Character Personality: Susan has trained herself to a measure of cold-blooded patience, and an internal awareness that lets her.  She is often one of the last to offer her opinion on a matter, not because of shyness or anxiety, but because she routinely and reflexively weighs and measures the situation from as many angles as she can conceive before committing to a plan.  Likewise, she publicly submits herself to challenges and danger not because she enjoys the adrenaline thrill (though that is a perk!), but because she still feels the burning need to measure her limits, all in order to push past them in the fullness of time.

Character History: Susan was on a quasi-involuntary vacation from her fourth year of medical school, living it large in Las Vegas when she strayed from her coterie of fellow students, was ambushed by a figure in the dark, and found herself clawing from the earth in the traditional "Abridged Creation Rites" -- and, to the surprise of most, she was able to somehow translate the skills she used to survive school into ways to survive the madness of the attack against a band of Anarchs in the region.  Initially, Susan thought she had been hand-chosen to fulfill some sort of wicked prophecy -- but her sire never claimed her, and she never manifested the traditional Disciplines or weaknesses of the pack known to have sired that band of shovelheads.

Fine, she decided.  She was a Pander, one of the lowest scum clinging to the totem pole that her superiors could not all the same reject out-of-hand?  Fine.  How was that different from being a woman in medical school?  Or a daughter of her mother and father?  She already knew she was going to have to work harder than anyone else for the same results; this was a change in location and circumstance, not situation.  She doesn't -want- to have to change who she is in order to succeed at being a vampire, but she needs to learn how being a vampire really works before she makes that decision -- and that means study, application, trial and error, and learning.

Her attitude, relentlessness, and aversion to stupid carelessness eventually enamored her to the powers that be, and Susan received the official Creation Rites in February of 1970.  She attached herself to the first pack that would let her on, and has been studying her peers as much as she studies herself nowadays.  She's good at learning.  She wouldn't have gotten into this fix if she hadn't been one of the best women students her generation had to offer.  She's staked herself out a twenty-four hour 7-11 convenience store in the southwestern corner of Vegas for herself as a feeding ground, a claim nobody else in the city has contested (whether because of its size, general irrelevance to the city's major players, or the will to let the Pander have a little something for herself).  And between this, Susan believes, has all the nights to come to do this whole Children of Caine thing right.

However many dots you put in Generation will influence how I stat NPCs rather than your PC needing to be built around my characters. NPCs will scale up/down depending on what you take in the background. The only restriction you have on Generation at the moment is that you can't have more than 3 dots in the background. ^^

(Of course, if someone asks for the same Sire as you, we will all need to work together on an agreed amount of Generation dots)

Character Personality: To most who are just meeting him, Marcus comes off as a shallow, party-loving, full-of-himself hedonist, but there is far more ambition in him than they give him credit for. He has a natural charm and ability to sway others, and knows just how to put it to use for his benefit and the benefit of those around him. Speaking of, he is quite personable-- even kind towards those he likes-- and is very much invested in seeing his associates thrive.

Character History: Marcus was born in Las Vegas, son to the owners of a then-unremarkable casino-hotel named 'King's Gold'. In looking to the past, one would that it was a sadly 'traditional' casino-- that was to say that before the famed months of the Moulin Rouge in 1955, it was an unquestionably segregated place like all the others. By the time he was allowed to work for his parents, however, it had adapted with the times (no doubt in response to its competition with the aforementioned Rouge).

Still, its past prejudices were a problem to be addressed once his father died of cancer in 1963 (having been one of the many Vegas residents affected by the fallout from nuclear testing). Once his father passed, he inherited the casino and all the boons and flaws that came with it. For a twenty-one year old kid with an addictive personality and a dead parent, the added stresses did nothing to help him. In fact, the way he saw it, the casino's soul purpose was to provide him with all the women, cocaine, and hooch he could handle.

Unsurprisingly, this led to him being a horrible owner, and he nearly went bankrupt in his first year. But, as he eventually managed to grasp from his father's time as owner, close calls could lead a man to adapt for the better. And that was just what he did. He dialed back the sex, drugs, and rock n roll, and put forth a considerable effort for once in his life; the results, as they say, speak for themselves. In fact, they spoke so loudly, and consistently, that a vampire came knocking.

Her name was Isabella, and despite his charming-- if very forward-- attempts, her interests seemed to lie solely in his aptitude for business. She started hanging around for a time soon after (something he mistook for her playing hard to get at the time), and then she up and disappeared without a trace. As he would later learn in easily the most brutally honest confession he'd ever experience, she was just there to size him up for Sofia de Viamonte; to see if he was smart and capable, or just as dumb as he seemed, and following some Cainite's command.

This was something he probably should have been grateful for, because after finding out that he was not under Cainite control-- that he'd actually overcome his inner demons enough to succeed-- Sofia figured ghouling him would be a waste. She saw a potential him that was not yet fully realized, and it was on that night that she Embraced him.

The past year was one fraught with training and study; specifically in the occult. It was a Lasombra's bread and butter, as he came to understand, and once he got a feel for Obtenebration-- not to mention the power that came with knowledge of one's allies and enemies-- he dived in with a thirst that near matched his need for blood. And fortune favored him in that regard, it seems, as his Sire and her second saw fit to help him quench this thirst.

Now, thanks to his Sire and his Mentor, he considers himself well-versed in all things Cainite; just not enough to spurn Isabella's tutorship. His interest in the knowledge she holds is almost as clear as his interest in pursuing her even still. Not even he is sure how deep this attraction goes, however-- only that the adores the chase, and that look she gets when he rains compliments on her.

Character Personality:
Soma is a defiant, rebellious, individual who wants to live life to the fullest. Now that she has eternity to do it in, she's started to think more about the inequalities of the world, and how to level them. She finds the Sabbat approach much to her liking, and having lived her life in a world where power is the only thing that matters, she's more than happy to have a piece of it for herself. She's fun-loving, gregarious, and gets very into her tasks. She is quick to fire up and quick to chill. She's happy to live a reckless life and maybe a bit too happy to take the rest of the world along for the ride with her.

Character History:
Soma has lived in Vegas for years, having come to the city as a runaway teenager looking for something more out of life. She never talked much about where she came from or why she left, and in the City of Sin nobody really wanted to know. She was a part-time hooker, a part-time junkie, and a part-time grifter when she was embraced. With no long term plan, rising in the morning not knowing if the day would end in one of the most expensive casinos or an alley, she didn't mind life in the fast line at all, even when it careened out of control. She always stayed in the casinos, liking the lack of permanency. She never let a pimp touch her, and was notorious for being one of the few hookers who took care of herself when she was on a stroll.

Soma was embraced by a Tzimisce who kept to the shadows even moreso than her kind usually did. Anastazie was the only name she went by, she had come to America as a refugee during the second world war, a legitimate refugee from an old world power struggle happening in the shadow of atrocity, and had grown disgusted by how peaceful it was. There were no upheavals, no revolutions, no change. It didn't sit right with her. So she put together her own little group of revolutionaries, fed them the best china white and the best new thinking and some impressive stacks of cash and had them ready to blow up every bank in Vegas. Soma felt this would be the ultimate rush, and her defiant streak had finally found a cause. She never stopped to think about if any of it really checked out, she just wanted to be part of something bigger.

When the time came though, her crew chickened out on her and left her alone holding the detonators as the police surrounded them. She was still swearing at them to get back when a police sniper took her out. She managed to crawl to her switch and hit it, only to die furious as she realized her crew had bailed before they'd even placed the charges right. Damage was done, but nowhere near what she was hoping for.

Then she woke up. Anastazie told her she had earned eternal life. And her first reward? Killing the ones who had left her to die. Soma did it with relish. She showed an instinct for livign life the Sabbat way that made her sire proud. When she had finished her first reward, Anastazie gave her her second, she set her free to do as she wished.

The two had a brief, passionate, intense romance as Soma showed her the sparkling side of Vegas. Anastazie showed her how to play doctor, a skill that would come in handy with the gifts she would one day discover, and the two enjoyed life to the fullest. Eventually it came to an end, and Anastazie retreated back into her shadowy ways, leaving her childer to change the world.

So, the first concept I had, the more I think about it, probably would fit in better with the 80s or 90s, not the 70s. Scrapping that, but still interested. Just need something else.

Character Personality: Alessa was a self-interested thug before she was embraced, and is a self-interested thug after being embraced.  She despises her sire and much prefers the more refined and cultured clans and elders, but that doesn't stop her from acting like a thug.  She is a soldier through and through, happy to follow orders as long as she gets to hurt someone.

Character History: Alessa Guerriero was born in Las Vegas in 1948, the second child of a GI who served in Europe and his highschool sweetheart.  Her father was an enforcer for organized crime while her mother slowly descended into alcoholism.  Alessa joined the police in 1968, a promising cop with enough of an edge that she got along well with her comrades.

She was, to put it simply, corrupt.  She took the bribes, roughed up the informants and the criminals, and while she never buried a body in the desert she certainly knew where a couple were located. 

A serial killer was cutting a swathe through the city in 1969, and the police seemed more interested in covering it up than investigating.  Alessa too tried to ignore it as directed, right up until the fifth victim turned out to be her brother.  He had been drained of blood, his liver and heart had been torn from his body, and one of his arms had been found a dozen paces from the rest of him.  Alessa vowed revenge.

The investigation lead her in pursuit of a beast of a vampire with a bad habit of frenzying.  He was fast becoming a liability even to the Sabbat, but Alessa knew none of that.  She cornered the serial killer in an alley and emptied her service revoler into him to no effect.  She tried to get back to her car to call for back-up, and was knocked flat by the weight of a body leaping through the air.  She felt teeth in her neck.

She was embraced, though even the beast that had done it couldn’t say why.  “Animal instinct” he explained.  “Someday you’ll understand.” 

Her Contact is probably a Police Sergeant/Lieutenant with some influence who she has helped in the past.  She kept silent when she needed to, watched his back, etc.  He is where he is because she helped him, and he is willing to give her information in return.

Her Ally is a pawn shop owner and local fence.  A man who she has helped keep both out of prison and out of the morgue. 

Note: It has been awhile since I have played Vampire so hopefully I didn't butcher things too much.  My thought for the sire was that he is more of an animal they unleash on a target than anything.  Useful, but looked down upon.
