Proxy help!

I'm trying to download a file on a site that I have to reach via proxy, but everytime I go to download it, it ends up in an unreadable format! Can anyone find a proxy site that can download files without any problems?

Not knowing the reason for the proxy (Faking an IP adress from another country or so on), I would suggest something like Hotspot shield, It seems to work fine for me as a Proxy, and the ads that it tacks onto pages shouldn't really worry you for the short amount of time of Downloading a File, however - You can also use things like Adblock Plus
