Nicci put it into my head to play a Lesser Aasimar Barbarian-esque character, so expect to see one.

There is always a need for the straight guy in the group, so going lesser aasimar fighter would be better. With your righteous virtue and need to fuck every pretty girl you find, for the glory of spreading the ideals of aasimar!

But seriously, aasimar are the man whores of DnD.

Basically who ever gets me a solid tank/fighter and a healer are very good for a spot, since those two are vital classes. The other two could be anything else and still fit a party dynamic.

The lesser tiefling and lesser aasimar characters are definitely getting in, since that is just too funny not to pass up. You two should be at each others throats before a epic chance of romance and love making, while after wards hiding it from the rest of us that you two are lovers.

Ugh, animal companions. They are a huge hassle for DMs, and only serve to annoy during combat. I could maybe handle one, thanks to the druid in the group, but not two.

Right now we have lesser tiefling sorceress, lesser aasamir fighter, and elf druid. So there is one slot open for a male healer of some sort, since druids don't exactly specialize in healing.

I'm contemplating a gray elf beguiler. If you don't like the beguiler class, I'll probably go for gray elf wizard.

If my character would buy a headband of intellect, at what level would it start to take effect skillpoint wise?

- One free player centric magic item, that helps flesh out your character. Mostly a chance to create some naughty magical items for the fun of it.

What exactly does "centric" mean? And would you pick the magic item, or do you want us to pick it ourselves?

Ok, healer class, again. Hmm, lemme go through the available classes...

Like I said with the fighter and his sword he got from his father. For a cleric, the obvious choice would be his holy symbol, that would do something interesting.

As for naughty items, just have to be creative. I'm sure that the male healer in the party will be greatly appreciated by the two girls in the party if he had a portable bathtub and knew how to use it. Since a cleric has create water as a 0 level spell. That and this spell does not specify what temperature the water created comes out too, so you can have it at what ever reasonable degree you want.

I gave one these tubs in my real life game, just to see what would happen. The paladin and truename mage got into a half hour argument over who got to keep it. It boiled down to the paladin invoking his noble stature, while the truename mage countered by being naked.

:'( *sigh* Very well, I guess that saves me some money though. I'm still trying to think of my special item... seeing as how I'm a sorceress, could it be a +2 Charisma item? Not really sure how to make that sexy though... Maybe it could be a garment that causes her to release more pheromones than normal?

The +2 charisma item could be a nipple ring, or something sexy attached to your body. Or a nice red metallic collar.

Considering you mentioned the Book of Erotic Fantasy, would you want a class from that book? The Imagist has the healing spells of a spontaneous divine caster, but has an arsenal of utility spells on it's list that are usually kept for the arcanists.

I'm contemplating between that and the Favored Soul, making him rather physical heavy while relying on spells for augment/backup.

I'd be willing to drop my character's animal companion, since it didn't fit that well with the concept.  Would it be possible to trade that ability for an extra couple of uses of Wild Shape per day?

Hmm, my "sorceress" is pretty melee heavy already, probably focusing on primarily buff spells, so someone more focused on casting might be preferable...

Myeah, well, classes that can cure wounds lack the more interesting spells.

My original plan was to go arcanist/utility, relying on spells such as suggestion out of direct combat, but I haven't found a decent healing class capable of casting Suggestion.

Actually, I just noticed it's part of the Domination domain. Perhaps I could go that way after all.

That's an idea; I'd also like to point out that bards can heal and cast enchantments, and with that reserve feat in Complete Mage, you can heal at will, up to half total hit points. So for out of combat healing, it could just work.

Yeah, but Bards are a pretty subpar healing class. The druid would do a better job at it.

I just skimmed over the Reserve feats, but I didn't catch the one that did as you say.

I also considered the Arcane Disciple feat with the Healing domain, but unfortunately, I can only cast 1 domain spell per spell level that way.

Ack, why didn't I think of the Factotum before? Even with a Wisdom of 14, I could heal like 85 hp/day, which should be ok if we have a druid as backup? Could also buy a wand to help out on the healing, using the Use Magic Device skill. Or I could dabble into Chameleon at level 6 for some extra healing when required.

EDIT: Ok, I'm going to wait and see if the Factotum (+ Chameleon) is ok by her book. If not, I'll go for Cleric with the Domination domain.

I've got some basics worked out for either character, and can complete one of them when Nicci gives me the yay or nay on the Factotum one.

Well, to be fair, I was kind've going for a defensive sort of Battle Mage ::). But yeah, looks good except that bracers of armor don't typically stack with normal armor, because they give the same kind of bonus; you might want to switch them to a ring of protection or amulet of natural armor etc.
