Kekkei Genkais are made up by the anime people all the time, so just go ahead. Aslong as it isn't anything like immortality, or a eye beyond the power of the rinnegan.

Zaer Darkwail

Is the general level of the team going be two jounin's and then four genji's?

Zelric Miras

How does Doroboo no Suishou (Thief's crystal) sound for a kekkei genkai that steals elemental chackra and transforms it into crystals and viceversa, giving the user control over these crystals and their shape?

Orochimaru

Just because I Wanna be the bad guy.

Name: Ryuumaru
Age: 45
Appearance:

Rank: Sennin
Affliction: None
Kekkei Genkai: Dragon Eye
Elemental  Chakra: Wind, Earth and Fire
Specialization: In due time.
Bio: All will be told in due time.

I kinda wanna kept him and motives a mystery till later. Kind of like how Orochimaru was, but I wanna mix things up. To be sure, the dragon eye is strong, but I will try not to make it so over powered. I do wanna play fair after all. Hope noone will mind the mystery.

Well if its your elemental chakra its one thing, but not if its someone elses it dosn't really fit, sense a kekkei genkai is something physical inside the body, such as certain irregular parts of the body (eyes/arms) Or unique chakra structures. He could steal chakra, or use his own to transform it into crystals (as both have been seen in the show.) but both seems really iffy.

I would like to join in as well, this sounds like fun.

I love the idea of operating during the ninja wars. Lots of crazy things happened then and its a great opportunity to have strange team set ups and interesting encounters.

Akamatsu Tojiro Takamori (The Ghost of the Leaf)

Age: 18
Rank: Chunin. While he is quite powerful he is still young and still learning how to control and use his power without harming himself and his teammates. Akamatsu trains to hold his justu back rather than make it stronger.

Affiliation : Village of the Hidden Leaf

Affliction: While very powerful in the methods of Genjutsu he has trouble controlling his own chakra and his Genjutsu is always in operation in one way or another, always operating on those around him in a small way even when he is at rest, small illusions, shadows on the wall. He produces an immense amount of chakra but the more he uses the more uncontrolled it gets and there is a chance that he can become lost in his own power. Excessive use will harm him internally.

His forbidden water techniques are almost always used and practiced in secret. Akamatsu knows that they are forbidden. He doesn't understand exactly how he knows that it is wrong to use these jutsus but he knows that they are evil and dangerous.

He has a crippling fear of fire jutsus and as a result his use of fire chakra is almost non existent.

Kekkei Genkai: Broken. Any blood line based jutsus his family might have had have long since been destroyed or despoiled by Togawa's influence.

Elemental chakra: Wind (in training), Water, Forbidden Water (weak against fire)

Specialization:  Wild Genjutsu, Forbidden Water Techniques, infiltration, interrogation

Bio:

Akamatsu's grandfather Hara was a great water chakra ninja from the Land of Water. While he was very powerful, he specialized in helping other villages develop their lands and coasts. When the first ninja war came, he was not prepared for its ferocity and was taken prisoner by Togawa Heiichiro Kazumasa, the Water Ghost from the Land of Wind.

Togawa was given the task of pacifying the water nation and used his amazing genjutsu powers to decimate all of the water nation's forces nearly single-handedly. Togawa picked the most powerful chakra users from his many battlefields and allowed everyone to think that they had been killed when instead he had used his genjutsu abilities to change their memories making them loyal to him and part of a special family.

It was Togawa's ambition to rise to the top during the war and he used the  medical ninjas he had subverted to breed, influence and in some cases build children who would be particularly adept in certain narrow applications. His ghosts.

Akamatsu's father was one such being, kept captive all his life, he developed a variety of water nature transformations that would become forbidden as soon as they were understood by the Ninja world. Akamatsu's never knew his mother but she too was a controlled loyalist.

Togawa proved so dangerous that several nations dispatched detachments to end his threat and despite his careful planning and powerful shock troops, the Water Ghost could not prevail against the combined might of many nations. True to his nature for planning though, Togawa had sent some of his most promising creations away to be raised abroad with the intention of recalling them. Togawa died in the Battle of Phantoms toward the end of the First Ninja War.

Akamatsu was raised by a burned mountain hermit known only as Mon, in the land of fire knowing nothing of his cursed heritage. The hermit was harsh and cruel drilling him daily in the forbidden techniques of his father, developing his latent abilities at Genjutsu and pushing him as hard as any ninja in training. He finally went too far when, in an attempt to force him to use his Genjutsu with more force Mon ripped open his mind pouring in a life of pain and horror, his knowledge of war and a deep and abiding fear of fire.

Akamatsu's soul rebelled from the core of his being with a counter assault the destroyed Mon but not before some of his chakra channels were burned open. After a lengthy battle he gained control of his chakra, but only just.

He traveled to the nearest ninja village and offered himself to their mercy. One of the instructors took him under his wing. Thus far no connection has been made between Akamatsu and the infamous Water Ghost. Even Akamatsu only knows his face from nightmare dreams.

Zebu

Alright!  It's good to see so much interest in this.  Since Anzu's squad seems woefully empty...

Name: Maeno Juro  [Don't complain.  After fourteen children you'd be running out of ideas too.]

Age: 16

Appearance:  Juro tends to wear clothes that are either brown or deep crimson. The design emphasizes avoidance of heat rather than protection against cold, but it does cover all of his body except the face.  The fabrics are generally smooth, without any designs or identifying marks.
His skin is tan, eyes are blue, and hair is black. He’s about 4’ 8” tall and weighs about 80 pounds.  He carries the weight around with a slim frame—no muscles bulging in his sleeves, but no paunch either.
His posture is generally a slight hunch.  It’s minor enough that when his arms are relaxed (most of the time) they hang parallel to his legs.  It does make him seem smaller, though.
His overall appearance is quite generic, except for the extra padding on his forearms and the sometimes-visible horizontal cut just above the hairline on his forehead.  His hair is always kept short enough that it doesn’t get in his eyes.  In fact, if you saw him in his favored garb, you might not even be able to tell what color his hair is.
[Couldn't find a picture I liked, suggestions welcome!]

Rank: Genin

Affiliation: Konoha

Kekkei Genkai: Two stages-
1. Jishuku-- the ultimate form of self-control, to the point of being able to consciously break down fat cells and release adrenalin.  Also the ability to give yourself a heart attack, but that's not as useful.  It still happens.
2. Seisuru-- By introducing their own genetic material into several key points (both ends of the spinal column, the brain, the heart) on another person's body, a user of Jishuku can exert self-control over someone else's "self."  The effect is highly dependent on proximity, though if it is sustained for a long time a skillful user of this tehcnique can realign the subject's body to increase the range and power of the effect.

Chakra Element: Wind

Specialization: Efficient taijutsu, low-energy ninjutsu, Kekkei Genkai techniques.

Bio:
Juro was born fourteenth to a pair of reasonably competent Shinobi (one male, one female, one Jounin, one chuunin) in the Village Hidden in the Leaves.  While the experiences of a child’s first years are no doubt
extremely important and foundational to a child’s future attitude, they are also almost always forgotten by the child in question, probably with good reason, so we will do likewise.

By the time he was six years old, his training as a Shinobi was underway.  When he was eight he received his first test on controlling his emotions—his mother died of an embolism.  Such a small thing!  In the course of explaining why his perfectly healthy mother died while shopping for dinner, Juro’s father probably produced his son’s focus on detail and control.  The two spent a lot of time talking, a habit that continues in the present day.
The two also spent a lot of time training, both generally to exhaustion.  His father’s philosophy was that it was the duty of every shinobi to be as strong as possible, which meant constant practice.  Special attention was given to the Kekkei Genkai.  While his father never said so explicitly, he clearly didn't want his son to die from something as preventable as an embolism.
In his studies at the academy, Juro was relentless in his efforts to learn everything his teachers had to offer.  It was a fairly popular habit at most times, but following a weary instructor practically to the door of his house, firing questions all the way, prompted several lectures on tact.  It took almost a year before he began distinguishing between his father and other adults.
You may note that there is little mention of his interaction with other students.  There wasn’t much, actually.  Older students weren’t interested in talking with him, and younger students didn’t know
anything he wanted to talk about.  Juro spent a great deal of time in solitude.  It is possibly during this time that his unique sense of “duty” developed, with not altogether negative results.  One incident
should illustrate:
Solitude is not readily available in a dense community such as the leaf village. Juro wandered quite broadly in his attempts to find it. Once, when attempting Kawarimi no Jutsu (substitution), he chose as his replacement a large, papery object in the upper branches of a tree. It turned out to be the home of a colony of Vespa Mandarinia. The nest was torn from its moorings and split in half when it hit the ground, resulting in an extremely angry swarm at both locations. Their stingers proved effective against his thin clothing, and he fell from the smaller swarm in the tree's branches into the larger one near the base. Even using a wind jutsu to create an opening in the mass of massive hornets, he barely escaped alive.
After some time spent in a tub of lemon juice and ice water, he was functional again. He left the village carrying some paste, some honeybee larva from a bemused Aburame clan beekeeper, some rice paper, and several small pieces of wood. His clothing was substantially more solid and included a wire helmet. The thought process behind all of this was quite simple: completely unnecessary harm had been done, and it was his responsibility to undo it. It was not long before he arrived at the tree and saw the split hive and the swarming wasps.
It took him more than 24 hours of steady work to carefully move all of the nest pieces back up the tree and repair the damage. While he was working, he put out the larva. Now only a portion of the hornets were busy trying to sting him-- the others were feeding their larvae with the new food. After a while, the creatures seemed to grow tired of trying to penetrate his clothes and moved off.
As he was putting the last layer of paper onto the hive, a strange wasp landed on his finger. It was strange because it was almost five and a half inches long, more than twice the size of the hive’s queen. It was also strange because its highly visible stinger was barbed as if it were a bumblebee.
"I'm sorry the paper isn't as good as what you had before. It was the best I could find. I didn't know it was a nest, really!" Speaking to a hornet might possibly be attributed to the fact that not all of the venom in his body had been neutralized. It was certainly what he later believed made him imagine what came next. The insect crawling on his hand nodded once, then slid forwards along his wrist, its stinger slicing through his heavy sleeve as if it was paper. When it lifted up, there was a thin red line on his exposed arm, and on the tool that had done the damage. The creature crawled into the rebuilt hive, and Juro clambered down the tree (unmolested) and back home to sleep.
Nothing further came of the incident (except a splitting headache) until a few months later, when his class was learning about summoning jutsus. After that, Juro had some friends who knew things he very much wanted to know.
It was during this time that he began demonstrating his unusually defensive taijutsu style.  Some found it odd that one of his age could deflect a kunai with a tiny hand movement.  When they asked how it was accomplished, he answered one word: "Practice." In a way, that word summarizes much of his life to the present date.

A four-time veteran of the Chuunin exams, Juro was repeatedly passed over without comment in the final stage.  There are rumors, of course, but he's not the only Genin of his age, and its impossible to prove anything about what happened in the Forest of Death.  He's recently been assigned to a new squad.

And now that my sheet is out there for everyone to critique, I have a few comments:

1. A person is afflicted with cancer and affiliated with a village.  I wouldn't have brought it up, but it seems everyone is trying to follow Sin's (otherwise excellent) example.

2. A few comments for my future fellow-Genin:

Be careful about age.  It's normal to graduate the Academy at 12, and a gifted shinobi would normally become Chuunin 2-3 years after that.  But E has a minimum character age of 16.  Which makes situations like this annoying.  Just wanted to get that off my chest :).

Chakra Elements: Manipulating chakra from one element is something very special for a Genin.  Manipulating two elements is a Jounin-level ability, and a strong one at that.  There's only one person in the entire Naruverse who can use five elements, and he's got an eye technique to explain it.  If you can use multiple elements at a young age, you're a genius, and people probably treated you as such.

3. Plot time!  Since it looks like we have one villain, one Chuunin, two Jounin (one of whom is going to be a squad leader), one person who hasn't named a rank, and my Genin...  If we want everyone (Orochi excepted, of course) in one group, why not make it an away mission?  That'd save us from needing to NPC all of Konoha if a fight starts, allow for multiple storylines at the same time, explain why there are two Jounin with the squad, and create plenty of opportunities for smaller groups to split off and rejoin.

Ok, here is application to Anzu's genin squad;

Name: Vale Dazaki

Age: 17

Appearance:

http://www.quizilla.com/user_images/D/DA/DAG/Dagger-Ninja/1177626194_AnimeBoy51.jpg
(a red headed leaf green eyed pretty boy, was one girl's favorite guys in academy)

Rank: Genin

Affliction: Konoha, Ninja Village of Leaf

Kekkei Genkai: Shinigami (very minor tap, powers sealed by Kage and Sanni level ninja assisted in ritual)
-Life Sense; knows in close range life sources and what is physical condittion of the life force, by passes any genjutsu disguise people's chakra as ability does not detect chakra only but it detects it also when it's not disguised. Studying day or two can recognize the invidual life source. If several life sources together it blurs to together and makes finding invidual life source very hard.

Elemental chakra: None

Specialization: Minor tap to Kekkei Genkai, excelent practice and knowlegde of basic ninja skills (Genin level ones), excelent knowlegde about medical ninja skills (but no advanced techniques nor chakra use, just knows how treat injuries with mundane methods)

Bio: Vale Dazaki is Kohona's orphan with mysterious past. He was raised in local orphanage until in age of six he moved to work as assistant in pharmacy shop. Soon it was found he has very keen eye and mind for body condittion of others, like know by instinct what ills them. So she was trained in medical skills in his early life and know how create medicine from herbs. He moved into academy also same time when he moved to live by himself in age of seven.

He showed dedication to his studies in all basic genin shinobi skills, he was not genius but he was good in all tests and learned fast the techniques. He can throw kunai well (and has some uncanny knowlegde how throw it into mark without killing the target....or cause debilitating injury from scratch), he can create one clone and also disguise his appearance well enough and knows how use most basic ninja tools. By academy's mentor has send recommendation to send Vale to med ninja corps, but Vale refused to head that direction. As he wants work on actual field instead stay Kohona full time. Anycase to him is recommended he gets training in medical techniques besides physical combat ones after beyond academy graduation.

Socially speaking Vale is what some could call 'chick magnet'. He has naturally handsome face and brilliant green eyes, but he has not been anysort ladies men. Actually his high sensitivity to bodily functions of others had made him feel uncomfortable to be near the women or other girls somereason. So he has rather sticked with guys as friends.

Hmm then how about his cells can focus the lingering chakra around him into cristalized form on his skin and he can manipulate that stored energy?

I guess its ultimately up to wolfy, sense he started the game. But that sounds awfully lot like Sage chakra...Still if it was to a limited degree, and not unlimited.

Zelric Miras

It would eventually wear down his skin so I $guess it has it's drawbacks. I'll give it somethought, perhaps before Wolfy posts. ^^

Alright i've been thinking of a concept. Its five hundred years after the events in Naruto (long enough for the cannon to have no effect on this world). The ninja world had enjoyed generations of peace (For we all know thats how naruto is gonna end.) But peace is a foolish illusion, as all the nations fought over various reasons. Tough things managed to remain civil, until three hundred years ago, when the current Tsuchikage was assassinated. No one knew who was responsible, but the Hidden Stone Village, was sure that it was all orchestrated by the Hidden Sand Village, as the two nations had argued over mutual resources for some time now. The Kazekage denied all accusation thrown at him. When all diplomacy failed, the new Tsuchikage declared war upon the hidden sand. The Hidden leaves and Hidden mist village joined the hidden sand to protect them from the Tsuchikage's onslaught. Tough the Raikage, believed the hidden sand was responsible for the assassination, and stopped what most believed would be a quick victory.

The war dragged on longer then anyone would have expected. As all sides lost people, and resources became more and more fought over, the ninja alliance officially broke apart, two hundred and sixty years ago, marking the start of the fifth ninja war.

Its been two hundred and sixty years sense the declaration of the ninja war. While the people in the villages live normal life's, missions and foreign lands are more dangerous then ever. Due to this, ninja's doesn't graduate the academy until a much later age, (Unlike 11 that it was in the original) as all villages lost far to many inexperienced youths, at the wake of the war.

Just very simple draft, none of this have to be mentioned as the reasons of the war matters very little.

Any opinions?

Sounds good to me, perhaps a bit more background towards what happened with the bijuus and if there was a war for that long, smaller countries would be either erradicated or assimilated, most areas would be barren and in ruins. We should also consider the occasional direct attacks to other villages.

Zebu

I'm thinking that after 260 years, defenses at the villages themselves would be high enough that attacking them is a waste of resources.  But since resources are scarce, there's a much stronger incentive to attack those areas, even just to deny them to the enemy (read: burning crops in the fields).
Also, with a ninja war this long, I'd imagine the actual heads of the nations would be pretty sick of it by now.  Or maybe they've sided with their own villages?  Since it's a ninja war, rather than a traditional battle, most normal people probably decided to "stay out of the way."  So the impact on the ordinary citizens is probably more indirect (scarcity) than direct in any way.
Also, since the war began 3 on 2, Kumogakure and (especially) Iwagakure saw more than their proportional share of fighting.  The areas near those villages would be especially desolate.  And especially dangerous for foreign shinobi, too.

"Power enhancements" like transplanted eyes and bijuu would be highly prized.  I'd expect every village to have at least one person with any given Doujutsu.  But "collectors" like Danzo would probably be gone unless they were Kage-- after all, the first transplanted Sharingan helps a lot more than the tenth.  There would be a lot fewer "Forbidden techniques" (that is, msot forbidden techniques are now permitted) at this stage, since even the most conservative village would be fairly desperate after the first century or so.
Bijuu...  I don't see why villages would turn on their allies because the war was long.  Historically, it seems like long wars result in unlikely alliances (like the Allies in WWII).  BUT, if the allied villages suspected the other villages had stolen their Bijuu, it would be a different story entirely.  So perhaps all of the villages are now in conflict because no one knows where the Bijuu are-- everyone thinks some other village is hiding them, waiting for the right moment to strike and CONQUER THE WORLD!!!!  Yeah.  So lots of paranoia.  As for where our beloved demons are actually hiding...  I'd say some mysterious and powerful organization that none of the players are in any way affiliated with has them.  They are, in fact, waiting for just the right moment, but that moment is a long way away (when we run out of all other ideas, probably).

I really like the explanation for higher graduation ages being the norm, by the way.  Much kudos :).

If resources are scarce enough, that would also explain why villages aren't just forcing everyone under the rank of Jounin to stay home-- they can't afford to.  Yes, missions are dangerous, but if two-thirds of the village stopped working then everyone would starve.  So it's still possible that Genin are being sent out.  And the extra training means that the average Genin/Chuunin in this world is much stronger than the average canon Genin/Chuunin.  Which fits in well with the characters we have, I think.  So yes, this is an excellent idea.  Again, extreme kudos.

Sounds really good. Yeah my suggestion was just a very simple draft, thanks for doing all the bothersome work for me.

Zaer Darkwail

I agree on all accounts with Zebu, very good draft for the plot and also explain why genin are older and also often more skilled than cannon ones in Naruto.

Also it can explain why former ANBU members are assigned to work as 'baby sitters' even in casual missions. As best spot hinder enemy village is to kidnap or kill their younglings so watching over new generation would ask tremendous amount of skill and devotion, to able face off (or at least buy time for younglings to run) most threats.

Also consider the centuries warfare there could be stricter punishments for crimes or breaking the rules, but it entirely depends on what sort Kage is leading the clan at the moment.
