Lines "burnt" into a monitor (Solved)

Well, I left my computer on overnight a couple times without turning off my monitor. Earlier I noticed that there were some lines on my monitor screen. My question is this, can I get rid of them?

Hop on Youtube and search for "screen burn fix," pick a video and run it in full screen for a while (could be ten minutes to an hour or more)

This should help wash the ghost images out.
