Followup on this:  The VDare thing wasn't an isolated incident.  A cursory examination of those emails has revealed multiple links from fringe groups such as the Epoch Times, cited more than 120 times, which is more crazy than the Weekly World News; The New American, which is the magazine of the John Birch Society and pushed the 'birther' hoax, links that led to articles with references to 'the deep state', and at least a few that made trans and homo-phobic references to the DHS secretaries (both Nielsen and McAleenan)

A portland journalist shared the footage on twitter after it was uploaded to youtube. In it, there is a lot of video evidence of plans to riot by members of Patriot Prayer and the far right, with them holding weapons and objects that were then used that day for violent acts. It was noticed at 9 minutes into this video roughly, at one point while discussing tactics for attacking antifascists and how to fight them and cause injuries Andy Ngo is present and laughing with them.

The lawsuit is by Cider Riot against Joey Gibson founder of Patriot Prayer. It included footage of members of the alt right and patriot prayer holding various items that were later used to attack the establishment and people there. So.. without a warrant or anything two plainclothes cops barge into a house, tackle a 16yo boy, grab him by the neck, arrest him. All without a warrant or probable cause. The video shows one of them open the door and they claim the door was already open.

A cop told the story of how he was shot by a sniper from a building used for housing for mentally ill people across from Lancaster station, where he was. He had two holes in his clothing and it was remarked that his bulletproof vest saved his life. A manhunt ensued after he was taken to a hospital for treatment, during the manhunt someone was arrested for not complying as the building was shut down and searched with everyone being considered a possible suspect. SWAT, basically everyone possible was called in for it.

Then the police made an announcement, the deputy admitted he made the whole story up. He cut two holes in his shirt with a knife and claimed to have been shot, at the start people were suspicious that he might be lying due to none of his story and demeanor adding up.

The Cherokee Nation nominated a delegate of its own to represent their interest in the House of Representatives. This is part of an old treaty from when the Cherokees were treated as a sovereign nation.

For those who do not know, the political status of Indian reservations in the United States is a complicated one. They are semi-autonomous territories who while being within the 50 States, have their own laws and elect their own leaders while also being citizens of the States in which they live. However, most reservations are in economically impoverished regions with few natural resources to trade; deliberately so, as reservations where originally intended as open-air prisons. Even most casinos and tourist industries which operate on them have no obligation to devote their wealth to the communities. And given the political separation along with their incredibly low population (indigenous Americans make up 0.5% of the USA's population) mainstream Congresspeople have little incentive to court Native communities unless they're running on a reservation.

Hopefully this allows for the Cherokee Nation, and by extension other indigenous Americans, to be heard on the national stage.

Also relating to the discussion on Native American land and reservations, Border Patrol has been cracking down on reservations and increasing surveillance. They're setting up surveillance towers that monitor every person and vehicle with night vision, thermal, ground radar, within a few miles of each tower. Likely facial recognition is to be included. Over the years Border Patrol has been testing out it's newest tech on Native Americans. All with congress approval. Some of the systems come from Israeli manufacturers who promise their efficiency and assure they've been field tested on Palestinians. Palmer Lucky is also a founder of one of the companies working on these. Lockheed Martin is another company involved. They're considering building walls through native lands, and are already building the towers on sacred sites.

There is no hard and fast rule, according to this paper, but it is generally agreed by judges that the pardon liberates him from all legal consequences of his actions. That said, it does not liberate him from judgment by the public eye.

Although you could not be hired as a sheriff's deputy in Maricopa county with a felony conviction on your record, it's not disqualifying from running from the elected position of sheriff.

A report on the TSA practice of only allowing transgender people on their flight if they show their genitals. Often it involves the other option being direct contact pat downs with male TSA agents for women, and female TSA agents for men, or directly forcing them which is supposedly against the guidelines but is common practice. The US has pulled out of the UN Human Rights Council.

While this happened just a short time after the Council criticized the conditions at the US border detention centers, the official reason is that the Trump administration objects to the Council's 'chronic bias against Israel'.

This marks the first time that a country has withdrawn from the Council.  Libya was kicked out seven years ago.

(Maybe if countries would stop violating human rights, the Council would stop being 'biased' against them.)
