of the carriage’s view, and accosted the first man that she saw.  She snuck up behind the poor peasant and touched a sharp dagger to his neck.  Whispering in a deadly, sexy voice, she murmured, “You will tell the King how pleased you are to see that he has met the Marquis of Carabas, owner of this great and fertile land, or I will chop you into mince meat.”  The man was startled and frightened and incredibly aroused by this scandalous woman in boots, and he agreed immediately.

Puss continued to accost and threaten peasants all the way to the castle of the ogre.  She had heard of this ogre and gathered information about him from the local villagers.  She asked to speak with the ogre (a hideous thing, really) and told him what she had heard.  “One villager told me that you could transform yourself into a large animal – a lion, or an elephant!”

“Indeed, I can,” said the ogre.  He transformed himself into a lion and gave a ferocious roar that frightened Puss so much that she leapt onto the roof of the castle in terror.  Quickly regaining her wits, however, she pressed him, “Oh, neat trick, but I bet you cannot turn into a tiny animal, for that is so difficult that it is impossible!”

“Impossible?!” roared the ogre, and then he turned into a mouse.  Ever the quick and cunning one, Puss leapt down and squashed the mouse with her boot heel before eating him for good measure.

Soon, the King arrived at the castle, and Puss lied and welcomed him to the estate of her master, the Marquis of Carabas.  The King was so impressed with the castle and the following evening of drinking that he allowed the Marquis to marry his daughter.  Puss learned several important lessons that day.  The first moral was that men are easily manipulated, and it was oh-so-nice to get her own way.  The second moral was that the third son now owed her a great deal, and she would never have to want for anything for as long as she lived.  The third moral was that nothing spells success like a pair of sexy boots.

Alias: Puss in Boots
Age:  Hard to be certain.  Nine lives, you know.
Gender:  Female.
Height:  5’ 6” (human), 9” (cat)
Weight:  135lbs (human), 8lbs (cat)

Basic Appearance
Puss is relatively small for a cat.  She’s a classic orange tabby with a dainty, pink nose.  She can walk upright in cat form, but she prefers to walk on all fours because the feline spine is not really designed for bipedal movement.  The only difference between her cat form and that of a normal cat is the movement of her tongue and lips as she speaks.
In her human form, Puss is tall and lithe.  She has the body of a gymnast and she keeps herself in good shape.  Her stride has a distinctly feline quality to it, and she tends to perch on high lookouts or sprawl languidly across plush furniture when she is resting.  She often wears modified hunter’s garb, always with her characteristic boots.  She spends a good deal of her time traveling and sneaking about, so flashy clothes are often not an option.  That being said, she is incredibly feminine, and she loves to dress to impress for fancy occasions.  Puss has a delicate face with a small, straight nose.  Her cheekbones are prominent and her skin is pale despite all of the time she spends outdoors.  Almost startling green eyes with bright, yellow rims glitter from the darkness under the hood of her cloak.  The orange-red color of her hair is similar to that of her cat form, and the cut allows straight strands to fringe her lovely face.  Her mouth is a perfectly red, down-turned bow.

Personality:
Puss tends to portray herself as an uncaring individual.  She appears nonchalant, nonplussed, disinterested, uninterested, and suave.  She is generally very laid back, concerned with quietly absorbing information and allowing situations to unfold from her vantage point as the clever mastermind.  That is, until it is time to put some key play into motion.  This is in contrast to her personality when she goes into manipulation mode.  Like any feline, she can be completely deadly if the situation calls for it.  At other times, she can play the cuddly kitten or the talented seductress.  A lot of her outwardly displayed emotions are acts, carefully cultivated facades that hide her true motives and feelings.  She mostly treats men like pawns, and females fall somewhere along the continuum between pawns and competition.
Beneath the confusing façade, Puss is a clever manipulator.  She has the unique ability to understand people and complex, dynamic, large-scale situations.  She is also well known for coming up with unexpected, improbable solutions for problems that appear impossible to solve.  This is the skill that will make her most valuable to the White Order.  Her ability to employ stealth, both in cat form and human form, allows her to collect information that most spies would never dream of having access to.  When she does not wish to be seen or heard, she is not seen or heard.  She thus conducts business in two main areas:  information and strategy.  Name your price.

Weaknesses
Despite her apparently impenetrable exterior, Puss has some specific weaknesses.  As a perfectionist, she finds it difficult to deal with failed plans.  She is able to adapt new plans to suit changing situations, but total failure is unfathomable.  She has also learned to be careful in the choice of her pawns because some men (and women) are able to reach her emotions easier than others do.  She avoids these individuals as much as possible, preferring to keep her distance and avoiding relationships in these troubled, uncertain times.

Likes:  Dairy products, meat, chasing mice and butterflies, sexy and powerful men (preferably rich), successful plans, riddles, challenges, catnip, and boots
Dislikes:  Having her tail pulled, ugly men that must be persuaded, failed plans, small dogs, the third son of the miller, and rain
Psychological Disorder(s): Prone to unhealthy relationships designed to fit into her master plan, trust issues, and a superiority complex.

Partner: No one

Weaponry: In cat form, she has her teeth and claws, but these do no more damage than your average tabby.  As a mistress of intrigue, she often travels alone, on foot, and in full stealth mode.  She carries a bow with her for hunting, as well as a large knife for skinning and cleaning prey and enemies.

Powers Puss in unusually difficult to kill in cat form.  That doesn’t mean she is immortal – she is simply much more difficult to off than your average cat.  Don’t forget the nine lives.  Her only ‘supernatural’ power is the ability to transform between cat form and human form.  This transition is incredibly rapid (“poof”) and does not leave her vulnerable during the transition period.  Changing multiple times in a short period will leave her feeling weak, however, so she tends to chose one form or the other for several hour increments.

Dark Deception

Okay, so I got a lot to comment on lol. All right. Let me first begin by saying that I got my "edit" ability back, so I will be setting the IC up today. Yay~!

I will be working on that so that we can get this RP kicked off. If ever, after seeing the IC, you want me to add more floors, more this and that. Just tell me in the OOC, and I'll get right on it.

Also, if ever you would like a subplot for your character. With the evil NPCs, I have created some for certain characters such as Gretel and most players are going for the Evil Queen, Goldielocks or The Wolf lol. If you would like me to add a nemesis in which you'd want your character to go after. If you feel it would help your character's background develop more. Let me know. I will add them to the list.

Now, onto the profiles.

@Downfall347: Wow, everyone is coming up with these brilliant ideas. I love the pictures. Your version of Little Bear is just awesome! You, my friend, are accepted. *bows* Go on ahead and post that beautiful profile up in the Character Thread.

@Moon Hound Hati: Feel free to add more information to your profile, and if anyone would like to switch characters, they can always do so. Just let me know. Go ahead and add more to your profile. I encourage it.

@LadyDiscord: I know, it's making me anxious to begin. But I have to get these threads up! I'm going to be working on the Queen's castle. So as soon as I get that one up, you guys are welcome to post in it. Just everyone remember the RP shouldn't be rushed. It's not going anywhere. So take your time with your posts.

@Dino: You've sent me this profile, and I've approved it. I like how you really emphasize Puss's strategic mind and you also made her a stealth assassin-like chick. Go on ahead and add her up in the Character Thread.

Now, I'm sure all those who are playing villains are thinking, holy crap, there are a ton of good guys. You are also well-supplied with Baddie NPCs that you can use to your advantage, but I will be putting a cork on the Good Guy roles. I'm awaiting another player who may play a good guy, but after that, unless someone wishes to play Hansel, I'm damming the river. No more goodies. If people join, they can join as generals or whatever on the evil side.

I have caught up on all my comments and now I'm going to work on the IC.

Here is the link to the Queen's Castle thread.

Let's move over to the OOC from now on. For today, I'll keep posting links in here to let people know who haven't moved to the OOC yet or seen this message yet that I've written up the new posts. So yeah, try to convert to the OOC because I don't want you to miss anything I say from here on out (in the case I say anything important in regards to the RP).

#68
Alias: Alrik Hawke (Hansel)

Age:  25

Gender: Male

Height: 5'11''

Weight: 178 lbs.

Basic Appearance
Facial Appearance
Body Apperance

Personality: Alrik is a calm man, with a kind heart. He sees the world as something than it actually is, although the world holds a bleak and harrowing appearance he believes that there is something good inside of it. Although, he is not a weak hearted man, he is known to be stern and serious at most times. But, he is also a man who likes to relax and can take a joke, even make one aside from his serious demeanor. Although he is not tricky and "silver-tongued", like his sister, he is know for staying true to the task at hand and never faltering when trouble comes about.

Likes: Alrik enjoys the most simple things in life; lazing on a Sunday Afternoon, sleeping to the crack of afternoon and a good meal. He enjoys studying the arts of magic as well, and practicing his swordplay. Alrik is also unable to resist the charms of women, he is a sucker for them in most ways. He enjoys the comfort of friends and family and when something right is done.

Dislikes: Alrik dislikes the general view of the world: dark, depressing and overall the tyranny of the Queen. He is also quick to snap when injustice is made and people end up hurt, those who don't need to be hurt. Unnecessary death and the suffering of others are among the top things he hates, but he has one dislike above all, perhaps even a fear. He fears being alone, he was always with his sister when they were young. He doesn't want to be left alone.

Psychological Disorder(s): Alirk is known to have horrific nightmares concerning his past, that has symptoms including: Sleepwalking, Sleep-talking and waking up in a constant fear.

Background: After the incident with the cannibalistic woman inside the house made of gingerbread, Alrik's mind started to feel the guilt over what they had done to the old woman. Although they were only defending themselves, Alrik was overwhelmed by his actions and his general conscience took a turn for the worse. He had left the company of his sister, running away more or less. Losing himself inside the woods, he found space to think to himself, without the constant barrage of words from her sister's own mind. He almost felt a calm presence with him, himself. Yet, time moved on and he was truly lost inside the woods, he eventually found his way to a town and attempted to make a life for himself.

It was not as easy as that though, Alrik found a hard time inside the town. Nobody knew who he was, he was a stranger and treated as such. People spat on him and called him a vagrant, treating him as if he was nothing more than a pile of shit. What more could he do? Besides live on the scraps of society and attempt to survive as best he could, this is when his sister return to him... In a manner of speaking, he had hallucinations about her. She invaded his mind and told him what he was doing was wrong, he was living wrong. Alrik attempted to push her out of his mind, but she kept coming back. Alrik and the hallucination fought and fought, until she had finally left him alone. Alone...

Alrik was Alone, he could feel it inside his bones. The wreaking emotions pushed him over the edge, he broke down to the point where he couldn't grip reality any longer. People stared at him more intently now, some even lashing out at him as he approached them with hysterical cries for his family. Beaten and broken, he was finally noticed by a strange man, with a tall hat and a long red coat. The man captured Alrik and forced him to work inside of a traveling carnival. A shit-digger, crate pusher, cleaner, at least he was fed and had a comfortable pile of hay to sleep in. Time had moved on, and Alrik began to stabilize before the man in the red coat, started to beat Alrik down. Alrik pushed himself into a corner and tried to escape from his clutches. Closing his eyes and focusing on the pain of the beating, it eventually stopped and when he opened his eyes, the man had turned into a pile of ash. Alrik had killed him, he had killed somebody again.

Alrik drifted from the carnival and eventually find the rebellion and his sister. He was motivated again, his spirits lifted and his body rejuvenated. Taking up the sword had put his life back into meaning, and he vowed to make the world a better place.

Partner: Although he does not care for Gretel's almost romantic nature over him. He still considers Gretel family and even calls her, his partner.

Weaponry
Bastard Sword

Powers
1. Iron Will - When push comes to shove, Alrik is know not to back down from wounds or mental damage.
2. (Moderate) Magical Abilities - Alrik has shown a good skill in the arts of magic, with his constant studying of the art he has grown to adapt his magical abilities while wearing heavy armor.

Oh man! Dark Deception, I think I'll have to pull out from this RP. I'm having my examinations soon and won't be able to commit to this rp at the moment! Really sorry for the trouble!!  :-[
Every time a child says, "I don't believe in fairies," there is a fairy somewhere that falls down dead ~James Matthew Barrie, Peter Pan

Dark Deception

The RP needs a Goldielocks desperately, so if we can find a player to replace the one we had that would be awesome. I'm not accepting any other characters but a Goldielocks right now.

Duchess

I don't mind taking her on , i do really like the character she created, that's if you don't have some one yet :)

Dark Deception

She decided to stay because she didn't realize that I was capable of adjusting the RP until she returned.

However, if you are interested in playing any sort of Grimm or Hans character, you're welcome to apply or run your ideas past me if you would like. I have had 3 people interested in this RP and none of them have been able to work a back story for the characters they were interested. o_o I want new characters to join, but depending on the story you make, I may have to place your character on hold until the conclusion of the first chapter (which will happen soon), or I can implement you into the SL right away (it just depends on how complex your story is).

Duchess

okies , no problem dear
Its kind of hard to choose pouts but i will wait and see  ;)

Luella

Hey Duchess, I could let you have the character if you want it, I wouldn't want to trouble Dark Deception and change the story due to Goldie's absence!
Every time a child says, "I don't believe in fairies," there is a fairy somewhere that falls down dead ~James Matthew Barrie, Peter Pan

Dark Deception

Your absence isn't causing any problems. We just said your character won't be able to attend the court room meeting because she's dealing with a talking-animal slave revolt. It was no issue. So when you return, you can continue do whatever with that. If anyone new is applying here, I would like for them to apply with a new character. I want to see more SLs being added.

Particularly, The Dark Court needs some more members.

Hello! Hopefully I will be joining in with Rapunzel, whose profile is below. Please be aware that, not everything about her is written here. I like to think of it more as a general, constantly developing idea which is even still being shaped. Plus it would be awful to spoil everything about her - some mystery is good! Also, your comments/thoughts are more than welcome  ;D

Looking forward to co-writing with you all.

Ta!

~

Alias: Rapunzel
Age: 26 (though sometimes mistaken to be at least 30-something, all depending on her mood and attire.)
Gender: Female
Height: 5'9”
Weight: 126lbs
Occupation: Owner and sole-employee of the popular Apothecary shop in Brogdin.

Basic Appearance: In relative mockery to the tower in which she was held captive for the worst part of four years, Rapunzel stands both tall and slender. Her legs seeming to be particularly long, but in no way is her figure extremely out of proportion. On the contrary she carries herself with a refined elegance, always sitting with rigid back courtesy of balancing heavy books on her head as a child. Her face continues to echo her figure; the nose is long and narrow, the eyes wide and lightly slanted, and the thin lips almost fragilely perched on a pointed chin. The cheekbones are incredibly high and sharply defined, almost gaunt, but mostly rendering her overall facial structure as heart-shaped; another bitter mockery relating to her past. Perhaps in light of her physicality, she truly is cursed? Indeed, often she wonders if she carries an ounce of her true parents lineage, or if she has instead grown to resemble her step-mother. Even to the point of ageing at a slightly more accelerated rate than other young women.

The face is often powdered slightly, sometimes enhanced by rose-blush and beauty-spot on either one cheek. Her skin tone naturally carries a natural, almost alabaster-white quality worthy of cold stone. As for her hair, well... it still defines her appearance, in more ways than one. Her hair style is not fixed – sometimes she carries a Barnett of golden-blonde arranged in winding plaits and faux decorations of lace, flowers and ribbons. Other times she boasts the contribution of clashing hairstyles of varying shades. No style is her true hair however, for beneath these elaborate wigs, is fair, frizzy hair which refuses to grow past the short cut. Ever since it was snipped and chopped so ruthlessly from her scalp, the style remains haphazard and in her opinion, incredibly unattractive.

As for clothing, she favours dresses. Never is she seen in 'clothing fit for only a man' as she so adequately puts it. As a working woman she can afford her own tailor to create modest designs, sometimes attempting to follow the latest fashions. However, she can't quite afford a new outfit too often, so certain dresses are more worn than others. The embroidery starting to unravel, the dyes starting to fade, and the hemlines starting to tear.

Personality: High levels of focus and an over-attention to detail dictate the majority of Rapunzel's persona. She is a mature and highly-learned figure, whose hermit lifestyle has gained her a great deal of respect in her line of work. By no means is she shy however; often she will speak her mind, and more than often her opinion is painfully negative or soul-crushing. Sometimes subtle wit will lace her tongue, while other times she will exercise the use of blunt truth. Hardly the social etiquette to be associated with such an elegant and refined young woman, but such is how she has been raised.

Likes:
- Silks and ribbons, preferably combined
- Hair, especially when decorated artfully
- Old books, trinkets and odd little mementos
- Keeping herself sufficiently occupied
- Fresh air...
- ...but also the smell of a brewing cauldron

Dislikes:
- Thorny flora and the 'Campanula Rapunculus' (aka Rapunzel) bell-flower plant
- 'Dame Gothel'
- Great heights
- Small spaces, or any space lacking doors and windows
- Chaotic mess; especially not knowing where things are
- Singing
- Notions of 'love', seeing others 'in love', and 'happy ever after' tales. In fact, she despises these most of all.

Psychological Disorder(s):

- Mild claustrophobia; including staying in one place for far too long. She needs variety in her surroundings, even if that means to take at least one stroll a day to remind herself of the freedom she has gained.

- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder; via hoarding of items and the reluctance to entrust any tasks onto another in fearing they would be inadequate. Her main issue is always needing to be aware of her exit strategy, including making sure doors and windows are never blocked. A set of keys are always kept on her personage, and no doubt she also keeps multiple spare sets around her abode. Depression often follows her generally cynical and negative attitude, followed very closely by envy. There isn't a fixed schedule to her every day life, but each task she starts on must finished without interruption.

- An abnormal attachment to hair

- Slight fear of forming attachments to other, living, breathing 'things', especially romantic interests. It is much easier to attach herself to ornate objects. Or perhaps she has simply 'gone off' men in general.

Background: Rapunzel's tale, like many others, begins with a 'Once Upon A Time'. Unfortunately, it does not end in a 'Happily Ever After'. At least, not the version she may have once wished for.

Before her birth into the realm of Fantasia, she was to learn that theft and lack of self-control bore heavy punishment. In this particular case, a husband's thieving of rapunzel plants from an enchanted garden in order to feed the gluttonous indulgence of a foolish wife, thereby invoking the wrath of 'Dame Gothel'. This enchantress of the surrounding woodlands shared one common interest with the married couple; the lack and want of a child to call her own. So when apologetic wife gave birth to her one and only daughter, the deal was struck. Dame Gothel earned the title of 'mother' and with it, aptly named her daughter Rapunzel.

As the years rolled by, the child was gifted with many enchantments, some more permanent than others. First the gift of song, secondly the gift of knowledge, and thirdly the gift of ever-growing beauty. Dame Gothel's purpose was grey... did she only wish to shower her daughter with gifts? Or was her reasoning more sinister? Did she instead hope to one day possess the child; inhabit this fresh young body as many rumours suggest. By her twelfth year, Dame Gothel's actions suggested her living up to such stereotypical accusations. Curiosity often led the girl astray, and so the elderly enchantress, fearing that soon the girl would think herself ready to fly the nest, deemed it right to lock her daughter in the small, doorless room at the top of a tall, stair-less tower made of pure, white stone. An enchantment was placed upon the girl's hair to grow with strong and quick purpose. An affliction that, for a time, disabled her movement. The hair so heavy and acumbersome, yet beautiful in its own right! Handy too, for it was strong, especially when plaited; like rope. And so, one phrase became the bane of her teenage years:

“Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair, so that I may climb the golden stair.”

Enter the daring Prince, captivated by the songs often carried by wanton breeze through the great forest tiers. Skip a chapter, past his innocent courting with the naive Rapunzel, and a tongue lined in elaborate silver. Often she would count the days, minutes, seconds before she heard the words:

“Rapunzel, my dearest, sweet Rapunzel. Let down your luscious locks!”

By slip of her own tongue one day, she experienced the unrelenting wrath of Dame Gothel. The woman promised Rapunzel that she could leave the tower and be with the man she loved, but on one condition. The long golden plait which defined who she was, was to be cut from Rapunzel's head. But the mother did not stop there, oh no. She continued to chop and snip through the thick and heavy bush, countless strands fleeing scalp until a mass of frizzy, uneven patches and chunks remained.

“My task is done. You are ready to fly the nest. But see how he loves you now! Remember – a mother knows best...”

And then, Dame Gothel was gone.

That night, the Prince returned to the tower. Yet upon climbing the golden stair, was greeted by a shocking, hideous sight. To see his beloved so malformed and resembling a haggard old witch, was shocking enough to force him stumbling back, even to accidentally fell through the very same window from whence he had so adamantly climbed. Had Rapunzel known that the fall would undoubtedly kill him, she may have joined him in such a plight. Alas, fate was cruel. Still loving her cruel Prince, she descended her own rope ladder, and cradled his broken body in her arms to witness his last breath.

“Had I been blinded instead,” he uttered. Rapunzel would ponder his meaning in those words, ever more. Did he mean to say more? Or was that it? Were those the last words of a man who had so ardently loved her? Was that true love?

For a time, bitterness swelled in Rapunzel's broken heart. For a time, she resided in the little cottage where Dame Gothel had first raised her. The same cottage in the middle of the enchanted woods, with the same garden from which her father had made the grave mistake of trespassing. Others occasionally stumbled upon her sanctuary; often young couples hoping to elope. Young men searching for a rare flower or enchanted object to present to their intended, or sometimes even young maidens lost or out for a very daring stroll, driven by innocent curiosity. Rapunzel found use for them all; with the same scissors that raped her of her own prized beauty, she passed the curse down to them.

“See how he/she loves you now,” she would say. Using the hair of her victims, she fashioned her own, unique and ornate wigs. A new identity... or was it carrying the flag for misguided youth and their false love?

For a handful of years, she remained isolated, studying the magical books left behind by the departed Dame Gothel and brewing in her own self-pity. In the absence of the true enchantress, the forest began to whither and wilt. The garden grew full of choking weeds. The grass turned yellow. Skeletal branches lacking rich, green leaves, reached up to provoke overclouded skies which often brought rain, wind, hail and thunder. The sun hardly ever shined. One day, Rapunzel happened to cast her reflection in a mirror dropped by the latest victim. Dame Gothel stared back. In horror, she dropped the mirror. Was it a revelation that struck her, or merely the answer to her boredom? Either way, Rapunzel packed up, and left her home. Finally, she flew the nest.

It would then be chance alone that brought Rapunzel into the Apothecary trade. A scary opportunity at first, which was only half-heartedly answered and eventually fully accepted. As a new face in the city of Brogdin under the questionable leadership spawned from various tales, (each more adventurous than the previous), she didn't care to hunt down the truth behind the Queen's rise to power. Merely, to assert herself outside of both tower and cottage. To learn beyond the words in books by putting her skills to some kind of use, and thus make a living for herself. A new start, of sorts – she still kept the wigs. At first she assisted the former potions-master and when he shortly fell out of favour with the Queen, his property miraculously fell into the hands of his able assistant! It was easy for Rapunzel to slip into a routine of sorts, and to gradually but quite effortlessly build a professional reputation of her own. Now, she finds herself moderately content with the daily running of her own little Apothecary shop, which she has very much made her own little territory. To see both regular and new faces and deal with their interesting, often very fascinating affairs gives her strange satisfaction. A position of power to provide a cure, or sometimes to choose not to cure someone, depending on the story they bring to her counter top. Who needed a love potion last week? Who wants a strength tonic by the end of today? Who will be wronged by another and so desire the ingredients of revenge next month? ...

Partner: No one

Weaponry: Always carries with her a pair of silver scissors embossed in elegant patterns, and a matching, multi-purpose dagger.

Powers:
- Minor Enchantment: It was once said that through her 'ethereal' singing voice alone, Rapunzel could enchant the ears of man. It worked on a Prince at least, and various trespassers upon her former abode too. Unfortunately (or fortunately for some) she hasn't the heart to practice this art any further, however...
Customers might often comment on the general, melancholy tone of her voice to be quite pleasant, even though it is often missing an accompanying smile. Still, she rarely needs to offer much speech to gain a confidential trust agreement. Simply being calm and more than happy to listen to the troubles of others, creates a relaxed aura. Mothering, perhaps? She seems to care, and for most people, that is all they need to see. Coincidently, should any delicate information be leaked, she is often the last party to be accused.

- Expanse Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Potion-making and to some extent, the more logical rules of 'Alchemy'. Also incredibly well-read on many topics leading towards being able to fight with words, not fists.

- Amateur Spell-Caster: Specialises in the reading of verses from her precious Grimoire. These are never major alterations which will occur immediately, and so whether they even work is often 'yet to still be seen'. Still, certain desperate customers still offer good coin for these services, such as love spells, attracting good fortune or issuing forget-me-nots.

Great profile! ^.^ Although, you may want to consider modifying her weight. At 5'9, 112lbs is bordering on anorexic.

I was thinking that same thing. Unless she's like one of those Tim Burton character's, then it's completely normal.

Ah yes, you're quite right >.< I'm never very good at putting a number to weight! I guess she is bordering a Tim Burton type model, but might need to add a few extra pounds. Thanks for the input!

Arandrocles

I have read this thread and am thoroughly entranced. If you are still open to the idea of additional characters as it seems, I will work up a character profile and post it later today.

Absolutely amazing profiles so far.

Dark Deception

I will accept character profiles, but at this time, since one of the threads are behind, I won't be allowing your character to enter the game for awhile. There are some things that need to get done first in game and because it's taking quite a long time, to add anymore people into the game will make it even longer.

You're welcome to run a character idea by me in PM, and to post your finished profile here, but as I said, I won't be able to allow you entrance for awhile (depending on what kind of character you make because Rapunzel was one of those "exceptions").

Currently involved in: 6 role plays

Arandrocles

That is quite understandable. I do not mind waiting to be worked in. May I have a temporary reserve on one of the neutral characters and I will get my character to you via PM in the next day or two
(since there is no hurry I can take time to fill in the details.) Please let me know what you think, thanks!

Dark Deception

You can do that. I would honestly not recommend you busting out a profile entirely because if you do, and I don't think the character is neutral or if he or she conflicts with some plots, and I have to say no, then you might have done all that work on your vision for no reason. If you have an idea, just go ahead and talk it over with me. If it works, I'll give you the okay and you can begin. If it isn't okay, then at least you know now and not later and can tweak your idea early and not when its in its finished state.

Hola, all! I've enjoyed reading the tale thus far.

Submitted for approval (and critique)!

Alias: Sleeping Beauty / Sybil

Age:  116, though with the preternatural appearance of youth

Gender:  Female

Height:  5 foot, 7 inches

Weight:  121 pounds

Basic Appearance:  Sybil is an unconventional beauty in appearance and manner.  Having inherited her mother's fine cornsilk tresses, and Father's startling blue eyes, she made for the epitome of maiden beauty.  Lissome and graceful she bears diminutive features, that even in anger, are enchanting to behold.

Personality:  Narcolepsy, enchanted or no, has a habit of stunting one’s social life.  Sybil was once a meek and agreeable young Princess.  Kind as she was beautiful.  Though sleeping for nearly a century has left her … shall we say morose?  Worse yet there were many times in which the poor girl was awake but merely unable to stir.  For years she had to endure their tongues waggling with condolences.  Why hadn't someone thought to cure her with another spell?  Pity is such a pitiless emotion when you've a kingdom full of faeries.  Their final solution?  To flee the castle and leave Sybil to the mercy of the woodland creatures and passerby.  Though father was kind enough to erect a fence.  Needless to say, she's something of a miffed martyr. And rather petulant to boot.

Likes:  Long, languid naps (she hasn't really a choice, has she?), Blue Jays as they have the best gossip.  Actually, Sybil has never really been awake long enough to find things to like.  Perhaps that will soon change?

Dislikes:  Stairs. Most certainly, stairs. Fairies, The Prince, Roses - absolutely detests roses, Blood.  That awkward moment right before she topples to sleep.

Psychological Disorder(s): Narcissistic; Irrational (or is it?) fear of falling asleep; Worsening habit of voyeurism; Rampant distrust of male-things, she must be wary of any and all pricks, you know.

Background: A Ruined Castle Forgotten, But Not Far Away

There beyond the courtyard, overrun with the wildest of flora and fauna alike, rests what remained of the King's ill-conceived sanctuary.  The wrought iron fronts, thought to bar his treasure from danger, had given in to the twinning masses of kudzu that sprung free of the antiquated marble foyer.  An indelible scent, of things behind and under, permeated the air of this abandoned alcove.  Swept within its wake was the cloying perfume of briar roses, some long rotted and others in full bloom.  This long-forgotten place reeked of a fouled Spring … soft, dark, moist … dead.  Within this burden of petal and thorn alike she lay, lost to the confines of dreams undreamed and fates disjointed.  And Beauty is her name …

Well, Sybil to be sure.  Although when one has slept so long as she, you tend to forget things.  Important things.  Like a name.  A face.  You forget your purpose in the tales that are spun.  Sybil Who Sleeps remembers only her dreams, and as of late they've grown most foul.  Fantasia is no more, Sybil need not open her eyes to be certain of that reality.  No more do blue jays rest upon the swells of her breasts, twittering on as to who laid what egg where … how long you've to sit upon the damned thing before it hatches.  The doe does not nibble at the swath of her skirts.  Never again will the great-great grandson of the Prince dare to scale the kudzu vines, nor brave the wrath of the briars to venture a peek at the woman-child who laid ruin to their hearts.

Sybil knows because she watched it all in a never-ending dream.  There are no birds, no deer, nor admirers in this sanctuary.  But there is a most loathsome bat.  Even now the bristled hide caresses at the jut of Sybil's chin.  Its fetid breath, heavy with the scent of blood, wafts into her nostrils and cloys Sybil's senses with a dream past dreamt.  One of woodland creatures ravaged.  Their entrails strewn across the glade and left to grow plump and juicy.  A fitting feast for the wolves that bay and Ogres lumbering amongst their pack.  Even the hare, so fleet of foot, was not spared …

Once Upon A Dream

“Take heed, take heed! Rest not here sweet childe,” chirps the bluebirds as they, from the safety of their hovel, did spy.   Their nest of feather and wood twined will not save them.  It did not save them from the encroaching darkness.  The deer scatter, their wake smelling of pungent piss and fear.  Even the Raven, so lofty so cruel, will not tarry.  “Caw … caw, watch as I too fly away.  Beauty, fair maid, ‘tis folly to stay.  Comes now the Wolf.  Harried and dread, ‘ware for his hunger is but whetted with Red!”  The woods are dark, there is no light in this glade, it blankets the trees and to the sun gives shade.  “Who minds the reins to this manner of beast,” Sybil struggles to say, mind and limbs heavy with the burgeoning weight her curse, this slumber.  She looks askance to the critters left behind and under, corpses frozen in fright, their scattered entrails twice foretelling this plight.  Torn asunder, these are but gifts to be left behind and under.  But to who are they gifted?  The hare answers, or rather its severed head.  ”Wolves, wolves! Four and twenty, crept into the wood.  They slay us surely as only wolves could!”  Its wet squeal falls silent as finally Sybil rises.  This is a fitting fate, it is utter despair.  “There is a hole in this world and so I bid you welcome here.  So dark are these woods,“ she cries, the chorus so much like laughing.  “Awake … awake, says I … Would you be moved by a kiss?,” she viciously taunts, though the dead are not moved by her venomous hiss.  “Ah, but were it as easy as that!  Now you all shall too remain stiff upon your backs!”

The Darkness now knows its seed is planted, from a tainted heart will its weed bloom.  “There’s a Wolf at the door,” It did speak to the maid.  “Pray don't be rude. Lest he huff … and puff … and-.”

Sybil awakened with a frightened gasp.  Her sudden movement startled the hobgoblin that rested atop her heaving bosom, busy at war with the precious gems that dotted her bodice.  He toppled from his prized perch with an outraged yelp, flailing arms and legs sending the night crawlers, snakes, and spiders that adorned the dais down with him to the barren earth.  “Oi, ungrateful maid!  And here I went to such lengths to hide ye!”  There was a stir of chitters and hisses from the hobgoblin's fallen comrades.  “Not all for me self,” It exclaimed, taken aback, and all the while tried in vain to gain purchase of the stone slab once more.  Sybil gazed out into the void of the alcove, wary of the eyes that peered back from its darkened corners.  For how long had she slept … that the walls once regarded as a home and then a prison were now naught but ruin and dust?  As if It had read the maid's mind the hobgoblin gruffed, “A century and still she's better for wear! Oh … Her Dark Wondrous Beautifulness will be so pleased!”  It clapped its hands in merriment, however short-lived it was.

Without preamble Sybil had footed him from the dais once more and stood.  “Away with you,” she called out, her voice too preoccupied to bear any scorn, “ … A whole century at wait?  What of my Prince?  What of my kiss for that matter?”  Horrified Sybil climbed down from her pedestal, set out over the congregation of things that went bump in the night, and into the shadowed remains of the forest.  Strangely enough the hobgoblin and company followed in her wake, as Sybil had unwittingly set herself on a path towards the castle of Fantasia-That-Was.  Several rats squeaked amongst themselves that for a maid who had never before woke, she was awfully sure of foot!

Partner:  The Prince, or so she thought.  Somnophilia led him elsewhere, and now he is happily-ever-aftered with Snow White.  Cad!

Weaponry:  Shrewd tongue.  Sybil is admittedly without much defense, considering she is often in a near-constant state of sleep.  In that regard she has the gift of clairvoyance, which sometimes helps to avoid a sticky situation altogether.

Powers  Though the fairies had meant well, as with all gifts they endowed, the gift of sleeping had been somehow flawed by a tongue-tied amateur.  The gift of dreaming was cast upon Sybil and with it came the power to foresee the future through vague omens in the form of dreams.  Albeit questionable, some portents allow Sybil to be privy of defining catalysts, however major or minor, that affect the fates of those in this plighted kingdom.  It is a cursed skill, and like all things learned open to interpretation and err.  She bears no other power than that of a woman scorned.

Aragem

I am very interested in participating.  I am very flexible in my writing so please tell me if I need to adjust my character to something that would fit in with the Dark Tale.  This is a character that leans toward Neutral if there is an opening, if not, then easily toward the Rebellion side.

Alias: The Little Mermaid / Moira

Age: 19 (in human years)

Height: 5 foot 5 inches as human  7 feet long as a mermaid

Weight: 110 pounds

Basic Appearance:  Long light brown hair, often hanging loose about her shoulders.  Bright bluish green eyes.  Full lips with with a small nose.  Aristocratic features, a lovely little gem of the sea.

Personality:  Moira is no longer the happy little mermaid that sand gleeful songs of the sea.  No, Moira has learned her lesson well about the hardship and has become a harden person because of it.  She is slow to trust and any kindness is met with suspicion and contempt.  She has no side, but her own and whoever wants what she has had better offer the bigger bid.  She rarely speaks, having once lost her voice, she understands the privilege of speech can be.

Likes:  Singing, water, swimming, money

Dislikes:  People who don't pay, fire, men who lie

Background:  Moira had a wonderful life deep on the ocean's floor.  She was the youngest daughter of the sea king and had the loveliest singing voice.  One day, as fate would have it, she curiously swam to the surface near the sea shore.  There, she laid eyes on a human prince, a handsome young man who was riding his horse along the beach.  Moira fell instantly in love and greatly desired to speak to him, to meet him.  But, it was forbidden for anyone of the sea to interact with anyone of the earth.  Forlorn, Moira spent many days hidden among the rocks to watch her beloved take his morning ride.  Soon, Moira couldn't stand being so close, yet so very far away from her prince.

She went to the sea witch, a being of great power who could grant any wish for a price.  The sea witch agreed to turn Moira into a human girl in exchange for her tongue.

"How will I tell him I love him?"

"Tell him with your eyes."

It was painful and Moira wept and screamed until it was done.  Her tongue was taken and she was no longer able to speak.  The sea witch was true to her word and when Moira went to the shore, she became human and was found by the prince that very morning.  She was taken in, believing to be a survivor of a shipwreck, but also thought to be dumb due to her inability to speak.  However, the prince saw her beauty and was smitten.  After a short friendship, he had taken Moira to his bed and began a secret love affair.  It was an affair that was allowed due to the prince's social status and the girl was a survivor with no penny or title to her name and a mute as well.  But the inevitable happened in this union, Moira came pregnant.

Moira, delighted with the prospect of having her beloved child and living with him peacefully in the castle.  That is until the prince announced his engagement to a princess from a foreign land.  At first, Moira couldn't believe that her prince would truly cast her aside for another.  She managed to get him alone and through hand signals, she informed him that she was pregnant and that she should be the one to marry him.  The prince chuckled, stroked her cheek, and told her that it was impossible for him to marry a poor girl that he took in out of charity.  And that she wasn't the first waif to bear him a son and that he promised that he would find her a proper job as a washer woman in the nearby village where she will be able to raise their child alone.

Heart broken, Moira could only watch helplessly as the man who betrayed her prepared for a marriage to another.  On the eve of the wedding, Moira stood by the sea, prepared to drown herself and her unborn child when her sisters appeared.  Her sisters who once had long lovely locks of hair came with shaved heads.  They had with them a dagger.  They had visited the sea witch in hopes of finding a way of getting Moira back.  They told Moira that she could return to the sea if she killed the prince and cut out his heart.  They handed her the dagger and told her that they will wait by the sea until she returned with the prince's heart.

It wasn't until the wedding night that Moira had plucked up enough courage to perform the deed.  Moira slipped into the royal chambers and stood over the prince's bed.  He was sleeping with his new wife in his arms and seeing them together, their limbs tangled and both of them sleeping with the bliss that sex could bring enraged her.  And it was the prince's careless words that gave her the courage to slit his throat, letting his blood flow out onto the pillow and then plunge her dagger into the wretched princess's temple.  Moira began the bloody task of cutting out her beloved's heart and then took the princess's heart as well.

When she returned to the sea, she gave the sea witch the prince's heart to become a mermaid once again and then princess's heart to get back her tongue.  And the Sea Witch gave her a dark bargin.  She offered the mermaid the ability to switch from human to mermaid form at will in exchange for her unborn child.  The child is not of the merfolk nor is he of the humans.  You cannot raise him here for he will drown and you will be known as a pariah for giving birth to such a freak.  And nor would you want to carry the seed of the one who betrayed you, let me pluck the bastard from your womb and give you a power that will allow you to swim in the sea and walk on land.

Moira accepted the deal and gave away her unborn child.

Now a mermaid and her voice back, one would think that she would find happiness again, but that is not so.  She had broken the law of the sea.  She had consorted with humans, she had performed a dark ritual that is punishable by death.  Her sisters were executed by their own father and Moira barely escaped with her own life.  She fled to the land and used her new ability to change to a human form to flee from her home.

Alone, naked, no family, power to her name, and no lover, she was alone.  But the one thing she did have was her voice which was still lovely.  And had a power of its own.  She started as a bard, but then soon sink to that of a prostitute in the brothel of the Three Pigs.

Weaponry:  the dagger, the same dagger she used to murder her beloved and his wife

Powers:  Moira can become a mermaid in a body of water whether in the sea or a tub of water.  When she is a mermaid she can swim at high speeds and breath underwater.  Her voice also has a empathetic affect depending on her vocals.  She can made someone weep, laugh, or even feet lust or terror.

Goss

Hi everyone. Got Dark Deception to approve this, wanted to see what you all think.

Alias: Rumpelstiltskin
Age:  43
Gender: Male
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 200 lbs.
Background:

Rumpelstiltskin grew up in a cottage secluded from most towns and villages. One cold winter his parents
had fallen ill from a wicked streak of pneumonia and died. With neither of his parents to guide him in
life and having no other family, he eventually turned to crime to keep himself alive. He had found that
one of his favorite crimes involved kidnapping infants for either holding them for ransom or selling
them into the human trafficking trade. Another one was stealing gold jewelry and putting in its place his signature handful of straw, later earning him the nickname the "Straw Handed Bandit".

As years passed Rumpelstiltskin began to detest and grow bored of what he was doing, and decided to take up an honest life. He remembers his mother once telling him that she hoped that he got into textiles. She used to spin wool to make the family's clothing, and admits that he had helped her out on occasions. Deep down he didn't want to be a spinner for more than one reason, and decided to go the path he was more curious about;blacksmithing.

So his plan became a reality. He had worked harder than he had ever before, and after going from
apprentice to master, became a skilled blacksmith. Over the years he moved closer to civilization and
changed his name to Gunther Applebaum, feeling that his old name with all the thievery, kidnapping, and
murder attached to it should be erased from history.

All seemed bright for the blacksmith, but a problem continued to persist, he was not well known enough to get his own shop in production. This changed one opportunistic night when the blacksmith discovered a young beautiful woman weeping in a room filled with straw. As the story goes, her job was to spin the straw into gold. Charmed by her beauty he agreed to help with the understanding that he would get compensated for his work. She said she would see him paid equal to the gold he would make, and he believed her.

Soon after she fell fast asleep, and he began to remove the straw from the room. When he returned, he carted in and melted down all that was left of the gold jewelry he stole in his past and carefully wove it onto various spindles by hand alone. In this fashion he figured he could return the jewelry he stole back into the rightful hands. Afterward he snuck out. The blacksmith visited the young woman the next morning for his payment, but she refused. Angry, he left the room without even looking back.

Through talk he discovered that the young woman had an infant child. The old demeanor of Rumpelstiltskin
slowly began to emerge once again. He slipped into the woman's house the next night and nabbed the child
without even a hint of hesitation. Overcome with joy over this situation, he decided to play a game with her. If she could guess his old name within three days, then he would return the infant unharmed. If she
couldn't, then the infant would be slain by his own hands as payment.

He knew no one in town knew his old name, he could already see that he had won. All this fell apart the
following night when the woman overheard him mutter his name out loud in an inebriated state at the local pub. When she told him his name was Rumpelstiltskin on the third night, he literally fell apart. He became so furious that he leaped off his feet in an effort to murder the woman and her infant, but failed when he was chased away by the townsfolk who had been already standing ready after hearing the woman's plea.

Rumpelstiltskin returned to his old habits that day, no longer caring about an "honest days work." He
knew he could never open a shop as a famous blacksmith, until he came across The Queen. Proving himself
to her to be plenty worthy, she recruited him to make weapons and armor for the hordes of her army. It was a wise move, he thought as he considered what he had done in the past, to serve under the protection of most powerful ruler in the land.

Basic Appearance: Short with a well defined muscular physique that appears almost box-like. His
black hair is grown long and dangles midway down his back. His beard and mustache obscure half of his
face. A pair of beady eyes are sunken so deep behind knobby cheeks that they are marked only by the
shadows casted by his brow bone. His clothing of choice is very dull. A green long sleeve cotton shirt is worn
underneath a dark brown jerkin with green pants and a green conical shaped hat that droops at the top on his head to match. Always liking to protect his feet from falling hot embers he chose a pair of thick heavy hide boots. During his work in the smith he removes the shirt and cap in favor of an apron.

Personality: Rumpelstiltskin is described as demanding, unbending, gullible, quick to anger, and cruel. When the situation calls for him to pick a plan, he likes to stick with it without any variations. He becomes
overconfident in a situation where he thinks he sees his own victory, but most of the time proves to be his
downfall. When his failure hits him like a brick to the face, he scrambles in a panic to find a way to solve the
problem as fast as possible. This first results in him throwing a temper tantrum, and then deciding whether he
should run away or kill the one standing in front of him. A true sore loser. Making a deal with him should not be
taken lightly because required payments from individual strangers tend to be outrageous. To reinforce this it's a
known fact that he never breaks a deal; no amount of pleading can change this. Only loyal to the Queen.

Likes: Bonfires, solitude, ale, most anything made out of straw, wooden spinning wheels or anything that
resembles them.

Dislikes: Broken promises, being tricked, shaping fine metals, work without some form of compensation in
return.

Psychological Disorder(s):

After the event that warped him back into what he was before, he developed a great satisfaction from tormenting pretty young women. During times of low productivity When the queen allows him to he forces them into his forging chambers, ties them to a torture table, and repeatedly burns them over a period of time with a long red hot chisel.

Manifesting itself as a youngster, Rumpelstiltskin has had a fascination with the motion of rotating wooden wheels. This doesn't only include wheels from spinners, but also the wheels on wagons. The fascination is practically hypnotic; his mind will fade away from reality and time will be lost to hm. Despite having a childish love for them, he does his best to avoid having any in his possession as they are obvious distractions.

Partner: There are occasions when Rumpelstiltskin uses some of the house staff as assistants in his work. Other than that he has no one.

Weaponry: A large number of blacksmithing tools and weaponry; swords, axes, spears, clubs, or whatever weapon he can think up or is requested to be made.

Powers

Earthquake: Able to create a small local earthquake just by stomping his right leg on the ground. Sometimes it can be so intense that he actually punches through the ground and gets it stuck! Has the potential to knock foes off their feet and cause ruptures on most surfaces. Depending on the flooring, it's even possible for chasms to form. Can only be achieved once in a while both during a time peak physical strength and infuriation (a couple time a month).

Magic Lantern: Acquired from his parents as a trinket passed down by each generation. It's origins are
unknown. When the Lantern is lit it gives the user an unusual ambiance of clear bright light for such a little
flame. When the flame is blow out and on the user's possession, they fade into a near invisible state that only the keenest set of eyes could uncover. This was his aid in kidnapping and thievery in his younger years.

If Snow White is still available, I do think I would like to play as her.

I mean what comes to mind when that name is  mentioned. 'Gretel'!

Hmm,

Leads little boys astray, charms and defeats evil witches, defeats those who abuse children, precociously bright.  Not much else coming to mind.

Dark Deception

#92
I'm still looking for a Snow White and for any players that have been browsing this section, I have to admit that I do have a preference for how I would like Snow White to be. Just a basic one:

Dominant (she can also be dom/sub, but I'm sure she would be very resistant to sub if her partner was male) - she's the Mafia Head of Seven. She is going to be a woman in power and it would be pretty hot if she wore the whole suits, ties--male apparel because she might be too tomboy to wear female clothes. She might even dislike being compared to the female stereotype.

Hardcore She might be strict, and she also is unafraid to kill. In fact, you would rather her dwarves than her coming to kill you. She may also be the one doing the torture.

Sexy/Hot/Attractive On top of all this, she is gorgeous and she is rather sexy in a dark sense with her mannerisms. It will be like the whole poison apple scenario. She looks delicious, but if you take a bite you might lose your life.

If you don't think you can play a dominant female or Snow White, don't try to ask for her role. It is better if you just turn away. I would rather have a player who looked at this description, got excited, and was confident that he or she could play the part. You must be confident in yourself and your writing.

Alias: Snow White (Zylphia)

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Height: 5’6

Weight: 124lbs

Appearance: Just as the rumors say, her skin is as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and hair as black as night. Her eyes are a striking blue that can be cold with rage or cool as water in summer. Her hair is a rich black waterfall of ringlets that fall past her shoulders. It is usually tied up in a regular Victorian fashion. She has bangs that border her face, though usually flip to the side at an angle above her brow. Her dress is a shortened Victorian style that stops in poufy folds around her knees. The dress is pinstripe with an accent of deep red. She wears black heeled boots and long black silk gloves. ((Will be drawn later.))

Personality: Many question where Zylphia’s intentions lie since her vengeance is reputable and she runs a Mafia. However, those that know her know a good-mannered personality both strong and inviting as her beauty. Though when crossed, she is a ruthless force of vengeance to be reckoned with. She is wary with people at first and rather intimidating, though this is just a precaution. Once in her good graces, she treats you like family. Since she is scared to be like her stepmother, she remains humble despite being the fairest. Her cheeks often get rosy with embarrassment from compliments.

Likes: cleanliness, order, good music,

Dislikes: Mistreatment of others, betrayers, evil-doers

Personality Disorder: Extreme OCD

Background: Many years ago, a duchess gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, yet unfortunately died in the process. Her husband soon remarried to a vain woman, a witch, who was proud and known greatly for her beauty. She held the duke under a powerful spell of amour, making him happily subdued to her every whim. The witch soon became the head of the household, the wealth, and land by the use of her power. And every night, she would seat herself in front of her mirror proudly and ask it:

“Oh mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of us all?”

“Thou art the fairest, dear duchess.” It relied and the witch was pleased.

As the years went by, though, the baby girl, named Zylphia, grew into a fine young woman. Many pursued and admired her, and her complexion soon dubbed her the nickname “Snow White.” The witch eyed the girl warily as time passed; knowing she was that of beauty, yet the girl lived happily and safely after every day the witch confirmed with the mirror that she was, indeed, still the fairest. Until, one day, the witch sat herself down in front of the mirror and said:

“Oh mirror, mirror on the wall,
who is the fairest of us all?”

“Thou wert the fairest, dear duchess,
For now Snow White doth beauty bless.”

Outraged, the witch tossed the fair maiden into servitude, hoping to tarnish the beauty through tenuous labor. Bitten by betrayal and losing her entire life of luxury, Zylphia pleaded to her father to speak with her stepmother. Blinded by love, the duke lashed at the girl and tossed her under more labor. As the years dragged by, the maiden’s heart remained good, yet hardened under the relentless whip of her stepmother and father, yet her beauty prevailed. During the time of her servitude, her only solace was the seven servant dwarves that she befriended.

Zylphia still remaining the fairest and the stepmother became poisoned by her own vanity. Crazed with jealousy, she demanded her husband to order the fair maidens death, and he did so without hesitation. Zylphia was arrested and ordered to be hanged the next day without trail. Though that night, the seven dwarves freed her from the prison. Having had enough of the torment, Zylphia grabbed a blade from the guard. Though her beauty remained fair, the labor had made her muscles strong, her wits keen, and her body agile. With the help of the Seven, Zylphia snuck into the chamber of her parents, killed her father, and captured her stepmother. She put the witch through many days of torture, making her dance in iron shoes heated to red hot until the witch died.

Freed from her servitude, Zylphia took over the land, wealth and power of her father. She made her dwarven friends members of her court. The maiden was as fair a ruler as her beauty, though her vengeance was wildly known and few crossed her. Using her father’s power and wealth, she used it to create a Mafia structure with the code name “Snow White”. When the Evil Queen took over, Zylphia immediately began her own revolt against her. Some say something in the Evil Queen’s actions struck a nerve…

Partners: The Seven (though I’ll have them on neutral so that anyone can use them, unless Dark Deception dictates otherwise)

Weaponry: Zylphia is famous for her poison usage for her enemies, mainly with apples. Since she does live the life of a Dona in a Mafia, she has trained herself to defend with a sword. She also uses her stepmothers mirror as a source of information.

I understand Zylphia's storyline borders with yours, Deception, with the witch taking over and oppressing. I was keeping it similar to the Snow White tale, and I figured it would be a great motivator for Zylphia to have a grudge against witches and them taking over households. If you don't like that, I can change it.
