Mathew sighed as he sat on the couch. Matthew did not know what to do, where to go, who to talk to. It was if the entire world stood still. He was really close to her and she went It all happened so fast, yet there was nothing he could of done.

He had just came from his sisters funeral and it was a very depressing one. It was so sad to see all of Jessica, his sister's name, friends and family said what they missed about her. His younger sister died because of him. It does not matter what anyone says or what anyone tells him. It is his fault she died. She was so young and had so much potential. Yet she is gone just because I could not do the right thing he. All of this just for stupid drugs he said as he sat there on the couch crying.

Rebecca knew that Mathew had taken her death really hard and she wished he wouldn't be so depressed. When she came into the door after being to the funeral she noticed he was sitting on the couch crying. Slowly she walked over and put a hand upon his shoulder. "Mathew." She whispered and she to had tears running down her cheeks. This place would never be the same after their sister died. She was the funny one that always made them laugh.

Matthew said nothing while she entered the room. There was not much to say. Both of them lost there sibling so it would only be natural for the two of them to be quiet. What made the feeling worse was how they all lived together now with only two. The place seems so quiet without her laugh echoing throughout the entire house. After several moments of silence Mathew managed to say "I am sorry. " though Mathew did not know for which thing he was sorry. For being the reason he killed her, for causing everyone so much grief and pain, Mathew did not know what to say after that. Mathew kept his mouth quiet and let the tears rolls down his eyes.

((I am keeping the idea in mind which is for him to distance himself away from her. I want to get to that point if you do not mind.))

They were all really close to the sibling that died and she never knew what would happen next. Her brother would be so distant from her that she too would go into a depression state later on. The look on his face absolutely made her heart melt from pain she too felt. "Don't be sorry this was not your fault." She sat down beside him and wrapped her arms around him gently.

[Limoncello]

Mathew let her hug as he did not care about anything who effected him at the moment. He was too caught up in trying to remember memories about his sister. Good bad and the bad. Though it made Matthew wonders if she knows really what happened. If she really knows how she died. If she knows that if Matthew was brave or strong to die in her place though Matthew knew no one would want to be around him.

"You know I caused her death sister yet you still want to be around me?"

"You did not cause her death stop saying that." She hated him being like this and she was slowing stopping crying. Though she still felt bad about her sister's death she had to be strong for her brother. If he saw her breaking down then he would do the same.

[Limoncello]

Matthew eyes grew wide at her response. "You sure." he said as is tears let a bit. She could be right. Besides the two of them needs to stick together. They are the only two of them left and he cannot afford to lose another sibling.

"Yes it's going to be fine ok?" She hugged him tightly and even though she was not crying she was breaking down inside.

[Limoncello]

"Thanks for making me feel better Rebbecca. You always now how to make me feel better. You are right as we must be strong for each other. My ... I mean our sister would not want us to see us this way if she was alive right now." Matthew smiled at Rebecca. Matthew gave her a quick tight hug and then release her." Matthew stood up and said "I have to go out for a bit. I should not be gone long. " Matthew stood up and left there house.

As soon as Matthew left the house a black car was parked at the sidewalk. It was as if the car was waiting for him. The windows were tinted black so no one can see into the windows. Matthew sighed as he walked towards window. That other choice did Matthew have but not sell drugs again. He does not want to but it leaves him no choice in the matter. If he refuses then they will kill his sister then his other family members. Matthew did not want that to happen.

A small smile crept across her lips when he mentioned that he was feeling better. When he hugged her she hugged him back tightly and then pulled away when he did. "But you shouldn't be going out after this." She said but he was to fast for her words her words did follow him out the door though. Little did she know he was back doing drugs again.

Matthew sighed as he accepted the deal. Yes he was doing drugs again but what little choice he had. He was not good t anything. Just a high school drop out that does not want to go back to college. It was not his choice. He is doing only what he is good at. The deal was very simple. Drop the money off with out losing it and Matthew gets money. How much of the cut he gets does not matter to him right now. He only wants money; maybe to help his twin out. Matthew was not gone from the house long. Matthew only went outside to pick out the money and await further orders. Matthew walked back inside the with a think back suitcase. Unknown to his twin this suitcase was contained with a little of ten thousand dollars. Matthew did not want to explain this to his sister. Maybe she would understand but in the end, probably not. Matthew walked back inside the house to see his sister.

When he came back into the house with a black suit case she got up and walked over to him. It was obvious she had been crying about their sister being dead. "What's in there?" She asked pointing to the case. What was going on here? Something did not seem right with all this. His depression changed quickly.

[Limoncello]

He looked surprised at her question. "This suitcase. You mean the once right here, that I am holding in my hands. Its nothing really. It is just a suitcase the a, a friend gave me. You know as I might be leaving town for awhile I said why not." Matthew said with nervous laugh. Matthew placed the suitcase on the ground as his cellular phone started to ring. Matthew smiled at the opportunity to leave the room and did so. The suitcase just sat there unlocked.

She crossed her arms. "Yes that one. The only one in the house right here." When he left the room she opened it slightly and was shocked at all that money. What was going on here? Quickly she shut it before he could come back. So he lied to her.

[Limoncello]

"Yes I will get it delivered on time as promised.... I doubt she would get in my way.... Alright. I will call when the drop as been made. " Matthew promised as he closed his cellphone. Matthew had a bad feeling about this though this did not surprise Matthew at all. Matthew always had bad feeligns when dealing with drugs but why should he be surpirsed. This is nothing new considered everything he has been through. Matthew walk back into the room and looked at the suitcase. Something was off. The suitcase was where he left it but it was if it moved. He doubt his sister would be the one to be pry but who knows at this point. "Hey sis, " Matthew said in a fake cheery voice "You did not touch the suitcase by any chance?"

At least she did not hear the phone call that he had just made and quickly moved back to the couch. It was in the same exact place and none of the money had been moved. She did not like the fake cheery voice that she heard and she could sense that he was faking. "No I didn't why would I?" Her voice was calm and he could not sense any fakeness in her voice and she stared at the television that was on.

Matthew sighed a bit. He is not stupid. Matthew doubt she is stupid as well. Both of them, or at least he is anyway, lying to each other. Matthew did not want to talk to his sister anymore. He walked over to the suitcase, picked it up and proceed to head out the door. "Do not get involve in this. Just... Leave me alone." Matthew said as he opened the door.

When he said Leave me alone the word stung and it showed upon her face. When he left and shut the door she let out a sigh of relief. What was going on with all that money and the secret phone call? Him going out late at night when his sister just died. It all added up to something but what.

Matthew sighed as he finally escaped the first obstacle. His sister. Naturally his sister can always see right through him. Matthew forgot about his sister for now and head towards the meetings spot. This location was in a nearby alley not too far from his house. Matthew need this so his twin sister did not die in vain.

When he left she sat back down on the couch and sighed. What was going on with his sudden change in reaction to her. A few tears fell from her eyes as she was finally alone. Her brother saying that mixed with her sister dieing got to her.

Matthew walked into the ally as calm as possible. This drop off involved one thing and one thing only. The exchange of the money. That is what guys like him are for. They simply drop of money to clients and walk away. Naturaly Matthew is going to get paid for this but who knows at this point. Every since his past mess up he has been on thin ice. Hence the reason why his sister died. Now he only has one left There was a least ten grand in this suitcase and Mathew had nothing to lose. Matthew walked into the ally and placed the suitcase as instructed as walked back to his house. That was not as bad as Matthew thought.

Before he came back inside the house she had gone upstairs and to her room. She was tired and had laid down on the bed clutching an old teddy bear he had given to her a few years back. She laid her head down on the on the pillow allowing her tears to soak into the pillow underneath her head.

Matthew looking around expecting to see his sister on the couch but he did not. "Hey sis. Where are you?" Matthew said calmly as he walked about the house.

She had heard the door open and her brother call for her. "I'm in my room." She yelled down the stairs to him.

[Limoncello]

Matthew walked upstairs and sighed. He knows what this means. When Rebecca was in her room its never good. When Matthew got near the door he heard her crying. So he walked in her room, without knocking, and tried to see what was wrong with his sister. "What is wrong sis?"

When he walked into the room she looked up at him and sighed. "You've changed." Was all she said and it was a mix of their sister dead and her brother acting the way he did before he left the house.

[Limoncello]

You've changed. Those words echoed throughout Matthew mind. Matthew doubt it was something beyond his control yet he should act more civilized towards his sister. After all there are only just them two left. Matthew walked over to her and placed his arm around her. Matthew did not know what to say or do. Times like these, Matthew does not know what to say so he acts on instinct.

When he touched her and put his arm around her she stopped. Slowly she turned around facing him looking into his eyes. "I know you took your sister's death hard but do I have to suffer?" She whispered wanting to be there for her brother.

[Limoncello]

"Suffer. How have I.." Then Matthew stopped himself. He knew full well what he was doing to her. Naturally he does not want to get her involved but it seems like she would rather die then not be. Matthew does not want to hurt her. He does not want the same fate to happen to his sister. Matthew does not know what to say but feels the need to say something "I do not want you to get hurt." Matthew said as he wondered if this was the right to say. Maybe it was. Maybe it was not.

When he was thinking she debated whether or not to walk away but didn't. "Why do you think I will get hurt? Is this change of attitude all because you are afraid I will get hurt?" She pulled away and crossed her arms around her chest and waited for an answer.

[Limoncello]

Oh great. The crossing of the arms. This is was not going to end well for Matthew and he knew it. Nevertheless he had to say something. He doubt she was going to let him leave until he does. So Matthew said what he truly felt. Not the smartness idea but it is a start. "You are not dumb Rebbecca. You knows what happen to people like me when they get too involved into the drug game. I do not want you to end up like me. A loser. Someone who has no choice but to go down this road. "

"Wait what?" She uncrossed her arms starring at him very confused. Why would he go into drugs over his sister's death? "You need help with your problem." She did not want her brother getting into trouble with the cops and other things. He could get shot or something else that could lead to his death.

[Limoncello]

"Drugs. People die over this and that is the end of it. " Matthew said looking at her. "I do not have a problem. This is a solution."

[darkvamplips]

"No tomorrow I am going to get you help." It was to late to do anything right now about it anyway.

[Limoncello]

"Help? Help?" Matthew said to his sister "I do not need help."

[darkvamplips]

"You have a problem and you need help." She crossed her arms again.

[Limoncello]

Matthew sighed as he stared as his sister. "so you are not going to let me do anything else til I get help?" Matthew said.

"I don't want you going out at godly hours and getting a chance of getting killed. I worry to you know." She said quietly and then turned away from him to go back upstairs.

[Limoncello]

Before Matthew could say anything she was gone. Matthew was just frustrated and simply passed out of the couch before he though to do anything else.

She spent half the night letting out the pain from her sister and crying. It wasn't until about 4 am before she finally passed out.

[Limoncello]

The next Matthew was awake and awaiting his sister as she promised. He did not want to go through with this but it seems like he as no choice. Matthew waited for his sister to wake up patiently.

She did not wake up till much later because she fell asleep late. Slowly she made her way down the stairs and yawned.

[Limoncello]

Matthew saw sister walking down the stairs "Morning sis, breakfast on the table if you like. " Matthew was not looking forward to today. Apparently today was the day he was going to get help.

She walked into the kitchen and noticed something on the table. "Don't think I haven't forgotten." She said quietly and sat down on the chair. "Thanks."

[Limoncello]

Matthew just rolled his eyes. "So what you got planned for me today. Torture? Going to some sort of shrink? " Matthew added trying to keep the atmosphere light. Matthew is trying to become a different person. A push in the right direction is all he needs.

"I'm going to be calling some counselors or some rehab places." She put a mouthful of food into her mouth and then played with it a bit. Did he put something in the food?

[Limoncello]

Matthew groaned loudly. "Well lets gets this over with. " Matthew said getting up already ready to go.

[darkvamplips]

"Can I finish something to eat first?" She said looking up at him confused.

[Limoncello]

Matthew plopped back unto the couch without another word. He needs to calm down but he seems really anxious, as if something is riding on this trip.

It took her another 10 minutes or so to eat. "Thanks for the food. Now I want to make some phone calls ok?"

[Limoncello]

"Sure go ahead." Matthew said waiting or rather trying to wait patiently. It was as if he was waiting for something to happen yet nothing was going to happen. He is only anxious because he is dreading what is going to happen to him. With drugs he is a nobody.

Slowly she went over to the table in the living room and pulled out a phone book. "You have to promise me you will stick to it ok?" She said sitting down on the couch and leafing through the book trying to find something good for him.

[Limoncello]

Matthew nodded at her. He does not want to do this but its for his sister. He has put his through enough problems for the past couple of weeks. It is only fair that he at least try.

Her fingers stopped at a place in the book and then she takes the phone in her hands. Dialing the numbers she waits patiently for someone to pick up the phone on the other end.

[Limoncello]

Matthew waited patiently for her sister to stop talking on the phone. Matthew tried to her what was going on so he at least knew what he was getting in to.

"Thank you bye." She hung up the phone and then turned toward him. "You have an appointment tomorrow for a consultation."

[Limoncello]

Matthew was unable to here any on the conversation. It was literally over before it started. Matthew sat back of the couch quickly so he tried to make it seem like it was not ease dropping. "So sis what do you want to do know."

[darkvamplips]

She shrugged softly putting the phone and phonebook on the table in front of them. "What do you want to do?" The old age question.

[Limoncello]

Matthew laughed at that question. "I could be a jerk and say I dunno what do you want to do but that would be pointless. At any rate I dunno. I ususally do other things right about now " Matthew trying to not sound bitter but how can he not. Though his sister is helping So Matthew plopped on the couch seeing what was on tv.

"Well do you want to go out for food or go see a movie?" She asked knowing he had to keep his mind off his addiction problem until tomorrow. Hopefully the counselor will have some good news to tell her tomorrow.

[Limoncello]

"Sure a movie sounds really good right about now. " Matthew said. Sure its early in the morning. Sure there is no one in the movies right now, probably empty but at least its something to do.

[darkvamplips]

"Or we could go eat first since it's early." It was as if she was reading his mind. Maybe something could change between their relationship.

[Limoncello]

"Sure why not sis" Matthew said. Anything to make her happy yet Matthew wonders if it will all be worth it. His "friends" will not be wanting to take to lighter so the sooner he gets out of this house the better.

[darkvamplips]

Hearing the word sis made her smile and then she stood up to go get her wallet. A few moments later she was back downstairs.

[Limoncello]

While Matthew sister was up stair Matthew go a text message. It said: "You cant hide from us. We will find you. You will come back. They all do." Matthew deleted the text and tried to hide is kinda scared face. Having a group of mobsters after him yet he was trying to put a straight face, all of his beloved. sister. "Hurry up sis! The place will close by the time you are ready. " Matthew said in a playful tone.

They could always get the cops after them to try and save her brother's life. They would not close because it was early in the morning. A few moments later she came back downstairs with her wallet. "I'm here already." She smiled at him.

[Limoncello]

Mattew tossed the keys at his at sister not knowing if she is going to catch it or not. "Head up sis, you is driving."

[darkvamplips]

She manged to just catch it by her finger tips. "You never let me drive what's up?" She asked.

[Limoncello]

"Oh no reason." Matthew said. To be honest Matthew feels to problematic to drive anything right now. If he tried it would result in a crash or something probably worst. Though one thing Matthew is trying to do is he is trying to make his sister happy why he stil can. Who knows how much time he had left before they decided to kill him.

When she got in the car she put her seat belt on and the key into the ignition. She didn't think that anyone would kill her and if they did she would probably end up not leaving the house at all.

(Do you think they could shoot her after dinner)?

[Limoncello]

((Sure. )

Matthew thought maybe he was overreacting, maybe nothing can go wrong after all. What is the worst Matthew "friends" are going to do to him. Matthew trying to think positive as he left the house with his sister. The positive thinking disappearing when he saw what was waiting right outside his house is a black car. Any normal person, a person that was not involved into drugs, would not know what this black car meant but Matthew recognized that car from anywhere. That is the infamous drug car Matthew used to get orders from. Matthew did not want to be bothered by them, or rather his sister did not ay any rate but maybe they will ignore the both of them for now. Who knows however, maybe there are here to see if he will report the police. Matthew is not a snitch but usually when people snitch, their family members usually die.

Matthew opens the door and closes the car door swiftly behind him. His eyes were as though he saw a ghost but he tried to make it seem as if he has not. "So where we eating at? Taco Bell? Olive Garden?"

When she walked out of the door she noticed that there was a black car but thought nothing of it. A few moments later she was in the car and her seat belt was placed around her. When she looked over at her brother she noticed the look on his face. "What is it?" She looked around noticing the car again but something did not feel right with how he was acting. "I was thinking the chinese food place we used to go to."

[Limoncello]

"Nothing sis just drive." Matthew said trying to pull in a smile. It is bad enough people are after him now they want to go after his sister too. This was just Matthew''s luck, once he tried to turn his life around people want to kill him. Now is sister is in the mix. Matthew's "friends" did not know about his twin until well.... now.

[darkvamplips]

"Alright I'm driving." She pulled out of the driveway and started down the street to the chinese food place. "So anything you want to talk about?" It was a little drive to the restaurant so there was time.

[Limoncello]

Matthew simply stared out the window not answering his sister. It is as he feared, the black car, the one outside their house, is now following them. Matthew tried to wonder why they would follow him. He did not owe anything he was aware of. It did not take them long at all to reach the parking lot of the Chinese restaurant.

Rebecca did not realize that the black car had been following them for nearly 3 blocks. "Matthew?" She asked when she pulled into the driveway and then stopped the car. When the car was off she turned toward him wondering why he did not answer her.

[Limoncello]

Matthew simply smiled at her as if nothing was wrong. Matthew was hoping she have not notice yet, though she is very observant. Almost too observant yet Matthew might as well go along with is act. "What is wrong? You are looking at me as if you saw a ghost. We cant sit her all day Matthew said as Matthew said playfully as he continued to smile as if nothing was wrong.

Yes she was observant but she had not realized the car was there because she was happy. "I asked if there was anything you wanted to talk about and you completely ignored me." She said half playfully like she always did when she wanted an answer from him.

[Limoncello]

Matthew smiled and punched his sister playfully in the arm still giving her the false smile. "Come on sis, lying is overrated now. The past was behind the the both of us. Now come one, lets get some food." Matthew said but in all honestly Matthew was nervous as can be. He does not know what will be in store for them but it can not be good.

When he punched her in the arm she made a sound like it hurt and grabbed her arm jokingly pretending to be hurt. When he said those words she pouted. "Fine." She got out of the car and then closed the door behind her before locking it.

[Limoncello]

With that being said Matthew escorted his sister, a bit faster than needed, to the Chinese restaurant. In a matter of moment Matthew and his sister was able to get seats without very little problems. This was mainly because Matthew and his sister came during a slow time of the day. However once Matthew sat down he saw two hooded figures walking through the door. Matthew sighed as he could not believe the persistence by these two people. How far were they willing to go to make sure Matthew will not snitch is beyond is comprehension.

When she was being rushed she wondered what he was doing. They did not need to rush but they were. When she noticed the two hooded men she looked up wondering what they were doing. She got a bad feeling about them and turned toward her brother wanting some kind of answers. Even if it was to say she was ok and they were not going to hurt her.

[Limoncello]

Matthew felt his sister's eyes on him yet again. Though Matthew knew what this meant. This was the tell-me-what-is-going-on face. Yet Matthew did his best to stall. Maybe if he was lucky she will just forget about it. Matthew already got his sister involved and he did not want her to be in anymore deep than she already is. "Hey sister whats the matter. I got something on my face?" Matthew said trying to kid around yet he knows what she wants.

"Please stop trying to change the subject. I know something is wrong please tell me." She stopped talking when the waiter came around to order the food and she ordered. She was really hungry.

[Limoncello]

"Sis. It is like I said before, nothing is .. oh hey looks how is here." Matthew said as the waiter appeared. Matthew actually looked at the menu for this first time. He was not paying any attention  at all to what he wanted to get so her said "Hey sis why don't you go first. You know me, I always take forever when ordering something." Matthew said trying to buy himself more time. Thinking of a lie to get himself out of this situation was not going well considering how his sister always sees through his lies.

She rolled her eyes and sighed knowing he was hiding something that had to be with the hooded guys. "I'll have the shrimp and cheese burger please." She said closing her menu and handing it back to the waiter that left and she turned back toward him. "You can't hide things from me."

[Limoncello]

That was checkmate and Matthew knew it. Matthew was in a corner, no lie, no excuse, nothing. Nothing but the truth and that is what is sister is going to get. "I will have what she is having." Matthew simply stated. Once the waiter got that down on paper and left out of earshot he said "Alright. Those hooded figures, Yes. I know them. I am sure there are after me. I am not sure if they want to harm me in any way yet I am not sure. Maybe they just do not want me to snitch." Matthew said "I did not want you to get involved sis but now you are. I wanted you to at least get out or something if I had to go down but nooooo You had to get involved." Matthew finished slightly frustrated. Matthew knew his sister was showing that she cared. Though sometimes being curious in the wrong places can get you hurt or maybe even killed.

"Look I do not mean that. I just did not want anything to happen to you. You know I love you sis but I do not know if you are going to be safe from now on." Matthew said

Wait what? Those people in the hoodies were trying to get to her brother? When he seemed to get mad at her she winced. He never used to get mad at her but now he was. "You still haven't told me why they are after you." She looked down at the table not wanting to look at the hooded figures. But maybe they might overhear them and hurt her or worse her brother.

[Limoncello]

Matthew groaned softly at this statement. He should of known one question is going to lead to another question and so and so forth. It will never end yet it is only fair to his sister that he answered then all. To make up for the lies he told so many times. Matthew shifted uneasily in his seat and said "I do not know if they will hurt me. It the drug world one dead person means nothing to them. As long as I do not get in there way I will be fine. Yet I begin to wonder if anything is going to happen considering how far me and you got. This is why I suggested we do not go to the police. You may get hurt or other people he may have came into contact with." Matthew trying not to get upset again but it was hard not too. Matthew was not upset at his sister, mainly upset at himself.

"Wait drugs?" She turned toward her brother and had her voice down trying not to draw attention. Soon their food had arrived but she wasn't very hungry now. She did eat to make it look they were just there to eat and nothing more. "Why would you turn to drugs?" Maybe this was a bad place for her to talk about it but she needed answers from her brother.

[Limoncello]

"Come on sis give me a break." Matthew said trying to stay calm as well but it was getting difficult. It is possible that his sister would never understand, never get why things are they turn out to be. Yet it is worth a shot. Matthew shook his head and said "I was never smart sis, I was never good at school, considering how I barely got out of college and for what; a lame degree that no one even recognizes. Yes what I am doing is wrong but please try and understand. I only turn to selling because its quick and easy money. Yes I could die. I could even up in jail. I could also end up getting seriously hurt but it is worth the risk. Bills being paid for, a house to live in, having food everyday. Why suffer at all?" Matthew said looking for answers. These were answers Matthew was looking for himself but stop trying to find them. Sometimes, questions are not meant to be answered.

When she got a job she would have to get him off this drug thing and into something else. Get a real job and she would help him with the bills. Soon they were done their food and the bill was given to them to pay. "So we done?" She asked still thinking about what he had said the last half an hour.

[Limoncello]

The next half hour was replaced by silence instead of talking. It was sad it had to be this way but Matthew believed he had no choice but to live this way. Nevertheless Matthew knew what he had to do. He had to stay low and not go to the police, yet he doubt his sister is just going to let it happen. His sister wants him to do something yet Matthew knew it will only be a matter of time before his sister conviced him of doing something that he was against. Like going back to school, or worst finding a job. Matthew thinking about this while eating just became aware of the silence until his sister said something. Matthew looking up from his food he said "Sure." Matthew was not sure what it was, but he was trying to say something, something that will keep his sister from being less worried yet Matthew believed there was nothing to say. As Matthew rose from his seat he saw their "followers" was not well... following them anymore. Matthew kinda happy from this led his sister to the parking lot. As the two of then were walking to his sister's car he felt something was off.

She couldn't believe this was all happening and maybe she should go to the police. She would not talk about it right now with him just in case one of them over hears them talking. The food was very good and she was happy they finally got to come here and be together once again. She finished the drink she had gotten and put the glass on the table. "I think they left." She whispered putting her arm through his arm and walked to the car.

With his sister arm under him and there approach to the car Matthew though maybe nothing can happen. Though Matthew did not know how wrong he was. It all happened so fast Matthew did not have time to react. The black car, the one following Matthew and his sister, stopped right in front of the two of them. Matthew barley heard a voice saying "This is just a warning." as a loud gun shot rutped into the air. The back car did a quick burnout being pealing of down the street. Matthew looked himself over for a bit only to see that he was ok. None of is body parts was bleeding so maybe they missed, maybe they was just trying scare or maybe they were not aiming for him. As this terrible thought began to sink in Matthew prayed with his hardest that his sister has not been shot as well. That will devastate him beyond belief.

"Sis?" Matthew said turning shakily towards her "Are you OK?"

When she heard the gunshot instantly her hands went to her face covering her ears. That was short lived before she felt sheering pain through her body. She had been shot twice in the chest but missing all of the vital organs. Soon she collapsed to the ground not moaning or screaming but just taking very deep breaths. If he didn't get her to the hospital and soon he might not have a sister.

Once Matthew saw her falling to the ground he knew what had happen. Matthew trying not to panic, trying to keep his composure, he got out his cell phone and quickly dialed 911. Matthew knelled down by his sister and waited for help to arrive. It was in a matter of minutes that his sister was off to the in hospital. Matthew wanted to go with his sister but he had other pressing matters to attend to, mainly the police. The police did not want to leave him alone and believed he had something to do with the shooting. Naturally Matthew wanted to tell them the truth so this entire ordeal can be over and done with yet it was not that simple. Matthew had to lei about everything, not seeing anything, or anything of that nature. Matthew sighed he was able to shake the cops off him before driving to the hospital to see is sister.

When her brother knelt down beside her she was shaking and already her lips were pale. The blood was squirting from the gunshots in her chest and she took his hand in hers. Before the paramedics arrived she had fallen unconscious and didn't wake up. A few hours later she was sleeping peacefully in a drug induced coma so that her body would not feel pain. Her arm was laying over her chest gently and there was a white sheet covering her. If the sheet was left off he would notice bandages from where the cuts were.

Matthew unlike an ambulance had to work his way through traffic just to get to his sister. After going through all of the trouble it seems like Matthew could not get to his sister even if he wanted to. The doctors believed a couple of more test needed to be made before anything should happen. Matthew sighed as he sat down in the waiting like the other families. Like the other families Matthew was waiting for a loved one to come back but it was different for him. He knew that she was going to come back yet these families could have probably have no idea. Matthew should have consider himself lucky because of the game he plays. Any moment he could be in a hospital bed, or worst probably jail.

A about an hour after he came to the hospital one of the doctor's came out to talk to him. "Matthew?" He called out and when he spoke up he walked over to him. "Your sister is alive but in a medical induced coma so she wont feel pain. We would like to keep her in it for a day or so, so it would not be a shock when she wakes up. You can go see her if you like." He said.

Matthew sighed as he brushed quickly past the doctor finally being able to see his sister. Seeing his sister alive caused Matthew tears to fall into his eyes. He knew his sister alive yet, he did not want it any other way. The saying is true as people really never know what they are missing til it is gone and Matthew felt that for a brief second. Matthew did not know what to think if he ever lost her so he planned not to. He will try to change but it is going to be a long yet productive process. After trying to find the words to speak he was able to say "How are you feeling sis?"

There was no answer from her form and she would not be able to answer for a while. Her face was pale and her lips were slightly parted. Even though she didn't respond her head fell toward him very slowly as if giving him a sign she would be ok. The doctor left him for a while to be near his sister she could have died and left him all alone. They had no parents and that was a hard thing to go through.

Matthew sighed as to see some sort of reaction from here as he sat down on one of the always uncomfortable hospital chairs and waited. Considering how further communication was pointless. Charles waited until the doctor came back.

The doctor was very busy and wouldn't come back until there was a problem or he went to find her. Her hand moved slightly as if saying she was still with him.

Matthew got up to take her hand into his wondering what she can possibly be going through. Being shot is a horrible ordeal, but Matthew would never know that is like so he trying to copt with pain for now but is somehow managing. Matthew trying to find the words to say something despite his sister being unable to say anything at all. "I am going to try to change sis. Believe me. I know I have said it before but this is a wake up call for me. For know sis just hang in there. I will try my hardest to take care of you for as long as I can.

She found a comfort in his hand that allowed her to relax. It was something they did to calm each other down when they were younger. Just a simple hand hold and that was it. Her thumb seemed to twitch underneath his hand when he said those words meaning that was a good thing. Soon after that there was nothing else she needed rest and wouldn't heal if she didn't.

As soon as Matthew finished the doctor said "I am sorry sir but you are going have wait outside. Visiting period is over." Matthew looked from the doctor to his sister as if looking for a reason to stay yet it never happened. Matthew kissed his sister on the forehead before walking out of the room. Matthew decided to stay at the hospital until he knew his sister was going to be released. Also he was not sure when his 'friends' may decided to visit again so staying at a hospital seems like a pretty good idea. That is until he finds a solution to this problem of his. So he stat down in the waiting room watching a soap opera. Matthew never liked soap operas. Matthew was going to wait as long as it takes til he can take his sister home or the doctor gives better news.

The next day she was allowed to be taken off the medication to wake her up. "Matthew?" The doctor asked him and shook his shoulders trying to wake him up. "We are going to let her wake up now." He said she had made it through the night with no problems at all. That was a good thing after being shot twice in the chest.

Matthew was dreaming of his sister getting shot again. It was all Matthew can dream about and this night was no exception. It was mid afternoon and Matthew, always over sleeping, was still asleep on one of the hospital couches. Matthew only woke when the doctor shook him wake. Matthew nodded to the doctor as he followed the doctor to his sister's room. Matthew waited anxiously saying "Alright doc, do what you have to do." To finally here is sister talk again will make Matthew extremely happy.

"She might not wake up right away and she will be groggy." He said turning off the medication to her system so she could wake up slowly. It would take her at least another hour to fully wake up and be able to say anything if at all.

[Limoncello]

"Just do it doc." Matthew said as he pulled a chair next to his sister bedside. Matthew placed of her hands into his and waited. Matthew would wait as long as it took for her to wake up. Though Matthew is happy in one way. He is happy because she is alive and will be back to her normal life in almost no time at all.

The doctor had given her a shot of morphine because she would be in pain when she woke up. Soon he left leaving the two alone again. About half an hour later she moaned softly trying to wake up.

"Thanks doc." Matthew said softly as the doctor left the room. Matthew was thankful for him and simple stood by to watch his sister. Matthew watches her movements and simply smiled as it is what the doctor is saying. Soon she be fine but for now she needs to take it easy. Matthew waited, waited until the time of her waking up was soon.

Another fifteen minutes after the moan her eyes flittered open and stared at her brother. What happened? She didn't quite remember but she was in a bit of pain right now.

Matthew smiled at her words "A lot has happened. Though do not worry about right now. Try not to use so much energy. You are still being waken up from the coma you were it."

Coma? What happened to her? She looked so confused why was she in the hospital. "C-coma?" Her voice stuttered out as she wanted to know.

[Limoncello]

Matthew sighed a bit. It is going to take awhile to explain to her what happened but Matthew decided to give it a shot. "Well dear sister after you have gotten shot you headed to the hospital. The doctors believed your condition was fatal so you being a coma became nessasry.' Matthew looking around nervously considering part of him had no idea what he is talking about. Nevertheless when the doctor comes back everything will be explained.

She looked confused like it wasn't registering but she just came off of some drugs and was out of it. Taking a deep breath she squeezed his hand gently not feeling any pain though. All she remembered was walking out of the restaurant with her brother and holding his arm. After that it was a blur.

Matthew sighed as any new attempt at a conversation will be pointless at this point. Matthew placed a kiss on his sister's hand patting it gently "Do not worry sis, I will explain everything soon enough. Try to relax sis as I will see about a time when you can leave. " Matthew said will a soft smile. Matthew then became silent as he waited for the doctor to return. Matthew has a lot he wants to say to his sister but this is the wrong place for it. The comfort of there own home seems like a good place yet his sister was not in any condition to be moved. Well not yet in any case. Until Matthew must be patient so the doctor can explain what is going on.

It was half an hour later that the doctor came it to take a look at her. If he had any questions it would be the best time to ask him now. He went over to the machines to check on her and check the IV bag. Soon it would need to be changed. While this was going on she ended up falling asleep her body would need to rest to heal quicker.

Matthew looked at his sister while she slept peacefully before returning to his thoughts. This made Matthew think about the things he have done in the past. What his future has in store for him. When he saw is sister was in a deep slumber he finally risen off of the chair. Matthew eyed the doctor and said calmly "Hey doc, you mind if we talk outside. I do not want to wake the sis you know..." Matthew said has he swiftly exited her room. "So doc," Matthew said trying to keep his voice steady, he was breaking towards tears at this point "What is with my sister. It seems as if she is out of it?"

She slept peacefully even though her brother was gone out of her room. The doctor would have to come back within the next few minutes with a new bag for her but he nodded and followed the boy outside. When they were out of hearing range he turned toward him ready to answer any questions. "Your sister got shot in the side. We had her on some strong medication for the pain. It is common to be in a drugged up state when a patient wakes up for the first time."
