A Lord has been picking through his villages, taking only the fit bodies and killing the weaklings; the males forced into his armies and the girls as slaves and keepers of his castle. Maya, a smart quite girl, is taken from her father and forced to live and work in the Lord’s castle. She witnessed her younger brother killed and oldest brother forced into the army. She is assigned to serve food to the Lord, and obey his every need, like everyone else. Having a plan to kill the Lord, she picks a night to do it.
