The ritual was long and bloody, but like anything worth doing, the reward would be worth all of the sacrifices, all the deaths, both personal and otherwise.  It had to be, because the world was sick, humanity itself was a plague, and it needed to be purged from the cosmos, once and for all.  As such, the young man and his twin sister chanted the spells, their combined magical aptitude and skill more than sufficient to break the now paltry seal that had been placed over his tomb.  Already, the pair could feel the rumbles beneath their feet as the dreaded castle began to stir, bringing with it all the terrors of the night that had once haunted men's dreams and waking hours, when things were so much 'simpler', but no less corrupt.  At least back then, the blatant abuses of those in power were 'masked' as godly men and women turning upon their fellows in order to achieve eternal salvation.  Now, in this much more modern age, corruption, vice, brothers turning against brothers for transient purpose and 'rewards', and far worse weren't hidden in the slightest.  They had the scars to prove it, both upon their very flesh, and their souls alike from a life of cruelty placed upon them both for the mere crime of being 'different' from the rest.

The seaside cliff they had started their ritual, draped in the light of a full blood moon, split and cracked, but neither feared for the other's safety as a dark purple platform of magical energy appeared, filled with glyphs and runes from long dead languages.  They continued, undeterred, chanting the final words to their immense undertaking, and in a flash of pale blue light, Castlevania, home to the dreaded, eternal Lord of the Night, Lord Vlad Dracula Tepes, appeared on solid ground once more.  Without a word, the twins moved their platform towards the castle, heading for the topmost tower, where Dracula's remains were supposed to reside.  The window barring their way was barely a footnote as it shattered inward from their mere presence, allowing them to land safely within the dusty, cobweb covered chamber that had once been so much more.  Books and arcane artifacts from every corner of the Old World lined every wall, with a pitch black coffin with the grandest gold inlay work they'd ever seen, lined with blessed silver, resided on a raised dais in the center of the room.  "Belmonts and their wards."  The woman, barely into her twenties, like her twin, spat out as she put a hand along the lid of the coffin, a disdainful glare in her one good green eye laid upon the final barrier between them and the end of the world as they knew it.  With just as much ease as the window, they blew the lid off with a combined flick of their wrists towards the ceiling, where it fell several dozen feet away, forgotten and abandoned.  Pulling a dagger from her belt, the robed woman shared a look with her brother, and together, they held their wrists above Dracula's skeletal visage, dried up and desiccated nearly beyond recognition, before opening their veins in a single fluid motion.  It didn't take much of their blood to restore Dracula to some semblance of his former power, and thus, the first step in their plan was put behind them.

"You brought me back."  The Dark Lord whispered as he ran a hand along the edge of his now empty coffin, his gaze on a picture that was situated on the back wall, between the two windows, one of which had been shattered.  "You've brought me back, to help you purge the world, and you tell me that the world has changed beyond even my imagination."

"Yes my lord."  The young man stated softly, he and his twin having taken a knee in willing supplication.  "We know well your history, and your eternal struggle to find peace from the very animals that took your beloved wife from you.  We know of a way to take you back to the past, so that you might get it right."

"Why would you help me to achieve this?"  He asked, deigning to stare at them both, his blood red eyes peering at them both with an intensity that was equaled only by his genuine curiosity about them both.  "The subjugation of your own kind?"  The hard looks he received in turn answered much, as did the physical scars they both bore upon their bodies that he could pick out as easily as a spider in its web would sense the presence of a fly.  "I see.  They've been cruel beyond measure to you as well.  So....where do we start?"

"If you'd allow, my Lord, the better question to ask, is 'When'."  The woman replied, her one good eye affixed firmly on Dracula's handsome face, her formerly bleeding wrist healed once more.  "With your castle and our magic, we can go anywhere, collect the strongest of your generals, your allies, and turn them into an united front the likes of which would make even God himself tremble in fear.  We know their histories, their failures, and while we cannot guarantee they would all survive the days to come, we CAN give them the tools to achieve what you desire most."  The keen interest in Dracula's gaze was as hypnotic as it was intoxicating to the pair.

"Very well.  When do we start?"  He asked after a pregnant pause had fallen between them, his words punctuated by a distant crack of lightning that cast him in blinding light and shadow both....[/b][/color]

While I'm hoping my first group game, (since my D&D group has started up and is currently going well), will be the one that gets picked up, if this Castlevania group is instead the one to push forward, then I'd be happy with this being the one people want more than my modern fantasy, light hearted romp in a town called Brook Haven.  :D  Besides, after watching the amazing second season of the new anime for Castlevania, and seeing how the Netflix's version of the lore, characters, and settings has all come so brilliantly together, I am MORE than happy to run with this idea, just the other one was my more immediate priority I suppose lol.  Anyway, enough about that, let's get this underway!

The general idea is that these twin human mages, in our modern age, has obtained such an understanding of magic and science, which Castlevania has an unholy combination of both given some of the nightmarish creatures you can find prowling the castle's grand gothic halls, that they've figured out a way to travel across time AND reality both, meaning that ANYONE from any of the games, Lord of Shadows 1 and 2, the various SNES and PS 2 and 3 games, as well as the anime, can be used in this, as well as any OC variant or just OC characters outright, can be put together for this little war on all of humanity.  The story would pick up AFTER everyone has gathered within Dracula's hall, meaning the twins have kept their promise to pick up Dracula's chosen followers.  You certainly don't need to know the lore from the various series to put a character together since you can come from pretty much anywhere at any point in time, but I WOULD prefer unique takes on otherwise beloved canon characters.  Carmilla for example, is my personal favorite, and I'm already entertaining ideas to kinda make a fusion of her more famous appearances and her most recent from the anime's second season.  (Her newest appearance is especially HOT without being outright overblown as it was in Lord of Shadows 2.  She was still pretty awesome though lol.)  So again, if you don't know the lore but would prefer to pick one of the MANY allies that Dracula has to his name, you're free to do so as long as you at least research your pick to get some of the more basic personality traits and such accurate.  And again, totally original characters are also more than acceptable, either based from one of the past games, OR from our modern age, I simply ask that you explain as best you can why they are willing to fight against humanity itself.

As for WHEN the inevitable war begins, I'm thinking that we make it simple and have a totally unprepared mortal world be their 'training ground' since the Belmonts wouldn't be a thing in our day and age.  Neither would most of the old orders of monster hunters, priests, mages, and all the rest.  There WOULD be opposition, but nothing that would really pose a threat anymore.  The real threat would likely be the other characters since lines would likely be drawn, but there wouldn't be any character deaths without explicit consent from the player.  That and Dracula and the twins, (who are open for someone to take up if anyone so desires), would do their best to keep so many evil people in check in any event.  So by all means, plot, scheme, and try to out maneuver each other, but if it gets in the way of the overall war or ends in blood, then God help you.   >:)  As for why I'm letting them loose on the modern age, I rather like the idea that our cast of outcast sorcerers, devil forgemasters, vampires, fae, and far more besides, are able to find ways to work together and become a force of true darkness and evil that will not be stopped.  That and I figure, nothing brings people together than mutual mayhem and chaos.  :P  Lol but seriously, I HOPE this goes well for all involved.

For the moment, this is an interest thread, but if enough people come along, I and I HOPE a co-GM will be able to get a character sheet together pretty quickly.  So, anyone want to join the Night and wreak bloody mayhem upon the world?  ;D

A WORD OF WARNING!

This group game will be anime levels of bloody.  Babies might get eaten, heads will be put on spikes, and rivers of blood will flow out from every city street before this is over.  If any of this offends or makes you sick to your stomach, I suggest you turn back now.  This WILL be Extreme, and not just for the above, (expect zombies, Frankenstein like creatures being literally put together, sacrificial rituals requiring flesh and soul to be used while the victim is still alive, etc), but I DON'T want Non-con to be a thing among our characters.  Raping and forcing NPCs to be 'cooperative' is more than fine, but despite our evil natures and all, we ARE supposed to be working together.  :P  If there's anything else I need to put out there, i'll do my best to let you guys know as updates are worked out.  At any rate, see ya!

IMPORTANT!

Per a friend's request, I'm more than happy to allow for both villians AND heroes across every part of the Castlevania series.  While my original intent was for this to be set around Dracula and a newly created War Council, I'm happy to allow the idea that the magic being used has also dragged the various heroes across the various games and the recently released show, so by all means, throw me your original or canon characters for the Belmonts, the Belnades, the Order of Light from the Lord of Shadows games, and far more besides.  See ya!

How heroes will be included

If you have any questions or you need something addressed, please PM both myself and SweetSeranade because we WILL be talking to each other regardless.  It's just easier if we're both on the same page regarding any issues either IC or just with other players.  Thank you!

We're also hoping to maintain a mostly even ratio of heroes, villains, as well as male and female characters, so we might occasionally ask for Y instead of X just so everything's in balance.

RULES

My apologies but we should've done this a hell of a lot sooner.

FIRST!  Have fun, naturally.  :P
SECOND!  Respect each others' ons/offs, and general limitations.  This should be obvious of course, but it's still worth repeating, especially since there are some things we won't be allowing, period, mostly because this is going in the Extreme section for a damn good reason due to the high likelihood of random NPCs being disemboweled and dismembered.  These are fucking vampires, not your Twilight sparkly wannabees playing at such a coveted terrifying title.  (Lol in all seriousness I DID like Twilight, but those are not vampires in the traditional sense.  These vampires and their various allies are evil incarnate and should be treated as such.)
THIRD!  DO NOT GODMOD.  While there will be fighting, and possibly people dying, we will not allow people to arbitrarily control a fight in any fashion.  Come to a mutual agreement as to how a fight ends, either in the OOC that'll be put together if we get a couple more profiles up, or PM each other how you'd prefer a fight to end.  And for the love of God, there won't be people being raped after a fight, please and thank you.  This isn't hentai, but 'life and death' struggles between the forces of good and evil.  We're expecting people to present themselves accordingly.  :P
FOURTH!  Myself and SweetSerenade are in charge, what we say might as well be written in stone and carried down the mountain itself ala Moses.  If you have a problem with another player, please PM myself and her at the same time so we can hopefully work things out.  Bans will hopefully not be necessary, but we WILL bring the wrath of God down upon the offender if such a thing is required.  (I joke but we'd rather not have to ask anyone to leave, but we will if we have to.)
FIFTH!  Speaking of combat, but while we're not going to do any kind of system or anything, it should be written in such a way to allow someone to respond.  You DO NOT automatically hit another opponent, no matter how overpowered you are in whatever way you happen to be.  Even Dracula will have limits as to what he can do.  And the inverse of this is naturally, no one can dodge or counterattack forever, allow your character to take a hit on occassion and the like.  If anyone is presenting their actions in such a way as to assume they're just able to deflect, attack, or dodge or whatever without fear of reprisal, we will be stepping in to correct that line of thinking.
SIXTH!  The NPCs are going to be far above either side at the start of this.  IF they step in, whether they be Dracula, a Belmont NPC, or something else altogether, expect to get your asses kicked.  We'll do our best to at least give you a fighting chance, because we don't want to Godmod people anymore than we want you guys to do the same, but don't do anything stupid and you won't get hurt too badly.  :P  Seriously though, NPCs are there more to drive the story forward rather than to be toyed with in a fight, but we will still allow them to fight as the occasion warrants.  If they appear on the battlefield, your best bet at the start of this is to likely go the other way as fast as you can.
SEVENTH!  Posting rate will be, at mininum, a once a week affair.  We will NOT be speeding things along for our faster posters because most of us DO have pretty busy lives to worry about outside of Elliquiy.  If someone tries to accelerate the game, they will be warned not to do so again.  While we're alright with people posting more than this once a week deal, if someone gets left behind for any reason, we won't be so kind.  That said, if you're planning to be delayed or suddenly have some RL situation crop up, so long as you're able to let us know so we can politely set you on the wayside for a bit, we'll keep your character out of harm's way as much as possible until your return.  If you need to leave and don't intend to return, we'll hopefully be able to reach an agreement as to how to let your character either leave, die, or otherwise split off from the rest of the group until and IF someone else comes along to take over.
EIGHTH!  We reserve the right to update these rules as the situation warrants.  Please check these either here or the OOC when we ask you to do so.  Thanks and have a pleasant night.

Name
Gender
Age:  No one should be younger than 18
Canon/OC:  More for our records so there aren't two of the same general character running around if they came out of any of the games or the anime.  We'll try to keep a list of canon choices up to date as much as possible to avoid repeats, so as they're taken, we'll add them to the list.  Having said that, if canon, please include where you're taking the most information from.  Links aren't required, but they're appreciated.  :D
Alignment:  Hero or Villain, there is no middle ground here.  (You can certainly add far more depth as far as your character is concerned, but those are the overall and only sides available to everyone is all.  No third parties here need apply.)
Race:  Vampires, werewolves, half breeds, humans, fae, as long as you're at least humanoid I doubt you'll be rejected on this alone.
Sexual Orientation:  Everyone is equal and accepted here, regardless of their 'side'.
Appearance:  While a picture, especially for canon characters, is preferred, a brief description of general appearance, their dress, facial features, etc, would be appreciated.
Skills/Magic/Abilities:  Six only, but they can be any combination therein, so three magical types of power, and maybe two skills or vice versa or whatever you like.  Abilities would be more enhanced senses and such things of that nature, while skills would be more things you're good at.  NO ONE will be good with or at everything, and heroes and villains both can come from the future as easily as the past, so while computer skills might not be useful back when all this started, they'd still be handy in the present day.  Regardless, please include a short explanation as to why you have these skills and powers and what you're capable of with them.
Flaws:  From general weaknesses to personality related issues, you'll want four here and a short explanation as to why this is a thing.  And no, unless blessed, running water isn't a weakness for vampires, neither is garlic.  True faith however is another matter...
Personality:  I'd prefer at least two well written paragraphs here.  They don't have to be big by any stretch, but NO one liners or a mere list of traits please.
Background Information:  No you may not simply link us a page to a wiki or what have you.  Due to the nature of things, where time and space is being manipulated in such a way for the heroes and villains both to come to a single place like this, you can alter or outright create things to fit what we're trying to do here.  Canon characters should still ACT like their canon in-game or show counterparts, but if a few things are changed along the way, then that's fine.  We simply prefer they somewhat resemble the source material is all.  :D  Original characters are much more free obviously, but if you tie yourself to a well known clan, order, family, or at least a character, do your best to explain how that happened.

Additional Notes:  Theme music, extra pictures, or just little side notes for your guy or gal is fine.

Pictures before I forget should be right aligned at about 300 before anyone asks.  Place them above the Name section please.  For those that would prefer a more real person, you're free to include a face claim instead, just put the name for your claim in the Additional Notes section.  Thanks!

As far as number of characters people can play at a time, we're only going to allow two, and only one of each side of this.  That means only one villain for every hero, but you don't HAVE to play two.  We are hoping for an even number though, but a slight tip in either side is fine.  :D

*stakes flag* Also if you want I might be able to facilitate the transportation of various Canons from the 'Hero' Side, if simply through the means of a character used as a plot device (PM Me because I have an idea on that - xD )

Also I hope you realize Carmilla is a Lesbian right? Just flat out from the way she responded about fucking Godbrand

"Only if all the Vampires Males, half of the females, and some of the animals, were dead." xD

LMAO and yes I am well aware of this fact from the anime side of things, but during her Lord of Shadows appearances, although far more the second than the first one, she was in love if not outright obsessed with Dracula.  Still, I vastly prefer her anime personality and appearance, so her being a lesbian is more than fine for me.  ;D

How Heros or Anti-Dracula/War Council Canons can end up in the Modern Era

It's a well-known fact that vampires require humans to feed and live, but it's also a well-known fact that there are races out there that require humans to survive. In the past, a particular race never cared what Dracula and his council did because of the fact there was families and people capable of handling those uprisings in the Dark forces. A balance of course was of the utmost importance for the world. The species in question that requires humans to thrive is the Fae, for the fae (and the Tuatha'De'Dannan) are powered by the belief of humans and the more they believe the more a Fae can thrive.

When the Catholic Church swept through and started decimating Pagan Power Sources the Fae had to retreat into Underhill, they could survive - in this less powerful time - because there was still believers. Now in the modern Era they have found other ways to be worshipped, building lives among the humans where they appear as celebrities or singers - or people of importance. Never directly getting involved in human politics, but existing enough to survive. But there is a limited bit of belief left, and the fact that some dumbasses just summoned Dracula and his Council - to rebegin the war on humans - has fast reached the ears of the Fae through one of their remaining believer bloodlines.

In the past, this bloodline was used to hunt down Godbrand and his Vikings; which seemed pretty logical - Celtic Family fighting against a Viking Vampire... But that eventually ended as time passed into the halls of man forgetting more and more.

One of those Worshippers is about to have something major taken from her, and in return she uses a forbidden (except in extreme circumstances) family spell to summon help. The Fae in question that answered the call happens to have high enough ties to organize the proposed attack against the Darkness that is coming. Using Underhill, the between spaces where most Fae live, this woman and the Fae she bonded to are going to traverse the halls of time to draw heroes from the past.

So if you want to side with the Heroes, this is your in, OC or Canon - She will bring you to the Modern Era and help you acclimate to prepare in the fight against Dracula and his War Council once more.

Dracula and his new followers, and old, now intend to wipe out humanity - which is a fruitless and idiotic task, which will result in nothing but trouble. Essentially Dracula not only declared war on the humans, but anyone that relies on them to survive.

Name:  Camilla of what was once Old World Styria
Gender:  Female
Age:  583 years old
Canon/OC:  Canon:  Castlevania Season 2 based
Alignment:  Villain
Race:  Elder Vampire
Sexual Orientation:  Lesbian
Appearance:  Blue eyes as frigid as ice in their coloration sits in a moon like pale face that is as beautiful as it is striking in its appearance, framed by long silver locks that only enhances her overall beauty and poise.  For all of her unnatural allure however, it hides nothing of her monstrous nature, if anything, her smooth, pale, soft skin and blood red lips only tends to draw attention to the fangs she has, let alone her slightly bat like pointy ears which tend to poke out from beneath her hair.  Tall at about 6'2'', lithe, and with enough curves to make her enticing to anyone, dead or alive, only hides the fact she's quite exceptionally skilled in combat with agile, dancer like grace and dexterity due to her lean, muscular physique.  The armored pauldron she wears on her right arm, let alone the metallic corset around her upper and lower waist, which strains to keep her breasts contained, certainly gives some warning as to her leanings, as does the long if narrow sword she never goes anywhere without, which is normally attached to her belt on the left side of her narrow waist.
Skills/Magic/Abilities:  Skilled Tactician - While most vampires can claim to be smart and experienced due to their long lives, few are actually learned individuals.  Camilla is one of the few who can claim to have a very sharp mind, and the will to use it as best she can to further her goals, spinning webs of schemes and plots wherever she goes to ensure the survival of her species first, her own personal power a very close second.  (Anime season 2 for reference/inspiration)
Transformation Magic - As long as she knows who she's trying to copy, Camilla has the power to perfectly duplicate any female woman she wishes.  While some of it is merely illusion, masking the monster beneath, the rest is a physical alteration, allowing her to mimic vocal patterns, the scent of another's hair, skin, even fingerprints although she doesn't currently know this.  She uses this power more to trick her opponents into letting their guard down before she slits their throats open, assuming she doesn't find them amusing or strong enough to turn and bend to her will first.  (Lord of Shadows 1 and 2 for reference/inspiration)
Cursed blood - Unlike most vampires, she's enchanted her blood in such a way that those she turns are forever bound to her until their deaths.  Most of the vampires within old Styria were created after Camilla cursed her own blood, ensuring none within her home could ever betray her.  While it takes a great deal of strength from her during the initial transformation and enslavement, once complete, her newest 'childe' are more than willing to die for her while maintaining enough of their autonomy to offer unique insights and perspectives.  Thoughts of disloyalty and the like simply don't exist is all once bound by her blood.  (Lord of Shadows 2 for reference/inspiration)
Lightning Manipulation - From charging metallic substances in such a way to enable her to create a forcefield around herself, to being able to throw bolts of lightning from her fingertips at will, there's little Camilla can't do with such power.  While she prefers to think her way out of problems before they even arise, she is never helpless thanks to her long years of magical study coupled with her more academic achievements.  (Lord of Shadows 1 & 2)
Vampiric Senses/Strength - Like all vampires, she is faster, stronger, and far more resilient thanks to the dark power at her fingertips.  Unlike most, she prefers to use her mind and body to avoid conflict where she can, but she's more than capable to fight up close when she tires of 'playing nice'.  Also like most vampires, her senses are far superior to a mere human's, making such activities as tracking prey a minor inconvenience.
Skilled Swordswoman - While she wouldn't dare cross blades with a Belmont, or Dracula or even Alucard unless she had no other choice, anyone else is more than fair game.  The long if narrow blade at her side is stout enough to shred full plate armor, while skinny enough to slip between a person's ribs.  Couple that with her unnatural speed and grace, and she is a very dangerous opponent at any range.
Flaws:  "What the fuck just happened?!" - Surprises unnerve Camilla considerably, but while she can adapt fairly quickly, those few moments as she struggles to comprehend such a swift turn can make all the difference against her.
Survival overrides sense - In most cases, she's able to fall in line, so long as her and Dracula's interests align, but the moment she suspects the path forward will end in disaster, she'll start spinning her plots to try and ensure a much more favorable outcome for herself and her few close allies and perhaps even friends that she allows herself.
Manipulative - While there are those that know her, truly know her, Camilla looks after Camilla first and foremost, so she's gotten used to playing the seducer wherever she goes.  She can be a friend, perhaps a confidant, if not even a lover for a time, but many have been burned by her.  Those few she's let live, assuming they have any other choice besides serving her, remember her betrayals, and know far better than to trust her again...
Holy weapons/water - Like all vampires, blessed magics, weapons with the touch of the divine, and water that's been blessed by an ordained priest of the Church can burn if not outright destroy her with very little effort.  The Morningstar Whip, the various Vampire Killers employed by the Belmont clan, and divine magic or holy water or oil are especially effective against most vampires, her more so due to her uniquely cursed blood.
Personality:  While most days she's content to rule her small kingdom of Styria without engaging in the typical power and political games that make eternity interesting for other vampires, doesn't mean she won't if there's a genuine chance for her to gain more power and favor.  While she can be cold and cruel like anyone in Dracula's court, she only does so when it serves a purpose, preferring to present a friendly face to her equals at least in nature if not in fact, although since almost every other vampire is a cruel old man or a petulant child trapped in a grown up body as far as her opinion's concerned, means there aren't many she'd consider her equal.  Her blood, despite being just as cold as anyone's, tends to run hotter than most, allowing for passionate outbursts and far more intimate leanings with the fairer sex which she vastly prefers to most of the men she's typically forced to deal with, with VERY few exceptions.  Dracula is the perfect example of such an exception, but between having been unwilling to break his vows to his pet breeder, followed by his desire to see humanity either dead or heavily culled after Lisa's death, Camilla isn't about to tempt fate by trying to seduce him anytime soon.  Anyone else is fair game though...

Whatever the case, Camilla prefers to use her mind over brute force to solve problems, and she's not against encouraging those around her to do the same.  As such, people like the brutish Godbrand disgusts her since he'd rather kill, fuck, or make a boat out of anyone he sets his eyes on, whereas she would use those that are otherwise beneath her in such a way that they don't even realize they're being manipulated.  Whether that's other vampires or lowly humans with some measure of power is of no difference to her, but on occasion, Camilla does find herself missing her old life before she became a vampire.  Because like many before her, she herself was seduced by promises made by a now very dead vampire.  After she killed him, Camilla made a promise to herself to never be powerless like that again, her sire having become a cruel old man, maddened by age and needless cruelty towards everyone around him.  His abuses and broken promises forged her into the cold manipulator she is now though, so it wasn't all bad she'd suppose if anyone was brave enough to tempt a bout of sadistic abuse by her own hands.
Background Information:  Centuries ago, a former Austrian noblewoman met a vampire who promised her the world.  When he became mad from his age and took his cruelty out on her, Camilla decided she had had enough one cold, wintry evening, and hung her sire out of his own castle's topmost tower with a noose covered in sharp spikes wrapped around his neck which quickly gave out on him.  Needless to say, she didn't agree with his twisted idea of hospitality, and has since turned her former master's country into her own.  Now, centuries later, after having beaten, manipulated, or killed any and all opposition within her domain, Camilla rules a far more 'fair' Styria, with her as the only sovereign, who is subservient only to Dracula himself.  It's an arrangement she'd be content to let be, until such a time the Lord of Darkness becomes yet another cruel mad old man just like her sire had so long ago.  At least, that's how she'd normally proceed, until she received a pair of unusual visitors in the form of two humans, twins, a young man and woman barely into their twenties with immense power, and of far more interest and alarm to her, knowledge of everything she had ever done.

It didn't take much of being shown how an uninterrupted future would play out for her to convince Camilla to follow this new Lord Dracula, a far more vibrant and 'alive' Dracula.  Gone was the tired old man of her world's time, this Prince of Darkness had fully embraced his better qualities, at least in her mind, and had made it clear he was not to be trifled with.  Still, Camilla couldn't help but wonder how this world's Camilla could let herself be so easily defeated time after time after time, and sought answers where she could find them.  She soon realized her former self in this particular Dracula's time had been far too dependant upon the Prince of Darkness and quite mad in her own right, confusing her loyalty and dedication to the cause for mindless devotion and 'love'.  While she certainly agreed that he was exceptional, to the point she was sorely tempted to sleep with this particular Dracula, Camilla would never love the man, and why should she?  She'd already beaten her old master in his own home, and outside of maintaining the human livestock's numbers, she had no real interest in men rutting with whatever women would have them.  She vastly preferred her own sex to having another man holding power over her ever again, but for now she's content to play along with this particular War Council, spearheaded by a far more superior Dracula.  If the time comes however she needs to make a hasty exit, she'll take everything she can on her way out, the female twin included...

Additional Notes:  Unlike most vampires, Camilla has allowed many women to join her armies, and in her mind and in most cases actual fact, they've proven far superior to their male counterparts time and time again.  Between harnessing their rage against a world that sees them as subservient to men, and their willingness to actually think for themselves, her soldiers and generals are a step above most as a result.  Her country might be small, but she and her people make the most of everything they can.

As for her thoughts on the modern age she now finds herself a part of, Camilla has found she's rather fond of this new age of technological advancement and debauchery.  There's so many more opportunities in this world than she would've imagined, so much to learn, to discover!  The intellectual part of her is beyond overjoyed to get a chance to explore everything it can in the centuries to come once most of humanity is gone, but for the immediate future and for the sake of her plans, her focus is more bent towards the weapons and advancements they've achieved in destroying each other, let alone the creatures of the night for those that yet remember they existed in the first place.  As for the vampires who are already present, most of these shallow blooded weaklings she'd rather see dead at her feet for having lost so much of themselves.

She kept the former Camilla's giant stone mask though, after taking it apart to understand how it was created in the first place before infusing it with her unique blood.  Now, Vampira's bloody tears, still quite acidic in nature, holds the same curse her own blood does.  Monsters, humans, it matters not, because all will fall to her thrall if she has her way.

IMPORTANT UPDATE as of October 6th 2016 in A/A page

SweetSerenade

Name:  Amaranth Baine
Gender:  Female
Age: 24
Canon/OC:  OC
Alignment:  Hero
Race:  Human
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Appearance
A young woman where appearances can be deceiving, she appears to be in her mid-twenties, but maintains most of the activity and resilience of her teen years. She is not tall, no instead she's on the smaller side of things, but her body is built in a way that it confuses the mind. Long and light her lines are, even if she stands at only 5'3''. Amaranth is a woman possessing a dancer's build and the height that is often desired in those in professional Ballerinas. She is a woman who makes a larger presence than her physical form would often dictate. That lean frame is composed of a muscle composition that is obviously built from a lifetime of training in combat and weaponry. She is no pushover, and is probably one of the few modern people with the disposition and drive to handle the dark scourge that is rising.

Upon her back between her shoulder blades, a raven tattoo can be seen. This marks her as a 'warrior' class in her clan, but this is only one of several markings she carries for her 'status' in her clan. Upon the flesh just below her collarbone, you will find a tree of life and crescent moons tattooed, this being the marking of the magical aspect of the work she does for her family. The last marking is the one that shows which part of the family bloodlines she comes from, originally there were three Baine lines - the two branches and the main. The two branches had the marking of Wolf and Stag, and the Main family had the marking of Dragon. Amaranth's Dragon is on her lower back.
Skills/Magic/Abilities
Combat Prowess - A human woman trained in several forms of hand to hand combat, as well as various forms of weaponry. Her family was originally a clan that would go toe to toe - over the ages - with Godbrand and his ilk. They resorted to hunting creatures of the night that got out of hand, when Godbrand had vanished, resulting in them becoming something of traveling mercenaries for the Undead. This includes mounted combat capabilities, as she was trained to be a good Horsewoman.

Weapon Training - She was trained, since she was a child that could barely walk, in a variety of weapons. She can wield varying lengths of blade, has shown prowess with a bow, and can even handle a spear or whip if she absolutely must.

Magical Capabilities - Amaranth is the one who summoned Puck, who will in turn aid her in finding the Heros capable of fighting what is beginning to happen. Her magic is at a high level especially for someone from the modern era, but she has refined and built it up even higher by remaining a Maiden to strengthen the purity of her magic. A lot of her magic is based on incantations, though some are extremely ritual based. All of it is tied to the Celtic Gods and the Fae.

Enhanced Physical capabilities - A family crafted and hones to hunt supernatural creatures, to guide the balance of the world, to hide within the shadows themselves, this was what the Bane families became. Guided by the Fae, helping keep a balance and helping keep the power base of the Fae alive in the world, they were gifted (as long as the bloodline shall last) with enhanced physical capabilities. Durability, Speed, Stamina, they were made to hunt - and hunt they did indeed.

High Intellect - Given the time period she comes from Amaranth's intellect is only aided by the science around her. A woman of 24 she has not only magical schooling beneath her belt but she is working on becoming a literal Scholar within her world. Despite the fact that her family has not been in the Scotland or Ireland region in generations, she takes her Celtic Druid roots seriously and has taken a liking to gather as much information as she could. Even though she believes in magic, she believes it is just something that has not yet been properly explained. This high intellect, and absorption of knowledge, is what has given Amaranth the ability to learn as many languages as she has. Since she was young she has prepared as every member of her family has.

Musical Inclinations - If it involves music you can bet she has learned about it in some regard, at least what is available in the Modern Era - and some of more ancient times. Her ancestors were known for their drinking and dancing frivolity, but their magic users were also known for their music. Music is simply the fastest way to manipulate the magic of the world, though it is the most dangerous. Music is used for great rituals, for powerful spells, if Amaranth is singing - and it isn't for fun - you can be assured something big will be happening.

Flaws
Violent reactions to anyone claiming loyalty to the Roman Catholic Church - that is definitely a major flaw for her. She will vehemently and quite violently speak out against the Roman Catholic church, as would anyone in her family. They will never, and have never, allied themselves with the Roman Catholic Church. While they might sometimes have to work with people who work FOR the Church, they only did so at the behest of the Fae to maintain a balance in the world. A Baine will never bind themselves to the RCC and will always speak of its atrocities before it's niceties.

High Metabolism - Her magical capabilities are direclty proportionate to the food she has consumed. The more powerful the magic, the larger the meal. She usually walks around with MREs (Meals Ready to Eat) as they are super high in their caloric content. She also has to consume vast quantities of calories whenever she uses her physical attributes too much as well. This is a flaw because if you have a high metabolic rate some poisons are easy to process, and some are very much not.

Competitive - Growing up around as many brothers as she has, you naturally become competitive. She had to be better than them at everything, was at least how she saw it. This can be used against her as she is a woman that doesn't know when to quit, and can be dragged into competitions she may not have a way to beat.

Stubborn - Giving up is literally not in her vocabulary, 'strategic retreat' is in her vocabulary, Amaranth is a woman who will not give up unless she absolutely has to. She refuses to allow herself to quit, and this can lead to her being incapacitated through combat means.

Innocent - Innocence is a curse and a blessing, while it gives her a higher chance at the power it also comes with the curse of attracting unwanted attention from supernatural creatures. Vampires especially find something alluring about her, and while she has only faced vampires a handful of times in her life, those handful of times were enough. Before the recent incident, she had only seen a vampire thrice in her lifespan, and those three times were close together. Vampires in the Modern age were just not that common, so they were either very powerful - or very weak.

Personality:
Amaranth is first and foremost a driven young woman who knows her duties and follows them. She was raised, from a young age, understanding the power she had that was so rare in the world. Her family had once been the scourge against the likes of Godbrand, and nowadays they handle the random popups as few as they are. They are one of the few remaining bloodlines, and she is proud of her heritage. She is proud to be one of the remaining few bloodlines in the world that know what is going on. This pride spreads to all the work that she does, and all that she learns. Everything is not just to make her ancestors proud, but to provide for the future of her descendants. She knows her duties, she knows her vows, and she is quite driven by them.

She enjoys her games and riddles, and enjoys playing games. She uses puzzle games as a means to keep her mind sharp and absorbs the knowledge that comes to her. She enjoys languages and the riddles they play, even traveling at times to find people who can teach her languages long gone. Through a lot of studies, she has started to unweave a lot of the languages that the Belnade witches were once renowned for knowing, but it's paltry in comparison to finding a real Belnades. Almost all of her magic is tied to the Celtic, the stuff she's really good at, so she strives to learn more about every available type she can find. A voracious learner with a love for life, she is a woman of both science and magic, for she knows one cannot exist without the other.

Her dedication to her cause is the first and foremost thing that people discover, but being around her reminds one of a deep sorrow that cannot be avenged. The events that occurred in her timeline, with her family, are what is driving her to gather the Heroes to help her against this new darkness. The young woman while she smiles frequently has a sadness in her eyes for her age. She has known no true love her own, nor has she been allowed pleasures of the flesh (by her own decision). She has a quest of her own now, a need to drive the darkness back or at least temper it. For true destruction is the path of death for all, and she might be depressed but she's not suicidal. She wants the world to survive, and thus herself so that she can forge a future for her bloodline.

Sass is her common go to in her speech, she is a strong independant woman - but she understands that sometimes you need help. Which is exactly why she is doing what she is doing. She nurtures and guides, and offers advice when she can, but sometimes that advice gets pretty sassy. It's probably not a good idea to let her get around, for any length of time, people like Dracula - or the others who side with him. Humans are not Cattle, nor are they all to be destroyed. She wishes that Dracula would not hate an entire species simply for what one fucked up Church did. The Roman Catholic Church does not make up the bulk of humanity, and nor does it represent the common thoughts of the species.

Background Information
Being raised a hunter of darkness, in the modern era, is not an easy life. One might say it's even harder since you have to work even harder to erase the traces of what you have done when you kill a vampire or a creature that's gone too far. That's not to say her family kills every creature they come across, they only hunt those that start treating human as Cattle, or become a real threat to humans. Hell, they have even dealt with a few Satanic cults in their time, so there is that to be considered. Amaranth is the youngest daughter in a family of six older brothers - her loving parents - and a plethora of extended family. She was raised in this, brought back and forth between the States and Ireland. Her family would also travel to Scotland on occasion to visit some of the extended family.

She was raised with combat and training in a variety of weapons and magic, and she was raised with the knowledge that someday she might also fight the darkness. Her childhood was normal and happy, despite this, her friends at school just thought she had really strange parents who were just forcing her to learn a bunch of things to be 'well rounded'. She was learning multiple languages when she was in elementary school, and by the time she entered middle school she knew at least six, of which she sometimes mixes up and mutters words in other languages while she's frustrated.

She had a rather easy going childhood despite this, happy and surrounded by love, fighting against the darkness. It was perfect, it was amazing, and she loved her life. At the age of 16 she was set up to handle her first 'hunt' - which was a newly turned vampire that had been feasting on children. This task also came at the same point that her adulthood rights had been passed. She attained not just her clan marking, but her marking as a Warrior - and her Marking as a magician. In her family to contain all three of the most powerful markings, being Mainline - Warrior and Magician - was seen as a sign of being a potential 'Hero' of legends. She was guided through her first hunt because of this, by a very cranky Raven who had been sent by a very doting ancestor.

Her family believes that they are matrilineally descended from Morrigan, but they have no proof of this descent. Instead, they just go about their lives and continue onwards. The only other times Amarnath dealt with vampires was at the age of 18, and 20. They were not too difficult and were when she was traveling in Europe with her study abroad programs during her University study years. She actually has several degrees, all earned in concordance with each other, focusing on linguistics and ancient history more than anything.

Her life was amazing, that is until the night that it all changed. Her family had finally gathered - every member - every man, woman, child, and elder. They had all gathered at the Ancestral home not far from an Ancient Tor. The family was celebrating, for Amaranth had attained the age of 24, and so had several others in the clan. That night, that night was a slaughter, a time displaced Godbrand and his Vampire vikings descended upon the gathering and created a slaughter of the likes that had not been seen in ages. From the depths of her soul a true darkness ripped itself free, and Amaranth did something she had been forbidden for ages by her clan.

There in their Ancestral place of power she unleashed the gift of a death song completely combined with her magic - and awakened creatures of death from the darkness of the standing stones around her - great Raven monstrosities that came to the womans bidding (and have never come again), a feat that was quite shocking given her age. She pushed back that terrible creature and his men, her own innocent blood the fuel for the spell, and found herself awakening beneath the moonlight - alone and surrounded by slaughter. A ring of figures around her, and a rather strange silver-haired man floating above her head. "You have called and we have come, Child of the Blood of Old. What do you request."

"The end to the darkness, a return to the balance..." She spoke her words, and the figures agreed.

"Than you shall be our Blade of the Old Blood, you will be our Maiden." Came a female voice.

Which leads her to her path now.

Additional Notes:
-True Believer of the Celtic Gods
-Seeks Balance in all things
-Owns Shards of a Carpathian Mirror of which she is slowly working on how to activate for magical means
-Usually keeps a belt of pouches on her that contains various items and crystals to be used in magic. Quick casting using these uses less energy than casting using incantation alone.
-Always has a blade of some sort on her.
-Whispered rumors of a Forgemaster very far back in her family, unconfirmed - Fae prove useless in gaining the information.
- Themes - Morrigan - Battle, Willow Maid - Advice (Just because you can doesn't mean you should), Cheshire Kitten - General disposition

Name:  Puck, Robin Goodfellow, Hey you Bastard that's my daughter
Gender:  Male
Age: Fuck if I know! Don't ask.
Canon/OC:  OC
AlignmentNoneSelf-preservations Hero
Race:  Fae - Wild Courts, Bound to Royals
Sexual Orientation:  Heterosexual
Appearance
Tall and leans, Puck may be, but he is definitely no push over. Every bit of that leanness of his frame is the utmost peak physicality for a Fae. Considering his age, which he'll change the answer to every time he's asked, he's in remarkable shape. Most human literature has reference to him in one form or another, in somer regard or shape or form, but that's probably because he had a lot of sons who liked to cause a lot of trouble - and use his name while doing it. Puck is lean and tall, even among humans when he isn't glamoured to look smaller. Usually he's roughly between six and a half feet tall to seven feet, but nothing less than five foot ten inches, when it comes to his height range. He tends to like to adjust and mold it based on his moods.

He will always be found wearing a variety of clothing, but his current garment (seen in picture) is an old favorite. He rather likes it, even if it reminds him of worse off times, he's still pretty happy about the way his life became in the modern era. He just vanishes for a few decades, comes back and restarts his life... And just lives happily, he's pretty good at it too. Since he can hide so easily using glarmour. Nowadays you can even get away with walking around in public with pointy ears!
Skills/Magic/Abilities
Shapeshifting - He's a Fae that was rumored to take many forms, and many guises, whether as Puck or Robin, he was both and many. He is rumored (and confirms sometimes) to be the father of the Fae race known as 'pooka' which means that the chances are he not only has humanoid shapes he can change into but animal ones as well. Not that he'll go telling you, that would ruin his fun. spoilers are fun, anyway, my dear reader, if you want true fun from Puck pay attention to what the writer keeps trying to hide.

Magic - in it's many and varied forms, as a Fae he is capable of many things and this includes true magic. Fae are made from magic and it's belief, and they also can create magic as well. This can spread across some pretty ancient fae magic, all the way to more 'modern' (think more like pre-RCC Takeover) forms of magic. Which can include ritualistic, component-based, and incantation based. He prefers just the good ol' snap of the fingers. Damn right I do woman, stop dragging this on it's annoying!

Nearly Immortal - Like most Fae of his age Puck is nearly immortal, his years of dealing with humans have led him to have quite the skillset you could imagine. He can be killed with the right tools, but he primarily tries to teleport out of any situation that could end with his death. He's very good at escaping, that much is for certain. Considering how long he's lived for. Hey fuck you, of course, I want to escape alive, stop giving them the impression of cowardice it's called 'strategic retreat'.

Trickster and Tactition - for Puck these two go hand in hand, and he often wiles and guides in ways that would lead to his personal favor. Preferably if gets him a treat he's looking for, or something he needs. He is after all Fae, so most of what he does is personal interest aligned. Mind you, I said most - not all, so there is that addendum there. Just be careful of his wording, and never make deals with him unless you're willing to hammer out every single little detail. Oh do make deals, and get caught up in something fun. I'm not intentionally cruel, I have my ways and wiles.

Lots of Knowledge - Puck is Puck, and he has been around for a long time. He has capabilities that exceed most typical Fae and he could technically be a 'King' in his own right, at least among the Wild Courts. But Puck is a creature of knowledge and fancy, and he likes flittering around the ages to gather that information. Though he seems like a Pranksters and a Trickster, he has much deeper intellectual roots that someone can get access to. He quite definitely is well traveled and may have seen several 'events' first hand though at a distance.

Deal Making - Puck is first and foremost Fae, and what are Fae good at? Making Deals? Their ability to manipulate and wile is renowned even among other species. There is a saying in the Supernatural community - "I'd rather broker a deal with a demon than gain a favor from a Fae." - This is because most Demon contracts are very easily pieced apart. In fact, it seems that Puck is very good at this, having made deals with a variety of individuals throughout time.

Flaws
Are you insane I don't have any flaws! How can you even - fine...
Inability to Lie - as a member of the Fae he cannot directly lie, he has a complete inability to lie if asked a direct question. This means he will redirect, tell half-truths, and flat out leave out information that isn't asked for, all because people should make their own conclusions. Mostly because he likes playing tricks, so sometimes he'll follow the literal translation of the word - not the figurative someone intended... or vice versa to be honest.

Iron Intolerance - Where as Iron would probably freak out younger Fae, Puck is old enough it's just an annoyance now. He's pretty good at dealing with it passively around him, now actively touching him is another matter. With enough time it will start to burn his flesh, and he will need to get away from it. If he is directly punctured with Iron he runs the risk of catching an allergic reaction that is highly dangerous for the Fae (Iron Rot Poisoning, basically), younger fae would be much more impacted than he is. Puck can directly touch high concentrations of Iron metal - for at least a few minutes - before he starts burning from it. It's still a good deterrent to add an iron horseshoe near your door, to keep him away. Hey! Don't tell them that, where is the fun in that?!?

Racial 'Honor' Flaws - All Fae bound to the courts follow laws, the most major of those laws is not to knowingly harm the innocent. Harm of an Innocent warrants breaking of other fae rules to try to rebalance such an action. To the Fae and Innocent is more than just the body, but the mind and heart and soul. If someone is pure in these things, they cannot be harmed by a member of the Fae. Even the 'Dark Throng' will turn upon their own - at least now with their current Leaderships - for harming an innocent. Children are never to be harmed, those of innocent minds but adult bodies are kept in this. Those not understanding of the world are to be protected, because it is often innocence that believes in the Fae most strongly.

This Racial trait also includes aspects like being Duty and Honor bound to follow their words and to do what they can to make sure that things follow the discourse passed down from the Tuatha'De'Dannan. Belief is powerful, and the more belief - the more Power a Fae can have. Are you fucking kidding me woman? You really had to give them all those answers? Really - I'm starting to hate you more and more... What's that you say - wait hang on, no how about we not delete all the work.

Bound In gold - See those golden bands around his wrists? They bind him and his magic. He could be so much more, so much more powerful, but he messed up. He did something he wasn't supposed to - and now he's paying the price for it. It restricts his magics down from the things they could be, no longer can he easily travel from mirror to mirror, he is bound to follow the orders of the Royals of the Courts of the Fae, he is bound to follow other's commands, and thus he is more than likely prevelant to be sarcastic and bitter. Though still quite fun loving, he is dampened by the powers he has lost - and his shackles can only be broken when this new threat has been handled.

Personality:
Loves his Fun - Puck chases fun, though in all seriousness he is capable of quite serious methods of discourse. For Puck nothing is more important than his fun. Which means he is very self-serving and will generally think for himself first and foremost - which at this moment happens to align well with what is going on. But Puck Loves fun, and will always propose the most entertaining route of discourse and combat. He's well known to randomly pull out odd items in combat - summon a rubber chicken to bitch slap the Forgemaster? You bet! Oh, look a braided beautiful necklace of stink blossoms to override the vampires senses? Yep, that's Puck! The downside is, he loves his fun more than he loves most things in life, so he'll chase his fun - even at some of the expense of others.

Puck is a trickster through and through, and a devious manipulator of the likes which most Fae have not been in many ages. He is an oldschool believer that sometimes a little fun is all someone needs to perk up. Beneath all that thought Puck is a guiding force, a powerful magical creature that seeks to guide humanity back to the path of right - while also maintaining their ability to be self-sufficient. He believes in guidance and lessons, not in mass control or slaughter. The future that Dracula and the current situation desires is not something Puck Desires - as it would cut down severely on the power base that is just starting to regrow.

In all seriousness Puck can be quite straightforward but I tell you that you don't want that; in fact you want him to be playful and jovial, because his seriousness can be borderline Sociopathic - then again he's not human, so judging his mind on the strictures of humanity is probably best to be avoided. He is known for saying weird things, or looking into the distance and speaking to people who may not be completely there.  He has a sort of air to him that makes it clear that he does not feel he is in the same realm as humans, but he understands their importance and has had many human lovers.

Speaking of lovers, Puck loves humans, and he loves human women. There is probably many an Irish Lad or Lass that has a drop of Puck in them from some frivolities in the far past. He tends to gear towards more mature females, usually with a strong disposition. He prefers them passed their younger years, and closer to their 'mothering' years. So early to mid twenties is usually Puck's 'youngest' range for lovers.

Background Information
It would literally take forever to explain Puck’s entire history. To put it simply he is in service to the Royals of the Fae, but most so the Tuatha’De’Dannan. When the balance is to be kept, sometimes it’s a trickster that is needed to keep it. He was placed on the ‘hero’ side for this ‘game’ – in an attempt to cause growth and development within the Heroes. He’s not even really a villain, but he isn’t against playing the part.

Humans are just so fun to fuck with. Literally, and figuratively. Puck absolutely loves playing his pranks, if history has shown anything about his nature. He has hundreds, probably thousands, of children among the fae – and so many bloodlines that have started because of him. Some of his favorites are the tricksters known as Púca. He absolutely loves these wonderful creatures, and sometimes they will visit him.

Then again things with the Fae have suddenly taken a rather hard turn, ever self-serving in their interests they have decided to open old magic that require a lot of power. What they are doing will have a high cost to them, but they hope that the resulting growth in belief would make it easier for them to recuperate. Besides, having a human representative again is giving all of them a larger power boost, even if they just had a dive because of the slaughter of almost an entire clan. Dracula has declared War on the Fae by trying to slaughter all of Humanity - their first target is Godbrand, but after that they will assist in getting the darkness rebalanced to where it belongs.

Balance is essential for all species to survive, and now the Fae are in a race against time to prevent the future that the Morrigan has seen as a possible battle - for she sees with another sight, and saw dark dreams of death and blood as a possibility. Puck was chosen due to the fact that more humans believing in him - in one form or another - than any other fae, thus meaning he has more power.

Though Puck himself is currently in 'punishment' for something that happened, he is still one of the more powerful of the Fae and was charged with helping Amaranth traverse the Underhill corridors of time and space to select the Heros that will help with this plight.

Additional Notes:
Fourth Wall Breaking - Puck is a character capable of perceiving a lot of things, he'll likely confused and confound the other characters in the story with the things he does. As he has throughout the course of this profile. As a note Puck mostly uses this for reading profiles to get the information he needs to draw the characters in. He won't use it for things like combat and the like unless it's for comedic effect. Liken him to the ilks of Deadpool, of which he would quite easily get along with. Oh Bullocks I'd get along with him, are you daft woman? He's Suicidal! - If anything he'd get along with the fang bangers. Wait maybe not, death to humanity sucks.
- Puck is never without a joke or two, and probably a rubber chicken to slap someone with. Maybe a pie, he likes a variety of comedy gags.
- Puck has adapted quite nicely to the modern era, and was quite surprised that someone even still knew the spell that Amaranth used.
- Puck enjoys his sweets, if you piss him off the easiest way to sway him away from anger is to offer him something delicious.
- American Beer sucks, so does german, beer in general sucks, it is mead or whiskey for this Fae. If you give him beer he's likely to make barley grow from your nose.
- Do not ever, even jokingly, threaten him with iron, he will react violently and he will make it clear to you that he does not consider it a joke.
- Puck's themes will come eventually xD

I'm interested! Funny enough I decided to check back in on this site (after something of a mini-hiatus) specifically because I've been aching for a Castlevania roleplay. Playing Rondo of Blood has only made me want to rp it more, lol.

I actually kind of had an interesting idea hit me. An OC Belmont from an alternate timeline based on a game that has since been removed from canon.

Specifically, I'm referring to Castlevania Legends. At the time, billed as being the story of the first Belmont to face Dracula, it has since been declared non-canon. The game featured possibly the only playable female Belmont as it's main protagonist, Sonia Belmont (and come to think of it like, the only female main protagonist period, besides Shanoa...). Sonia then went on to give birth to Trevor. In a twist from what we're used to, however, the father was Alucard.

So my idea for a character is basically, further down that family line. A Belmont descended from partially from Dracula. I'm not sure if that would qualify them as anything other than a human (since we're probably talking like 1/16th vampire or something) in regards to actual race.

I'm thinking "Victoria Belmont" as the character's name, perhaps.

Would multiple characters be allowed? Because I could also make up a villain character. In fact, if Carmilla is going to be in this, I could always make Laura! http://castlevania.wikia.com/wiki/Laura

Of course, Laura's relationship to Carmilla would be something to work out (in the original novella, Carmilla, the whole plot is basically about Carmilla trying to seduce Laura, while the games have pretty much lacked any such references to my knowledge.)
O/O: I was going to make a barebones F-list as a rough summary, but then it logged me out and I lost my progress, so I made a VERY barebones F-list instead: Here.

Any and all Belmonts are something that would need to be brought in by the current 'Good Leading' Duo, so she'd need to be of a timeline that was far enough in the past that Belmonts still existed with any knowledge of vampire hunting, as Vergil is running this 'modern' world without Belmonts or Belnades - except in the past.

Hello! I wanted to say I'm interested in this concept and group.

I know little of the Castlevania lore beyond the anime, unfortunately, but I intend to learn from the wiki if I need to know more. Also, just to clarify: this story is taking place in the modern age (as in 21st century)?

I'm excited to start brainstorming for the RP! Love that someone decided to start a castlevania themed one.

XD Very Chauvinist whip, but then again it was literally made through the sacrifice of Leon Belmont's love turned vampire.

Yep, the 21st century is where its at.  :D

And as we've said before, you don't need to know canon much at all.  We're simply borrowing the bits we prefer and kinda throwing the rest into a giant soup bowl and seeing what comes out of it.  ;D  Still, SOME knowledge always helps of course, but again it's not necessary outright either, so do the best you can and you'll be fine.  :D

Now that part I vaguely remember, having watched most of Leon's particular game on YouTube a while back.  Still, yeesh.

Vampire Killer was originally the Whip of Alchemy and was completed when a sacrifice of a Vampire (Leon's turned lover) was made to it (self-sacrifice) - thus making it the Vampire Killer. I can understand why a whip created via a female sacrifice, and proven part sentient, would have difficulty bonding with females. xD

I do have a question regarding the Fae: do they draw power from human faith/belief in general or is it specifically from Human belief of the Fae (or Paganism?)?

They draw on the belief of humans in general, which is why they are stronger around true believers and those that are innocent of mind and the world. This is how I run the fae, if you want to do anything with them I'd be your primary source for that since I'm sort of handling that aspect of things. Was there something you were interested in?

Also, are there any modern era magicians or do those sorts of people not exist anymore in this setting?

But there is a limited bit of belief left, and the fact that some dumbassed just summoned Dracul and his Council - to rebegin the war on humans - has fast reached the ears of the Fae through one of their remaining believer bloodlines.

In the past, this bloodline was used to hunt down Godbrand and his Vikings seemed pretty logical - Celtic Family fighting against a Viking Vampire...

This Spoiler should give you a decent chunk of answers, and I am putting that there is some magic still but it's extremely limited unless it's through specific channels and bloodlines. You can never completely wipe out magic, but the knowledge of it has to be properly passed down, or it doesn't propagate properly.

The Roman Catholic Church is more of an Enemy to most of the cast in the story - than any other entity in the series, their systematic destruction of entire cultures has lead to a debasing of magical power and putting it squarely in unknown territories. Most magical bloodlines were either absorbed by the church, or completely wiped out, at one point or another, but the chances are there are still some - depending on what you are looking for.

Puck, the Storyline NPC is a good example of a Fae (when I finish him, which will likely be sometime before i go to bed, or in the morning after I wake up) - but any PC Fae will have to be severely powered down to not as high levels. The Storyline NPC is not participating in combat at all, but is instead helping facilitate the rise of humans against the vampires that seek to destroy then. This was done because of Amaranth and what she experienced before summoning one of the Fae.

So I have this desire to create a magician or fae. If I created a magician I'd go with pulling ideas for a a character coming from an earlier time period rather than modern era, based on the interpretation you gave.

What sorts of things can Fae do in terms of innate magical or supernatural abilities?

I would note that while she could quite definitely be a Belmont, she can never use the Morningstar to the fullest capabilities of it. As Females have proven incompatible with it in its entirety. She'd probably have to primarily use magic as her components in combat.

As to the first point, my intention was just that, to have her be a few generations removed from Sonia/Alucard, but still fairly early in the timeline.

As for the second point, I've never encountered that in the lore. Simply that the Vampire Killer is passed down to male descendents. Regardless, I'm not sure that would apply to her timeline, considering Sonia herself wielded the Vampire Killer in Legends, and was able to defeat Dracula with it. I mean, using the lore of the main timeline, even Sonia's male descendents probably wouldn't be able to use it, as they'd be 'tainted' with Alucard's vampire blood. So I think it's safe to say that the whip has different rules in her timeline.

Plus, it's established in lore that even non-Belmonts can use the Vampire Killer through special rituals (though over-using it can cost them dearly). Of course, if it works better for everyone, I can give her a different weapon. I could come up with a completely original weapon for her, perhaps.

In fact, it could be in an interesting twist if, in this timeline, exactly what I said happens, and Alucard's vampire blood means that the Belmonts are no longer able to use the Vampire Killer, and must seek out or create alternative weapons to face the undead. Of course, maybe that vampire blood does prove to have some advantages as well. Perhaps her alternative to the Vampire Killer is something that takes advantage of that.

On a side note: I always personally disliked the Lament of Innocence lore, tbh. Purely personal preference, but I felt like it cheapened Lisa's role in the story (and directly contradicted Symphony of the Night referring to her as Dracula's only love), by revealing that the whole reason he became Dracula in the first place was because of a previous love, especially since most attempts at reconciling the two games involve suggesting that the whole reason Dracula loved Lisa was because she reminded him of his first love and/or was possibly her reincarnation. I always preferred the image of Dracula as someone who had never really known love until he met Lisa, and that he loved her because of who SHE was, not because of some past life or w/e.

Well, they would be an alternate timeline so that would be acceptable in some regards, but then the Vampire Killer from that series wouldn't have been created by Sara's sacrifice. The Vampire killer in that particular universe originated as Sonia's Grandfather's weapon - of which she adopted as soon as he was killed by Night Creatures.

Its quite possible Victoria is an 'accidental' pick up - and was never intended to be snagged by Amaranth and Puck, since Amaranth and Puck are the ones that are going to be dragging people to the future to help fight.

A lot of our basis is coming off of the Animated series with a combination of things from the various game franchises. Lisa in the Animated Series is Lisa, Dracula's first love and the mother of Alucard. A human woman of high intellect who was fascinated with medicine.

If you mean in reference for the Vampire Killer, that was created by Sara's sacrifice - that's kind of the preferred history for that item, at least in my book. Personally, I like that female Belmont's would have to be more ingenious than their male counterparts and learn other ways. It is what can set them apart from the males. Yes, I am aware that the cost of using it for a Morris is high, which is why it's generally believed the Vampire Killer works best in the hands of a male Belmont. Besides, I imagine having too many iterations of the Vampire Killer in one place could cause some magical fuckery that we probably don't want. xD

I'm going to be working on the Fae to some extent, it's more of a 'ask' and you'll get an answer for that one. I usually divide things up based on court, seasonal alignment (If they are seasonal) or even fae 'type'. So depends on the kind of Fae you wanna play.

As for the mage, that'd have to be someone from an earlier time period, as you mentioned, so they'd have to get picked up by Amaranth and Puck eventually.

As for my own stuff about the Roman Catholic Church as far as the anime at least is concerned, let me say this as plainly as I can.  In the VERY first episode, Lisa is burned at the stake for 'practicing witchcraft', although the bishop in charge of the affair says to the mayor that the Church wanted the people of Wallachia to remain simple and more or less dependant upon them for everything.  Lisa, who had learned actual science from the MASSIVE collection of knowledge within Castlevania and from her future husband, was a threat to the Church, thus she was labeled a witch and killed, which brought about Dracula's wrath upon the world.  So no, any ties to the Church isn't a good idea since either you were a part of the problem, or any magic and the like in your family was heavily edited and censored to the point it's practically useless anyway.  Anything less than your total obedience wasn't and wouldn't be tolerated, thus earning you a public death from a crowd either too scared to stop the Church or they ignorantly cheer your execution on, never questioning that the Church might be killing an innocent person just to keep themselves powerful.

That's fair.

Okay, so now I will begin to work on the character sheet. I'll create a mage from an early time period. The geographical location and time in mind is civilization in ancient central African (pre-colonial, about 3,000 years ago). Specifically in regions near the coast, during the time which the proto-bantu people existed, but towards the end of the Bantu Explosion. My character will be from the area what is known as, Cameroon, today.

The question I have is that if they are from so far in the past - what tie in will you give them to the history of those who have rose against Castelvania and Dracula - as well as his generals and the Night Scourge. A lot of the characters brought to the present are being brought due to their ties to the Belmonts, Belnades, etc. So I need to know what your tie in would be, what figure from history are you creating, that can be used for pulling them forward to work with the United front?

The idea was to create a character from a clan who's job was to help keep their community safe from vampires and other evil things (night creatures, malevolent spirits, vampires, cyclops, etc.) Similar to the Belmonts I suppose, but they were magicians rather than hunters/warriors. The tie-in I thought of was that they were able to kill a powerful vampire in their life, which is why they were chosen to come and help humanity in the modern era.

SweetSerenade

After I finish Amaranth and Puck's Profiles I'll be working on Sypha. Sypha is my PC 'Good' character. Amaranth and Puck are just Storyline essential characters that will be used to get the other characters to the present, Puck himself is forbidden from combat unless it's in defense of himself or someone he is protecting, Amaranth is going to be more of an advising position but will enter combat if she needs to - but she's more intended as a means for the others to get to the future.

The problem you face with that is you need to make it significant enough that the story would not have been wiped out by the RCC, as they are prone to do. If you are making them from 3,000 years ago that's quite a long time ago in human history, and the story of what they did would need prevalence. The other issue we may face is the fact that it's going to be enough of a culture shock to bring a character a few hundred years in the future, but a few thousand might prove dangerous to them. There is also a language barrier. Amaranth has no way of knowing that language, and I doubt a magical white-haired pale-skinned man is going to go over well in that region of the world. They will either consider Puck a God, or a Demon, and act accordingly.

The people selected from the past, that are not Belmonts or directly tied to them in some way - were selected because of the possibility of prevailing stories of their capabilities against Dracula and his scourge. Now if you wanted to do something from say the time period of the Panther Queen - I can see that working VERY well.

She said it better than I could, but that's more or less why I wasn't all that enthused by your idea there GrayDreamer.  It's a GOOD idea, but it doesn't fit as well with the general themes being presented is all.  They need to be able to more directly influence events and having them much closer to the present would be a good way to go.

My thinking was that the language barrier wasn't a contended issue for some reason or another since Castlevania takes place in a region and time (Walachia, in Romania) in which English was not commonly spoken. Also, Bantu mythology doesn't have multiple gods or demons (they did believe in monsters though so that's a thing).

oh I don't about the Panther Queen, but I'm definitely open to help with this and suggestions to edit this concept towards that.

Amaranth is a 'plot' device character, so has been able to learn a lot. Plus with Puck's help she can talk to just about anyone she's collecting. The big issue would be someone from that far in the past would have no way of surviving in the modern era. I just mean something similar to the Panther Queen story, find a story of something from that area, something that prevailed passed all the bullshit the Church pulled all over the world. Hell what about making a family that's supposed to be children of Anansi? Something like that? Children of Anansi who were prone to hunting down dark creatures a few hundred years in the past, sort of relative time period to the events of a lot of Castlevania stuff, that gives them enough time to not be completely wiped from 'history' by the church, and allows enough knowledge that Amaranth can use that to her advantage when she tries to get their help.

Edit: Sweet Fluff - Puck and Amaranth are expanding at a rapid rate...

So basically a character based from a story that can be found irl to act as a tie in because if we have heard of it that means the RCC didn't wipe it clean from history's gaze, right? Something for Puck and Amaranth to go, "oh hey, this person can work!" ?

But Castlevania styling is more than welcome to be used. So History but alternate history. Like if someone wanted to make Cuchulain, or Lancelot (Who was Staunchly Atheist actually, he despised the church and what it forced people to do!) - those could be used. Do remember though, we do need some canon characters before we start the game. We are aiming for at least Alucard (Anime preferred, or Main Castlevania Storyline) and two Belmonts (Likely Trevor and Simon will be the ones most people run to, but prefer having some Belmonts around) - before we start the game. We want not just a good balance of Canon and OC, but Male and Female as well. :3

In terms of canon characters, how true to the source material are you guys hoping to implement into the story? I would be interested in creating a sheet for Alucard and/or Isaac. Is Isaac still a villain? I'm kinda confused on that since he hates the vampires who all betrayed Dracula and most (if not all) of humanity as well. Like it sounded like he wasn't really fond of vampires surviving the human purge because Dracula wasn't trying to make a world in which vampires thrived (as far as the netflix original went). Or is that open to interpretation?

It's open to an extent, but normal Players should be aware you only get one 'hero' and one villain for the story. We would prefer a more anime Styled Alucard for things, and at least sticking to a decent amount of the character canon - while still having your own flare. If you need help, or are interested in picking up a Hero Canon and a Villain Canon - we can make that work. Anime Isaac is significantly different than the game Isaac (Who was neither dark skinned or bald, in fact Game Isaac was ginger and sewn together basically) - but we are very open to those possibilities.

Apologies, I'm trying to finish Amaranth and Puck, while also doing schoolwork, and I have work later today. xD

Vergil1989

Name:  Hector the Devil Forgemaster
Gender:  Male
Age:  26  (Two years after the end of Curse of Darkness)
Canon/OC:  Canon  (Castlevania:  Curse of Darkness)
Alignment:  Hero
Race:  Human
Sexual Orientation:  Straight
Appearance:  Hector appears frail and lithe, but nothing could be further from the truth.  Behind his silver, unkempt hair that frames his handsome face, with piercing pale gray eyes that miss little of the world around him, is a keen mind that has an understanding of how the world functions down to its atomic level.  Dressed in a blue-black overcoat with a pair of long gray pants and leather boots that reach up to his knees, which are also black, the Forgemaster is surprisingly agile and quick on his feet while also being built like a small tank beneath his noble like exterior.  He's far from nobility, but he neither cares for such titles nor feels comfortable in such situations anyway, preferring to stick to what he's good at.  Still, despite the callouses on his hands and the scars from an abusive childhood, Hector always has a thoughtful smile on his face, especially when he's hard at work when he's lost in the zone, the ebb and flow of the magical energies he knows about as well as he knows himself these days.
Skills/Magic/AbilitiesMaster Devil Forgemaster - Despite having betrayed Dracula not once, but twice, Hector has since regained complete mastery of his ability to craft matter into Hellish abominations, while also being able to reshape flesh and bone in much the same way, creating 'life from unlife' as his will and sharp mind desires.  Having been the son of a skilled alchemist, he understands how matter can be reconstituted in ways even his father could've never hoped to match, and thus, a simple piece of bronze can be transformed into a behemoth of a monstrous creature with ease under his power.  While he can forge far more mundane weapons and armor as he wishes, sometimes with magical enchantments woven into the steel as its created, as long as he has the right materials at hand and access to enough residual energy to fuel his forging, Hector's real skill resides in creating monsters and Hellish abominations from the flesh of the fallen.  He's also able to revive the monsters that he creates, maintaining an endless supply of disposable soldiers for whichever side he happens to be on.  His TRUE skill however, is in the creation of Innocent Devils, beings of immense power that are allied only to Hector and his indomitable will.  The monsters he forges can easily be controlled by those he allows to control them, meaning his monstrous creatures are valuable as shock troops to whoever can properly command them, but Innocent Devils are far more intrinsically tied to his very soul and life energy, meaning they will always return to his side no matter how far afield he might send them to help his allies.  Not only that, but once an Innocent Devil is defeated, it needs only to spend enough time in the space between to be reconstituted by Hector's side once more, meaning he is never alone for long, if he's alone at all.  (Anime AND Curse of Darkness based in equal parts.)

Skilled Combatant - As a former General in Dracula's unholy armies, Hector has mastered the use of more than a few weapons in his time, preferring swords, axes, hammers, and pole weapons such as lances or tridents, to name but a few.  Ranged weapons, while not beyond him, aren't his favored kind of style since he vastly prefers to look his enemies in the face before cutting them down with acrobatic skill and grace, coupled with a surprising amount of strength behind his swings given his activities behind his Devil's Forge.  (Curse of Darkness based more than his Anime appearance)

Keen Intellect - Despite his inability to socialize with large groups of people without feeling quite out of his element, behind his pale face and piercing gray eyes resides a mind capable of comprehending far more than most would believe him capable of at a glance.  While the modern age will confuse him to no end, new ideas and concepts won't escape his grasp for long.  Not only that, but his Foregemaster skills will only increase in their potency the more knowledge he absorbs, and his willingness to adapt new techniques and power to his own can only be a benefit in the long term.  Not only that, but he has learned several languages, mostly so he can read and write down notes in various tomes he carries, containing his various formula and alchemical processes he tends to favor in his Devil Forging.  Notes on the human and animal anatomies are also heavy influences in his power, since you can't create life from nothing without knowing HOW it all goes together.

Alchemy - While he prefers to use his Forge based abilities first and foremost, he knows how to brew various poisons, potions, and other such substances with the same ease that witches find when they brew their concoctions.  His concoctions and potions however are far more based in the sciences rather than the mystical, and he knows the various names and atomic numbers of the metals, ores, and the like that he works with.  He might be able to turn lead into gold, but he vastly prefers far more useful applications of his power and knowledge.  Besides, what use is gold and the wealth it brings if everyone's dead, thus unable to enjoy its transient if materialistic value?

Peak Physical Condition - While he's only human, his training in his various weapons based skills, (many of which he Forged himself), on top of the fact he physically has to swing a Forge hammer specifically made for Devil Forging, has left Hector at the top of what a human can achieve without magical aid or enhancement like the Belmonts or the Belnades.  While he'd never be a werewolf or vampire's physical equal by any means, he can take a hit and send it back with surprising force, which is further enhanced by the masterwork level of his weapons and armor.  Between that and the sheer weight of most of his preferred gear, Hector is exceptionally dangerous in close range on his own, without any further enhancement from his Innocent Devils.

Synchronicity - He's achieved a level of mastery over his created Innocent Devils that allows him to work in perfect tandem with them.  Two bodies moving together in such harmony is rarely ever seen by anyone, but while part of their shared ferocity and presence is dependent on the bond between Devil and Forgemaster, Hector treats his IDs with respect and compassion where someone far less kind would mistreat their creations.  While they might be a literal manifestation of his life energy and magical prowess, IDs are still enough of their own person for him to consider them worthy of the same respect he gives to anyone worthy of it.
Flaws:  "A Forgemaster's work is never done." - It takes time, material, and energy to forge anything, regardless if it's a mere shield or a powerful Innocent Devil.  The bigger the intended project, the more it costs to create both in material, time, and cost to Hector himself.  While he can go for hours on end with little rest and fuel in the form of food, he risks harm to his very life, his soul if he goes too long without taking a break, OR if he tries to create something far too powerful for even he to control.

Emotional - While he's mellowed out somewhat since putting the death of his beloved Rosaly behind him, along with his need for revenge, Hector is a passionate individual when the stress becomes too much for him to bear.  He can be easily manipulated into facing odds too much for one man alone, even with powers such as his, and while he doesn't give up easily, he is only human at the end of the day.

Only Human - He might be in the best shape of his life, but he IS only human.  He cannot heal from a decapitation after all, and blood loss and poisons can still bring him low.  While it'd take something fairly stronger than what would normally be used to bring down most men, he has no innate resistances to such substances despite all the time he's spent working with such dangerous chemicals.

Limited - Devil Forging is exceedingly powerful, but Hector can only have one active Innocent Devil at his side at a time.  He can store several within his mind and soul for use in various situations, but there is no way for him to surpass this limit.  Thankfully, his rival and arch enemy, Isaac, is also limited in this fashion.  The monsters and weapons they can make are under no such limitations, but they can only create so many of these at a time over a twenty-four hour period.  Materials used are able to be reclaimed so that they can be remade into something useful once more, but they still need time to be properly remade into fresh monsters and items for war.  Thus, cutting through a Forgemaster's arsenal and monsters, while difficult, is not impossible by any means.
Personality:  Despite his ties with his world and time's Dracula, Hector was never truly EVIL like many of his compatriots.  Yes, he was invested in culling the human population, but he didn't wish his fellow humans to suffer needlessly, only to be brought to heel in as humane fashion as possible.  Due to the abuse at the hands of his mother and the cold, distant way his father treated his very existence, he tends to withdraw into his work, whatever that happens to be.  That said, he is kind and respectful, if mildly distrustful, of individuals he's only just met, and while he'd prefer not to have to use his powers ever again after defeating Isaac two years ago, protecting the whole of time and reality itself is more than enough for Hector to take up his Forge hammer once more.  Even so, the man has a deep fascination for learning all he can, which he then applies to making life at least comfortable for himself and those few friends he's allowed to get close enough to him.  Everyone else he keeps at a distance because most aren't able to accept his alchemical leanings, let alone the fact he is able to bend reality and reshape it to fit his desires.

When he isn't required to forge fresh engines of war and monstrous abominations to protect those he loves and calls his allies, Hector prefers long walks through the mountains around his homeland of Wallachia, or sitting under his favorite tree on the outskirts of his village, where his friend Julia resides, poring over some tome of ancient knowledge and magic he's gotten his hands on if not far more mundane stories of love, chivalry, and adventure despite having had his fill of such things.  Just because he's tired of war and bloodshed doesn't mean he can't enjoy the romanticized versions of such far too true events he's experienced for himself.  And while his heart still aches for his loving wife, Rosaly, who was taken by Isaac's cruel manipulations, Hector is no longer driven to find vengeance for her death.  He has moved past such concerns, having put his demons to bed, in more ways than one, by utterly defeating his rival and fellow Forgemaster within Dracula's arisen castle during their last fated encounter.  Not only that, but he was able to break the curse upon the land Dracula had left upon his death years before, thus saving the world from one such evil influence at least, which has further helped Hector to heal in his way.  Still, the scars are there, and he does his best to bear his loneliness, but he can't help but seek someone to stand by his side, just as Rosaly had done once upon a time...
Background Information:  Not so long ago, Hector was bereft of the woman he loved, Rosaly, by the jealous if clever manipulations by his fellow Forgemaster, Isaac, who was still unquestionably loyal to Dracula despite his recent demise.  Two years ago, Hector was finally able to put Isaac down, and while the man was able to limp away after everything was said and done, Dracula returned to his grave for a time once more, making it seem that his adventures were over once and for all, his quest for vengeance fulfilled.  And for two years, that seemed to be the case, until he received a pair of mysterious visitors, Lady Amaranth, and her fae companion, Puck.  Together, they convinced him to pick up his hammer and call upon his powers as a Devil Forgemaster once more, but it took time on their part.  Having had his fill of war, bloodshed, and the violence that always followed in his wake, Hector invited the pair to his home to discuss just what was at stake.  While he didn't trust the pair, he could sense, despite his social awkwardness in some respects, the woman's sincerity, and he could see the pain from her recent losses in regards to her slaughtered family.  As such, he reluctantly agreed to see the world she had come from, to stop Dracula before he could build an army of darkness the likes of which even Hector couldn't have ever conceived of before now.

Having been raised in a small village in beautiful Wallachia, Hector discovered by happenstance his ability to bring the dead back to some semblance of life when he discovered a little white dog in the fields around his family's cottage.  He didn't understand his power then, but after he had pulled upon the invisible thread within his own heart and mind, using his sadness and hope for the animal at his feet, the dog opened its eyes and barked happily as it ran circles around the now overjoyed boy.  Pleased by his achievement, he didn't think much of the fact there was a gaping hole torn out of the dog's right side, until he showed his mother what he'd brought home with him.  As would be expected from most people, she screamed in terror and recoiled from him.  His father didn't take too kindly to his 'devil's sorcery' either, although his was a far more distant and cold kind of reaction since he was too consumed with his work to truly care about him or his mother, who quickly turned downright cruel and abusive of the young Hector.  It took only about a year for Hector to burn down his own home, saddened by the fact he was killing his own parents, but he had no other choice, not if he wanted to become something more than the cruel beasts as they had devolved into.  Besides, it had become painfully clear that they didn't love him anymore, that his cursed powers had marked him as something to be feared, so he turned that pain into hatred and rage against the rest of his own kind, at least for a time.

Even at his worst and most devoted to Dracula, Hector was kind and respectful, seeking more to control the human population rather than outright exterminating it.  He believed, in his logical fashion, that the world would be a far better place if they were brought to heel, so that no child such as he would suffer ever again such abuses as he had.  Perhaps he was blindingly naive to believe in Dracula, but it had taken a monster to treat the then young man as something more than a cursed THING to be degraded and beaten down simply for trying to understand what he has since mastered.  The respect and the level of trust Dracula gave Hector encouraged the young man to excel in everything he was tasked to achieve, or that he set his mind to, and while this created a jealous rivalry with Isaac, his equal in almost every respect, Hector simply enjoyed his work.  His single minded dedication to whatever project he put his mind to was the real catalyst to all of the praise and respect Dracula gave to him, which, while Isaac was also given much respect and power in his court, it was clear to everyone Hector was the favored of the two.  Hence when Hector eventually left the castle and betrayed Dracula, Isaac was furious, but all too happy to chase him down, fully intending to kill Hector rather than bring him back as he'd been ordered to by Dracula himself.  Instead, Hector managed to elude Isaac long enough, leaving the castle largely unprotected, just about the same time a Belmont infiltrated the place, killing Dracula in the process.

Whatever their past, while Isaac still lives, Hector is no longer interested in pursuing the man.  Besides, there are so much more at stake now that Amaranth has found him, persuading him to help fight the new army of the night that a very different Dracula has assembled in a future far from his own.  The potential to meet another version of himself though has made Hector wary, yet morbidly curious at the same time however since he wonders how he might've turned out if he had made different choices at any point in his life....

Additional NotesInnocent Devils and Abilities, I will not be using the secret 'Pumpkin type' of Innocent Devil.  Everything else though is fair game, but I'll get a list of Hector's most commonly used IDs later.
Excellent Cook - Whether due to his studies in alchemy or because of his keen mind, Hector can make quite a few tasty meals with only a few ingredients.
Forgemaster - I'm combining elements from both his in-game appearance and the anime he pops up in, so he WILL be working with the dead bodies of the recently deceased, human and monsters alike, to forge monsters for the allies to use and train against as our glorious leader desires.  (It will get messy regardless, so warnings to you folks if you have sensitive stomachs.)

Preferred ID Type Library

Fairy Type:  Comet Star  (Powerful healer and not to shabby in an offensive capacity either.)
Battle Type:  Liquid Golem  (A straight up physical assault type of ID, the Golem can turn into a sphere of mercury, OR become pure walking magma, further augmenting its attacks.  Either way, all golems can easily lift many times their own weight.)
Bird Type:  Indigo  (Can use this for limited flight capabilities outside of its powerful ice based breath attacks and physical prowess.)
Mage Type:  Crystal Rod  (Powerful magical attacks and defensive spells are a mage's bread and butter.)
Devil Type:  The End  (Devils are exceedingly powerful but...strange in their abilities, preferring to turn their Forgemaster into magical circles capable of generating sharp spikes and the like.)

SweetSerenade

Amaranth is done with some possibilities of some tweaking needed. Puck will be finished up pretty quickly, the only one left I need to worry about is get Sypha going.

Bakemono Shiki RP(Lovely Siggy Layout is thanks to Amaris)

SweetSerenade

Name:  Sypha Belnades
Gender:  Female
Age:  20-22
Canon/OC:  Canon - Castlevania Animated Series
Alignment:  Hero
Race:  Human
Sexual Orientation:  Heterosexual(Trevorsexual, let's be honest)
Appearance
A young woman who has a slight frame even in comparison to others in her day and age. She probably would be roughly around 5'4'', and has a slim build that has proven to be very resilient. Though she specializes in magic, and often wears robes of her Speaker path, she is not someone to be laughed at in combat. Most of her body is lean and compact, built for combat. Which she uses as efficiently as possible. Her eyes are a blue tone that is not uncommon for her family, and her hair is a mixture between a blond-red-brown coloration that she often keeps short due to the efficiency of pretending to be a male in the time period she is from.

Skills/Magic/Abilities
History of the Speakers: As a Speaker, Sypha is highly educated and knows the full history of Wallachia. Her knowledge includes prophecies of the future, which have been proven to be accurate. Nevertheless, she eventually and grudgingly admits that their practice of passing knowledge through oral tradition is foolish, when compared to the value of accumulated knowledge through written word.

Speaker Magician: Sypha is an immensely powerful mage, to the point that she was able to dispatch much of Dracula's monsters and three of Dracula's generals with little effort, defend and counter one of Dracula's strongest spells, and even manipulate Castlevania to the extent of being able to teleport it to her desired location and keep the stronghold rooted there. The full extent of her abilities is still unknown.

Pyrokinesis: Sypha is able to generate enormous walls of flame and control them masterfully. She is also capable of launching multiple balls of fire at her targets, defending and counteracting fire-based attacks from her opponents (including Dracula himself) and even burning one of Dracula's generals alive simply with the touch of her hand.

Cryokinesis: Sypha is able to create constructions of ice (blocks, shards, walls, and sheets) and freeze any type of water instantly, including holy water. In the Battle of Gresit, this power proved instrumental against the Night Horde as both a defensive wall, and offensive blast of ice shards. Sypha's control over ice extends to being able to alter the shape of her created constructs, making them as large or as small as she wants them to be as well as a measure of telekinetic control over them.

Aerokinesis: Sypha is able to conjure small whirlwinds and use the wind to propel herself upward. This was especially useful in the catacombs as she was able to manipulate the wind in order to soften her and Trevor's landing, as well as transport herself upward to more stable ground. She is also able to alter the temperature of the wind she conjures, which she used to great effect against one of Dracula's generals.

Knowledge of lost languages: Sypha knows ancient languages that are lost by mankind that help her in summoning powerful spells or lifting magic seals. This includes Adamic; the original language spoken by Adam and Eve.

Enhanced physical condition: While Sypha lacks the might of Trevor and Alucard, she is nevertheless more robust than any other human woman. Sypha recovered falling deep into the underground of Gresit and even survived getting physically attacked by Dracula, who can kill mortals with single strikes. However, Sypha was still the most physically injured in the aftermath of the battle, requiring bandages for her arm.
Flaws
Only Human - Despite being highly resilient Sypha is only human. She can still be killed like other humans can, and while she is skilled in combat and magic - she still has her faults.

Magic Burn - I am adding this as a thing for her to limit her magical capabilities - magic is not limitless within a caster, even with components, and as such she has to take breaks before more magic can be used. This can vary based on the magic.

Childish at times - Emotionally and verbally she can be quite childish at times. She tries to see the best in everything, but she also can be quite petulent in how she treats others. (This was seen in her reactions to Trevor and offering to piss in a bucket to give it to him as beer, much to her grandfather's chagrin.)

Speaker - As a Speaker her family is in direct conflict with the church and their views, her family is often hunted by the Roman Catholic Church - either burned as witches(Well they are not wrong there) or chased out of towns. The way the Speakers are treated is no better than how the Romani are treated in Western Europe in later time periods.

More to be added at suggestion

Personality:
Sypha is a woman that handles responsibility well, and was raised her entire life knowing what her responsibility would be as a Speaker. Not only is she a speaker, but she's a magician as well, and this warrants her a position in life that most women in Wallachia don't have. She is very headstrong towards her goals, and believes in the cause she was raised with. She will defend her loved ones, if it is needed, and shows a distinct loyalty that is hardfast and long lasting.

She is also a pacifist and would prefer to not harm humans if she can prevent it, it is a weakness of her's that she has never overcome. As seen when she used a wall of fire to protect Trevor from villagers, but also in how she interacts with humans in general. This pacifism does not spread towards demons and creatures of darkness, as she believes they need to be removed for the future to be had.

She is also quite funny, and likes to crack jokes and poke fun at people, and despite this semi-jovial nature (Often crude at that, refer to the piss bucket joke) she is also very perceptive and intelligent. She is very good at figuring out the emotions of others, and very good at any learning she applies herself to. She is also adamently against the Church and it's Priests, and finds them more detrimental to their cause than they might do that would help.

Background Information
Sypha was raised in the Speaker clan, her grandfather their leader and Elder, was the one who primarily raised her. She has a staunch loyalty to her loved ones, and will do what she can to protect them - even put herself at risk. She started off her 'adventures' in Gresit by trying to find the 'Sleeping Soldier' (Alucard) but almost died in the cause because she was turned to stone by a cyclops. After Trevor Belmont saves her she ends up traveling with him, begrudgindly, because she does not see that he cares anymore. She sees a man so swamped in his grief that he doesn't care about Wallachia and the people within it.

Over time, and through many trials, Sypha ends up coming to respect him, even defending him against others. Because of this respect they are able to go back below Gresit and manage to find the Sleeping Soldier, who turns out to be Dracula's Half-Vampire Son(with Lisa). In the beginning it was a rocky start, and when Alucard tried to sink his fangs into Trevor she violently reacted with magic threatening his life.

This proved both of them to Alucard, and the three became a force to be reckoned with against Dracula and his Council. After the end of their journey she retreats with Trevor and they start traveling to clean up any remnants that may exist, while also tracking down any far flung members of her family.

Additional Notes:
-My Sypha is in love with Trevor Belmont
-Sypha is prone to being a bit jaded towards others but enjoys poking fun, this can go too far sometimes, but she is also known to see the truth in others and try to do what she can to help.
-Will add more as I think about them.

I was thinking on going with Charlotte from Portrait of Ruin.

Charlotte would definitely be welcome, but anyone with close ties to the church might be closely scrutinized by Amaranth and Puck - mostly because both have their own qualms with the RCC. Do you have ideas of rectifying this? Or do you think after all is said and done Charlotte might have just settled down into a normal life and cut off her ties with the Church in favor of running her life?

Well hey Kath!  Welcome welcome, and by all means, you're welcome to join the party, truly.

Hopefully you're able to keep up with this and that D&D game I still fully intend to run.  :P  That aside, I haven't seen Portrait of Ruin, strangely enough, BUT I know the name at least and it'd be an easy thing to watch a Youtube walkthrough of it I'm sure.  But please, don't let me stop you simply due to my own lack of knowledge.  I'm sure Serenade has more than her share of the lore tucked in her head as well, but I'll still answer what questions I can for ya Kathyan.

And Serenade?  Godbrand is gonna die horribly for slaughtering Amaranth's family, just so you know.  :D

So how would good guys do with this in mind:

Well there is two sides to this story, those working with Dracula and the Twins, and those working with Amaranth and Puck. So there isn't just a force of true darkness being applied. We are going to have a full cast of interactive characters from both sides.

I included a link to the post made by Serenade on how this is explained, but yes, what she says is true Frog.  I WILL say however that we won't be accelerating the posting pace to accommodate only a few people.  Some of our players DO have lives that takes far more priority than anything related to Elliquiy, so as long as we understand each other, then we shouldn't have a problem.  :D

I haven't put much thought into this but I had this idea about Charlotte having been trapped inside of a lost painting as an alternate end of her history. She would be released only recently probably thanks to something related to Dracula's castle and she would have to adapt to life on 21st century.

Amaranth and Puck are actually gathering all of the people who will be on the Heros side, using the paths of Underhill, so that's how most of them will be brought in. But if you want to go the portrait route you can do that? I was just asking if Charlotte would be willing to 'retire' her position with the Church for the fight ahead, as Puck and Amaranth are not known to be very... giving towards the church (Since technically the Church is what started all this shit in the first place. xD)

Open to ideas though?

Also I think Sypha is done for the time being. I didn't get as detailed as I could because I was trying to not put too many spoilers for the Animates series.

So my characters for now, are completed.

I might have to read a bit more about story, I know all was started by the church but also Charlotte is tied to the church and related to Sypha. I dont remember much of castlevania lore since I dont play games for quite some time. Weren't there different and opposing groups/factions within the church? Anyway I am willing of having her abandon the church, though reluctantly, if she finds out or is told facts to sway her into making such decision.

Maybe she could agree to 'retire' but still be dubious if that is the right thing to do and continue to investigate more, other might not like this or plainly suspect about her and have her watched or whatever. Just some loose ideas.

But yes I'd like to go the portrait route, she could have been rescued by Amarnath and/or Puck, but waking 200 years in the future sounds like a fun thing to try with a vampire hunter wizard. ^^

Actually, from her character profile, it appears that Charlotte was born in the 1920's and was about 16 at the time of Portrait of Ruin (which was set in 1944)- so we would need her to get trapped a bit after that, since we don't allow any characters under 18. But she could easily still end up locked in a portrait? Hence cutting off her part of the Belnades line.

She is far-flung related, probably a distant cousin or niece to Sypha, so that should prove very interesting, since Sypha herself is very Anti-Church, and could potentially tell Charlotte first hand what the Church did that caused all this trouble. Plus given she's from the 1940's Charlotte could know that there is some controversy to the RCC and their actions, so ending up getting access to the internet should give her more info. I think of all the characters Charlotte would adjust the easiest as she's from a pretty recent time.

I think given what 'time' our story is in, Modern times, and that Vegil has decided there is no real belnades or belmont family left - I think that nixes the Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow games as those are set in the future.

Bakemono Shiki RP(Lovely Siggy Layout is thanks to Amaris)

Vergil1989

Well, in THIS time Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow aren't a thing, but keep in mind we're pulling from EVERY canon source there is, even Lord of Shadows 1 and 2, so it's entirely possible those HAVE happened in another time and place.  Hope that helps everyone out since this is OUR canon in any event, allowing for all kinds of crazy stuff to happen.  But yes, in the 'current' timeline, the Belmonts and Belnades aren't around, but in another one?  That's another story altogether.  ;D

Oh indeed, but they might have to find another way back, as I am not sure if Amaranth and Puck can sustain the magic to go into the future from the past - it's one thing to draw people from the past to the future, but the level of energy needed to go into a future that they know nothing about (even alternate timeline) might prove difficult? So I guess anyone from those two might have to find a way to facilitate getting 'lost'? XD

Added some music to both of my profiles, Bloody Tears! is awesome as ever, especially this cover I just found a little bit ago.  ;D  Also added Vampira, that giant stone mask from Rondo of Blood, to Camilla's Additional Notes section since she more or less ripped control of it from her 'former' and far more insane self in this current timeline.  She didn't like 'her' very much.  :P

Yeah, if they're from the FUTURE, that might make things a little too wonky I'm sorry to say.  It's far from impossible, but meh, if you can come up with a viable reason and what have you, we could possibly be convinced.  Sorry for the inconvenience otherwise.   :-[

I WILL say though that Dracula and the twins that are helping him achieve all this dimensional hopping, time traveling stuff are off limits.  They, like Puck and Amaranth, are NPCs meant to help move the story along more than anything.  Otherwise pretty much everyone else is fair game.  I WILL say that if anyone uses 'Death' from the Lord of Shadows telling of events, the one portrayed by the ever amazing Sir Patrick Stewart, the man who brought Captain Picard to life, I will seriously love you for life.  ;D  Lol and yes, that pun was definitely intended.

Amaranth and Puck are essentially plot devices used to get everyone together.  Same as the twins. That's why Amaranth has magic as a modern day person. The forces of magic never leave the world completely bereft of aid...

Also death would be fun because I totally imagine him having tea with Morrigan going : "look at these youngsters!  So bereft of the olden days. Alas,  we are a dying breed. "

Bakemono Shiki RP(Lovely Siggy Layout is thanks to Amaris)

Lol indeed, although Zobek's rendition of the powerful necromancer, the literal master over life and death, DEATH himself, is my most favorite of the incarnations of Death throughout the games.  Yes, I know that Lord of Shadows is NOT technically canon, at least not from the first series of Castlevania games, BUT most of the characters from those games were far more fleshed out and incredible in my opinion.  That's only my opinion though.  :D

"I've....made mistakes before, Lady Morrigan, I let my fear of Satan's power force me to turn against my old 'friend', Gabriel.  A term I use more freely now since he was right, he and Alucard were able to stop him.  Now....if I can help THIS world's Dracula, even if he is not Gabriel, but rather this Mathias from long ago, I will do what I can to ensure life continues as it always has, because without life, what need is there for Death?"

"Is that what you consider yourself as, Lord Zobek?"

"I would never claim to be your superior, Lady Morrigan, but I have mastered near everything there is to know of such primal forces that govern all of our lives, mine included.  What little I don't, I intend to learn so that I might be of more use to the cause."

So, what's up with everyone guys and gals?  :D

Doing Schoolwork before I leave for work in and hour and a half to two hours?

Bakemono Shiki RP(Lovely Siggy Layout is thanks to Amaris)

Vergil1989

Name:  Justin and Elizabeth  (No known last name, but prefers Mr/Ms. Justin and Elizabeth Smith)
Gender:  Male and female  (Virgins)
Age:  Born 1999, January 20th  Both are 20
Canon/OC:  OC
Alignment:  Villains
Race:  Human sorcerer/sorceress
Sexual Orientation:  Straight/Lesbian respectfully.
Appearance:  The twins are easily mistaken at a distance for the other, but upon closer inspection, it doesn't take much to see who's who.  Both might have long blonde hair, but Elizabeth's is better taken care of, allowed to flow down her back in beautiful waves that crash over both of her slender shoulders and arms, while Justin simply lets his fall every which way down his own back, what part of it doesn't fall over his right shoulder at least.  Justin's eyes are a duller, dimmer blue, while Elizabeth's are brighter, more of a lustrous opal shade, but both are cold, distant, and almost completely devoid of anything resembling warmth, love, or kindness, save for each other and those few allies they allow to get close.  Both dress in whatever clothes they've managed to steal, using their powers to make fast getaways before they found a treasure trove of spell tomes and arcane artifacts.  While they still prefer loose short, t-shirts, shorts, jeans, and the like, Justin has a preference for darker tones and colors, mostly to disguise the scars from his side of the abuse they had both endured, while his siter, Elizabeth, wishes to be seen with her more brighter color palette of reds, blues, grays, etc, because she's spent too much time locked away in the dark of their foster parents' basement and the like, overall being isolated and ignored when she wasn't being 'punished' for every little thing.

Justin was physically abused to the point his foster father and mother both left him with a permanent limp in his right leg, a number of cigarette burn scars along his chest and back, and even a long cut across his stomach from where his 'mother' threw a knife at him simply for accidentally spilling his plate of food to the ground.  It was after he got out of the hospital that he and Elizabeth ran away, never looking back.  Despite these scars, Justin is the more physically fit of the two of them, although Elizabeth isn't too far behind him in this regard.  He's more physically powerful, having done his best to shield his sister whenever he was able.  Joining Dracula's forces however has given the young man far more of a physical presence despite his seemingly frail, lithe and slender appearance at a distance, further hidden by his long pants and long sleeved shirts.  Elizabeth, who's currently missing her right eye due to a knife slash from someone who had tried to rob them, on the other hand is more agile, like a dancer, or a ballerina, preferring to weave fluid movements into her spellcasting while keeping herself out of harm's way at the same time.  While both wear a Roman styled Catholic cross around their respective necks, both only wear them as a reminder of what they're trying to achieve....
Skills/Magic/Abilities:  Time manipulation - While they can bend reality itself to their whims, the biggest of their spells require that they prepare a drawn out ritual that can take several hours.  However, the twins can easily rewind, fast forward, and even stop time around them at will, aging objects, people, and entire areas around them for various effects as they so desire.  While it's exhausting to kill a person in this fashion, they have absolutely no problem in making someone literally die of accelerated age if they're given enough time to complete their work on a target.  Even vampires aren't immune to this since the body still needs to eat, drink, and all the rest, and as they've seen for themselves, it'll literally eat itself in an effort to stave off death.  It simply speeds up the target's demise however.

Necromancy - Like many mages in Dracula's armies, the twins have achieved a level of mastery over life and death that could potentially rival death, given more time to study their budding powers.  While they still have a long way to go to truly achieve the rank of master in this area, both have already made significant strides even before they found Dracula when they did.  Now, they can raise various skeletal minions, zombies, and far more powerful, nightmarish variants of what many have already encountered within Castlevania over the long decades.  They've even brought back Legion, a pulsating, writhing mass of countless bodies all fused around a central core, except theirs is far more formidable than most that has ever been encountered before.  Dissecting and cutting apart the flesh of others before putting them together again in new, horrific forms is hardly a problem for these two, and they are happy to add to the pile in their own right if it means the end of the corrupt and sick world they've grown long since given up on.

Demon Summoning - From Flame Devils to Succubi, to things of pure chaos and more besides, give them time and the twins won't disappoint.  While they aren't Devil Forgemasters, thus they have to work harder to achieve their ritual spellcasting without ending up as smears on the ground, they don't need to be Hector or Isaac's equals in their unique field to supply an army of soldiers from every conceivable level of Hell itself, and beyond if they're able to do so.  For now they're content to conjure demons and devils from wherever they can be found, using Dracula's massive library of the darkest magical spell books, tomes, and cursed artifacts that's ever been imagined, which they handle with the proper respect and care befitting elder mages far older than they.  Their youth does play against them, but their insane levels of skill, intellect, and dedication more than makes up for this shortcoming.

Genius Intellect - While they've never been officially tested, the twins have more than intelligence between them to be more than an intellectual equal to some of Dracula's most gifted tacticians.  It's a bit of a debate as to who's the smarter of the two, something even Justin and Elizabeth aren't sure of, which has caused some friendly competition between them in the past.  What they make up in any school related education they've figured out on their own, given enough time to study their various subjects, some they genuinely enjoy and love rather than simply accruing knowledge to further their magical abilities, which they do go to with quite a bit of zeal.

Indomitable Will - Despite all the abuse, the abandonment issues, and the general hate the world had for them, they never allowed themselves to be broken.  Bent, beaten, bruised, and battered maybe, but every trial they've overcome has made them so much stronger, at least in their minds.

Physically Fit - Due to a combination of having survived life on the streets and keeping themselves in as best shape as they can so they could survive their various ordeals after running away from home, the twins are physically stronger than most their age.  While they have no formal training outside of the few weeks they've spent with Dracula and his allies, they are eager to learn and have the potential to grow so much stronger, given time.
Flaws:  Claustrophobia - While this only affects Elizabeth, she cannot stand tight and enclosed spaces.  Being tied up, gagged, and blindfolded is one thing, especially if it's someone she trusts to not mistreat her, but the moment she's shoved into a small closet or a dark, lightless basement and she can't get out, she starts to lose her grasp on her already rocky sanity.

"I will keep her safe!" - While Justin is able to do his own thing without needing to be by Elizabeth's side twenty-four hours a day, he does periodically check in with her to make sure she's alright.  If he suspects something's wrong, then he'll do everything he can to get to her side, even if that means disobeying direct orders from Dracula himself.  And if she HAS come to harm, gods help whoever has made the mistake of hurting her, because he certainly will not show a shred of mercy for the offender.

Diseased - While it's not made itself known for some time, both were born with a rare genetic disorder that, occasionally, gives them terrible pain and momentary bouts of paralysis.  There's likely a proper name for what's wrong with them, but they don't know it, but what they do know, deep down, is that they're living on borrowed time as things stand now.  It affects Elizabeth far more than Justin, which only further exacerbates his need to protect her and keep her as healthy and safe as he possibly can.  Being turned into a vampire might not be the worst thing they could do, but neither has worked up the courage to ask....yet.

PTSD - While they've done much to get past what they endured as children, both Justin and Elizabeth still have terrible nightmares of the things their foster parents had done to them until they ran off.  Couple that with a few instances of other kids their age and much older people trying to harm them in some way or another, and it's no surprise they're still haunted, let alone why they hate the world as strongly as they do.

No formal training - While it's a gap they've done their best to fill in the few short weeks they've been around Dracula and his generals, Justin and Elizabeth are not formally trained in any area, least of all melee combat.  While their more than powerful magic is capable of filling these holes in their defense to some extent, it's still a glaring enough weakness that someone who has trained can easily overpower them if their magic is shut down, or otherwise interrupted at a key moment.
Personality:  Due to over ten years of some form of abuse or another, and of living on the streets for almost half that time, Justin and Elizabeth had to become hard, dispassionate individuals to survive a cold, cruel world that had no love nor warmth for either of them.  While they're still able to find joy in the finer things they've gotten mere tastes of since finding their way to Dracula and his forces, nothing brings them true joy save for the occasional slaughter of innocent bystanders, or burning down churches wherever they go.  Still, the love they have for each other is unquestionable, and while they might go out of their way to protect each other, their sibling love goes no further than that.  Having said that, despite their usual single minded dedication to the cause of subjugating, if not totally destroying, all of humanity for all of the evil they'd perpetrated against them, let alone against the world at large, Justin and Elizabeth are still human, with very 'human' needs which they aren't afraid to pursue, allowing their otherwise suppressed emotions to fully bloom and bubble forth once more before almost as quickly shutting down once more.  It's during these rare outbursts of genuine emotion that they're at their most unpredictable and dangerous, but also their most reckless.

Despite their otherwise mundane, seemingly frail appearances, their hatred for the rest of their kind has only grown stronger with age the more they've learned about the world, seeing their own kind as a disease that needs to be excised, at the very least most of humanity deserves nothing but extermination, keeping only enough to ensure the creatures of the night have a viable, eternally sustainable food source.  As cattle at least, they'd have a purpose outside of their otherwise simple, pointless lives.  Not only that, but they have a VERY strong dislike for anything resembling religion, seeing it as one of the prime reasons why humanity has become so corrupt as they have.  While they know that they're biased due to their time in a Catholic ran orphanage in downtown New York, that hasn't stopped them from reaching their 'logical' conclusion that such authority and control has only led to those unable to think for themselves to be led like lambs to the slaughter for countless generations.  And as far as God is concerned, if he DOES exist, he is an uncaring, cold, distant father figure who deserves nothing but contempt.  As such, they're quite unapologetic about the evil deeds they perform in order to create a 'pure' world order, devoted to the night....
Background Information:  Justin and Elizabeth were left on the doorstep of a Catholic orphanage, run by a bunch of frigid old women and callous old men.  Those few young priests and priestesses of the church were too terrified of upsetting their superiors to ever question their so called 'divine commands', and so it left them and the other orphans open to all kinds of subtle manipulations and abuse by those same senior members of the church that they were constantly surrounded by.  The corruption in their downtown New York orphanage was bad enough that instead of vetting any 'families' looking to adopt any of the children, they were practically sold off with a smile to the highest bidder.  So it was that Justin and Elizabeth were handed over to a 'kindly' couple that were quite cruel and abusive in their own right.  Elizabeth soon developed a case of almost crippling claustrophobia from all the times she wound up locked in the 'Mr. and Mrs. Addison's' closet, or in the dark, often lightless basement, while Justin found himself constantly nursing broken bones and cuts upon his person when they weren't putting their cigarettes out on him, and all for the crime of trying to free his sister in most cases.  When they weren't cowering in fear of the Addisons' 'tender love and care', they often stayed up late at night when they could, plotting their eventual escape and what they'd do when they were old enough to take care of themselves.  That time would come sooner than either of them were really ready for when they were having dinner together with their 'parents', with Justin trying very hard not to draw the attention of their mother who had been hitting her bottles of alcohol pretty heavily that night.  It was not to be however as a loud noise in the next room startled him, causing Justin to drop his plate of half eaten food to the ground.  Standing to his feet in a hurry to grab a towel, to try and fix the mistake, Mrs. Addison, never Marie or 'mom', it was always 'Mrs. Addison' to them, picked up her steak knife, and by some perverse miracle, managed to carve out a large gash in his stomach after throwing it across the table.

Elizabeth swears up and down to this day that his guts were hanging out by the time an ambulance arrived, most of the floor covered in blood, but Justin couldn't tell you for sure if that was the case.  He only remembers waking up in a hospital bed, his stomach sewn back together, with Elizabeth slumped over his side of the bed.  Once he was able to walk again without pulling the stitches too badly, they ran off, never looking back.  They were twelve years old at the time, far too smart for their own good, and too full of hatred to ever be 'normal' without years of therapy, which they never got.  What they found during the next few years was more of the same, with people stepping on them if they got in their way, if not trying to actively kill them for whatever meager possessions they had on them.  That they're alive and their would be adversaries weren't says all that needs to be said about their strength and trust in the other.  Their chances drastically improved however when Elizabeth...sensed something one stormy fall evening, which led her and Justin to a hidden magical sanctuary in an abandoned coal mine far from New York, having since made their way to the edge of Chicago, Illinois by stealing money, food, and supplies wherever they could.  Once they had translated the ancient texts through a combination of their own genius intellect and their sheer determination, the twins soon discovered they had a nearly innate talent for the magical arts.  It'd take another three years for them to attain a level of mastery that would allow them to harness the powers that would eventually lead them to Dracula himself.

Finding the location of Castlevania's final resting place since 1999 took the longest, oddly enough, but once they had made their way there, it didn't take long for them to break the seals keeping it and the lord of darkness contained.  Having already had some success in manipulating the very fabric of reality, Justin and Elizabeth, with Dracula's massive library of arcane texts and far more besides, were able to transport Castlevania not only across space, as it normally did, but across time, across realities themselves to gather an army for the dark lord to totally subjugate every world he set his eyes on, starting with their own.  Now they've returned, and in only three weeks, they've come a very long way together.  Committed fully to the task, and with Dracula's trust at their back, Justin and Elizabeth are going to see their world brought down.  Even if it takes the rest of their lives, they're going to tear it all down and piss on the ashes for good measure....

Additional Notes:  They're still teenagers, of a sort, if at the very least young adults, and as such, they're still learning what they like those few times they allow their emotions to bubble forth.  As such, they're more than open to new experiences, so much so Elizabeth has had a few piercings added to her person, while Justin has a couple of tattoos on his back and right arm.  She also has a tattoo with her brother's name written in a black heart tattoo on the small of her back.

Elizabeth has a metallic stud in her tongue, two ring nipple piercings with a connecting, thin metalic chain between them, and a clit piercing for good measure.  Her brother has a curling snake tattoo on his right arm, a snake eating its own tail to be precise, with a gothic heart with his sister's name written in its black center, located between his shoulder blades.  Both are, somehow, still virgins currently....

If someone wants to know the twins, you're more than free to do so, but these are more just NPCs meant to drive the story forward is all.  :D

I'll try to iron mine out later tonight if I can, or tomorrow. I've got most of it worked out, just trying to find the time to put finishing touches on it.

Feel free to PM it to me and Vergil when you do finish, or even post it up here. We will Pm you any tweaks or details that need ironing out (if there are any). <3

And while they're really NPCs meant to help the story push forward, the Twins are complete.  They're also free for relationship connections/friendships/etc, so feel free to write them into your profiles if you so desire.  Just clear it with myself and Serenade first is all.  :D

While we'd greatly appreciate an Alucard and a Trevor Belmont before getting this started, it's NOT a requirement by any means.  We can just as easily NPC them if the need arises, but we'd rather we not have to.  That aside, as with the twins, we're happy to have people directly tied to Dracula in some fashion or another, we simply ask myself and SweetSerenade first is all.  See ya!

Name:  Lord Vlad Dracula Tepes
Gender: Male
Age: 921 years old.  (Likely older.)
Canon/OC:  Canon.  (Anime based)
Alignment:  The master of evil, therefore a VILLAIN!
Race:  Elder vampire
Sexual Orientation:  Straight
Appearance:  Having been born into nobility a little over a thousand years ago, Dracula, once known as Mathias, still dresses the part to some extent, favoring rich, jet black capes and vestments with an often times red tint to the underside of his long, bat like cape.  Long, tall boots that reach up to his knees completes the overall noble ensemble, but beneath his prim and proper if Gothic attire, lies a savage predator with a taste for human blood.  He is a giant among even his Viking captain, Godbrand, and his men, standing at a near seven feet tall, with a large, very compact and sturdy build, making him very imposing at any distance.  Artfully combed, vibrant if dark brown hair frames his handsome, bearded face which ends in a single point at the bottom of his chin, with two brown eyes that have a tendency to turn red when he's exceptionally angry or in need of a 'drink', sometimes both as is often the case.  While he is capable of much cruelty and hatred against the whole of mankind, Dracula otherwise carries himself with respect for those who has earned it, often seen with a thoughtful frown if not a flicker of a smile on his face that is, normally for the uninitiated, quite the unnerving sight.  There was once a time however that he was capable of far more human like emotions, even love, but that 'man' has died a long time ago, drowned forever in bloody tears that still, VERY rarely, run down his face when he thinks no one else is around....
Skills/Magic/Abilities:  The perfect predator - Dracula has fully embraced his 'curse' of vampirism, meaning that even among elder vampires who have achieved a level of strength and speed to make the gods tremble, he is a step above even them in nearly every way imaginable.  Even at his weakest, he is far stronger than most could ever hope to match.  The only thing that holds him back is his desire for a 'fair' fight, only using as much force as is required to take care of a problem or a troublesome opponent in front of him, which are few and far between.  Only someone on the Belmonts' level of skill and strength can ever hope to match him with any regularity, everyone else are mere pests to be squashed at his convenience.

Master sorcerer - While he has a vast preference for fire and its manipulation, to such an extent that he can create gigantic meteors at will, let alone gigantic walls of flame and fireballs that explode violently, he is more than capable of focusing his powers in other ways that either allow him to teleport at will, transform himself into various animals or monstrous creatures, or to use any number of spells involving scrying mirrors, moving his fortress of a castle to wherever he desires, if not outright ripping open portals to other planes altogether, including but not limited to the Chaos Realm.  He's also able to raise an army of devils, demons, and nightmarish creatures as he desires, conjuring forth great hosts of creatures in a few short weeks, and those few he can't he has his fellow minions and allies conjure forth through their various abilities.

Master tactician - Having been the brains behind countless military assaults during his human days, that master level intellect is still very much at work in this much more modern day.  He inherently knows how to plan a siege, a brief assault, or an outright war to the very last detail, and while his knowledge is largely based around the castle warfare of his time, that doesn't mean he's incapable of adapting to more modern tactics.  Indeed, he's quite capable of doing that and far more, he just needs time and an understanding of what his enemies are capable of.

Neverending Cycle of Rebirth - Due to a number of things he's done to himself, the least of which was enhancing his vampiric nature through alchemical processes that even master alchemists could never hope to match again, Dracula can never TRULY be destroyed without some very complicated work first.  He simply comes back, normally once a generation, stronger and smarter than ever, making him an ever evolving threat for future generations to contend with.  While it IS possible to break this cycle of rebirth, no one has figured out how to break it as of yet, although some of the Belmonts and his own son has come very close a few times.

Charismatic - Most vampires can't be in the same room together with others of their kind without mistrust and paranoia guiding them to trying to destroy each other before they themselves end up dead.  Dracula's force of personality, presence, reputation, and more besides makes him a palpable force of nature, to the point that his mere presence in a room can unite even the most fearful of his people into a single cohesive whole.  There might still be infighting within his court, but no one's stupid enough to get caught while the Dark Lord of the Night is around, such his is power.

Castlevania - His dread fortress, his ancient seat of power, the castle that can move across the very land, is every bit as legendary as Dracula himself, who has complete mastery over the grounds and everything within its walls.  Every time he returns, Castlevania changes, evolves, and becomes bigger and more deadly with every reincarnation, becoming a labyrinth of traps, its halls riddled with monstrous creatures and nightmarish abominations, but also profound sorrow and anguish since there are rooms, few and far between, that no one dares to tread upon.  Rooms connected to Dracula and his reasons for wanting to subjugate all of humanity under his indomitable rule.  Those who DO dare to open one such chamber, such as into his wife, Lisa's, room, or into his son's, Alucard, (both of which haven't been disturbed in centuries), risks bringing the castle's wrath down upon themselves, and that is saying nothing about Dracula's wrath, which is every bit as deadly as the master vampire's castle has proven to be to countless would be explorers.  When the castle needs to protect itself, the malevolent magic woven into every stone is able to take on a form of its own, becoming sucking pools of 'blood', that can corrupt and change any into its willing slaves, assuming it doesn't just choose to outright tear them apart for daring to wrest control away from it, or its Dark Prince.  (Lord of Shadows 2 AND anime based.)
Flaws:  Bloody Tears - Having lost his loving wife, Lisa, to humans that thought her a witch and thus they had her killed, not because she was a genuine danger to innocent people, but simply because the Bishop of the area at that time saw her as a threat to the Roman Catholic Church's power, Dracula is still in eternal anguish over her loss, which has only increased thanks to having nearly killed his own son twice now.  He still loves his son, his little Alucard, but his pain has grown to insurmountable hatred against God, humanity, and the world at large.  Thus, his war will continue to rage on.  Even so, certain triggers make it so that he is unable to fight, consumed by his sorrow and a normally buried desire to die, permanently, freeing him of his hatred and loss at long last.

"What is a man?  A miserable little pile of secrets!" - When he isn't weakened by his own pain, Dracula has little love left for mankind, and he especially hates the Roman Catholic Church, which has not changed much at all from its far humbler beginnings during his time as a mortal man.  While holy weapons on par with the Morningstar Whip and the Vampire Killer hurt him still, his anger against faith of any kind is such that he goes out of his way to destroy most churches and chapels he comes across, and for those foolish enough to wave a cross or some other religious symbol in his face, he destroys them first, sometimes purposely dragging it out to savor their screams as he makes them denounce their 'God'.  This leaves him rarely blind to the world around him if he's pushed far enough.

Berserker - Normally, Dracula is controlled, poised, and capable of using his mind to dismantle a problematic opponent before they even have a chance.  But when his anger and rage has bubbled forth, Dracula can become an unstoppable, but unthinking, juggernaut of destruction.  While he's far stronger during such times, he's also far more easily manipulated as a result.

Still but a man - For all of his power, for all of his strength, both human and vampire alike, Dracula is still but a man, prone to the same shortcomings as everyone else.  Arrogance, overconfidence, sorrow, he's just as liable to mistakes as anyone, and just as liable to losing a fight due to these moments of weakness.  The trick is making him vulnerable in the first place, which is no easy task for anyone, save but a very select few....
Personality:  Most days, despite his overwhelming hatred for all mankind that were 'born under God's light', Lord Vlad Dracula Tepes, is every bit a respectful nobleman of a bygone age as can be expected given his far darker nature due to centuries as a blood sucking vampire.  Most days, when he's not waging bloody, endless war upon the world, he's content to read through his massive collection of books, learning new things, seeing the great wonders of the world, even if he can't walk in the sun ever again.  True, he wants to completely subjugate and perhaps exterminate all of humanity should they prove too much to handle, but that doesn't mean he can't still marvel at their creations, to see how far they've come over the long centuries he's been 'alive'.  He has a profound respect for them, more so than most of his kind, who only see them as livestock and cattle to be fed upon and controlled and toyed with at a mere whim.  If he needs ANY example of how capable and strong humanity can become, he needs not look further than the Belmonts and the Belnades, the former of which have proven countless times able to combat his unimaginable power again, and again, and again, killing him just as many times in many worlds separate from his own, he's recently discovered thanks to Justin and Elizabeth's aid in breaching the dimensional divides.  Even so, he is far from tired of the fighting and the bloodshed, having been reinvigorated in a way thanks to these two humans, who share so much of his own pain in their own rights, sharing his hatred for the rest of humanity as an added bonus.  They're so much like Hector and Isaac in that regard, except he gets the impression they will never betray him, or seek their own petty vengeance against the other.

That aside, his personality and mere presence is enough that everyone who has allied with him of their own accord are often in awe, respect, and terror of the man who is a legend, and is fully willing to use his reputation as yet another tool in his bid to control the world.  Not only that, but he's surprisingly charismatic, having learned long ago how to hold a person's trust and loyalty to the day they die.  Beneath all of this however, is the most profound sorrow and pain one could possibly imagine, having had to fight his own child, for the fate of the world, such is the strength of his rage.  He couldn't do it though, he couldn't finish off his own son, and allowed Alucard to kill him, what many assumed would be the last time at the time.  It wasn't to be of course, but it was a solid effort, but one that he secretly had hoped would've stuck since then he wouldn't need to suffer any longer.  Even so, until the day comes someone finally unravels him for the last time, Dracula WILL continue his war upon all of mankind for the rest of eternity, if that's what it takes.
Background Information: Once, he was a man, a nobleman called simply Mathias Cronsqivst.  Once, he was a brilliant military tactician who fought in the Crusades for years, while secretly mastering the arts of alchemy.  He was happy, despite the bloodshed he helped orchestrate and actively took part in.  His reputation was such in those days that he was more than capable of making enemy generals fear his arrival long before he actually appeared at the head of a great host, protected by the light of God, or so many believed, himself included.  But that all changed when he, somehow, became a vampire.  Sources are not clear on the method, why, or how, only that at some point during his last appearance on the battlefield, far from home, Dracula, still Mathias at the time, was transformed into a creature of the night.  Blessed with eternal life, or cursed, depending on one's opinion, Mathias became consumed by hatred, which sustained him for many years as he prosecuted another war entirely upon the world, one against the very God he once revered.  Some say that he had been married once before, and that his wife of that time had died due to illness while Mathias had been away from home, doing God's work.  Some say he was simply turned into an evil being after his transformation into an unholy bloodsucker.  Whatever the case, Dracula was soon born, which translated into the "Son of the Dragon".  Whatever the case, he became far more powerful than his former human self could've ever imagined, but his rage against God and the world soon died, for a time, and he disappeared into his castle for many centuries, leaving his 'Vlad the Impaler' days far behind him in the process.  That didn't stop him from leaving his victims staked outside his door of course, but he didn't add to their ranks for that stretch of time either.

When Lisa came literally knocking on his door, she found a kind if isolated Dracula, who he welcomed into his home of a still fledgling Castlevania, despite his slight awkwardness in dealing with such a strong willed woman who wanted simply to become a doctor in order to help everyone else around her.  He found....happiness again, he found warmth, love, acceptance from a human, despite his inhuman nature, and he willingly let her have the run of his castle's massive library, teaching her everything he could about healing the humans that would later turn against her.  The years before her tragic demise, he sired a son, formerly named Adrian, now Alucard, who he loved dearly, although Alucard was soon discovered to be part vampire himself.  Still, that didn't matter to Dracula or Lisa, who loved him as deeply as they loved each other, and things would've gone on like this, if not for the Bishops' 'godly' act of 'purging a dangerous witch' from the good people's ranks, people who DID NOTHING TO STOP THEM.  Now, centuries later, Dracula's rage and anger, his pain and grief, have fully transformed him into the Prince of Darkness that he is today, once more brought back by Justin and Elizabeth Smith, two humans who have suffered so much in their own right.  Their pain, while vastly different, is close enough to his own that he's able to sympathize and even respect their choice in seeing their own kind brought to heel, if not totally exterminated.  Naturally, once he saw proof of their power to bend the very fabric of reality as they so chose, he all too happily agreed to allow them to ally themselves with him, so that they might destroy a woefully unprepared modern world where science and technology has replaced magic and superstition, yet the Church still holds sway over the otherwise 'mindless masses' in large stretches of the world.  As such, his war continues evermore....

Additional Notes:  Those who enter into his castle as guests, especially of the vampire aristocracy, are treated and protected according to the ancient rules of guest right, meaning that as long as you don't bring harm to your lord or his guests, then you are also protected in turn.  The one who breaks guest right, are subsequently punished according to the severity of their violation of this most ancient of traditions that Dracula VERY much holds very dear to his undead heart, having come from a world that still held to such things.  His enemies, those few who are able to stand against him at least, he treats with the same respect, giving them a chance if they've somehow managed to defeat all of his minions, monsters, demons, and Castlevania itself in their bid to face him anew.  It's a tradition that was established nearly as long ago as he's been a vampire himself.  Most however, he uses only as much force and only targets those he deems worthy of his wrath that deserve his personal attention, that's required to dispose of them.

IMPORTANT UPDATE as of October 6th 2016 in A/A page

Florence

Hey, working on Victoria, but an idea for a villain character hit me. If multiple characters are cool, would a Japanese demon fit into the story?

Obviously Castlevania, despite being a Japanese property, has always focused more on Europe. But Aria of Sorrow did take place in Japan, and I imagine just because we don't focus on it in the games doesn't mean it's not going on. Not sure if the villains would recruit someone from such a far off corner from Dracula's domain, but I mean, if time's not an issue, I don't see why space would be, lol.

(I know you're looking for Trevor and Alucard, but tbh, I'm really not good with canon characters, lol. And I rarely play male characters anymore.)

Edit: Oh, and to be clear, I'd finish up on Victoria before starting work on her anyway, but I figure I'd ask and see if it'd be okay before I wasted the effort.
O/O: I was going to make a barebones F-list as a rough summary, but then it logged me out and I lost my progress, so I made a VERY barebones F-list instead: Here.

Vergil1989

We're hoping to get an even number of heroes and villains, so by all means Florence, I don't see an issue here.  :D  And while we're trying to avoid future related stuff, simply them sending someone to Japan to recruit any demons and the like is totally fine by me, and unless Serenade says otherwise, I doubt she'll say no either.  You're ONLY allowed one Hero and one Villain, but if you think you can run two characters, you're free to do so.  ;D

IMPORTANT UPDATE as of October 6th 2016 in A/A page

SweetSerenade

Though after this we will likely have to put a small hold on female characters that haven't been stated were in the process of being made. Mostly because we need to keep not just the hero and villain balance, but the male and female balance. We also can't really start the game without specific important canons, so we have time to get profiles and all sorts of stuff done, so don't stress.

QuoteWIP, but if there's any feedback, it would be appreciated.
Name: Siegfried Von Vogel
Gender: Male
Age: 127
Canon/OC: OC
Alignment: Villain
Race: Dragonkin hybrid (Human/dragon)
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Appearance:
Skills/Magic/Abilities: Enhanced creature Senses / Strength. Just like any demi-human, Siegfried has strength beyond that of a human. His strength allows for feats such as wielding a two handed sword in one hand with ease, climb buildings with his hands alone, and break bones if he can land hard blows with his bare hands. His sense of smell is precise, and his hide is tougher than any human's and mid-tier vampires, on par with top tier vampires once transformed.

Dragonkin Form. Allows Siegfried to assume his drake form, having him grow in size slightly, his body comes covered in black scales. He gains straight, talon-like nails, a tail, ice-blue eyes, and fangs. He does not have wings. He gains additional strength that puts him at the high tiers of vampires, and the scales increase his natural toughness even further. Used only in desperate situations, as is comes with a drawback and is limited in time.

Dark magic. Like any dragon, Siegfried has the ability to call upon arcane abilities. He has a dark flame breath, though he is not very good at its use as a ranged strike. However, he can use it as a localized surprise technique to catch an opponent off-guard. His more dangerous dark magic is his cursed touch, causing any in-combat strikes of hand-to-hand blows to cause the injuries he inflicts to be difficult to recover from. Particularly dangerous in his dragonkin form, as gashes caused by his claws won't heal naturally. A mark for the curse appears as an inked in dragon curled around the wound.

Skilled Swordsman. Any sword will do, though he prefers to use a two-handed broadsword, double edged. Even more skilled in the use of hand-and-a-half swords, however he likes the larger blades for intimidation factor. Skilled at short to mid ranged combat with the blade, able to chop bodies clean in half with a single strong blow. Weaker blows can still shatter bones if they connect without defense.

Mastered Hand-to-Hand. In combination with his cursed touch, Siegfried has mastered several different forms of martial arts to compliment the magic. In human form, his primary strikes are various kicks and headbutts, with useful grapple and throws within his arsenal.

Magic Sense. As an attempt to combat ranged magic, Siegfried has the ability to at the very least sense, smell, and notice magic that is used on or against him. Note that this is not anti-magic. He is also unable to sense affinity.

Flaws: Vain. Siegfried is very vain, unable to see how any hero could defeat him. His natural toughness in most situations has created an atmosphere of being unable to be harmed gravely. He can be extremely over-the-top once this happens.

Ranged Combat. He must cover the distance, as he is no good at ranged combat.

Selfish combatant. Siegfried's combat style is to fight only for himself. He wants treasures for himself, after all. However, he can still work with his allies if he sees a benifit. However, he will insist that they not get in his way when fighting, as he usually uses a large blade. Nimble opponents and mages (despite his hate for magic) are best suited for allies.

Weakened after Dragonkin Form / limit on form. His strength becomes lower, though still just above peak human levels. His speed is lowered to a similar degree, while his toughness is similarly lowered. Dragonkin form limited to four combat posts or until combat ends.

Light Magic. As a Dark Dragonskin, light magic in particular harms him greatly, and can even stun him.

Personality: Siegfried could be said to be a bit strained around humans. He dislikes them due to his past, and abhors their actions and cults. Due to the time period in which he came from, he hates all religion and religious cults. He also disdains magic, as that is one type of damage he has been unable to find a way to compensate for.

He isn't really the brooding type, and actually is quite friendly at first. He acts like a knight at times, since he comes from a time of chivalry, though this is more an act. Siegfried is able to tolerate the demi-humans because he assumes that they are or were at some point ostracized from their communities. However, due to his treatment in the past, its still hard to form a bond with him.

As a cursed individual, the dragonkin has a piece of the dragon that has stayed with him: the dragon's greed. It wasn't just for riches, but also for females. Siegfried may hate humans, but he is attracted to the females of the race, as he finds their shape and smell exotic for his kind when he's in the right mood. virgin females are even more attractive, as he finds that stealing their virginity itself aligns with the maleficent dragon he absorbed. However, his greed for worldly treasure is greater, as id the need to hide what he's obtained like an instinct.

Background Information: Siegfried is an enigma, as a warrior of Gothic decent, he was once part a family that served the Germanic tribes as a warrior leader. However, when the young swordsman was mortally wounded by a dragon, he desperately drank of it's blood and was infused with its life-energies. His blood and body were not naturally able to compensate, and the dragon decided to use Siegfried. It attempted to take over his mind and body via possession, however the boy's strong will to live overpowered the dragon and instead it consumed the creature.

Still, as a young swordsman, the boy was unable to contain all of the dragon, as its personality sometimes manifested as he grew. While he loved his people, they started to find him as strange. The boy grew slowly after that, and yet gained the strength of an adult. He outlived his tribe, though at the time there was a rumor that he had butchered them all in a blood-fueled rage when insulted beyond his nerves.

He then traveled between tribes, until they had started to settle that he was not human. He grew too slowly, and his combat prowess was different from the others that looked his age. Siegfried gained desires over the years, yet most females of the Gothic tribes were warned against him. He wasn't human, and so they were not to have sex with him. This was only exacerbated when he suppressed the dragon, but found that a piece of what made him dragonkin remained: greed.

There were many that were marred by his contempt, and just as the murder of his tribe, now a decade ago, the Gothic warrior now named Siegfried had stolen and mated with females. Many of his victims were killed, if not just because they had sex with a monster, but because it was a threat against their religion, the cult of Christianity. It would come to be his nemesis when the Romans canonized it and the religion became the State's main religion...

Damn, I like what I'm seeing so far.  I will however ask that you move your picture above your name, right align it, and shrink it down to 300.  If you don't know how to do that, we can help, one of us at least, but otherwise you've got a very good start I'd say.  I WILL however suggest that he'd be ABLE to work with others, at least to a little more of an extent than he is currently, otherwise someone might have a problem with his torching their own allies and comrades.  :P  He can still be a dick, don't get me wrong, I'd just rather avoid a messy ending is all where we can without people approving of it of course.

Myself and Serenade will be sure to do so, so thank you Nim.  :D

As for the profile, Siegfried looks far better now, so I do believe you'd be good to go if we had a character roster and OOC up currently, which we don't as we're still waiting for a couple of people to get profiles up.  While we DO have a slight disagreement on the matter, Serenade would greatly aprpeciate having a Trevor Belmont, (based mostly on the anime but as with all canons, whoever takes up the mantle can make what alterations they deem fitting so long as the source material is easily recognizable), along with an Alucard.  Me, I'd be happy if we get enough people to make this whole affair worth it in the first place.  That aside, we DO need an even balance of male and females, as well as heroes and villains, so if you or anyone else are able to do two characters, one for each side, then you're more than free to do so.

And again thank you Nim, I'll try to remember to do that moving forward whenever the opportunity arises of course.  :D

xP We can't really do anything without a Belmont with the Vampire Killer. It's kind of a requirement... and Alucard would be fun to have because I have Sypha and I want Alucard for Sypha to be sassy at. But we do indeed need a balance of male and female. <3

I wonder if we can get a count, at this point, so we can look into how many H vs V and females vs males that we have?
A/A's -Updated 7/6/15, O/O's

Storyline NPCS are equally balanced. Male and Female, Hero and Villain. Except Dracula who is just required for the story so shouldn't count either way towards character counts.

There is a finished female Hero PC profile, and male profile. Finished female villain PC profile in Camilla.  We also have been told of at least three, or four female Hero PC that people are working on.

No... I didn't. The female Hero turned in is Sypha, the Male Hero is Hector. The Female Villain is Carmilla/Camilla. >.> There is several female characters in the plans according to others, somewhere closer to 4 or 5... SO yeah xD

Well, I can help on that front, at any rate!

Edit: I mean, technically, the character idea I had would be a shapeshifter, so I mean... But she like... identifies as a woman, and primarily takes the shape of a woman.
O/O: I was going to make a barebones F-list as a rough summary, but then it logged me out and I lost my progress, so I made a VERY barebones F-list instead: Here.

SweetSerenade

I'm kind of someone in the camp that whatever someone primarily identifies as is their defined sex/gender for the ratio balances. We currently have a large interest in female characters, but a very limited interest in males. We also need villains for the story, but need a couple of other characters just to really have a good 'team' going. It's not Castlevania in a massive crossover without some more canons, and I'd like to see some more simply for the fact that I feel they add more depth to the story. :3

But it's ok if you can't do a canon, but if we could technically get people to make one male and female character - and one hero or villain character, we can come close to maintaining balance. But until we equalize on males.... xD Not much we can do.

Bakemono Shiki RP(Lovely Siggy Layout is thanks to Amaris)

Vergil1989

While I agree wholeheartedly with Serenade that we need more men, hopefully at least a Trevor Belmont, my own request, if I were to make one, would be Zobek, the Lords of Shadow version of Death himself, essentially.  Specifically, his second, far more modern iteration, because between his apparent riches and his unquestionable power, he'd be a very nice addition to either side.  Having said that, I'd prefer he were helping the heroes myself, but again that's just me.  ;D

We've included some rules to consider, as well as a few kinks that WON'T be allowed at all.  Please read through them when you guys get the chance.  Thanks!

EDIT:  Added a note about posting length in the rules.  Please take a note of it.  :D

Well, that's irritating. I, too, had a female character concept in mind...

Vergil1989

You could always make a a secondary character for the other side that's female, so long as one's a guy.  Assuming of course you're willing to play two people, but if not, then hopefully someone else will take up the slack a bit on the men we kinda need to keep things relatively balanced.  We want a good group of people, but we want this to last as well, so having too many of one thing typically doesn't seem to end well for groups.

It's not too late at all, we haven't even started yet. Have only had me and Vergil, and Nimander turn in profiles, and two players submitted in PM and are just making edits before posting.

The current submissions are

1 Female Canon Hero - Sypha - Posted - Sweet
1 Male Canon Hero - Hector - Posted - Vergil
1 Female Canon Villain - Camilla - Posted - Vergil
1 Male OC Villain - Siegfried - Posted - Nimander
1 Female OC Hero - Victoria Belmont - Not posted
1 Female OC Villain - Odette - Not Posted

3 Villain - 3 Hero
3 Canon - 3 OC
4 Female - 2 Male

We also have 3-4 other people who posted interest in female Heroes who need to turn in profiles for getting added to roster, though we will have to do some picking and choosing. We won't count someone towards the overall count till they are posted, but even if we don't count the 'interested' parties... we are still imbalanced on the male/female ratio, even if we have managed to balance out our Hero/Villain.

Bah don't worry about it Florence, truly.  :D  We haven't gotten started yet, but once you at least get your people together we'll start getting the OOC and roster threads going, and hope more people will be drawn in once they see we're serious about this.  :D  Still, hope you're doing alright otherwise, and the same goes for everyone else that's been working on stuff.  See ya!

While the main IC threads, (mostly the main bases for both Castlevania and the Belmont estate barring the mission oriented threads), aren't up yet, the OOC, Character Roster, and the Side Scene threads are ready to go for anyone that's been approved.  While the Side Scene thread is more currently planned to be used to detail how Amaranth and Puck, (for the heroes), or the Twins and Dracula, (for the villains), have met with your respective characters and when/where, it'll eventually be used to give people a chance to have private scenes or the like outside of the main story so that the main story isn't bogged down with a bunch of sex and the like.  :P  Anyway, you're still more than fine to take your time on profiles, but we ARE putting things together, so I wouldn't wait TOO too long guys and gals.  See ya!

Or you can look for art that is related to her being 18 or older, have her grown up for two years(at least) after the events of her story, and just have her get locked up while an adult. xD

I believe it's the traditional way, bit, drained almost to death, and then given the blood of a vampire so that you'll rise again for the rest of eternity.  You can also be born to a human parent and a vampire parent, inheriting most if not all of a vampire's strengths and few if any of their weaknesses, save of course for the thirst and a slight to severe allergy to sunlight.  Hope that helps Doc.  :D

Chantarelle

Name: Celeste
Gender: Female
Age: can’t remember
Canon/OC: Original Character
Alignment: Evil
Race: Succubus
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Appearance: human form: https://m.imgur.com/a/SXnD8Mx demon form: https://m.imgur.com/a/zZ5yYCQ
Skills/Magic/Abilities: Bats: the ability to summon demonic vampire bats to do her bidding. With razor sharp claws and teeth they can shred a victim or cause confusion and panic as they cluster together to attack. She can summon as little or as many as she wills.
Allure: Morrigan moves with a preternatural grace which catches her victims off guard. Her voice is as relaxing as trickling waters to ease men into a pliable state. When she is around, every male eye notices her and feels drawn to her making it all the more easy to feed.
Soul Leaching: Morrigan draws energy from her victim through sexual touch. She has the the skill to restrain herself from killing a victim but rarely uses it. When she is hungry is when she is her most weakest and I’ll-tempered.
Multiplicity: Can duplicate herself. Can only create two other physical copies of herself, these copies do not have the same powers as the original.
Flight:when in her winged demonic form Morrigan can fly.
Balls of fire: The ability to create orbs of fire with her hands. Helpful in lighting dark passages or hurling them at enemies.
Flaws:  Vanity: She is the poster child for narcissism.
Dislike of other females: she looks down upon others of her sex but can play nicely until she is angered.
Weak in hand to hand combat: She can fight but her body is made for love not war, she’s just rather let her bats do all the work.
Mad temper: when she becomes angry she looses her cool becoming almost maniacal.
Personality: Ambitious, calculating and borderline crazy, Morrigan likes to be the center of attention in most situations. When she is hungry her temper can flare and her powers are diminished. Oppositely, when she has had her fill is when she is at full strength causing her to be disinterested if not erroneous in her judgement. To make sure this doesn’t happen she tries to make it a habit to only take what energy she needs.
Background Information
Morrigan was born from the union of the demons Belial and Se-rah, the first unholy union to bear a child in eons. No one knew exactly what to expect from such a child but an eye was kept on her as she grew into her powers and she began interacting with the world.

Morrigan proved to be insatiable in her lusts, leaving a trail of emaciated corpses in her wake as she frolicked in absolute abandon upon the earth. She knew nothing of balance, mercy or discretion. It wasn’t long before her licentious appetites resulted in the death of a prominent Marquis.

Because of this, as punishment, the family of the man, a clan which knew powerful magics banished Morrigan to a pocket dimension just above the mortal coil. There she was kept alone and hungry for a length of time so immense that she was driven half mad by loneliness, her anger and hatred the only thing feeding her as she seemed to waste away into eternity.

She spent her endless days watching humanity below her through the glassy waters that stretched far off into the distance, an added factor to her suffering.; she could see but could not touch, could not interact. She watched as humanity advanced their ‘civilizations’ by committing all types of atrocities against each other through war and conquest. The way they diseased their own planet while at the same time considering themselves victims of the universe was ludicrous and insulting to Morrigan’s sensibilities. The images were haunting and served to fuel her disdain for the lower beings even more so than when she was first expelled.

One day while walking the perimeter of her plane of existence her world was suddenly rendered in two, blackness devoured her and she felt like she was falling, a feeling that excited more than terrified her. This was at least new.

Vergil1989

Understandably I get that she's a WIP there Chant, but she DOES need to be able to work with her fellow creatures of the night.  :P  She can certainly be against other women, but as we told Nim regarding his dragon guy, you still need to be able to set it aside just enough to be able to work well within a 'team' of sorts.  If nothing else a willingness to work within the ranks of Dracula's army.

The only other thing I'd be worried about is the scale of her powers.  You could be MUCH stronger if you so wished, giving Morrigan magic ability or something to go with her natural allure and the like.  Just throwing that out there.  Otherwise her personality could use a fair bit more.  Beyond that we're happy to have you, just get the edits done when you can.  Take care!

Six abilities, four flaws just so we're clear, and the scale of each of her abilities/powers/skills can be greater than what you currently have.  Otherwise her flaws are fairly straightforward but they work well enough, although most of everyone else's flaws are a combination of physical or magical drawbacks rather than a list of character defects.  Lol as I said, they WORK, but if you can think of anything more directly related to her abilities and such, that'd work out better is all.  Regardless, you're more than welcome Chant!

Actually, I would like to request a change in character name, because it may become confusing with another character that interacts on the Fae side of things. The Morrigan, Morrigan, or The Morrigu, is the Celtic Goddess of Death and Battle, which is one of the entities that charged the gathering of heroes. <3 If we could possibly do a name change so the character and the Goddess don't get confused - that would be appreciated. It could cause a slew of IC and OOC confusions. <3

Other than that the character seems to be forming up well.

Powers and flaws are fine, but you SHOULD go through your whole profile and change every Morrigan to the new name you picked out, Celeste, just so it's clear and there isn't a chance for confusion later.  Otherwise I think she's good to go beyond still being a bit limited in your power use from what I can see.  Having said that, the bats she's able to summon?  Maybe she can use them to obscure herself from enemy attack, shield herself with them, things of that nature?  Her ability to multiply?  You can go a step further and allow her copies to do all of the things she can, but if they were to feed, the accumulated energy would still go to the original.  Basically I'm saying GO CRAZY!  Lol seriously, stretch all of your abilities as far as you can because everyone else will be doing the same within their respective skillsets.  Lol that aside, you're good to go unless SweetSerenade says otherwise.  :D

I'm still on board, Verge! It's just been a hell of a passing couple of weeks and my presence on E has been spotty at best. I got some catching up to do first but I have the makings of what I want to try messing with in my mind thus far. Just need to actually convey it in sheet format.

Assuming they're still interested, we're still waiting on several people yet Florence, so don't sweat it, truly.  With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I'd not be surprised if those same people ended up popping up after this latest holiday.

Yurie, Gardsorm, Brittiby, GrayDreamer, Kathyan, and anyone else that's shown interest, you're still free to get profiles together, but if you can't or no longer wish to do so, let us know is all we ask.  :D

Yeah I'll do my best to work something up next couple days, but I'm probably not gonna get to it tonight or tomorrow (cause of the holiday).

With mentions of the Brotherhood of Light and the fact you've used music from Lords of Shadow, is it safe to assume you're using lore and such more from the soft reboot rather than the 'canon' series?  I'm merely curious, but while I'll have to consult with Serenade, I like what I see so far.  You're not approved just yet, but you look to have a pretty good grasp of things already.

O/O: I was going to make a barebones F-list as a rough summary, but then it logged me out and I lost my progress, so I made a VERY barebones F-list instead: Here.

Kathyan

Name: Charlotte Aulin
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Canon/OC: Canon (Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin)
Alignment: Heroine
Race:  Human
Sexual Orientation:  Bisexual
Appearance
Charlotte's a somewhat short young girl with long brunette hair, deep blue eyes and beautifully fair skin. Quite attractive to the view she has had a generous development over the course of the last two years but still keeps a naive and cute look on a face that not even her know-it-all attitude can change.

She wears an scholar outfit and a matching short blue cape, although her outfit has been customized to be quite scanty and lecherous with a short skirt that can hardly conceal her shapely thighs and tight ass and stockings that further accentuate her enticing figure. She claims it is because of comfort and practicality but it is unclear to most just how can that be truth. Her shirt does a good job at keeping her breasts in its place although it has troubles to be discreet at it and the handkerchief she keeps at her neck to keep her cleavage out of sigh actually works in the opposite way as it actually makes each of tits even more notorious as it hangs between them.
Skills/Magic/Abilities:
Transmutation: While one might think that a girl carrying nothing but a book is completely defenseless they would be wrong about Charlotte, with her magic she can transform one thing into other, albeit only temporarily, but more than enough to defend herself in close combat. Sheets of paper can became shields, written words can became swords and with a little more concentration she can even bestow limited conscience to objects and even simulate life. There are times she has even transformed herself or Jonathan into other beings but this leaves her completely vulnerable while it lasts.

Elemental Mastery: Pyrokinesis, Hydrokinesis, Cryokinesis, Electrokinesis are some of the abilities she can use. Having mastered this allows her to use any of them albeit just in the most forms only still needing a tome focused in a proper element to unleash true destructive power.

Healing Powers: Channeling her magic though a holy tome Charlotte can heal light wounds at easy and more serious injury given enough but she can also cure ailment like poison, curses and diseases as long as she has a sample of what caused the ailment. If they are willing she can also return heal vampirism too.

Bookish: having spent most of her young life reading books and inside of libraries Charlotte has acquired what some would say are the basic skills of a librarian, cataloging, organizing and of course researching and coding and decoding techniques that help finding books (or other objects or pieces of information) in any library or in a similarly organized system. She is also knowledgeable about old books and is familiar with folklore and artifacts of legend.

Multilingual: While she is not the most sociable person in the world nor has she traveled to many countries Charlotte still knows to speak a huge amount of languages. Granted, most of them are dead tongues that are required to read ancient tomes and magical books but she also speaks the languages of neighboring countries of central, eastern and southern Europe.

Secret Potential: It has been said by the church that she is the final weapon against Dracula but it has never been cleared out as to how she can release such potential or how she can use it. Until now it remains a mystery to her as this does not refer to the spells she has learned over the years but being that she has no other abilities that could prove useful against the lord of vampires she doesn't know what to think or where to look for answers. At first she thought it could this could be related to her family lineage so she made tests using her own blood on lesser vampires but with no result at all, she never thought of using other bodily fluids though. It is also unclear if by referring Dracula it was meant that this power could be used against any vampire or just particularly against Dracula himself, if the latter was truth it could be taken advantage by other vampires who seek to overthrow him.

Flaws
Physically unskilled: Sure she is just a human will all the vulnerabilities this means when facing the creatures of the night but on top of that she never has had any physical training at all and has always depende on her magic to do everything. Charlotte is just a simple and vulnerable human no mater her unknown secret potential but she also has barely any physical skills at all and has troubles even reaching high cabinets or shelves or jumping over short gaps without depending on magic or else's help.

Tome dependency: While she has great magic power and can cast very powerful and complex spells Charlotte always depends on magical tomes to cast her spells. She might not need to actually read said books in the case of most simple spells but she still channels her magic through written words so she is always carrying at least one grimoire with her.

Slow spellcasting: While it is true that Charlotte holds great magical power and that she doesn't exhaust as much as other magicians do is it also truth that she also takes longer than usual to cast her magic. Needing the right book is already an issue for that but she still has to focus her energy to draw the power enclosed in arcane writings to do her bidding. The most simple and basic attacks hold no issue at all but when she faces a situation that requires a particular powerful spell of above of the ordinary precision she might take twice as long or ever more than usual to achieve such feat. Jonathan usually protects her while she is at it so she has never had to worry about it before though.

Busybody: Her thirst for knowledge is mostly focused but not limited to books and Charlotte enjoys sticking her noses in other people's business and give advice on how they should proceed according to her own limited points of view. Meddling into stranger's affair has most often than not caused her troubles but just as with her feelings this is something that is far beyond her own control.

Personality:
Charlotte is intelligent but she is overconfident in her books and knowledge she has read limiting her points of view and decisions, she might take a little too long to act as she goes over all the information she has on a subject before choosing a course of action. She takes a logical approach to everything which makes her seem rather unemotional at times and has troubles being empathic towards others, this is true to a lesser degree with Jonathan but still something that hinder any potential relationship between them, yet she is still very helpful and kind and very talkative as well. In fact she likes to talk a lot in any given situation sometimes because she really wants to help as she meddles into others business but some others because she just wants to show off that she is quite knowledgeable. After her encounter with Stella and Loretta she became even more kinder and opened her heard to the possibility that vampires can be saved of the terrible fate that curses them.

Always taking a logical approach to everything Charlotte also trusts more in things she can count and organize and measure than in feelings and emotions and while that doesn't prevent her from developing and showing her feelings, in fact she can become quite excited when finding a new book to read, she never stops to think about her own feelings and if confronted with them she would have a hard time admitting them. Having grown with Jonathan since childhood she is used to see him more like a big brother than as something else but that's because the right situation has never happened for her to explore her true feelings towards him.

Background Information
Charlotte is affiliated to the church but not even she with all the books and documents she has read has access to all the information there is or to the truth of the whole history behind the lord of vampires and his crusade against humanity. She was told though that she was to be the final weapon to finally finish his never ending cycle of evil once and for all but the manipulative clergy never told her how she could unleash her true potential most probably because they had some plans to use her but they just made her believe that they didn't know and that she had to discover this truth by herself. To this end she joined with her childhood friend and inheritor of the legendary Vampire Killer in the mission of looking the castle of Dracula and defeating him.

They were able to find it and after Jonathan discovers how to unleash the power of the whip they together are able to defeat Dracula although not definitively, knowing that he will come again to haunt mankind Charlotte begins some research and experiments attempting to discover her secret potential with the help of Stelle and Loretta. It is in this short time that Charlotte has a small affair with the twin sisters although one that ends abruptly as her research goes unsuccessful. Not admitting her own feelings but also doing it for a greater good Charlotte continues her travels in the look for answers.

Who would have thought that after two years of searching her quest would bring her back to the place where the castle was, she found out that Brauner could have clues about what she was looking for. Given his lack of loyalty towards Dracula it was not hard to believe that he was also investigating how to bring him to a definitive end but when Charlotte was researching into the left ashes she didn't expect to find a frameless canvas, one that engulfed her and Jonathan before being blown away by the wind to be lost and forgotten for over a century.

Hey all. Just wanted to pop in to say I'm still here. Holidays in central FL are... challenging and I've been working some long hours.

In addition, I'm have trouble with my character. I've run through a few drafts and his circumstances would either have driven him insane, reducing him to a whimpering pool of a human, or making him completely unbelievable. I'll keep at it or maybe try something different.

I'll take any system at this point but I have a clear bias on how I want to proceed, haha. Namely PS4 = Switch > whichever I didn't get first > X-Box. All comes down to the games I want, really.

Also getting ready to slowly start crafting a sheet. Wanted to ask:

1) Devil Forgemasters, are they required to be human, or can they have once been human?
2) I don't intend to depart too much from the concept of what they did in CoD, though I might make new creations for each type in order to let our Hector keep the originals. Would this be acceptable?
3) Trying to think of other questions but I just woke up and can't imagine them.  :P So far I have an idea for a rather scholarly/knowledge-seeking Devil Forgemaster who's mostly given up on humanity and seeks to invoke evolution in willing (and maybe unwilling?) survivors to bolster Dracula's forces. Almost a medieval/supernatural scientist in a way with fondness for the occult.
4) I thiiiink that's all I have for now as far as queries go. x_x

Vergil1989

While I think it's implied Devil Forgemasters are typically human due to the very nature of their strange craft, I don't think there's anything outright saying they have to be merely human, so you're free to go either way with that in mind.  And since he's into evolving stuff, rather than simply mass producing, although I imagine Hector can do the same thing once he realizes what your guy's doing, I can easily see his Innocent Devils being different.  Besides, every person is unique anyway, and while there might be certain types and a limited number at that in the game, doesn't mean you have to stick with those, so long as they aren't anything too crazy lol.  So I'm not seeing a problem here honestly.  ;D

I don't see why they can't, so yes.  :D  Oh I understand there's myths that say otherwise, but not all of them are true and the ones that are seem more to do with holy and regular water, stakes through the heart, and even then the regular water thing could be circumnavigated to an extent since a Viking vampire is able to sail a boat, and even take baths.  So yes, for the purposes of this I'd say yes.

IMPORTANT UPDATE as of October 6th 2016 in A/A page

Gardsorm

Very much heavily work in progress, but putting this up so I can slowly crack away at it! I'm not out of the running yet, just started pushing myself back into activity on E.

WIP Sheet

Name: Nicholas
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Canon/OC: OC
Alignment: Villain
Race: Half-Demon Devil Forgemaster
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Appearance: (Left pic is past appearance, right is present) At first glance a very unassuming person, Nicholas stands at a height of 5'7 with a head of semi-long blue hair going just far enough past his chin. His eyes are initially observed to be a more normal green, at least until one starts realizing they can pulse with an otherworldly glow. His build is rather lithe and lean, seemingly not someone who engages in strenuous physical activity, though he is not above performing light exercise.

His true appearance tends to unsettle average humans much more, possessing a pair of curled horns, small wings that are still sturdy enough to afford him flight, and a spaded tail not unlike that of a demon. At one point human, Nicholas has since given up on his humanity and chosen a more 'ideal' form to survive in the future.
Skills/Magic/Abilities:

Devil Forgemaster - Though not serving Dracula directly before this part of his life, Nicholas took to the art of Devil Forging quite well. At first it was innocent, making little more than friends to keep him company, but over the years as his outlook twisted, so too did his craft. Now he makes minions simply to protect locations, deter alloes, or assist others. However, he possesses his own slew of Innocent Devils as well, a more dangerous and utterly loyal variety of entity capable of being brought to life by him. These are his personal vanguard, his closest friends and trusted allies... However, the slip through time has made it difficult for him to recall a proper pact with them, and so must earn his contract with them once more in an unfamiliar time.

Arcane Ability - The average Devil Forgemaster possesses a good physical form, and those beyond them stand at the pinnacle of perfection. Nicholas, however, was not as physically gifted as his equals. Instead he trained his mind and spirit, through texts, scriptures, and most importantly grimoires. His weapon of choice proves to be one such Grimoire, a book modern society has come to know as the Ars Goetia. It is also this book that lends the myriad of beings that Nicholas conjures for Dracula's army from. In addition, a number of spells make themselves available to him to afford him a means of battle alongside his Innocent Devils.

Brilliant Scientist - As inhumane as his experiments can be, one cannot deny the intellect and focus that goes into such tests. From the making, mixing, and merging of chemicals to the results they have on a myriad of different host bodies, his own included, his endeavors to pursue knowledge and evolution both in himself and humanity as a whole shine lights equally on both his brilliance and his madness.

Unbreakable Bond - As a villainous Devil Forgemaster, it's easy to assume he views all that he makes as little more than pawns and minions, and for the most part people would be right. Creative access to 72 different potential spirits and the ability to mass produce them do not weigh heavily in Nicholas mind, but when it comes to his IDs, it's a very different story. They are perhaps the closest thing he has to friends and family now, and though striking down one of his IDs means he must spend time waiting for it to regenerate, it's a very quick way to rouse anger in the man. In return his dedication to their growth and we'll being assures him thay they will never abandon him when he needs them the most.

Attentive - Nicholas did not come this far in life being too careless. Whether with the naked eye, a sensation of magic, or the aid of his IDs, he can pick up on things such as clues of an invasion, traps lying in wait, secret passageways, fitting ritual grounds, and more. He also retains information quite well, and so a surprise attack that has caught him unawares once before may be less likely to work the next time.

Continuous Advance - Success or failure in an experiment, victory or defeat in a mission, win or lose in any aspect of his life does not keep Nicholas down for long. He is a man who needs to remain in activity to always advance further, and his forward momentum is rarely stopped once he becomes motivated. The more attractive a thought, an experiment, a battle, or anything that happens to catch his eye, the more intently he'll pursue it until he's satisfied... Then he moves on to the next activity.
Flaws:
Narrow-minded - Nicholas has no more faith in humanity, writing them off as nothing but a race of servitors and foolish beings who simply work to destroy what they do not understand. He feels they are better suited to be worked on to achieve greater forms by discarding their humanity, but this leaves him prone to getting surprised by human ingenuity.

Workaholic - He toils endlessly, day and night, to achieve the nest results possible at the cost of his health and some would argue sanity. If allowed to work for too long, he can exhaust himself for more than several days at a time and be rendered into an extended comatose state, which lasts as little as half a week to a full week of time. Fortunately his lack of humanity means this isn't entirely fatal to him, but it does severely set back any preestablished time tables.

Human Rights Violator He's a bad guy, and he's always on the look out for fresh and (un)willing test subjects for experimentation. Sometimes these experiments bear fruit, sometimes they do not have the desired outcome and are instead repurposed. No matter what, Nicholas is always pleased to see how things turn out and eagerly looks forward to the next test... For better or worse.

Seeming lack of Empathy - Despite the smiles he often gives, one can feel they are perhaps the coldest smiles one will ever experience. He seems to have not an ounce of care for enemy or ally alike, simply working with the people necessary to further their ultimate goal. Only his personal Innocent Devils seem to earn any sense of care from him, an aspect rarely observed by enemies. If he shows care to anyone else, he hides this fact quite well.

Holy Arms - Due to his half-demon nature, Nicholas has invited a newfound weakness to certain holy weapons. While something akin to the Vampire Killer is not as lethal to him as the average vampire, items such as Holy Water, Holy Fire, and other such means deal much greater damage to him. His human aspectacular keeps these from being immediately fatal, but continued exposure without treatment will surely destroy him.
Personality: A studious sort, Nicholas seems to have a perpetually kind amd calm personality that is capable of instilling a sense of calmness or relaxation in others... Making his true nature. However, those of keener instincts or are often wary will feel nothing but an unsettling feeling of concern over his calm demeanor. Mistakes and setbacks do not seem inspire anger within him, or if they do, he seems to have a very high tolerance for it. His voice tends to distort the more frustrated he gets, which is the earliest sign one is causing him visible irritation.

Due to his tradecraft and his general persobality, he is often not bound by the rules and laws of others, and only seeks the laws set by his master as his guiding force. Willing or not, subjects at his hands will be played with and experimented on until he canforce a change or evolution in their being to make them 'superior' to a normal human. Often times his lack of faith in humanity csn leave him surprised at what truly determined ones can perform, but he's of the mind that anything a normal human can do, an evolved one can do better.
Background Information
Many a time ago, the period of life Nicholas likes to pretend never existed took place. A young child who often found it difficult to make friends or even fit in among others, he was always considered an oddity even among other children. Growing up did not change much for him, but over time he started to dabble in darker arts for the innocent reason of having friends who would play with him. Thus one act would forever place a stigmata on him, one that would demonize him in the eyes of humanity. An attempt was made by forces of the Church to purge the child from existence, but instead became little more than a widespread massacre between the church and innocents caught between the unholy soulbound creatures that defended Nicholas.

Over the years his craft grew stronger, unwittingly supplying loyal servants for a much darker force, to the point where it was assumed he worked in service of the famous Lord Dracula. Time and again, he was forced to relocate all across the land, eventually coming to resent humanity and what they represented. Eventually he came to understand what he was performing was the act of Devil Forging, a dark art once employed by those loyal to Dracula, now scattered to the lands and shrouded in secrecy. His acts drew surviving servants of the dark lord, who helped Nicholas refine his power for the day he would be able to join his lord in conquest of humanity. Nicholas came to understand this notion as most semblances of humanity had no place in this ideal world, and so he sought to better himself for the task... By changing himself first.

Tests were run, experiments were performed, atrocities were committed, all in the name of advancing to a higher stage, and at some point Nicholas cast away his moralities to seek this outcome by experimenting on others... Only once did he manage to perfect the outcome did he apply the fruits of his research to himself, shedding his humanity and inviting a new existence into the world through his body. No longer purely human, Nicholas was now part demon and ready for grander designs.

Unfortunately, it seemed this evolution had come a tad too late, and forces who worked against Dracula and his ilk came upon his hideout. Torched from the outside, they sought to incinerate the helllion before he could be allowed to further pervert the land with unholy abominations... What they didn't realize was that before he could be confirmed dead, unfamiliar beings brought him with them to times unknown, deciding now was time for him to truly put his skills to work for the big man himself in a period of time that was not quite ready to defend themselves from the forces of darkness, or so it seemed...
Additional Notes:
1) No worries, despite the way he works, everyone's input will be taken into account when it comes to inflicting experiments and other possible unpleasantness on people.

Not a bad work in progress so far Gards.  ;D  Given his dyed blue hair and street looking clothes, I'd imagine he's more of the modern sort of person?  It's cool if he's not, that was just the impression I got was all.  I'm eager to see the rest though whenever you get around to it.  Good luck!

I hadn't intended it, but I hadn't exactly settled on a style either! I chose that one incase he needed to hide out in modern times, more or less. =p Though at the same time I do have other pics of him with clothes more befitting earlier eras and the like, such as:

Heh, I see.  He could've easily hidden himself away for a few centuries until this new Dracula decided to pop up with the twins in tow and whoever else he's got on his side.  Whatever you end up doing, it looks promising Gards.  ;D

My only current complaint is that Innocent Devils are literally a part of a person's heart and soul, so anything that happens to the person happens to the IDs to some extent.  Thus, time traveling wouldn't affect his IDs.  Beyond that, unless sexy Serenade says otherwise, I think ol half devil Nick is quite good as he is.  ;D  You can certainly HAVE him be limited if you want, but the IDs aren't like normal demons.  They're created by using a very small piece of the Forgemaster's soul while harnessing conjured matter in their very unique fashion, so there's no contract or pacts of any kind in that sense is all I'm saying.  Hope that helps though!

Aye, I understand! It's more that, despite being villainous, I kind of wanted to have a weird measure of growth to him akin to Hector in CoD finding his IDs over time. Except in Nic's case it's reestablishing the bond, so to speak. =p

So yeah if that doesn't work I may see about find another way to limit him until he can grow strong enough to have his collection. o: Beyond that though, thanks Verge! :D

No problem, and again you're fine to have him have to reestablish his IDs, and if the time travel thing is how you want to do it, that's more than fine.  I THINK it's implied that most supernatural creatures can't actually become Devil Forgemasters, it's always been a human art despite Carmillia admitting that vampires have tried to make their own to no avail, so it's entirely possible that Nick's half demon nature worked against him to some extent when he jumped forward in time.  That's just my thought on how to explain it Gards.  Feel free to run with it if ya like, but if not, you're free to do your own thing.  :D

I think it's time to do a 'check in' with all the players who have turned in profiles, who is still interested in the game so we can get a realistic character headcount of accepted profiles and people who have turned in profiles and only need to do a few finishing touches. This way we can get a good idea of what we are looking at in the game, and know what we still need for game start.

“If all we have is this imagined empty canvas of endless possibility...this potential heaven...then let it be our haven. A place of marriage between two souls desperate to feel something beyond the cruel tedium of real life. If we truly be the masters who dream these dreams then let our innermost desires fuel the adventures we create and the love that we make here, let it all unfold endlessly or for only a brief moment in time but for as long as it breathes let it devour and I will forgive your boldness if you will be so good as to forgive me mine...” ~ Chantarelle

I'm still around, considering Soma Cruz for the hero side and either Dullahan for Dracula's side, or some mad scientist that turned himself into a machine of sorts.

Vergil1989

Still wishing we had Zobek from Lords of Shadow 2 myself, a 'good' Death, essentially given his incredible power over life itself.  Anime Alucard and Anime Trevor would be Serenade's, although we DO technically need at the least one of them for this to work, preferably both of them.  Having said that, Soma was from the future, which kinda runs against what we're after unfortunately, that and future characters were vetoed as it were since we're already doing a lot of time and space stuff anyway unfortunately.

Ah, I understand. Will put some consideration on what character to work on then. :)

What do you think of the mad scientist? Will that idea fly or flop? Unfortunately I'm not too familiar with Lords of Shadow, so I can't say much about Zobek.

Vergil1989

I think we currently have more villains than heroes, and we're hoping to have a balance of those as well as male and female characters, but yeah a mad scientist type of guy's more than fine most likely.  Frankenstein won't build himself after all lol.
