After playing through Mass Effect 3 I,m in the mood to start up a Mass Effect RP.

Update: Due to member dropouts, the team currently needs new members.
Needed:
2 Human males
1 Human female
1 Male Turian
Anything else is also welcome.

Part 1 will take place about a year before the events of Mass Effect, it will center around an alliance crew and a SPECTRE going after an alliance Spec-op member turned terrorist.
The RP will start with the crews being separate but eventually uniting as the situation becomes critical.
Since part of the RP will be team building (recruiting squad members), we,ll need to figure out how to work the RP until those squad members join the crew.

If part 1 goes well part 2 will take place during the events of Mass Effect 3. Basically being the story about how the characters from part 1 fit into the final war. I plan to use the same team but if anyone new wants to join or if old members leave I can work the story around.

Currently the crews consist of (I,ll update as people join)
Alliance:
Raven - me
AVA - RedEve

SPECTRE:
Raya Vos - Me
Rapax - PeacethatPowerbrings
Argos Ghul - Me
Zali - Vaulera

Suzie Lao's Team:
Suzie Lao - eBadger
Alexis - WendySlaveGirl
Ray Huang - TreyWalker

Other forces:
Tanka Varn - me
Xen Tolkien - me

I'd be interested. As a Geth, weapon specialist.
I am filled with recollections of lives I have not lived.

OHWceta

I,ll count you in. Do you want to be in the human crew or the SPECTRE crew? They all converge near the end but about half the RP the humans and aliens have different goals.

Now we wait for more members.

I'm in, if you'll have me.  I played a mass effect RP on another site and had a fun character I'd like to re-try here: basically an underground news investigator.  Think Michael Moore re-imagined as a pistol-wielding anarchist slash rock star.

Original character was female, which I'm inclined to do again, although I may go with a guy for any RP smuttiness.

Edit: also, free form or system based?

QuoteSuzie Lao is a counterculture icon, famous throughout the galaxy for her illegal broadcasts detailing the excesses, hypocrisy and tyranny of the major governments.  A Champion of the People, she’s sexy, fun, a pistol-wielding Robin Hood of information broking – half rock star glam and half folk hero violence.  As much as she pisses off big business and government, she enthralls everyone else.  She’s not above burglary, shootouts or seduction to get a story, and her news station – the Underground – hacks its way into normal feeds and brings anarchy, chaos and free love to every man, woman and Asari that ever felt sick of the powers keeping them down.  The revolution will be televised!

Cold Heritage

I would like to join. I am working on an Alliance soldier. Not sure what role would be appropriate for him.
Thank you, fellow Elliquiyan, and have a wonderful day.

I'd probably go with SPECTRE.

Welcome to the RP Cold Heritage and eBadger.  BTW, good job on the background eBadger.
Quotealso, free form or system based?

It's free form.

BTW, multiple characters are allowed if anyone likes to play two to three characters.

@ eBadger: So would Suzie join the alliance crew or SPECTRE crew?

@ Cold Heritage
QuoteNot sure what role would be appropriate for him.
Well, it doesnt have to be one of the ones I listed, I can easily use ground soldiers or individual fighter pilots or whatever else you can think of.

Thank ya!  Like I said, an old toon and one I've had a LOT of fun with.  Was actually introduced as the commentator NPC for an underground hoverbike race.

She's human female, so I'll go with whichever one will put up with her.  She's good for propaganda, but her anti-establishment rhetoric is probably a bit over the top for a staid military operation.

OHWceta

Yeah, well it goes from a military operation to going outside the law to chase down the terrorist pretty fast, especially when they find out who he's involved with (Which I'll save to reveal during the RP, dont want to spoil it)

As a human I'll have her go with the alliance, since unless someone else decides on a different route, my idea is that the SPECTRE isnt overly fond of humans until they save his life a few times, his ship is mostly aliens.

Hey, I made this character for another ME roleplay but she did not get accepted. Would she fit into your game? :)

Name: AVA
Race: gynoid infiltration unit
Class: Soldier
Class Specialization: /
Appearance:
History: AVA is a Cerberus prototype that was discovered when Alliance Commandos raided a Cerberus lab. After careful study of the unit, the Alliance brass decided against destroying it and instead had it reprogrammed. AVA is now a fully autonomous AI, though the Alliance techs had a few safeguards installed in her behavioral algorithms. She cannot under any circumstance do harm to Alliance personnel or their allies.
Biotic Powers: none
Weaponry: Dual M-5 Phalanx pistols
Sexual Orientation: As a former infiltrator gynoid, she has programming for all sexual preferences.
Preferred Position: Neither
"I don't have a dirty mind, I have a sexy imagination."
My ons and offs- My F-list

OHWceta

Yeah, though I was thinking she could still be with Cerberus at the start of the RP until the Alliance team recovers her. The Recovery mission would be an interesting plot point in the story. That is, if you dont mind.

That's fine.

Will she be activated already or still in a dormant state when they find her?

Whichever you prefer. Though I'd suggest her being already active or it might get boring waiting for the retrieval group. Though will she start out in her body or will she be kind of like EDI, a program until she gets the body sometime during her escape?

But for how long I dont know. Not completely sure what kind of character you intend her to be. (I mean, she'd have to have been active a while to be knowledgable about human behavior, while if she was just activated she'd probably be very robotic and mostly logical, not really grasping the concept of emotion yet, so that all depends on what you have in mind for her)

I'm okay with her being active for a time. The issue will be capturing and reprogramming her. ;)

OHWceta

BTW, we probably need at least 8 people for this RP, I can fill in as needed. We're going to need some Aliens and Male characters, the SPECTRE squad is surprisingly short-handed. Though I'm not at all opposed to Girl/Girl action.....That was a joke.

Strangely the Turians were pretty popular in the other Mass Effect RPs I joined, haven't seen one yet here, lol.

Here's my current Bios:
Name: Commander Raven Hart
Race: Human
Class: Vanguard
Class Specialization: None
Appearance: In Civilian Clothes
In Armor
History: Raven's father was a highly respected soldier in the Alliance fleet, Raven always looked up to her father and loved him despite him rarely spending time with the family. Then one day her father's ship was destroyed. Unfortunately as a military operation most of the details surrounding his death were kept secret. Raven joined the NCIS to investigate her father's death but her superiors had other plans, forcing Raven's search on the backburner behind her more 'important' missions.
Biotic Powers: Throw, Pull, Shockwave
Weaponry: Sokolov IX Shotgun, Raikou VIII Pistol, M-451 Firestorm
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Preferred Position: Neither

Name: Tanka Varn
Race: Krogan
Class: Krogan Mercenary
Appearance: He Wears This Armor though it's more rusted and a darker gunmetal grey, the Shoulders and Helmet copper in coloration:
His skin is light brown with paler tan flesh under his chin and probably going down his stomach to under his tail. His scales and natural armor plating is a dark olive green. The left side of his face (and presumably most of his body) is badly burned and scarred and unknown to many, he had his left arm replaced with a cybernetic one, Syntheskin covering the mechanical skeleton to appear like a normal arm.
History: Varn had the misfortune of being born a runt. At only 5 feet full grown he is the butt of many jokes among his collegues. When he was younger he was disowned by his father who felt he'd never ammount to anything. Out on his own Varn learned his own way of surviving, stowing away on an unfortunate cargo vessel, Varn found his way to the world of bounty hunting. At first being overlooked as a fighter, Varn learned how to develop weapons and make customizations to both guns and eventually ships. His work was highly sought after on the black market, but his popularity had a price, eventually the hunters turned their backs on him, threatening to sell him out to the authorities if he didnt bend to their wishes. One such blackmailer, a Turian made the mistake of underestimating the Krogan and found himself dead. Fortunately for Varn, this Turian had stolen a small stealth fighter from the Turian military. After making it offworld Varn began modifications to the ship, this included turning the two-seater into a single seated craft, he also painted it to better blend with the asteroids in space, but left 2 markings on each side of the ship to intimidate targets, these markings were painted to look like Turian and Salarian blood and written in old Krogan dialect to say "The Fallen Shall Rise Again". Varn continued to dodge bounty hunters while conducting his own hunts, eventually having many run-ins with Turian authorities, particulary a rookie agent named Xen Tolkien. One fateful encounter ended in disaster when Xen blew his cover, leading their target to sacrifice one of their own ships to escape. The bombed ship landed on top of Varn, the engine crushing his arm and leaving him horribly burned, Varn also claims the young Turian "owes him a lung" for the incident. Using his connections Varn eventually replaced his damaged arm and continues his bounty hunting opperations. Varn has a fondness for human rock music which he obtains from contacts who pirated it from Earth.
Biotic Powers: None
Weaponry: The Crushinator (A custom bladed shotgun that the axe handle is the barrel of the gun and the gun's handle is part of the axe blade)
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Preferred Position: Krogan: Submissive, Other Species: Dominant

#15
Name: Vladimir Arkadyevich Derzhavin
Species: Human
Sex: Male
Affiliation: Systems Alliance Navy Marines, Spec Ops
Rank: 2nd Lieutenant, ICT N3 qualification
Class: Soldier

History: Born in 2157, Vladimir's father died during the First Contact war. As such, he never knew him. Growing up in Moscow was pleasant, and Vladimir's childhood was not terribly exceptional. He played sports, did reasonably well in school, dated girls, had awkward sexual encounters until he gained reasonable proficiency and confidence, made friends, lost friends, got into fights, and in general grew up. As soon as he graduated, Vladimir enlisted for service. He signed up for the marines, the same branch of service his father had served and died in. His mother was conflicted; she did not want to lose him too, but in the end she gave her blessing. Vladimir performed very well during basic training, and was stationed on Elysium. Garrison duty offered little in the way of stimulation or trial, but Vladimir did his duty.

There, he developed a relationship with a local girl about his age. She was the daughter of the owners of a cafe. Her name was Vesepia Jones. She was sweet, and kind. They dated, went to dances, but things never got serious. Both of them knew they were not life long mates, and as soon as Vladimir was posted somewhere else he would go with fond memories. But they were happy. And they were in love, even if it was not the kind that burned brightly or endured for decades. Vladimir was on a day leave pass with her when the Skylian Blitz happened; he tried to escort her to safety, but she was gunned down by a squad of batarians. She died in his arms. Vladimir managed to neutralize one of them, take his weapon, and then eliminate the rest of the enemy squad. Although he attempted to make his way back to base, the distance was too great for him to rendez-vous with the Alliance forces stationed there; he resolved to make as much of a nuisance of himself as he could to the invaders. Gravely wounded during the Blitz, Vladimir nevertheless managed to neutralize several shuttles by seizing and employing batarian heavy weapons. His final action before relief forces arrived was to disable two batarian shuttles before they could take off with human civilians intended to be sold as slaves.

His actions earned him a commendation and promotion. He attended Vesepia's funeral, with her parents' blessing. It was a closed casket affair, and very somber. Vesepia's parents said nothing, but there was some resentment that he was alive and their daughter was dead. That resentment was something that Vladimir shared with them, and he felt tremendous guilt that he had not been able to save Vesepia. Some physical rehabilitation and recovery followed, but he was soon cleared for active duty and returned to duty.

Vladimir went on to be part of the forces that engaged in the Theshaca Raids. Facing fierce fighting in several combat deployments, Vladimir gained a reputation in his squad first as someone who was tough as nails - he took hits that would put another man down for the count and kept on fighting. He performed admirably, taking charge of his squad after his CO fell to heavy point defenses and their senior non-com experienced a failure in morale, and lead a daring flanking attack against an entrenched enemy position that had three squads of marines hopelessly pinned down and ripe for out-maneuvering by inbound batarians. They seized the guns mostly intact, and an engineer with one of the now freed squads was able to help them redeploy the heavy guns to destroy the inbound batarians - eight full squads were cut to pieces with what had been their own defenses. Vladimir also managed to save the life of a marine officer, Captain Edward Raines, taking a rocket meant for the Captain by using his body as a shield. The young marine was stabilized and medi-evaced, but by that time that combat zone was mostly won - all that remained was to mop up a handful of stragglers.

The debriefing that Vladimir faced was made up of several senior officers. It deviated from previous debriefings. The questions were hard, and the attending officers tried to turn his words around to make it seem as though he had done something wrong. The young soldier held his ground and defended his actions, standing by all of the decisions he had made. Later, Vladimir learned that the examination was so thorough was because Captain Raines had recommended Vladimir as a candidate for the ICT program. The board apparently found Vladimir a suitable candidate, and the formal offer was made. The young marine accepted, and was sent for N1 training. The brutal twenty hours a day training almost broke him, and almost killed him, but Vladimir managed to pass. It took everything he had. He almost did not make it until one of the instructors let it slip - ostensibly by accident - that his father had been a candidate for the program and would have begun training had he survived the First Contact War. That kernel of knowledge allowed Vladimir to dig down deep and find the last reserves he needed to succeed. It was a proud day when he completed the first course of training.

After a week's leave to recover - spent visiting his mother, who had since remarried, and meeting her new husband - Vladimir went on to complete the N2 and N3 training courses. He would put that training to good use, assigned as part of a Spec Ops team employed on various missions the brass needed done. As before, he acquitted himself well in combat, displaying the individual initiative so prized by the Alliance military machine without getting cocky and disobeying orders. During his tour, he faced batarians, salarians, krogan, asari, humans, vorcha, and even the odd elcor. In one of those missions, he earned a commendation for carrying a wounded squad member twelve kilometers while under heavy enemy fire and while wounded to an extraction LZ when environmental conditions made shuttle retrieval anywhere else impossible. Another, where his squad was tasked with what should have been a simple intel retrieval meeting with an STG squad, saw Vladimir convince both his CO and the salarians to band together to take out a group of mercs that were going to massacre a group of quarian civilians. Although outnumbered 3 to 1, the superior tactics, training, and equipment of the Alliance Spec Ops soldiers and the STG soldiers allowed them achieve 98% destruction of enemy forces and matériel. In light of the near total destruction of the enemy forces, deniability was plausible and complete.

At this point, Vladimir was scheduled to take the N4 course, but was tapped instead to join an Alliance crew that would team with a SPECTRE to hunt down an Alliance Spec Op member turned terrorist. Although the recruitment for this mission was ostensibly voluntary, there was no way that Vladimir was going to turn it down. Taking down one of his own gone bad was a matter of pride.

Personality: Vladimir's chief strength as a soldier his ability to shut down emotionally and get things done. He can fight on through pain and injuries that would put another soldier out of the fight. It is something he cultivated and learned how to do, seizing every ounce of potential he has in him to make it happen. Because of the Skylian Blitz, Vladimir is a true believer in what he is doing, and it is in no small part why he has become the driven soldier he has become. Although it might seem like it, however, Vladimir is not ruthless or callous. He will not send men to die, and he will not fall in line without questioning what he sees as a bad call - although he really hates to do it when he can see himself there is no other way. Whenever it comes down to it, Vladimir will do whatever he can to get saddled with the roughest, most brutal part of the job. He can take it, and he knows it. Whenever someone needs to draw fire, Vladimir is the one to go do it. He is dedicated to his squadmates, although this can be as much a liability as an asset - it is very difficult to get Vladimir to leave someone behind, even if it means that the rest of the squad can escape.

Having a command of his own is not something that Vladimir wants. He is a capable leader, and he earns the respect of those he serves with by demonstrating competence and never asking a soldier to do something he would not do himself. Many think he is unable to make the hard decisions, and to commit to what it really takes to get the job done.

Out of combat, Vladimir's pleasant enough. He enjoys classical music, stuff with lots of strings. He does not gamble, after a particularly disastrous hustling he suffered that cost him two months' pay to an engineer. Vladimir learned he just does not have a poker face. While he can drink anyone else under the table, Vladimir does not really enjoy becoming intoxicated - after the Blitz, he just cannot shake the little nagging voice in the back of his head that says he needs to be ready, at all times, to fight. He will enjoy the odd round, of course - it is just excess that he avoids. He especially enjoys eating, and the cooks of ships he serves on quickly come to recognize him and his wheedling ways. Some kept a few extra sandwiches ready - others kept their heavy ladles ready to fend off a bold, impromptu pantry liberation.

The guilt he feels over Vesepia's death still haunts Vladimir. He cannot shake it. He still blames himself for it - if he had been faster, more aware, done this of that differently . . . he thinks he could have saved her. In his mind, he has played out the scenario hundreds of times and come with almost as many ways he could have acted differently and saved her life. In some ways, every time Vladimir does something to save someone, he is trying to save Vesepia. He still has nightmares about it, but they are increasingly infrequent - months apart, even. Although Vladimir likes to think he is not scared to love again or make strong friendships, this may not genuinely be the case. Thus far, however, he has never had occasion to test this belief.

Although not generally xenophobic, Vladimir has - what he believes is a reasonable - mistrust of batarians. On an intellectual level, he knows they are not all mercs and slavers, but he has never personally encountered a batarian that was not one or the other.

Appearance: Vladimir is a tall man. His body responded exceptionally well to the standard Marsgene gene therapy all Alliance soldiers receive upon enlistment, and he has undergone elective gene therapies to further enhance his physique. His muscle mass is very great, and Vladimir's dedication to maintaining fighting fitness shows as well in a bulky, powerful body that moves with a flexibility and smoothness that comes from training for speed and stretching as much as for sheer brute strength (although Vladimir will be the first to admit he goes for the latter probably more than he should). He has glossy black hair that curls slightly if grown out enough, but Vladimir maintains a military high and tight cut. He has pale blue eyes. A strong chin and jawline give his face a very masculine appearance.

Vladimir has several scars on his body as a result of combat. None are especially prominent or disfiguring. He has Vesepia's name tattooed on the inside of his left wrist.

An Alliance uniform is the typical mode of dress for Vladimir. He has a few pieces of civilian clothing, although they are now ill-fitting and several years out of style - it would be very gauche to wear them in public.

I'm interested very much, having just completed the third game, I was wondering how in the world a quarian sex slave would work, much less fit into the whole story, suit and all. Whining aside, I would like to participate, albeit unsure of which role I could take.

PeacethatPowerbrings

Name: Rapax (Geth)
Race: Geth
Class: Engineer
Appearance:
Very much a unique Geth platform, Rapax is a mobile platform, and is optimized for maximum survivability. Rapax is built from the best possible materials, and wears external armor. Able to conceal its true nature by adapting its armor to mimic a Quarian suit, and sealing its head with a Quarian face-mask.
History: Deployed from beyond the Perseus Veil to gather information. Rapax is a mobile platform for the Geth. With considerably more runtimes than a normal mobile platform, Rapax was designed to modify itself for maximum survivability in largely hostile space. Has moved from planet to planet pursuing ever more useful information, driven by the consensus of its runtimes that its mission should last as long as feasibly possible, in order to provide the maximum benefit for the Geth.

Weaponry: Geth Pulse Rifle, Arc Projector, Geth Sniper Rifle (Automatic mount, back-resting, shoulder-firing)

I was a bit curious about that myself; although the quarians can be sexy, the practicality is iffy.  I had a bit of inspiration tho - a sort of rubberized gimp perhaps, a latex bitch suit with sleeves in the orifices, maybe even a permanent blindfold on?   It would be a particularly cruel fate for a conquered foe.  And few are likely to complain about turning a scavenging quarian into chattel.

Cold Heritage

I thought about it too, and I could rationalize it best if a particularly rich individual were in possession of a Quarian sex slave. With a lot of credits they could afford to maintain a Quarian and get the antibiotics, a sterile room, and other measures one would employ - assuming, of course, one cared for the Quarian's wellbeing - to ensure safest possible intercourse.
Thank you, fellow Elliquiyan, and have a wonderful day.

OHWceta

Well, I had an idea for a backstory but I was leaving it open in case someone else claimed the character.

But if nobody else plays her then I'll use the following:
Since Quarians have strict rules regarding population control, due to the fact their Migrant Fleet has limited space, only 2 Children are allowed per family. Since Kera'Hann Nar Bari's parents ignored the law they would have to send her away. Unfortunately her foster parents fell in into debt with a crime boss and he took her knowing others would pay good money for a Quarian slave. Growing up away from the Flotilla allowed her immune system to get stronger. (This uses the theory that a person who avoids germs is more likely to get sick when they come into contact with germs, as opposed to someone constantly exposed to germs building up more of an immunity). She still wears an environmental suit out in public because although stronger, her immunity is still weak compared to other species and places like Omega would be a death sentence. Though being exposed during sexual encounters is less dangerous for her. Though her master does keep plenty of antibiotics around and makes sure clients take special precautions, the cost of keeping her alive and healthy is worth it because all the extra money he makes from being one of the few sex slavers who owns a Quarian.

Also, glad to see your character PeacethatPowerbrings, though at the moment it looks like Rapax is unfortunately short of company aboard the SPECTRE crew until we get more members. I may make adjustments to the story to better fit the unity of the crews intead of having the two separate ones.

And welcome Vaulera, currently we need aliens but dont let it discourage you if you want to be alliance.

Really, Rapax can work on either crew, so if we don't end up running a Spectre crew, they can switch.

Was just cruising the youtubes, and a kernel of information about the Tali Romance seemed relevant. But it's a spoiler.

ME3 Tali Romance Spoiler
Tali spends the night with Shepard again, but without her suit on. She mentions her system adapted to him, and that she won't have adverse reactions to him anymore. This makes it seem like a Quarian could get used to being out of suit around someone.
Thank you, fellow Elliquiyan, and have a wonderful day.

Vaulera

I already completed the campaign, but thanks for the heads up, that seems plausible if that is in the game.  I would be willing to play something like that if it matters, I don't have much of a preference concerning my role, just as long as I get one.

OHWceta

Just pick what you want, the team is pretty flexible.

So should I put you in for the Quarian then? You can make your own bio  btw, I just had that one up to introduce the concept of how a Quarian sex slave would probably work.

Now all we need is probably 1 more male of any species. And we need a Batarian and a Turian.

Certainly. Look forward to seeing your bio.

Like the new look for Ava btw.

I,ll give a bit more time to see if anyone else wants to join and while those of you without character bios can write them up.
We have enough people to start since I can fill in for the Batarian and other secondary characters.

Name: Tarkus Koprolian
Race: Turian
Class: Infiltrator
Powers: Disruptor and Cryo Ammo, Incinerate, Sabotage, Overload
Affiliation: Contractor/mercenary

Background: Tarkus was once an up-and-coming turian spec-ops agent being prepared for SPECTRE service. Capable and loyal, an exemplar of his species, he seemed a natural candidate to rise to the top of the ranks and serve the Council. During an encounter with slavers, a bomb set by a reckless salarian SPECTRE he was ordered to support detonated under his squad's feet, killing all of them and leaving Tarkus seriously injured. Full of dextro-adrenaline, he was able to ignore his wounds long enough to corner the salarian and choke the life from him.
Upon being released from Huerta, he was informed via mail that the Council had removed him from SPECTRE consideration. They never said why, but it was clear to Tarkus that a lone SPECTRE was worth more to them than an entire turian squad. Enraged, he resigned from the service for "medical reasons" and spent a few months in the wildernesses of Palaven. He had taken a communicator for family emergencies only, and it was on this line (which was supposedly known only to his siblings) that he received a call directly from the turian councilor. "The Council recognizes your value to the galactic community, but you must understand we cannot grant you SPECTRE status at this time. We offer you a provisional special agent position. You will have access to our resources on a case-by-case basis, but you will not be recognized as a Council agent."
"Plausible deniability, is it?" What they were offering was backhanded and manipulative, a way to get an operative while offering none of the protections. He couldn't waltz through a marketplace shooting it up and then cry home for mother Council to protect him. "I'll take your shitty deal, councilor. I've got nothing better to do. All my men are dead." The councilor visibly flinched at this, but nodded and the transmission ended.
Tarkus worked with several SPECTREs on various missions, and a few even took to requesting him, despite his open hostility toward them. "Refreshing," one of them called him. "No one else could know I'm a SPECTRE and then freely call me a Krogan's afterbirth."

Characteristics: Tarkus was once idealistic and true, but has now become suspicious and sardonic. Quick to wit and slow to trust, this agent has become known among certain informed circles as the "SPECTRE's shadow." An unknown turian has saved several SPECTRE lives in volatile situations, without ever being identified. He is known to carry a Viper sniper rifle and a turian-designed pistol known as the Ganeus. Uninterested in "bristly" turian women, Tarkus has taken interest in the softer species of the galaxy, asari, human, quarian; not an uncommon preference among his species. While wearing his armor, he appears to be a nondescript turian... except for his short, jagged crests, which were blown off in the explosion and honed down to very sharp points by Tarkus.

Only one small problem. Part 1 of the RP takes place a year before the events of Mass Effect, so Sovereign and his involvment with the Geth is completely unknown to the council at the time of the RP.
Otherwise your bio fits well.

Once we get a Bio from Vaulera we can get this RP started.

That's what I get for reading and writing this on my phone! Missing obvious stuff like that. So uh, let's just have him on loan, still a soldier for that first part, and come back all pissed off for the second part.

OHWceta

You can keep the incident, just change it from Sovereign and the Geth to something like a terrorist or mercenary or whatever you see fit.

Now I have a general consensus question for all the members on this RP. How much smuttiness do you want on this RP? I can easily work the story to everyones' preferences on the issue, limiting adult content or allowing for more inclusion of sexual situations as needed

Sure thing, I'll fix it. I would say medium to light smut content, at least that I'm involved in.

As long as I don't have to be involved in any smut that goes on and it's never my character's personal failure that results in anyone who wants their character non-conned getting non-conned, I'm fine with whatever.
Thank you, fellow Elliquiyan, and have a wonderful day.

I'm not really here for smut, but I won't go far out of my way to avoid it, if you know what I mean.

My intent is for a little more than what was in the actual Mass Effect Series. But close to those lines as far as how much is included. (Not counting for the liberties of certain missions such as rescuing the Quarian sex slave).

I have no idea if you already had a ship design in mind, but I quite like this one:

We'll go ahead and use this design for the human vessel. I'll try to work on a floor plan, expect it to be around the size of the Normandy SR2. The Ship will be named the SSV Barrigada

Here's the other Ship Designs:
The Minuteman - The SPECTRE Vessel:
SSV Taito - A Human Carrier used later in the RP as a base:

I intend to play Suzie as a very sexual, outgoing creature: basically she's a sex icon.  That said, I played her the same way on a PG-rated site, so it doesn't mean I intend to be smutty.  And as a straight guy playing a girl that might seem a bit awkward anyways.  And really, Suzie's overly-skanky nature is more the result of an abused mind equating sexual attention with love than a real desire to have sex with anyone.

So basically, I'm up for whatever and will roll with stuff thrown at me, but that may just be a brief summary to keep the plot in motion.

Name: Suzie Lao
Suzie Lao is a counterculture icon, famous throughout the galaxy for her illegal broadcasts detailing the excesses, hypocrisy and tyranny of the major governments.

Race: Human
Class: Engineer
Powers: Sabotage, Overload, Combat Drone, Throw, Tech Armor
-Suzie is a technological savant with a penchant for hacking systems to seize information or defensive assets.  She's rarely without at least one armed camera drone, and the need for fan appeal has led her to an emphasis on cutting edge biotic and energy shields rather than armor, which is typically minimal.  Her abilities at telekinesis are more utilitarian than powerful, more often used to lift an access key or datapad than an enemy.

Weaponry: Pair of 7.7R Ciriatto Pistols and a 7.7X Rubicante Pistol, typically with Warp ammo

-With a focus on getting a story or creating mayhem rather than mere slaughter, Suzie doesn't stock a full arsenal.  Her preferred sidearms are a pair of prototype weapons liberated from a Cerberus facility during an investigation of Alliance governmental corruption, as well as a small custom holdout designed to collapse down to a tiny, scan-proof package.

History: Suzie's childhood is a mystery that she prefers not to have answered. According to every record she was a model suburbanite whose parents died tragically.  Left with a fortune, she vanished for two years and suddenly reappeared with a vendetta that captured the galaxy's imagination.

In reality, she was indeed born to an affluent family in Vancouver, the daughter of a powerful and unscrupulous lawyer and a wealthy heiress.  However, it was hardly idyllic; during years of abuse Suzie hid away with her studies until her father's violence culminated in her mother's suicide.  Legal recourses proved fruitless, and in the end Suzie solved the problem with her father's own pistol at the age of 14.

She grabbed some funds and escaped off-world to avoid capture by police.  After a difficult start she fell in with a pirate vessel, where she learned to fight and put her education and aptitude with tech to malicious - and surprisingly fun - use.  Suzie learned to delight in chaos, pushing back against the oppressive legal hierarchy that had destroyed her mother and her childhood.  A series of short, amateur videos showing raids of everything from slavers to bankers, with suitably witty commentary, quickly went viral.

An arrest on the Presidium for minor vandalism changed her life.  Fearing murder charges for her father, she was surprised to learn that his death had been reported accidental: a move by his firm to avoid scandal.  She was being hunted by the government as a missing person with a large inheritance, not a felon.

She quickly set that to rights.  Nearly the entire fortune was sunk into a small ship with a stealth system and massive communications suite - the Underground itself - as well as top of the line weapons and armor.  Shedding the anonymity of her first videos she blossomed as a cult hero, pirate captain, and information broker.

Her exploits should, by all rights, make her a wanted terrorist.  She delights in sabotage, burglary, and bombings.  She gives repeated injunctions to overthrow the government, attack police, and defy the law.  However, her actions have been aimed almost exclusively at the rotten core of the galaxy's corporations and governments: corrupt officials, rapists, slavers, the immoral rich who meet with little public pity.  The only serious attempt to prosecute her resulted in an outrage against the defense of her targets and doomed a judge and several politicians to disgraceful early retirement.

With a charisma that sways billions and a daredevil attitude, Suzie is plunging headlong into a self destructive spiral.  She's willing to try most anything for an extra edge, from illegal gene hacking to prototype implants.  Her personal habits are a combination of manic attempts at perfection and unbridled hedonism.

Inspirations: Bonnie & Clyde, Michael Moore, Rock Stars, the Irish Troubles.

Sexual Orientation: Primarily lesbian, but willing to try most anything just for the sake of being outrageous.

Preferred Position: Dominant; despite her forward attitude, Suzie is more of a vicious tease than a slut.

Ship: The Underground is a mid-range ship, designed as a swift yacht.  It has a small cargo hold and living quarters intended for a couple to live comfortably.  Most of the hold is now converted into a massive communications array, while a stealth suite has also been added to foil electronic detection.  Armament is minimal, intended for superiority against a lightly armed merchant, errant patrol fighter, or to cover a swift retreat.

Vaulera

Name: Zali  (Surname left in the dust with her birth ship)
Class: Adept
Powers: Pull, Shockwave, Push, Slam

Weaponry: Carnifex and Javelin (eventually)
Zali doesn't usually like open combat, either shooting an enemy in a surprise attack or shooting them from a long ways away, carrying the javelin more for threat than actual combat in a close quarters situation.

Bio: Zali was an unusual Quarian, to say the least, having been a rare Quarian to develop biotics and not showing an aptitude or an interest in technology, shunning it on account that her parents had been killed by the geth a year after her birth. She was adopted by a close friend of her father, raised on the migrant fleet, never setting foot off the migrant fleet until it came time for her pilgrimage, a journey to find something useful to her people. Zali had been through several colorful places in the galaxy, not having a great knowledge of technology greatly impeding her progression. After six months of moving from planet to planet, searching relentlessly, Zali wound up on Omega, searching the streets for information, technology, anything to bring back and end her journey. All of her scrounging caught the eye of a batarian slaver, a pirate by the name of Genn Tannik, confronting her and offering her information on a massive omni tool breakthrough and to meet him at a later point to be exchanged for credits. Zali accepted the offer, being quite naive, showing up and getting stolen away, being forced into slavery and gradually having her fragile immune system bolstered, intended to be used as an exotic sex slave by her captor.

For ease of Navigation and for Organization's sake we'll continue questions and discussions here until all the Bios are posted in the OOC thread. That way people only have to look at page 1 for bios and not have to sift through various conversations for 5 pages.

UPDATE, images for the Taito and Hades should show up for the OOC thread, I noticed the links were broken on this thread.

Unfortunately I do have a slight ammount of Bad News. Seeing as this RP involves recruiting a crew (Similar to Mass Effect 2 style) Not everyone becomes part of the crew suddenly or immediatly. I'll try to keep everyone entertained until their time comes to be brought into the squad.
Here's a list of the order recruitment missions will go. This has nothing to do with the order people joined or have any biasy based on me 'liking' or 'disliking' anyone. This is strictly ordered based on how the character fits the leads which the crews obtain leading them ultimately to their target Hades. I'll update it if WendySlaveGirl and TreyWalker give me Character Bios.

Recruitment: (Character - Recruiter)
Raven Hart is the Alliance CO, Raya Vos is the SPECTRE in charge of the Alien crew.
Vladmir - Raven, Tarkus - Raya
Ray Huang - Raven
Alexis, AVA - Raven (Alexis will be recruited to work with Raven in an assault on Cerberus where they obtain AVA)
Suzie - Raven
Argos Ghul, Zali - Raya (Argos is hired to help track down Zali's owner)
Rapax - Raya
Tanka Varn - (Encountered, doesn't join them until the squads Combine)

If you have any questions or concerns, make sure to let me know.

I see that there is a male quarian. Is there a male turian or human? those are the three races I enjoy playing most.

OHWceta

There's a female Quarian, no male.

We have 1 male Turian, and a few Human characters. Though since there's 2 crews, an Alien one and Human one, we need multiple humans.  Actually multiple of any species is allowed, I just have to see Bios to make sure there's a big enough uniqueness among the crew before approving.

Welcome to the RP, I'll add you to the Roster.

General Consensus Question #2:
For those of you who have beaten Mass Effect 3, I want to know your thoughts on the ending. (Make sure to include spoiler tags)
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
Did you go with the Synthesis Ending, the Control Reapers Ending, or the Destroy Reapers and Synthetics ending?
Or did you not like any of those and wish it ended another way. If you wanted it to end a different way, how so?

This wont have any effect on part 1 but will majorly affect the ending of part 2. So those of you who haven't beaten Mass Effect 3 have time to do so.

Personally how I felt about the ending:
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
1)We spent ALL this time fighting the Reapers as Bad Guys but now suddenly they're doing it for the good of the universe as some kind of organizer? WTF?!
2) Why couldn't they give us some kind of closure with Harbinger?
3) The vast majority of the Galatic fleet is around Earth and the Mass Relays are destroyed, so everyone is stuck in the Sol system with few ships defending the places that didnt send their people offworld? How are they supposed to continue a game about galaxy exploration when you cany explore the galaxy?
4) So now we have no Citadel? That pretty much kills off a good portion of recognizable characters who could make Cameos in later installments.
5) So we cant destroy the Reapers without ending ALL synthetic life?
6) I was kind of hoping to learn more about the Origin of the Reapers.

WendySlaveGirl

I sent you a pm with my character idea. Now, my thoughts on the ending.

Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
1) I think the God-child was a liar. I think it was, as is a popular theory on the forums, an attempt to trick/indoctrinate Shepard.
2) I chose destroy them. For one thing, I refuse to believe that Anderson chose the 'renegade' choice and TIM chose the 'paragon' choice.
3) The godchild specifically says the destroy ending will kill you as well since you are partly synthetic yet I lived and woke up among rubble that looked more like London than the citadel?!?!? Because of this I choose to believe Edi and the Geth also lived. In fact, a forum goer claims he had Edi as one of the people that walked out of the Normandy crash in his ending.
4) The ending was poorly designed and ill conceived and riddled with plot holes. How did people who were in my squad get on the Normandy? Why was Joker running from the battle? What kind of sense does it make for synthetics to wipe out organics to keep synthetics from wiping out organics?
5) Why does the god child have both manshep and femshep voices mixed in with his own? This can be heard easily over head phones fyi.
6) The ending is a death sentence for the Turians and Quarians who came to help. They can't eat human food and are now stuck on Sol. Actually it may be a death sentence for everyone in the battle as I doubt Earth can sustain that many lives.

Karma

Here's a reply to that.

Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
Don't forget that the galaxy would still have regular FTL. It might take weeks or years, but everyone could get home. That said, I'm on board with the major theory going around, so the odds are it isn't going to be a problem in the end.

Cold Heritage

Considering Tanka, Tarkus, Raya, and Suzie, is Ray really going to fit well and add uniqueness to the cast? There's a lot of characters of that types running around already. Raven and Vladimir are the only people actually part of the Alliance.

Ending Stuff
I chose the Synthesis ending, but I went and looked at all of them.

If I could change the ending, I would omit the motivation for the Reaper's cycle being the inevitable total annihilation of organic life by synthetics. It's not particularly supported well. The only time we see synthetics engaged in hostilities towards organics are when the heretic Geth, acting at the behest of Sovereign, go out and do his bidding, and Dr. Eva. The other times, the Geth were acting in self-defense against the Quarians. EDI is shown to be tremendously supportive of the organic crew (she says plainly that she limits herself to help the Normandy's crew). Just have the kid say, "you can end our cycle." Keep the Reapers a permanent mystery.

The Normandy turning tail could bear some explanation.

I would probably have had some narration, similar to what is seen in the Fallout series, outlining the results of various choices (e.g. cure genophage or not curing genophage, letting rachni queen live or die, etc.). Although it would probably be something like "the Salarians learned nothing from uplifting the Krogan, and when they uplifted the Yagh, the universe entered a dark era from which it never recovered."

Ships are capable of FTL travel without the use of mass relays. You aren't going between stars at sub-light speeds when you're doing the scanning mini-game, after all. The mass relays are just more efficient than a ship travelling FTL under the power of its own engines. And since the Reapers survive every ending except the red one, they can rebuild the mass effect relays. It is still not likely that the races brought tremendous food supplies with them, but the Quarians have their liveships as part of their fleet to produce food. The Turians are probably in a tougher spot, but they could still get home sooner than the Quarians; Palaven is closer to Earth than Rannoch.
Thank you, fellow Elliquiyan, and have a wonderful day.

Here's my opinion on the ending... it isn't over. I'm a proponent of the indoctrination theory, and that we have yet to see what really happens. Until that's proven or disproven, I can't really render any proper opinion on it. That said, if it was disproven, then I would demand a choice where Shepard argues with the godchild rather than simply acquiesing to the choices given. Shepard has always argued. It's completely out of character to make a choice solely on the word of another, particularly this kind of character with no history or proof other than its own word. The idea is that the Destroy-survive ending is the only correct one, which involves Shepard refusing the indoctrination and waking up while the battle is still raging, and that the Reapers will be defeated either conventionally or via an alternate usage of the Crucible.

I too am a believer in the indoctrination theory. It is either that or the writers lost their minds at the very end of the game and just had an intern finish it. The ending is so out of left field and so poorly written it is hard to believe the same writers worked on the rest of that game.

Cold Heritage

Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
I sort of wish I had spent more time paying attention to the lore surrounding indoctrination, because now that it is brought up, I question how it is that people on a planet where a reaper landed don't just eventually give up and march of their own indoctrinated volition into the bio-slurry chamber. Because that Cerberus team managed to get themselves indoctrinated pretty easily on the derelict Reaper you steal the IFF from.

Ok, here's my plan for the ending unless anyone objects, I want to have something most of us can agree on.
Shepard Choses an option similar to the "Destroy" option only instead of destorying everything, the Mass Relays converge in a kind of EMP blast that disables the Reapers' shields and renders them unable to move, allowing the fleets to destroy the Reapers conventionally. I'll continue to work with this as our story progresses, seeing as this is the ultimate end of everything so it wont show up for a long while.

While it's widely agreed that the endings were bad, some people still like them. That's not the matter at hand, anymore, though. It's that there are mountains of evidence that it was not the ending. If there weren't so many compelling reasons to believe it is not, this movement wouldn't even exist, much less have so much steam behind it.

You could say that the Crucible sends out a signal/command/virus that shuts down the AI of the Reapers, leaving them completely inert and inoperative. It would be a plausible reason for why it would only deactivate the shields of the Reapers, and not every ship around. It would also deal with Reapers that remained outside of the consolidation in Sol and provide a reason why it was needed to employ the entire Mass Relay network.

Reply to Vaulera
I was fine with Shepard destroying himself. That suits me just fine.

I'm not really mad with the ending. I just want more closure. It's the big ending to their trilogy, so I would've enjoyed seeing how my choices over the trilogy had an effect after Coldshep went to that big bar up in the sky.

That's not why people are upset Vaulera. Most people figured Shepard had a really good chance to die. They're upset because the ending was very out of character. She, or he, just accepted what the Starchild said at face value despite evidence from my own playthrough that AI and Organics could get along! Heck, right before that mission Tali was telling me how awesome things are with the Geth. Also, destroying the Mass Relays fundamentally changed the galaxy and whether people want to believe it or not doomed many planets which depended on food importation as well as the Quarians and Turians who were in the battle. Using the speeds available in the Codex or non-Mass Effect travel a guy on a forum I post on calculated something like 400 years for the Turians to get home from the battle.

Finally, it has many, many plot holes. The biggest is how did my squad get from Earth to the Normandy? Why would they leave me if they were more or less unharmed as they look in the final video? Why did Shepard not argue? Why does his gun have unlimited ammo? You can literally fire that pistol all day long and don't even have to change clips. Why do tech and biotic powers cease working? What happened to my armor so that I ended up in what looks like my casual uniform? The ending is either A) poorly written and designed or B) a subtle hint, as many people believe, that it was all an indoctrination or dying hallucination.

Finally, if you choose the destroy ending, why do you start breathing while buried under a pile of concrete instead of the space age components you'd believe the wreckage of the Citadel to look like? Also, how were you breathing when you're standing out in space talking to the Starchild?

Seeing as the Control ending is the only one they survive in.....I really wasn't overly fond of that ending.  The whole series pretty much leads up to destroying the Reapers, that's the entire purpose of everything everyone went through.

Just so you guys know, I was in the Navy so I'll probably bring in a lot of the slang and at least for the alliance crew bring in a lot of the traditions that are typical on a ship and rank courtesies and such.

Another thing I wanted to bring up in regards to smuttiness. Relationships, flirting, anything goes, crew members can date or flirt (or have sex) with other crew members as long as both members are ok with it. (So if one of your characters wants to end up involved with someone else' character it's ok as long as you both agree to it, actually I'd encourage it, partly because if the LI crosses over from part 1 to part 2, it'd make for good reunion scenes.)

That being said, Raven is available, I kind of want the whole Commander LI thing like in the Mass Effect games. Raya Vos however is not. (I'm only bringing up my commanders to each crew, NPCs and my other characters will express their opinion only if someone shows a romantic interest in them.

On another note, though I listed probable recruitment order, this is NOT set in stone, like if your character is in the same place as the squad is and it's not a 'recruitment mission' I'm not going to say "No, they cant join until I say so!"
I'm not including ALL the missions for the sake of simplicity, as well as avoiding spoilers, but here's how the Mission will pan out in regards to recruitment missions.
Citadel and Arcturus Station, the mission begins, first members are recruited.
MSV Tomahawk, the damaged frieghter were a mysterious signal was sent out to an unknown enemy
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
Geth
The Team learns their enemy is working with the Geth, they are sent to a colony to prevent an invasion.
ThOne of the colony survivors is a Cerberus opperative and escapes with valuable data, the team Chases them to a Cerberus facility.
New leads surface leading the team to Omega and chasing down a Slaver named Gen Tannik
The Next lead has the Team chasing down a Krogan near Tuchanka

Certain characters are tied to certain plot points but most of you can jump in at any time to join the squad. As I said before, you dont have to wait around until the plot point where your character joins the squad, I'll make use of NPCs so you wont get too bored, so just jump in when ready.

I'm confused as to why Frank needs to ask Vladimir's rank. Wouldn't Vladimir's uniform have like a rank insignia on it?
Thank you, fellow Elliquiyan, and have a wonderful day.

Because of Rank related formalities. An oversight on his part not revealing his own Rank, since Vladimir didnt ask him he didnt respond back before leaving.

So should I drop out since I wasn't in the US Navy? I just don't really get what's going on and don't want to screw things up because I'm not going to get the jargon, and I'm sort of getting the feeling I'm probably going to have my character do something that he shouldn't because I don't have the knowledge the character should.
Thank you, fellow Elliquiyan, and have a wonderful day.

OHWceta

No, Marines work with Navy and a good portion of them dont understand certain things Navy Related. The Navy Jargon is more like Easter Eggs for Military people if anyone else is former military. Otherwise it's just me being detailed in my posts.

Cold Heritage

Okay. If I do something that is grossly out of place, would it be possible you could drop me a line in whatever thread and give me a chance to edit? I've never really seen military behaviour outside fiction, and that's obviously gonna be pretty different from the real deal, even before you factor in the sci-fi elements of Mass Effect. Don't want to face court martial by accident.
Thank you, fellow Elliquiyan, and have a wonderful day.

Vaulera

In the future, I imagine navy and marines would only be separated by a few fine lines, space being the last frontier, but for the sake of those who don't understand the lingo completely, clarification when needed would be much appreciated.

P.S. I don't trust the dude who made the alternate endings on the basis that he spelled harbinger, harbringer.

eBadger

Interesting...I'd imagine the difference between those who spend their time on dirt and others who rarely leave a sterile metal coffin to see the enemy would be even more vast than now.

I'm former USMC, and not seeing anything too complex with the knowledge.  I was actually surprised at the rank comment too; I assumed he was in civilian garb - general rankings are usually pretty easy to decipher, even if you don't know the name.  metal=officer, more stripes=higher rank, if you don't see the insignia much it probably outranks you.

Naval jargon is pretty easy to google; here's a good source for starters: http://www.usmchangout.com/usmc/facts/jarheadjargon.htm

OHWceta

Well, it,s the closest thing we got to a more favorable ending fitting the RP

Mass Effect did pretty good with the military stuff, you might want to google military ranks but that,s about it, you wont get court martialed for calling the bulkhead a walor the deck the floor.

Simply, all enlisted military salute officers, lower ranking officers salute superior officers. Salutes are given when a higher ranking officers dismiss their subordinates, or on a military base when a higher ranking officer walks past a subordinate, they are addressed as sir or ma,am accordingly.

Raven is lax on most of these and really only follows these protocols on Arcturus station.

Navy Jargon:
Bulkhead - Wall
Deck - Floor
Overhead - Ceiling
Head - Bathroom
Scuttlebutt - Water faucet
Port - Left (Of the ship)
Starboard - Right (Of the ship)
Forward - Front (of the ship)
Aft - Rear (of the ship)
Also note, the CO can be called captain regardless of rank

Marine Jargon (i,m not as familiar with.)
Latrine - bathroom
Doc - Medic

Marines are the ground combat troops delivered by the Alliance Navy. The Navy crews the ships and provides mostly support troops.

eBadger

Marine jargon is mostly the same as Navy, traditions being more closely linked to the sea than we are anymore.

Fun ones to know:

Butter bar - lowest rank of officer, which have a gold bar as insignia
Utilities - camo uniform
Gun - a cannon, never a personal weapon s/a pistol, rifle, etc.
Mess or chow hall - cafeteria
PT - physical training, a workout
Boot - a new marine fresh out of boot camp
Moto - motivated and full of pep and zip; usually implies they're a boot
Salty - veteran, respected, experienced; one of the highest compliments
Liberty - free time
Field Day - routine cleaning, often done by everyone at the same time
Canc - cancel

"That moto butter bar canc'd our liberty to field day the mess, can you believe it?  We need some salty officer to tell the boot that a waxed floor isn't as important as operating guns."

My concern is ignorance on my part. I'm sure you can think up some basic, everyday thing the Corps drilled into you that if you saw someone dressed up as a Marine fail to do it'd seem out of place.

It's looking like I just panicked unnecessarily and read too much into OHWceta's comment about throwing in stuff from his naval background.

I kind of made - or intended to make, maybe I omitted that by accident -  a throwaway comment about Vladimir being in a BDU. I meant like http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120312181349/masseffect/images/4/47/Alliance_Uniform.png I got the idea in my head that the bars on the neck there were a rank thing, and that something appropriate'd be there to show his rank off.
Thank you, fellow Elliquiyan, and have a wonderful day.

OHWceta

As a videogame I,m not sure. But the stripes do usually show rank, varying in different thicknesses according to Rank. At the very least they signify an officer.

Usually they do have a pin there, though it,s likely the ranking pin is not worn in combat.

In the interest of adding in romance options like the Mass Effect games themselves I need the following added to character bios in the OOC Thread.
Relationship Status - Single, Married, Divorced, Widowed, ect.
Availability - Can other members in the RP flirt with them and are they open to forming a relationship with anyone else on the RP. Also include specifications if they're only into humans, or just into turians, ect.

On another note, is TreyWalker still in? havent heard from him since he posted his bio here, and he's the last person who needs to post a Bio in the OOC thread before we move all discussions to that thread.

BlackFistKronos

here's my character submission, with two possible origin stories. you can pick which one fits the most.

Name: Evan 'Xiphos' Ramirez
Race: Human
Class: Soldier
Powers: Adrenaline Rush, Concussive Shot, Incendary and Disruptor Ammo loadouts
Weapons: Diamond Black Assault Rifle, a pair of m-5 Phalanx pistols strapped to both thighs. though a fan of grenades, he has none at the start of this story.

Born on the mean streets of Omega, Evan Ramirez didn't have much to live by, save for either the crime groups, or the merc bands. He had one, advantage, though. Always being the 'big man'. Either by fat or by muscle, Ramirez was built like a Krogan, and would easily pick a fight with one any day (which he has from time to time).

His most notable work was with the Blue Suns mercenary group. However, he didn't entirely fit in with the whole 'discreet and surgical' approach to combat, and would easily get into brawls with commanders of the group. Many of the Blue Suns preferred the oneshot/onekill approach. Ramirez took that to heart and preferred to get up close and one shot a huge calibur pistol to his enemies' heads.

Upon a 'private security' mission gone awry, Ramirez's skills were put to good use, as he was given many large calibur battle rifles, and a hunkered down spot, where he rained gunfire down upon his enemies. The job was simple, an exfiltration of a high ranking corporate official. What the Suns didn't tell Ramirez was that they had NO intention of exfiling him too. How he escaped his 'king of the hill' crisis, no one knows, but he was left for dead at the hands of the Blue Suns.

What didn't kill Ramirez sure as hell made him stronger, and gained him a reputation. Going freelance, Ramirez would be hired for surgical, yet high gunfire strike jobs, where one objective meant fast, hard, and plenty of fire, breaking enemy strongholds with ease. Like a hot sword through flesh, Ramirez earned his nickname, 'Xiphos', the cleaving sword.

Xiphos' work leads him to being hired by a SPECTRE Reya Voss, who could use someone that combines the quickness and sharpness of a human, with the brute force strength of a Krogan.

Sexual Orientation: Straight
Race Orientation: all but Krogan
Flirtation Orientation: have at it, if you like them big, tough, and scarred.

OHWceta

OHWceta

First one,s good. You can post in the OOC thread now.

Destiny Ascension

Name: Felare Asteris
Race: Asari
Age: 129
Class: Vanguard
Appearance:
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide

History: Felare Asteris was born and raised on Lusia, in the Tomaros system of the Athena Nebula. She is a pureblood, a daughter born between a bonding of two asari, but has never let that slow her down. From a young age, growing up in a smaller city on Lusia, Felare split her time between trying to ignore the teasing and cruel jokes of her peers and living up to the immense expectations laid on her shoulders. Her mother, a prestigeous and respected scientist specializing in mass relay technology, and was known for philosophical inputs at the universities on Thessia, expected nothing short of intellectual brilliance from her daughter. She wanted a renown mind, certainly a figure of influence, maybe even a future councillor or ambassador to another race. Felare's father was the opposite, a respected and retired commando with more than a few brutal fights under her belt. She wanted a daughter known galaxy wide for her role as a warrior, a professional soldier through and through. Before she was twenty, though, all Felare was concerned about was the next big thing in the galaxy. She focused little on what her parents wanted, though hitting thirty set it in; she needed to do something.

In her youth she was especially sensitive to biotics, able to grasp the more difficult aspects of controlling and creating biotic fields much quicker than her peers. Her mother took this as a sign of a keen, sharp mind. Her father saw it as a good sign Felare would be an excellent commando, with a little training, while Felare relished the knowledge she was better at something than the others who had picked on her. Neither were particularly willing to give ground on the issue, at least until Felare made her choice. She was hesitant to go either way, but reluctant to disappoint. She wasn't particularly interested in becoming a diplomat, but wanted to see the universe, the Citadel in particular. Felare decided to side with her father, much of her mothers short-lived chagrin, though even she came around once Felare made her mind up. Despite not being absurdly rich, Felare's parents had enough money to get her to Thessia easily. Being the home planet of the asari, Thessia had the strongest, most talented and best equipped soldiers out of all asari worlds. The asari military worked differently from other species on the Council, where each city and town funded its own garrison of troops and ships, though united by a common goal to protect asari worlds, they differed significantly in size, capability and armament. Thessia's strongest units were also the most competatively selected and notably difficult to join. Never the less, growing up dealing with being singled out for her parentage, Felare was well used to adversity and being put down.

Training started on a low note, with her instructors intentionally singling her and another pureblood out, and the mockery and jokes started thereafter, though only the younger asari took part, the matron aged instructors weren't around to put an end to it. Felare was physically capable enough to stay on task, and quick thinking enough to find some of the strategic training easy. She took to using weapons slowly, having never used one before she entered training, so she lagged behind the other recruits in marksmanship and doubly so in tactics, not grasping the finer points of small squad combat at first, but Felare made up for lost ground with powerful biotic fields, especialy barriers and throws. As the months rolled on, eventually into years, Felare only grew more and more powerful with her biotics, eventually surpassing all other recruits and even coming to level with some of her instructors, though she was rarely allowed to get ahead, one of her instructors had a particular hatred of purebloods.

By the time she was fifty, Felare had taken a sharp understanding of small unit tactics, and even showed some promise as a ship captain, but her biotic power overwhelmed all other areas. She was taken from the broad recruiting mandate for Thessia and thrust into a smaller, much more difficult training program designed to field commandos as soon as possible, instead of the customary term of service with a city garrison. Despite her heritage, the commandos were much more accepting of Felare but trained her twice as hard, specifically training her as a Vanguard. Despite being an improving marksman, the commando in charge of Felare's training told her she was better suited to close quarters fighting, where her quick thinking and powerful biotics would give her a suitable edge in combat. All in all, from her first day to the day she was assigned to a commando unit, Felare's training lasted nearly fifteen years. Her contact with her parents had been sparse throughout that time, spending holidays at home and even being allowed to attend one of her mothers seminars on Thessia, but once commando training started she rarely spoke to either, and never saw them until it was over. Her father was beyond proud, and though her mother was still disappointed, she used her considerable influence to get Felare's unit access to an array of advanced weapons, armor, shields and even experimental implants developed by salarians, her way of showing pride. After training, Felare and her squad of five commandos, were placed under the command of the asari High Command, and sent from place to place, most frequently to border colonies in order to ward off pirate and slaver raids. Felare was the youngest in her squad, only sixty-five, and the next youngest was well into her hundreds, nearly one-fifty. Never the less, her commando squad was her family for most of the year, and treated her the same. They joked about Felare being a pureblood, but never made of her for it, and it wasn't uncommon for one of her unit mates to stand up for Felare, when other asari took issue with her. Being one of two Vanguard-trained commandos on the team of five, Felare took an especially strong liking to her commander, Viora.

Felare's unit earned notoriety after a couple of large slaver groups who had attacked a couple turian and asari colonies were put down, violently, by Felare's unit. So much notice, infact, that two members of her unit were selected for the Spectres, and while Felare herself was looked at, she was considered too young to be a suitable candidate. Her unit went from five warriors with a deep bond to three, and Felare found herself oddly on the front when it came time to train others. Though training could take a decade or more for a commando, and most were one hundred and fifty or older, so her unit continued to operate as normal, though with only three members, High Command was reluctant to send them anywhere hazardous. In this time, Felare reconnected with her parents, both of whom had entered the matriarch stage of their lives and were still active in asari politics, her father going so far up as advising High Command and her mother ended up on the Citadel, doing something with the Council, but Felare never found out what. Her unit received little action for several years, but that didn't stop them from training constantly and frequently spending time together. They went to the Citadel, Felare's first visit, and found themselves in a bar fight on the Wards, which didn't sit well with C-Sec, but nothing came of it, the bar had a bad reputation for criminal activity, though it didn't go unnoticed that might be exactly why Felare's unit ended up there in the first place. Felare started a brief romantic relationship with a turian soldier, but when he was deployed to a dreadnaught and she back to active duty, the relationship ended, if on a high note.

Nearly a year passed before a fourth and fifth commandos joined the unit, and they were sent back to active duty almost to the day. More pirates and slavers, though fewer than before. By the time she was one hundred, Felare was now considered second in command for her unit, though officially small asari units didn't have commanding officers, everyone in the squad decided Sila, the oldest commando, was the best leader. They entered the Terminus Systems a couple of times, normally retaliation strikes against pirates and slaver gangs, even a rescue or two, but High Command was never eager to commit forces to the Terminus, despite virtually every commando wanted nothing more than to see Omega, considered the central point for the Terminus gangs, burning. Much to her surprise, when called to the Citadel after a particularly bad fight against pirates in asari space, Felare and Sila were told the Spectres considered them interesting possible agents, but again, Felare was turned away because of her youth, though she always wondered if it was her age or birth that kept her out. With Sila a Spectre, though, Felare found herself in seudo-command of her unit, she took to leadership well enough, especially helped the command structure for asari units was nowhere near as stringent as turians. It was around this time Felare's unit, one member short, were set up in a multi-species task force with salarian STG and turian special ops squads. Felare's squad worked directly with an STG team and a turian platoon, and though it was mostly informal and experimental, the timing could not have been worse. A day after the unit was formed, the Relay 314 incident occured.

Though not involved in the fighting of the First Contact War, Felare's unit was put on standby in case things turned out poorly for the turian forces near the relay. When peace was settled and the fighting ended, Felare's combined forces unit were sent into volus space in order to route out a particularly persistant pirate gang plaguing supply routes. Through these operations, members of the turian platoon were killed, but Felare's unit avoided casualties, though Felare was fortunate enough to experience what it felt like to be shot. Felare was, strangely, rushed to the Citadel and stuck in one of the best hospitals on the Presidium, unsure why, Felare felt out of place among the politicians and, much to her surprise, humans, whom she had never seen before. Her mother arrived, frantic, worried Felare was hurt worse than she really was. Her arm was a little mangled, but not so badly that she wouldn't be okay with a few weeks rest. She spent nearly three weeks in the hospital, a week more than she felt she needed, but the salarian doctor treating her went so far as to lock her in her room. She was tempted to break out, but wasn't sure her mother wouldn't go nuts in the afthermath, let alone what her father would do. Felare's mother introduced her to some humans at the embassy, and despite herself, she was nervous through the ordeal. Humans had, aparently, stopped a turian fleet cold in its tracks and even defeated them, pushing them from an occupied world, something Felare thought impossible, seeing her turian comrades fight the way they do.

After her recovery, Felare returned her old unit none changed by her being wounded, though she was much more alert to keeping her barriers up in combat than before, she felt the experience was more than worth it, and she decide she had come out ahead, despite the scar. Years went by, and with humanity now the focus of many pirate and slaver groups due to their expansion, Felare's unit sees less and less action every year, and eventually, they are returned to the chain of Asari High Command, where a sixth member joins the unit, and they are folded into a larger commando unit aboard an asari cruiser. Continued bursts of action are common, especially with batarian interests taking focus on human expansion and terrorism becoming more and more frequent, High Command steps up missions along the borders of asari space, and even into the Terminus Systems, though reluctantly for the latter.

Biotic Powers: Biotic Charge, Nova(Learning), Stasis, Warp, Warp Ammo, Assault Mastery
Weaponry: Disciple IX,  VII
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Preferred Position: Dominant, a little submissive with humans and turians.

Whew, yeah, sorry that's so long... I tend to go overboard when making characters... X_X. So yes, let me know if anything is bad/doesn't work, I think I got the timeline about right.

Approved.

Now you and BlackFistKronos just post your bios in the OOC thread, then you guys can join into the RP.

At the current point everyone is at the Citadel, Raven (My Alliance Commander) is being interrogated by Raya Vos (My SPECTRE) near Huerta Memorial Hospital.

Suzie Lao (eBadger) and Alexis Harrison (WendySlaveGirl) are being recruited by the Turian Councillor at a restaurant in the Kolithi wards.

Since none of you are alliance, you didnt really miss much aside from Raven's crew retrieving a blackbox from the Damaged MSV Tomahawk.

Feel free to PM me if you need help figuring out how to fit in to the current plot area.

I need 1 more male, any race. Anything else is ok too, now that I've filled my minimum requirements
