The other day while I was watching the olympics I caught a trailer peek of NBC's upcoming tv series Revolution, I thought the premise would make an interesting roleplaying concept

Our entire way of life depends on electricity. So what would happen if it just stopped working? Well, one day, like a switch turned off, the world is suddenly thrust back into the dark ages. Planes fall from the sky, hospitals shut down, and communication is impossible. And without any modern technology, who can tell us why? Now, 15 years later, life is back to what it once was long before the industrial revolution: families living in quiet cul-de-sacs, and when the sun goes down lanterns and candles are lit. Life is slower and sweeter. Or is it? On the fringes of small farming communities, danger lurks. And a young woman's life is dramatically changed when a local militia arrives and kills her father, who mysteriously - and unbeknownst to her - had something to do with the blackout. This brutal encounter sets her and two unlikely companions off on a daring coming-of-age journey to find answers about the past in the hopes of reclaiming the future. Written by NBC Publicity

+A few things to know+
-This roleplay follows a separate storyline than that of the tv series. Original characters and what not, although the story bears similarities to the one in the pilot.
-You don't need to have watched the series to roleplay this game, although understanding the premise would help a lot.
-For the sake of keeping things interesting without taking away immersion guns will be restricted or at least severely limited  , only a hand few of individuals will carry guns. Those include members the Militia and maybe people belonging to the Tech faction. Old model guns such as musket rifles  and blunderbusses however are allowed. Each character upon reviewing character application  will be allowed one choice of longed ranged weaponry as well as one choice of side arm(melee).
-No God-modder/No One-liners.

The Landscape

Skills/Proficiencies
This game will make use of a numerical stat index system ranging on a scale of 1-100, don't worry stats are not set in stone and can be revised based upon your actions in the game, .i.e. if you do a lot of running in the game. Your speed  will invariable imcrease, if you carry a lot of weight, you strength will increase. If you're more likely to think problems through, your intelligence rating will receive a gain. If you use your weapon  a lot, your skill with weapons will improve. If you're a social player type player, your charisma will improve. Etc, Etc.

So try to give enough room for your character development   . It has no real bearing over combat or anything significant, it's just there to make people play a bit more smartly. It just to let people know where your strengths and weaknesses lie. Don't feel pressured to make an uber character. There is no  limit to how many points you can invest into your character.

Ability Scale
1-30: Sub-par level proficiency
30-50: Amateur level proficiency
50-70:Expert level proficiency
70-90: Master level(think World-Class Olympic Athletes)
90+: Maximum Peak Proficiency(think human characters with peak human abilities like  Nightwing, Captain America, Solid Snake )

No offense, but, don't you already have the Sailor Moon and Final Fantasy RP's still ready and waiting to go? Those might be in need of some attention.

The final fantasy roleplay isn't happening anytime soon, it's an impossibility whearas the Sailor moon roleplay, co-gms Brazen and Vostroya are currently hammering out the details without much help from me so I have much more time to invest in exploring other ventures.
