Language and roleplay

Even if I'm a newbie there, I wanted to know if nonnative speakers do feel like me when they have to roleplay in English.

Personally I find easier to roleplay in English as I can take distance from the real person that I am, and in this way my feelings and behavior don't override my character's personality.

I don't see it as a wall to distance myself from characters, and I RP both on dutch (native language) and in English, but I do know that neither my dutch, nor my English vocabulary would be as wide as they would be were I to stick to a single language. Dictionaries help, but they're not the end solution.

The biggest problem is when trying to write something in an artistic way, when you don't want to use the exact same words every time.
