With such a deep, cultural and historical backdrop, is it any surprise that Boston is home to more than just humans?  Besides New York, Las Vegas, Los Angelos, and other big cities of the same, Boston also has quite a rich variety of both Light and Dark Fae inhabitants.  Vampires, wolf shifters, sirens, faeries, Gemini twins, incubi, succubi, albasters, lokis, djinns, and so many more.  And just like their human counterparts, the Fae hold jobs and make a living like anyone else, not just to better blend in with the humans they feed upon regularly to sustain themselves, (or for sport if you're Dark Fae,) if they need to feed at all of course, but also because they need money like anyone else.  Either way, there are certain places that the Light and the Dark can intermingle without fear of being attacked or put in harm's way....usually.  These places are called Waystations, and like the two sides, a Waystation has rules that MUST BE FOLLOWED lest the owners banish you from the premises, violently if need be.  All Waystations are owned by Fae, and they are all neutral ground.  It is uncommon however to see a Light and a Dark Fae co-owning such a place, but it has been known to happen all the same...

Just like any part of the world, Boston is no exception to the general rule of Fae leadership.  Only a few humans even know that Fae exist, and mostly because they are useful to the Fae community in some form or another.  Otherwise, any human that discovers what is living alongside them either A, has their memories erased of the encounter(s), or B, they end up dead, depending on what side happens to hear about it first and who decides to take action first if it's known by both sides.  There are a few rare exceptions that fit neither category but let's try to avoid a bunch of Kenzis shall we?  :P

Rules are important and they do need to be followed.

Rule 1;  No premade characters from the show.  Meaning do not take someone like Bo and stick her in Boston for a vacation or whatever.  Myself and AndyZ want an all original cast.  I LOVE most of the characters from the show but please do not make me pull out the ban hammer lol.

Rule 2;  No hybrids.  I know that there are a few that appeared in the show so far but I reluctantly have to agree with AndyZ on this one.  Hybrids can potentially be way too powerful to handle.  Beyond that, go crazy as long as you reference your species of Fae as requested in the character profile stuff that'll be coming.

Rule 3;  Light and Dark can mingle outside of a Waystation but it's not often it happens since while the general rule is there's an uneasy peace between the two sides, the two still bicker and fight in a Cold War kind of sense, taking sniping shots at each other from time to time in a mostly non-lethal sense.  But the unwary do happen to meet the bad end on occasion so keep your guard up if you're visiting the opposite clan's territory for whatever reason.  On that note, if you want to run a business such as a nightclub or something, feel free to list that in the Societal status bit I have in the profile sheet, just be sure to bring your own pics and stuff is all I ask.  I however do not want a ton of self made threads without knowing about them so please send me the links as soon as they're created, but in general I don't want to flood the boards either so first come first serve kind of thing here.

Mythology Origin;  (Either a summary and a direct link right to a wiki or whatever, so long as it's a REAL page please with real historical references.)
Societal status;  (Job in the 'human' world of things, social status, anything that will help you mix in with the normal people.)
Side;  (Light or Dark.  I love how Bo is neither but I'd prefer you guys didn't do so.)
Powers;  (Fae all have power.  Feeding habits/leftovers will also be appreciated here, if you need to feed of course.  List them here please.)
Known Weaknesses;  (A lot of Fae have some kind of weakness or weaknesses.  Do your best to come up with a few unless they are well known such as vampires for example.)
Personality;  (I want at least one paragraph of five sentences, and NOT a list of personality traits.)

Societal status;  Current co-owner of a neutral zone, a Waystation in the old part of Boston.  (Can't think of a good Fae like name for the place.)
Side;  Dark
Powers;  Succubi feed on sexual energy through sexual intercourse or a simple kiss.  Either way, through the chi absorption, a succubus can heal their wounds at an accelerated rate.  Seductive Touch allows them to manipulate people through desire, making them willing to talk....among other things unless their wills are strong or they have natural resistances to such.  The Touch needs to be done through skin, and as long as a succubus is touching their prey, it remains, but it is draining.  The Touch also gives pleasure to both Fae and humans, but humans find it irresistible and have no defense against it.  Those that have it used against them grow devoted as long as it lasts or until they climax.  Resurrection through the giving of chi is also possible but like being able to stop feeding before a succubi's prey is done for, so too must they learn to control this power as well.  Resurrection makes those revived devoted to a succubus longer but again it doesn't last long.  Succubi also have superior strength and speed, and they grow stronger after a recent feeding, making them more dangerous than ever.
Known Weaknesses;  Few Fae are able to stand up against a succubus, except an Albaster.  Albasters are the exact opposites of succubi, meaning where a succubus creates feelings of desire and arousal, opening their prey up to pleasure through sexual gratification, the Albasters make their prey feel sexual shame and despair until they commit suicide more times than not, and they don't have to be engaged in sex to do it.  They are able to sense other Fae, and they favor succubi as their main prey when they can get away with it.  Beyond that, they are mortal and can bleed, be poisoned, and can generally be killed like a normal human.

I'm interested in this. Are you looking for co-owner for the Waystation, or is that going to be taken by AndyZ? While I was reading, I found myself hoping to be able to be a Trick-inspired Waystation owner, but maybe I'll just have to settle for being a regular.  8-)

Working on the finishing touches on my character now. I'm making a kitsune wooohoo. I just can't decide on a picture, hmm I wonder would it be silly if I didn't use a Japanese female as the model?

Well, the Mongolian Death Worm, in the TV series, didn't look Mongolian at all.  Their's Hale, who is a male Siren (which, by the myths, are supposed to be all female), so I think a non-Japanese Kitsune wouldn't be that odd.
