NATURAL RESISTANCES: Jessica rapidly forms an immunity to all poisons and drugs, and is totally immune to radiation.

Light-Sleeper - Jessica is capable of running on little to no sleep. 2 to 4 hours is enough for her each night.
Keen Eyesight - Jessica is able to see and observe what other might miss with a keen eye. It has helped her find her key details when her handlers would let her out to scan old Hydra tapes.


DISADVANTAGES:
Pheromones - Jessica's metabolism generates pheromones which attract human males while repulsing females, though she uses several "perfumes" that can nullify, enhance, or reverse this effect.
Amnesia - Jessica can barely remember anything from her past life. It frustrates her to get small glimpses and flashes of the past and not know what they mean. As far back as she could fathom, she was born just after steam was invented.

HISTORY:
In 1930 Spider-Woman was born Jessica Miriam Drew, daughter of Jonathan Drew and Merriam Drew in a lab built by her father and his research partner Dr. Herbert Wyndham just on the outskirts of London, England. Shortly before her birth, her mother was accidentally exposed to a lethal dose of uranium. In order to save his wife and unborn child, Dr. Drew injected his wife with an experimental counter-agent to uranium poisoning. The formula itself contained dominant DNA from several different species of spiders. Merriam recovered and several months later gave birth to Jessica. The labor was long and difficult and she needed up losing her life in the process.

Jessica seemed to be fine during her first six years of life, but due to the residual uranium hanging around the stagnant lab she soon contracted uranium poisoning herself. It was then Dr. Wyndham suggested placing Jessica in a genetic accelerator, promising the restorative effects would do greatly for Jessica's health. Dr. Drew agreed and soon a six- year old Jessica was placed into the machine to regain her vitality.

Grief stricken and now a broken man, her father leaves her in stasis and takes off for the U.S.A., leaving Jessica in Dr. Wyndham's care. Unfortunately the doctor had other plans and shipped the young girl to a secret Hydra facility in Germany's countryside in order to begin developing his own brand of super soldier.  All his efforts were obsolete with the eventual arrival of Captain America and Jessica was placed in the long term care of handlers who were instructed explicitly on how to nurture the young girl. The process of genetic acceleration and her altered DNA combined with the explicit care of her handlers slowed down Jessica's aging process, having her age at a very slow rate.

Several decades later, the lab in which Jessica had been stowed at had caught and electrical fire. During the process of transferring precious chemicals and experiments to other facilities around Europe, the machine in which Jessica slumbered malfunctioned, waking her up and thrusting her into a new and frightening world. When her handlers noticed her up and running free, she accidentally killed them with her venom blasts, which manifested for the first time at that moment. Shocked and terrified at what she done, she pilfered their corpses for anything useful and got the hell out of dodge.

Her luck held strong as she made her way to a port and found passage to the States by stowing away on a massive freighter. The girl remained hidden for nearly three weeks, only daring to surface when she was in dire need of food. The crossing was made in safety and soon Jessica found herself in the middle of New York without a penny and without a clue. Just happy with her freedom, Jessica began her life as a 'teenaged' vagabond in this brand new world. That is until a voice called for her to travel north...

POWERS:
Golden Touch - Valerie can affect the properties of items she touches by using her blood or tears as a reagent.  A drop of blood and her full concentration allows her to transmute an item's basic makeup to that of a different element. Her most common use is to transform cheap trinkets into gold to sell. Even without her concentration, each drop of blood or teardrop can transform an equal volume of a substance to gold. Valerie's powers only work on non-living material, therefore she could not use her power to turn a person to stone. (This could change over time if the nature of her powers change)  The more complex or rare the material is, the harder it is for her to transmute. For instance, to transform something to adamantium would be incredibly taxing on her, as well as transforming adamantium into something else.
Innate Understanding - Any piece of equipment or machinery that she concentrates on can be understood entirely, allowing her to transmute broken pieces or enhance components with her Golden Touch ability. She can also manipulate the machinery to make it no longer work, causing pieces to rust or break. (May not work with alien or futuretech beyond her capacity to understand)  Her powers do not work on bio-technology or devices that can be considered alive.

ADVANTAGES:
Situational Awareness  Due to being constantly on the run, she has is constantly scanning her surroundings and is very good at noticing things that  are out of the ordinary.
Escape Artist Valerie has needed to escape from police armed forces, corporate security, and other dangerous people. In combination with her ability to transmute material she is quite flexible and is able to break out of most bindings.

DISADVANTAGES:
Hunted - People who know about her power want her. Having the ability to transmute basic elements into rare and valuable elements is highly valuable.
Low Tolerance to Heat - Due to a chemical imbalance, Valerie often has issues with her body temperature spiking.  Warm environments affect her as a hot environment might and hot environments can make her sick. This does however make her better at withstanding the cold.

HISTORY:
Valerie has been on the run since her powers manifested. She was 16 when she first noticed that various items in her room had changed to gold. It didn't take long before she was exploiting this power to augment her allowance. After selling things to pawn shops frequently, she was attacked by muggers who were hoping to steal from her.  Valerie stupidly explained she could make things change to gold. She was kidnapped and held hostage for weeks. It wasn't until she discovered she could manipulate locks with her power that she managed to escape. Word got around and she has been on the run ever since. Her parents have since gone into protective services and now, after three years she has finally found a place where she can let her guard down at Xavier's School for the Gifted.

However, one is always their worst critic and she often focuses on the fact that she has a slight overbite and a rather wide mouth in relation to the rest of her face. She has a "tramp stamp" tattoo that she is careful no one ever sees and a cafe-au-lait birthmark at the base of the back of her neck. She tends to wear work-appropriate clothing that ranges from "casual Friday" dress shirts and slacks to business suits. In her real down time, she likes designer clothing, dresses in particular and shopping for them is a personal habit.

It made her far more down to earth and a lot kinder, though there's still a lot of her teenage spunk around. She's also kind of high strung in that she always has to worry about balancing her 'human' facade out with this new - and annoying - burden of mutant ability.

POWERS:

Stone Mimicry - Liz is able to completely change her body into stone. The vast majority of her powers are focused into this one ability. At first, she was only able to create a sort of stone "skin" or armor over herself and then it moved on to being able to turn her entire form into stone itself. First, simply her form, then she was able to use her other ability to build on the stone image to add details - turning her modern clothing into that of a traditional Greek statue or adding a statue base below her feet.

When in stone form, she is made of homogeneous matter and thus she does not contain the usual weak areas a human would - there are no organs to speak of. She is currently unable to move in her full-stone form but as her powers advance, she may be able to do so. Her body structure is only as strong as the substance she is currently made of. Something like sandstone allows her to temporarily break down into tiny particles of sand and move in a manner sand would normally be able to (fall through cracks, etc) As long as 90% of her mass is maintained, she can reform as if nothing has changed. Less than 90% would mean that parts of her body would begin to be effected - starting with nonessential areas like hair and the top-most layers of skin. (She has never been harmed this way, so this is just for game mechanics)

At the moment, she can only utilize a few types of rock, specifically one of each of the three types of stone: obsidian (Igneous), sandstone (sedimentary) and Quartzite (Metamorphic). As time goes on, she will (with GM permission) fairly rapidly learn how to form herself into more types of stone and crystal - perhaps even grasping refined metals and diamond one day. (First on the list would be pure quartz due to its connection to her metamorphic form)

Stone Summoning - While she cannot call up the earth around her, she can form stone out of thin air. This ability is brand new and taxes her. She usually uses it to coat the surrounding areas in a thin layer like her "armor" in order to create a larger scene statue. However this rock can have an almost viscous quality as it rolls over objects and has definite repercussions. Liz could not cover another person without suffocating them, in that way it could be modified to be used as a weapon. This stone "coating" can give the appearance of, but is not true petrification.

Eventually she will be able to combine these abilities to transform herself into a stone object that is nothing like her true form.

ADVANTAGES:
Athletic - From an early age, Liz was involved in sports, gymnastics, dance and eventually cheerleading. She has a flexible, fit body any 'normal' human would be very proud to have.
Eats like a bird - She needs very little food to get by, often just snacking along the way. She can go a bit longer than the average woman without food.

DISADVANTAGES:
Silver Spoon - She was always taken care of by her parents and her boyfriends. Her family was well to do and she never wanted for anything. Now that she has to work for a living, she has some trouble fitting into the middle class without appearing pretentious.
Light Sleeper - Liz needs perfect darkness and silence or a white noise machine to sleep. She often has to resort to earplugs and/or a blindfold to achieve sleep in the dorms. It is a disadvantage because it is easy for her to have a night with little sleep which leaves her crabby for some time. (Also because of the next disadvantage)
Low Blood Pressure - Going along with disadvantage #2 - this is particularly bad for her since she can't just pop up out of bed ready to go. She's often woozy and disoriented when woken up even by her normal alarm and needs some time to recuperate. Moving from one position to another too quickly (such as standing after reclining for a while) can make her dizzy. Having this problem means that she needs to take extra care to not become dehydrated so, even though she doesn't need as much food as the average Joe to get by, she needs far more water and always has some with her. (This disadvantage is null when in her full stone form)

SKILLS:
Shrewd - From a social and a business perspective, Liz is very good at figuring out how to get the best out of a situation. She knows how to manipulate through interpersonal skills.
Dancer - Her training over the years has given her a good sense of balance, rhythm and timing. She can usually come up with a simple choreography routine on the fly as well.
High Society - She was raised in an environment where relatives often rubbed elbows with others of the rich class. In particular, she is used to dealing with politicians.

HISTORY:
From a young age, Elizabeth was the pride and joy of her family. They were well off and spoiled the heck out of her while, at the same time, putting a fair amount of performance demands on her. She had to learn how to conduct herself when in public and in "Polite" society. She also learned how to ride a horse (something she has long since been out of practice from) and several kinds of dance. Gymnastics was paired with extra tutoring to keep the carefree girl up in subjects like mathematics over the summer.

At Midtown High, she was a popular girl - one of the typical ditzy cheerleaders who dated the jocks. She was lazy enough to let her popularity and good looks speak for her, but her parents were savvy enough to keep motivating her to do more and in the end she was very grateful for their pestering. She dated "Flash" Thompson and laughed along when he picked on unpopular nerds like Peter Parker, all the while not understanding that there was a world so much bigger and scarier outside campus. Her Junior year gave her Prom Queen status and set her up for what looked like was going to be a fantastic final year.

Unfortunately, her Senior run did not go as she thought it would. Summer break was a whirlwind of activity for her. She got a part-time job, her driver's license and a bout of pneumonia that kept her isolated from her friends for a couple of weeks. In the end, that cloud had a silver lining, as the 17 year old was lucky enough to come to know she was a mutant while she was not in the spotlight for once. She was at home, nursing a cup of hot tea when a scaly substance started creeping up from her hands and all over her body. She panicked. It was a million times stronger than any sort of dry, scaly skin she'd seen in commercials. And it may seem strange, but her appearance was the first place that her mind went to in situations like that. But that superficial thought quickly became a fear for her life as the rocky crust enveloped her. Her mother came home from errands to find Liz shaking, withdrawn on the couch in a fetal position.

Unlike many, less fortunate mutants, Liz's family did not turn on her. They considered what she was going through from all of the angles that they could. They shielded her from the world at large - and not because they were ashamed of her, but by her own request - and consulted doctors and scientists in private. The Allans family took an extended vacation to their summer home and spent a long time trying to help Liz through everything. Being out of town made it easier to handle the occasional, well meaning person who asked about her. After finding out her condition was not harmful, they Home Schooled her until she was able to obtain her GED.

Her parents encouraged her to pray, meditate and explore any alternate means of learning to either control her abilities - which had a knack for appearing at the oddest times - or coming to accept what was happening to her with dignity. The techniques did seem to help and, after a while, she was able to venture back out into the social world - first through Skyping with friends online and then, finally, graduating to being able to work outside the home. Her parents were able to go back to Queens and tell their friends about the wonderful time they had traveling, and how well their daughter was doing. ("Did you know she was working in the offices of... now?" "Oh, yes! Elizabeth graduated with honors!")

She worked for many months in her secretarial position and was finally starting to have some normalcy in her life once again. But the "stone skin" was a problem that still needed to be dealt with once in a while. One night, she began wondering if ignoring it was the right thing to do? Perhaps if she tried to figure out how it worked in stead, she'd be able to eventually suppress it entirely? She began small, and it was difficult trying to train her brain to let it go rather than keep it back. She was able to move things along in that direction, though, and thought she might just get the thing down. But in one night, she turned the tides so quickly that it was flowing far more than she could handle. Her stone skin spread out from her body, covering her body, the chair she sat in and beyond. Yet again, her mother found her helpless, when she came to check in and share good news about the old neighborhood. During the time they kept hidden, she had heard tell of a place where people like Elizabeth were safe. The last thing she wanted was to make it seem like she was just sending her daughter away, but she worried for Elizabeth's safety and figured it was time to seek that option. She contacted them through the only means she knew how and they sent someone to take her precious daughter off to, hopefully, the start of a better life.

Bio-Electric Pulse Perception and Manipulation
   At the root of his power, Pulse is able to sense electrical fields and activity.  This perception manifested at an early age allowing him to sense when living creature drew near.  Electrical activity in the heart and nervous system alerts him to the presence of another person often before they are within range of his other senses.  As he grew older he found that he could map the area around him by using the electrical current of the building or area.  Through his various hunting trips he learned to focus his senses to track the rhythms of certain creatures and distinguish what those rhythms meant.  He could sense when his prey was growing anxious and might know of his approach, when they grew tired or relaxed from running and when they slept

   Combined with his attentiveness to the emotional state of his companions, Jacob can sometimes sense people's hidden moods almost as well as a telepath—or at least a polygraph. 

   Life in the harsh winters of Alaska forced him to strengthen the use of his abilities.  At a later age he found that he could emit subtle electrical pulses.  This pulse would radiate outward from him and combined with his perception to map the immediate vicinity.  Training and time allowed him to continually perform this task so that he could perceive the landscape even in the darkest of night. 

   At a full sprint he is able to sense subtle changes in the landscape, obstacles in his path and even man made hazards laid out for him.  As this electrical sense becomes more in tuned with his other more basic senses, he is able to act on this extra sense with extreme speed.  This pulse also had another, darker application that thrilled and excited him.  By extending his perception to a specific electrical point and filling the metal head of his arrow with a pulse of energy he could link the two.  While the shot is not perfect, the accuracy is far improved. 

   He is also able to emit a strong taser-like stun with his powers.  Right now he needs to touch his target for it to work, but he's working on learning to do it at range.

HISTORY:

 CIA Agent Paul Anderson a strong, active field agent.  He’d worked as a spy, an assassin, and counterintelligence during America’s many ‘policing actions.’  Along with conventional training, he spent two years in Alaska, learning survivalist skills from Inuits affiliated with the army.  

He had a weakness for a pretty girl, which was how he wound up letting an enemy agent into his bed while on an extended mission in South Africa.  He managed not to compromise the mission, but he discovered she was the foreign agent called Bright Eyes—an assassin capable of turning invisible and projecting blinding light or deadly laser beams from her hands.  

Paul’s loyalty was called into question on account of Bright Eyes not killing him, and he was left at a desk. especially when—two years later—he suddenly took it into his head to adopt a fifteen month old baby nobody could account for the origin of.

The finest assassin the world has never known. None know exactly where she came from or why she decided to make her presence known. Rumors and whispers attribute many deaths to her skilled hands but little evidence is able to make the vital links fit into place. What is known for certain is that during the crucial time of the Vietnam War and the Cold War Era she became an important figure in the espionage community. Some whispered she was a mutant while others were convinced she was a fictional character the intelligence community created to scare operatives. The codename Bright Eyes became a warning to any and all that death would soon visit. Only the dead know the truth behind such a name. 

Her disappearance was just as striking and unknown. There was little behind the vanishing act for the common man and operative as she may never have existed in the first place. Yet to the intelligence community her removal from the game opened a vacuum of power that few could fill. Fears circulated that she had defected to enemy informants. Few could guess that the world class killer had retreated to a secluded cabin in the northern wastes of Siberia to bear her child. So many would be surprised to know that the fear they shared and faced was from a woman’s desire to witness the first breath of her child. 

She reappeared three years later, as deadly as ever, and never spoke of where she’d been.

Stuck behind a desk, Paul new it was time to resign a few years later when his son’s eyes shifted from hazel to match his mother’s and he spoke of knowing whether or not the neighbors were home by the sound of their heart beats.  

Jacob spent most of his childhood in a cabin outside of a small town in Alaska.  He had few friends, and didn’t see the ones he had very often.  He spent most of his time studying, doing chores to keep up the house, hunting, and learning.  On his eleventh birthday his father dropped him off in the woods 7 days from home with just a knife and a jacket.  He got home ten days later with a bow, haunch of preserved meet, and some skins.  

At thirteen, he did the same thing with no knife, and Jacob arrived home in 9 days, this time with javelins and an atlatl because he hadn’t found any wood of sufficient quality to make a satisfactory bow stave, but the flint and chirt axe was still useable.  

And through it all his skills grew.

Golden Touch - Valerie can affect the properties of items she touches by using her blood or tears as a reagent.  A drop of blood and her full concentration allows her to transmute an item's basic makeup to that of a different element. Her most common use is to transform cheap trinkets into gold to sell. Even without her concentration, each drop of blood or teardrop can transform an equal volume of a substance to gold. Valerie's powers only work on non-living material, therefore she could not use her power to turn a person to stone. (This could change over time if the nature of her powers change)  The more complex or rare the material is, the harder it is for her to transmute. For instance, to transform something to adamantium would be incredibly taxing on her, as well as transforming adamantium into something else.
Innate Understanding - Any piece of equipment or machinery that she concentrates on can be understood entirely, allowing her to transmute broken pieces or enhance components with her Golden Touch ability. She can also manipulate the machinery to make it no longer work, causing pieces to rust or break. (May not work with alien or futuretech beyond her capacity to understand)  Her powers do not work on bio-technology or devices that can be considered alive.

Situational Awareness  Due to being constantly on the run, she has is constantly scanning her surroundings and is very good at noticing things that  are out of the ordinary.
Escape Artist Valerie has needed to escape from police armed forces, corporate security, and other dangerous people. In combination with her ability to transmute material she is quite flexible and is able to break out of most bindings.

DISADVANTAGES:
Hunted - People who know about her power want her. Having the ability to transmute basic elements into rare and valuable elements is highly valuable.
Low Tolerance to Heat - Due to a chemical imbalance, Valerie often has issues with her body temperature spiking.  Warm environments affect her as a hot environment might and hot environments can make her sick. This does however make her better at withstanding the cold.

HISTORY:
Valerie has been on the run since her powers manifested. She was 16 when she first noticed that various items in her room had changed to gold. It didn't take long before she was exploiting this power to augment her allowance. After selling things to pawn shops frequently, she was attacked by muggers who were hoping to steal from her.  Valerie stupidly explained she could make things change to gold. She was kidnapped and held hostage for weeks. It wasn't until she discovered she could manipulate locks with her power that she managed to escape. Word got around and she has been on the run ever since. Her parents have since gone into protective services and now, after three years she has finally found a place where she can let her guard down at Xavier's School for the Gifted.

Telepathy Mathew Frost's primary mutant power has been telepathy. He is capable of extraordinary psionic feats, including the telepathic standards of: broadcasting and receiving thoughts, mind-control, altering perceptions and memories, psychic shielding, astral projection, mind switching, brain engram modification, mental sedation, and induction of mental pain via touch. He is also able to boost or activate a mutant's powers through access of their brain's neurological pathways, and can communicate across global distances unaided.  Additionally, Frost is an "omega-class" telepath".

Diamond form Mathew’s diamond body is virtually tireless as he does not produce fatigue poisons and has no need for water nor food. He is also numbed from emotion, pain and empathy, impervious to cold, and resistant to heat in this form. Furthermore, in this form he has no need to breathe. Despite this high level of invulnerability, his diamond form has a single molecular flaw, which if exploited – such as being shot with a diamond bullet – can cause his body to shatter.

Telekinesis On occasion he has been able to lift an odd rock or spoon or an Apple when he needed it desperately, Although the power is largely out of his grasp and cannot be controlled on will like the other two.

HISTORY:
Growing up with a wealthy family Frost never had any problems when he was young, although being somewhat of a nerd and reclusive when it came to socializing he was often bullied and that was where he learned to fight back. He realized in 9th grade that he was able to read peoples minds, and at first it was very hard, but with time and practice his powers grew, at one point he almost exploded with frustration. He could not understand everything that was happening to him. 

His awkward behavior and complaints and then when his mental stress started effecting his life at home his father decided to put him to the belt to beat it out of him. After months of abuse he discovered another ability that he had hidden within him on a particularly bad night he was locked up in a small wooden box after he passed out and only taken out the next morning to be beaten again that was when his body turned into a hard diamond form. At first he couldn’t even more in that form but slowly like his other ability learned to control it. That was when his father disowned him.

The next few years of his life were tough as he spend them mostly on streets and while it was easy enough for him to steal or get people to give him their money he worked at various places scraping by, and by night he practiced his own skills in secluded alleyways and on unsuspecting hobos. It was on these alleys that he was recruited into the Xaviers school for gifted Children, At first he was very cautious of the people who had introduced themselves, they knew who he was and what he could do. Desperate to find a place where he would be accepted he went along.

General Appearance: Bridgett is long and thin. Her breasts are very small, and her hips are narrow. She does have a womanly shape, she just appears to be stretched out. Bridgett is kind of scary. She is naturally intimidating, and off-putting. It sort of looks like she's thinking about murder all of the time.

She doesn't trust easily, and death is always on the tip of her tongue. She's good at timing absurd jokes, making people react as offended as they are amused. Bridgett calls out other peoples bullshit, and she can usually do it without being offensive.

She's often snacking on something salty. Bridgett is a salt fiend, and she has a bit of an oral fixation. Potato chips, pretzels, nuts, etc. Her favorite thing in the world is kettle corn, and she is rarely caught without any on her person. Bridgett ultimately doesn't like people, but perhaps Xavier would be the only person that could truly know that. She has a number of contradicting layers. At first she seems offputting, then she may seem friendly, then creepy, then inviting, then insulting, and so on. This bi-polar tendency has very little to do with her mutation. She makes her hatred for the human race as blunt as her love for her friends. She supports peoples dreams, and she also makes fun of them if they fail.

DUPLICATION - The Ability to make a single copy of herself. (Like Multiple Man's 'Dupes'. Bridgett can only make one. Her Duplicate cannot create a duplicate. But her Duplicate is alive, with it's own identity, and is mind melded to the other Bridgett. If Bridgett Beta is harmed or killed Bridgett Alpha feels no pain, or loss, she can make another Bridgett Beta the moment that her previous duplicate is dead. Both Bridgetts can move around independently of eachother. Bridgett Alpha can apbsorb her duplicate, and regain all of the memories and life experiences of that duplicate, however, she will also absorb any damage or harm done to the duplicate in the process. That is completely. If Bridgett absorbs a clone without a left hand, Bridgett no longer has a left hand, forever. So, far, Bridgett has only collected some disturbing memories and a few scars, no missing limbs or damaged organs.

VISUAL/AUDIO HALLUCINATION TELEPATHY - Illusion, and minor telepathy. Bridgett cannot put words or ideas into peoples heads, but she can create false truths for them to hear and see, and read, and taste. Bridgett can make a bowl of rice taste like a bowl of maggots. She can make it look like her face is melted off. She can make herself look like medusa, or sarah palin. This is difficult to do to mutants, especially psychic and telepathic ones. But, it was fairly easy to trick humans into thinking that a fallen angel had come to collect them.

ANATOMICALLY WRONG -  Calm down, Bridgett has a vagina. (well.. two vaginas in a way?) But Bridgett only weighs 87 lbs. That was not a typo up there. And that's just the beginning. Bridgett's bones are flexible, and difficult to damage. There is something to the structure of her DNA that changed the consistency of her skeleton. Her bones aren't bones, and their not cartilage. It is painful when her bones do 'bend', but, the feeling passes quickly. Her joints, and places on her body that should be cartilage, are also made of this mysterious plastic-like bone material. Her bones are rigid, and they hold up her frail weight easily, she appears to be normal until some one starts to bend her. Needless, to say, she's never had any bones broken. More over, Bridgett bruises incredibly easily, and the bruises are always black, as if there is oil in her bloodstream. Bridgett is unbelievably flexible, and her tendons stretch like rubber bands. She is also anemic, so even a large bruise can be dangerous for her. Her blood is incredibly thin and has a lot of trouble clotting. Avoiding physical fights is best for her.


ADVANTAGES:

STALKERS INTUITION -  Bridgett is gifted, she can sense other peoples energies. The only way to feed a victim a good hallucination is to feel them coming and be prepared for them before they arrive. She cannot tell what some one is thinking about, but she can hear their thoughts, like a song that is signature to each and every person, a melody, announcing themselves to anyone who may or may not be able to hear the music. Intentions do not apply either, although she can usually tell what kind of mood some one is in as well by the 'sound of the music' if you will.
ENERGY - Bridgett doesn't really get exhausted, or sweat. This has everything to do with her mutated body. She breathes at an incredibly fast rate, but never in a panic or in a hyperventilating way, sort of the way a bird breathes. Her body temperature changes dramatically, but it never changes how comfortable or uncomfortable she is.
POSSIBLE MEDIUM - Bridgett claims that she can speak to the dead. She also claims that she can speak to crows, and ravens. And they carry the messages of the dead. She does not squawk at them, but they do squawk at her. It is hard to argue with Bridgett, Crows, and Ravens do tend to collect around her, and will occasionally even ride on her shoulder.

DISADVANTAGES:

VIRTUALLY PSYCHOTIC -Bridgett is more than one sandwich short of a full picnic basket. She rarely uses her Duplicate to do anything productive. She writes in a number of black and white composition notebooks, and then never lets anyone read them, for good reason, almost every page is littered with brutal murder scenes and bloody violence. It was mentioned that her duplicate never does anything productive. The two of them love to smoke cigarettes together. And they are often cuddling together in order to pass the time. She shares secrets with herself as if the other version of herself isn't going to know what she had just said.
BLUE-JAY FIGHTING SPIRIT - BLOOD DISEASE - She has no idea how to throw a punch or take one. So, if Bridgett gets into a fight, she feels a lot pain, but sustains no permenant damage due to her gumby body, however, the bruises that follow, and the pain could easily put her into a seriously bad condition, and her blood disease could easily kill her if she was badly harmed.

General Appearance: Clarice Ferguson was born different.  At first the physicians were concerned she had a skin condition as the pink tinge of her skin remained after birth and persisted no matter the lamps she was placed beneath.  When hair of magenta began to appear there was no mistaking her mutant heritage.  Eyes of blue quickly turned to a deep green that covered her entire orb, leaving no room for an obvious pupil.  As she grew older the tips of her ears became more pronounced, giving her an almost elf appearance.  Growing older also brought forth markings on her face of a light blue coloration.  Some might think the birth marks are deliberately set so intricate their design, but indeed she has no control over them or what they might mean.

Blink possesses an athletic figure, but has not been one to work at her body.  This has crafted a fuller figure to her, giving her a tad more curves to her frame.  She tends toward conservative clothing, but has lately been taking some more risks with her outfit such as opening the front up more and wearing tighter pants.  The presence of the opposite sex is new to her as she was raised in near seclusion on the small islands her mother picked out.  Often times Clarice wears a sad and contemplative expression on her face, as if in constant consideration and reflection.

Personality: Blink is a nervous girl and a fearful sort.  Sad to say that she does not fear so much for herself, but for what she might inflict on others.  Conversations regarding her powers are quickly ended as she gets up to venture elsewhere and she is afraid of what be let loose if she lets her control slip.  This has caused some conflict inside her as she truly enjoys being around people and helping them when she can.  There is also a great wellspring of curiosity inside the girl as she desires to not explore the world but has dreams of perhaps exploring the mysteries of science.

Teleportation Fields : Most would know this phenomenon as Portals, but in truth the constructs created by Blink are fields that teleport an individual instantly to another location.  Such fields require a tremendous amount of force to bend space in such a fashion and so can be unstable.  Blink may control the size and shape of these fields, using them offensively to teleport only a portion of an object or defensively to encompass the entirety of an item or block an oncoming attack by redirecting the person or power elsewhere.  Blink can link these portals together, creating more than one at a time.  Momentum and motion are not lost in the teleportation so that a car traveling forward through a portal does not suddenly stop once teleported.  When using the portals there is a distinct “blink” sound and when she throws the portals forward they manifest as pink javelins until the portal is created.

Spatial Awareness - Perhaps as part of her mutation to create the portals, Blink is aware of her location and the location of where her portals link to.

ADVANTAGES:
Determination - Blink does not commit herself easily to a task but once she does there is little to dissuade her from finishing to the end result.
The Center - Not a leader, she is certainly a follower but a valuable one as she can quickly become the center of a group in holding the members together. 
Quick Mind - Blink is not well educated but is extremely quick to pick up new material and coordinate information, allowing her to multi-task without difficulty.

DISADVANTAGES:
Trauma - Blink has set her mind to never using her powers again after the bloody massacre she caused.  Since she refuses to learn to control her abilities, wanting to suppress them instead, her abilities remain unstable and very dangerous.
Different - Blink cannot hide that she is a mutant.  There is currently no way to mask her physical appearance.
Poor Education - While home schooled and obtaining her GED, Blink remains woefully ill informed about the world and about people.

Gymnastics: - Clarice showed an aptitude for the sport while young, still practicing some of the exercises she learned.
Javelin: - Blink has toyed with the sport before and can sometimes be found on the track late at night, having a practice toss.

HISTORY:
There is a moment at birth when all stand to marvel at the new life brought forward.  A time of awe at the creation of new life, a moment of envy at the possibilities laid out for this new person.  Often times a father will take photographs to preserve this moment while a mother clutches their new found baby to their chest.  Clarice Ferguson had little of this as her birth heralded a surprised outcry from medical professionals and family members alike.  Clarice’s father shook with fear at what might befall his daughter, while her mother wept for a life that her daughter would never know.  Doctors rushed her to the intensive care unit horrified that she might be experiencing some sort of trauma at birth.  Weeks would pass and the tests came back negative.  Money exchanged hands as her father, a wealthy man who managed hotels, convinced hospital staff to keep quiet on the ordeal.  To official records the Ferguson family left with a shining, healthy baby girl named Clarice.

Clarice spent her youth locked away from onlookers.  The pink skin and magenta hair that caused such a fuss soon became endearing to her parents.  Green eyes that encompassed the entirety shined with intelligence and playfulness.  To her parents she was just another happy baby.  The outside world they knew would not see her the same as they did and so she was home schooled in seclusion.  Hotels offered a nice hideaway as she could have the luxuries of life without venturing far from the care of her parents.  Mother and father felt that there was hope for a decent life for the girl until the father passed away suddenly from a heart condition. 

The mother had little choice but to flee the island, moving for the Bahamas where she might find seclusion for her daughter and safety for her.  Clarice’s mother made for the Andros islands to raise her daughter, teaching her at home as they had done.  For her part, Clarice found the ability to venture out of their small home thrilling as she explored a warm world full of wind and water.  Even the beach was open to her as their small landscape includes a private place for her to swim.  While missing her father, she developed a belief that this was his gift to her and that here she would still find his presence.  Religion became a constant in her life as both mother and daughter struggled with the death of husband and father.  Both found their comfort there and happiness was laid across their small household.  Clarice’s mother began to attend Church and the preacher came to the house in order to baptize and perform sacraments for the small child.  Such was the foundation of their end.

Brimstone and fire are easy to preach in times of trial.  A hurricane descended on the island, pummeling the shores and landscape.  Clarice and her mother were forced to the town’s church for shelter.  The child, grown to womanhood, was covered in a cloak and hooded to prevent discovery.  Neither thought the storm would last so long and the priest could not hide the child’s appearance for long.  Folk had already suspected, but none had ever seen the girl.  Another priest, visiting from another parish saw the child and immediately preached a tirade of God’s wrath at sheltering the spawn.  Anger broke out, fear coursed rampade through the Church.  A sleepy town became a horror as they launched themselves at the frightened child to make her a sacrifice for their safety.

Clarice Ferguson killed that day.  She killed many people.  Wanting only to go home her portal opened like a horrific tear in space.  Unable to control such magnitude, people were rushed into the portal to be torn asunder.  Fear continued and more portals were opened.  A bloody massacre happened inside the Church as no one was safe.  In the morning, the winds died down and the woman knelt before the cross to hold what remained of her mother in her lap.  Around her a scene of gore greeted the warm sunlight of a new day.  Clarice intended only to kneel there until her death came.  That was not to be her fate as a young man came to collect her two days from that horrific night.  His name was Christopher Pryde and he had come to speak with her mother and now her about a new school.

Weak from not eating or drinking, there was little she could do to resist when she was pried from the church.  Food and water were taken reluctantly and he spoke to her, understood her fears and did not judge her.  He spoke of a place where others like him and her would treat her as equals and as peers.  Clarice was on a plane before she knew enough to say yes or no, having no will left to put up an argument.  Part of her wanted this to be true though, to believe that her life could be spent with others like herself and not alone.  Still she would not turn to her powers and told him as much.  A vow was taken to never do what she had done again, to never open a portal to another place again. 

To repeat the mistake that cost her so much simply could not be done.  At first she clung to Christopher, nearly refusing to leave her room unless he was somewhere close.  Gradually she crept out more and more, experiencing the grounds other teachers.  The GED was soon achieved and slowly she became secure enough to enter the normal student population.

Because it isn't a double. Spiderwoman isn't a genderbent version of Spiderman, she's a comic book character all on her own :)
